- In this video, I showcase to you the latest teams that are emerging with Blade and how much of a huge impact he has had in Honkai Star Rail. I also cover the latest changes made to Memory of Chaos and the overall temporary buffs that Blade will be getting in this Honkai Star Rail 1.2 Update. I will also talk about Blade meta build that I believe is going to be popular in endgame as well as explain the importance of HP stat... and how you can work around it and instead go for SPD DPS Blade :)

Tingyun deals additional damage with attack which is not fit for Blade who uses health as his attack, while Bronya boosts overall damage
the additional damage from my Tingyun is about 2.5k, but I have taken into account this damage for the video :) still doesn't come close to Bronya's buffing :D
You can also use tingyun to buff luochas healing and just use her ult on blade.
@@skullkrusher-dx4kg The attack buff is really only half of Tingyun's skill, as she also does additional damage when she attacks or when her target attacks. So unless you're also going critical hit rate body piece for Luocha you should go Asta. For a better attack buff with a little micromanaging, your entire team gets boosted, and that extra speed would go well with Welt. Fighting an opponent with fire weakness helps a lot. If you only want damage, that still goes to Bronya. Yukong is just too clunky and inconsistent to be considered good.
@@snowyforest6058 im not disagreeing with any of your points. Some people just like tingyun and its useful having a batterie. Yukong is honestly better at dealing damage then buffing lol. She basically needs her eidolons.
Blade, Lynx, Silver Wolf, and Bronya. I'm going to aim for that team in the future...
It seems like Blade is perfectly fit to counter every new enemy.
That bloody curse that make you lose 35% of your max hp the prana something is just straight blessing for Blade

@@rumputpanjang7380 it's not max hp, it's just heal-able hp (the end of the hp bar is greyed out so your characters always stay at
ofc he is. every update new enemy is made to be countered by the new limited character same as honkai 3rd. while this game uses more genshin systems than honkai. when it comes to team building is way more like honkai where you need certain characters against certain bosses and have no good replacement. but still it wont matter since unlike honkai there is no leaderboard here with ranking system. so no need to spend to try to maintain a rank.
@@lucaskp16genshin works really good with f2p characters as log as the team is right , it seems hsr is the same , but the weakness thing is kinda get me fkd a bit reminded me of tower fantasy and i used to main geo in genshin and in hsr ihve to think about building many different teams is just bit pain 😂
A heads up for anyone wanting to run blade with luocha. A secret vow is significantly worse with this combo because luocha heals way too much for blade to ever be lower than the enemy after the first 2-3 turns. You could intentionally hold off on luocha healing for a bit but at that point just bring natasha and put luocha on the other side. This is only really a problem for secret vow and the one 3 star cone tho, so if you run a different light cone there shouldn’t be any issues.
Still better than basically any LC outside of his signature though
sadly theres no more options right now , only his lc so right now hes fine with the base dmg % from secret vow
Luocha isn't his best healer anyway. Luocha is specifically made for jingliu. For blade, you want to wait for lynx as she buff hp+increase taunt on her target. Also aoe heals that cleanse. Once lynx is here, you would drop luocha immediately.

Something that kinda makes me sad is that he is basically better than jin yuang with his aoe, and he even doesn't even need that much set up
his e like 1.5x dmg jing yuan e, sp neutral , his fl up attack is decent , self sustain is insane , i got both of them with both of their signature LC
Yeah it's kinda fucked up how his follow up attack does similar damage if not more than jing yuan when follow up attacks are supposed to be jing yuan's gimmick. And the fact that you don't need to get stacks or anything, you just attack or get hit. 5 stacks compared to 10 as well. But that's just how they sell shit, we'll be talking about blade the same way as well when yet another character pops up that does more damage than blade while being sp positive with multiple f2p lightcone options available etc.
What 👁👄👁? Blade out damages Jing yuan??? Uhm.....
Jing Yuan likely will get a new relic set with his Rerun to buff him up to other AOE‘s damage or even higher so you just need to wait a little longer sadly

Blade - Otto is enough. Add a buffer and he easily clears.
Add bronya to the ecuation
The only problem is currently there are no buffer that actually works with blade. Most harmony unit are buffing attacks while blade prefer hp/damage boost

@@danielak1666ynx and Fu Xuan both increase max HP and effect res. Problem is, Blade's ult takes HP lost into account and Fu Xuan lessens damage taken

This is exactly why I don't get what erudition is supposed to do when destruction characters like blade can deal with aoe and do follow up attacks and can tank hits too as destruction is supposed to do. Feels like erudition as a class is a joke, coming from a e5 qq main, love her so much
It hurts me so much because I knew erudition was never going to work for contents that matter, and I ended losing two chances for good 5 stars trying to get one copy of Tingyun.

