There's an actual case study for hp% orb for survivability reasons over wind damage since the damage loss is around 2-3% but you gain about 1200-1500 hp. It's probably the biggest drama in the HSR community right now with youtubers flinging dirt at each other but there are video showcases onlines comparing the dmg output, another youtuber doing his own math showing it too. Just for the comment readers to know that it's not the end of the world if you don't have a wind dmg boost orb and only have hp% orb and it will likely come down to their substats if you have both. Ideally, wind having hp% substat would be the best of both worlds. Cheers all :)
To me, he is one of the easiest dps to build , you really can not go wrong with hp over wind orb, or hp over crit damage chest, then you can either run hp boots or speed boots, depending on who your running with and bronya if you have her, I did only 8 runs and got soo lucky, ended up with 7,500 Hp, 65% crit rate / 170% crit damage / 128 speed.

Blade work best with Bailu as healer she doesn't cleanse dots on him, allowing you to get more Gift proc's out of Blade in highest theoretical damage values. So after his own turn if he gets hit and applied with a dot he will gain two stacks from Bailu where as Luocha may cleanse him after taking the initial damage resulting in only one hit for Gift proc. Bronya will already cleanse the dot and she should only ever move after Blade in ideal situations. Blade already does a good job at healing himself and sometimes with Luocha he will full heal blade when Gift will already heal him if he procs it and ult can be utilized to reset hp value to 50% meanwhile your Bronya is constantly getting smacked around resulting in you needing to heal her. Of course utilizing Bailu as a main healer comes with it's own disadvantages but in terms of endgame builds it's much stronger if you know what you're doing. At the end of the day use what healer you like just know that when you see Bailu with Blade there is a method to the madness. I see comments about people saying you don't need speed boots. Speed allows you to take the dots faster if you've been hit resulting in higher dps potential, faster ults, safer hp manipulation in a party. Every test I have personally done, speed boots is stronger than HP boots. Play whatever you want to play just understand how your characters work and why they're paired together as well as side effects of running certain pairings.

How is the crit rate requirement determined for the inert salsotto and arena sets, does it take into account in battle crit buffs? Thanks, for a