The thing is tho, Destruction is only limited to 3 target's at a Time while Erudition can attack all 5 enemies on the field, but they still feel lacking probably because of how straightforward their kits are.
In the future I think we're gonna get a content that requires hitting all 5 enemies at the same time so there's still hope for them
Let be honest, QQ should be destruction character with the way she work
@@MoyaMoyashiiClara's Skill can hit all enemies tho but it needs to have a Mark of Counter to deal more damage
Blade would fit perfectly in the slot next to by Fire Trailblazer. He can take the splash damage from enemies when they hit TB and doesn't use a lot of skill points, which is also perfect for my Qingque.

i’ll add that the Secret Vow buff is a bit hard to manage if you’re using Luocha with Bladie, since Luocha auto-heals a lot
I got Blade on my fifth 10 pull, and he's very cool. But honestly, not having characters like Luocha or Bronya definitely makes me feel like my account sucks. At this point I'm wishing Kafka and the new DoT team is crazy good. If not then I'll wait for IL next update, Jingliu on the one after that(probably) and then either go for the next best healer or wait for Luocha's rerun. But who knows when that will happen.

I’ve been having so much fun with blade. Just got him yesterday and I was hoping I wouldn’t regret it. Luckily I didn’t. I’m 30 wishes away from my free standard 5 star choice. I don’t have Bronya so I’m hyped to finally use her with Blade.
Honestly, Bailu is a great option too since she increases max hp

I was literally learning details about blade since 2 weeks on yt before his banner came out and most of them were sounding like he is ok..but I still chose to pull for him even if he was bad and I am glad I did pull and got him .

I didn't really want to pull for Blade at first but then I changed my mind because I played him with the support function a few times and was like he's fire (no, he's wind but you get what I mean). I got really lucky because I actually got Bronya from his 1st ascension wish at 19 pity. It will take a while until I perfect both their builds (I didn't pre-farm anything, it was a pretty impulsive decision but I'm happy with the results) but once I do they and Luocha (and maybe Welt) will make an epic team

I've never lost a 50/50 yet so I have every limited characters + Clara, Himeko from standard and Yanqing from beginner banner
I'll probably have to wait until I can select a 5 star at 300 pulls to get Bronya

I would love to get him, cuz he has very low sp cost and i really feel the need to have someone clearing adds when i run YQ or Seele (i think this won't feel so bad when i gear then properly), but i think going for mono quantum with Fu and getting the imaginary team with Daniel will be more valuable for me account

I caved in and went for Blade and since I do have Luocha and Bronya+her LC I plan to use him on this team Luocha/Blade/Bronya. I am only missing SW honestly, so idk if I either go for Pela or Yukong as last slot.
I would do pela, yukong doesn’t really offer him much in comparison, and she’s clunky to use
Bronya, Blade, Pela, and Bailu is a very good team. Tingyun actually doesn’t offer as much dps bonus because he scales off HP more than ATK.

THANK YOU! I'm so happy you pointed out Fire MC's tiny shield. I keep seeing that you shouldn't use ANY preservation with Blade, but I had a sneaking suspicion that Fire MC was fine. I'm new to hoyovers. Games in star rail is my first, I don't have Bronya, and I watch a lot of content creator guide videos. I didn't wanna feel pretentious but I appreciate you mentioning that makes me feel more comfortable with my F2P team comp, Blade(Sub/AOE dps), Fire MC, Sushang, Nat. I have Pela but I'm just not to comfortable swapping her out with Sushang just yet because she dies a lot on my teams. Currently TB 40, EQ 2, main team all lvl 50.

Every limited 5* has been busted in some way. Theyre all S tier in some regard and im happy theyre bringing so many great characters that can mesh so well together!
its also bad in a way since we have to get all of them or wait for atleast a year. and to get all of them you either have to get lucky or p2w

be patient or use *4 that is , at least the game still cares about alternative choice that is 4* , ive seen something worse i wont spill the game but its quite similar togenshin but all 5* regular banner is useless in late game and *4 is just like trash.

i am running blade/ welt/ yukong and luocha in the team, working wonders
I decided to simply pull all my warps until I see a character I really like and leave things up to fate. And I just got Blade 0 pulls after I got a Luocha. So fate it is.
I didn’t realised how good of a healer luocha is until my other team with natasha keeps on dying in MoC, bladie you lucky man u get to monopolise my luocha (at least until lynx arrive)
Wait dosen't fire mc attracts enemy's attacks with his skill? Also since the fire mc has the preservation path the mc's aggro value is higher than blades, meaning that the mc is most likely to be attack throwing blade's passive on the trash
Fire mc can be sp gen so nat can keep proc her skill any time
@@Valia2899 yeh but blade is alr sp positive by only using his skill once every 3 turns, having another sp gen would be overkill
@@abaacxi6171 hes neutral, when he uses his skill he consumes 1 sp and enhance his basic atk for 3 turn but his basic atk cant regen sp

@@Valia2899You don't want Mc, the protection is negligible and any preservation will take agro from Blade. Also the shield doesn't help either if you can solo sustain with your healer you shouldn't be using any preservation unit
i was testing out fire trailblazer! he is actually pretty solid for blade. His shield sometimes blocks out some dot which can build talent but thats very minimal and he does take aggro but blade still builds talent stacks just fine, we dont currently have a way (lynx please release) to add taunt value without gaining a shield atm so its fine in the grand scheme of things. He is a destroyer thats for sure.

So doubly nerfs blade cause he wants to be targeted to gain stacks faster and also wants to be in lower health to do max damage
@ADNaoo nah realistically blade gains talent stacks perfectly fine even on his own and also his hp lost for his ult. Trust me blade will definitely be at lower percentages of his hp so that teeny baby shield that fire tb provides just lays off some dmg. Ive actually found myself in numerous situations where blades skill and enhanced auto straight up bring me to 1hp. Hes actually especially good if you dont have luocha since Fire TB also keeps the rest of your team alive as well just well enough to not get in the way of blade since there's no taunt increase w/o shield rn.
@@Maple7654I do agree it isnt exactly ideal since I'll probably be booting him and Natasha off the team once lynx rolls around since they have some sort of taunt heal idk.

i tried several characters for blade as a f2p build, it felt like team members are drag when using blade, he works very well as SOLO until you are lock(Frozen,etc) & DoT applies stacks each tick, so if you have 5 wind shear, ohhh boy, you know what happens next.

I was aiming to get Sushang eidolons and I get her to E6 so I'm quite happy! But then I got Blade AND THEN lost the 50/50 in the same 10 pull to Clara. And then 10 minutes later after levelling up my Blade and using the standard warp tickets I got another Clara... I just can't express how happy I am 😭

I notice people always put Blade in the second slot of the team lineup. Is there a gameplay reason behind that?
Because first slot is usually the healer and putting a tanky character beside them will be safer for those characters that are more squishy.

For me I typically put my DPS first (cause she gets hit the most), healer/shielder, then random character (lately it’s been Sampo), and whoever has the least def/hp at the last slot.
But idk lol I need to look up lineup suggestions. Hopefully haven’t been doing it wrong this whole time. Especially now that I have Blade, want to make the best team possible with the characters I have
Simple reason blade wants to get hit to proc the new relic set and losing blade hp when paired with loucha in first place or any tanky units so it help blade to get hit so that he can launch follow up attack as soon as possible hope it helps😊
Show me Welt's full build. I'm building a mono img team. Yukong is a break build, Luocha is Luocha but still not sure about Welt being a EHR debuffer or a sub DPS.

Doesn't Clara have a high taunt value? Blade might not get targeted frequently enough to get his buffs from losing HP. It's better to use Clara with March 7 and Yanqing to increase latter's survivability and to ensure his stacks will hold. But that's only my thoughts.
anyone know how i can taunt without a shield? I find that enemies hit everything except blade. and i obviously cant put a shield for his ult
I also use a double Bronya team though my dps and healer are dan and byaku

The problem with using Trailblazer is She/he has a high taunt/target value so enemies are gonna target them instead of Blade
Tbh, if you don't run Luocha for the auto heal, then letting everyone hit blade is a risk, also, Stelle with Gepard light cone will be hit way more often, with her E she will be the target even more often than Tingyun, but the thing with blade being a Destruction character makes him no much more of a target for attacks, i stopped running Stelle because her shield can screw up blade's charges when he does get hit with AOEs, but since she's mot on the team, Bronya, Asta and Luocha are more of a target than Blade, so i end up with damaged Supports and no Blade Follow Up anyway

While tingyun isnt Blade's best option, she still VERY good with him provided you have her lightcone(BP exclusive) the buff cycling is for the entire team

Ok i dont know what the opinion is on this but ill say what i think. I don't like having the "[element type damage boost] " on my relics. Simplu because i think it doesnt scale on character's talent ( since they usually scale off attack, hp or defense) . Anyone else thinks this or is there something inam missing?
I believe the reason is the diminishing point. Basicly once you invest too much on a stat the boost that the character get is less significant than if you invest on other stat. For example (not exactly the right calculation) , from 1000 to 2000 atk you will get 10% dmg boost but if you invest more from 2000 to 3000 atk you will only get 5% dmg boost, this is the diminishing point. Meanwhile once you reach 2000 atk and then you invest on elemental dmg bonus, you will get anothet 10% dmg boost so it's better to invest on another stat once you reach the diminishing point.

you're right about 4* card being harder to pull ,genshin always works that way , i tried to pull secret vow but ended up getting his signature first after got 2 random cards , and somehow i got secret vow from standard banner😅 which made me feel bit angry but since its just about 30pulls i dont really mind it much.

I think Blade does more DMG than Jing Yuan, because he doesn’t ask for as much as JY. Blade just wants HP CRIT and maybe SPD if you can afford it. JY wants alot of SPD but also the usual DPS Stuff (ATK CRIT)
It it also worth mentioning that if the Relics Mainstat Chances are similar to Genshin, then an HP scaling Character Build is just easier to get than a DPS Build

Please god do not use slows or preservation units with blade. His kit is based around being attacked, triggering his follow up attack to maximize his damage. Using units like Dan heng, Welt, Fire TB, Gepard and March is going to significantly nerf your blade compared to if he was alone on a team, not even compared to bronya / silver wolf / pela.
Yeah. Something he forgot to mention with fire TB is that he actually taunts ennemies so they dont even attack blade for a turn. Same to a lower extent with gepard. March would make ennemies attack blade more frequently but the shield would still nullify damage lol
fr, bad guide, Blade is like Clara he wants all the aggro to him so he does more damage the difference is Clara can work with shield Blade however wants to lose hp as much as possible so he can hit the 90% max hp loss scaling on his ult for juicy damage, putting something like a preservation may take away aggro from Blade.
the difference with blade and clara is that clara is counter atk oriented, she needs to get hit to do dmg while blade is more active. You guys are putting way to much emphasis on his talent, his basic also hit hard, yes I agree running him with a THIC shield is kinda dumb, but fire TB is fine with him since the aggro value means nothing, and especially with a weaker healer TB can take off some dmg on your blade. The guy hurt himself anyways so he only need to occasionally get hit.
About his ult, dmg is nice but it works better as a hp management tool, that's the true value of it. Above 50 you gain 1 stack, below 50 you have heal. he's a survival unit people are too fixed on the "get hit to do more dmg" trope
I think you're mistaken blade for clara. Blade didn't mind getting attacked, but he isn't "attack me please" Type of character. His enchanted basic attack is also hit hard and does consume his hp so he could proc his own talent. That's why fire mc shield is not that bad for him. he still prefers no tank play though since being hit does help him

His talent gains stacks whenever he loses hp by either being attacked or consuming his own hp(by skill, ult, enchanted basic attack), so he doesn't necessarily needs to be attacked.

Technically he works with any healer. It's just Blade and Luocha is next level synergy
yeah bailu or natasha can do the work until we get lynx, she might be even better for blade than luocha
As long as you have Nat or Bailu you will be fine. Blade also does not require cleanse from DOT as he wants to take damage and trigger his follow up anyway.
Im using Blade with Natasha and he's doing fine. Blade + Luocha would be significantly better if u have his signature LC.
He works with any healer. But if you're using secret how than luocha wouldn't be as great cause he heals too often.
But if you're using blade lc then luocha us the best healer with him.

Now this makes me the luckiest person ... After 3 reruns in the game I surprisingly get blade at my first 10 pulls at the warp event and to add spice for that, I get bronya on my departure warp.. Holy***
I got welt and blade as my first to 5 stars. Like genshin i doubt not having the right light cone (or weopen) will break him.
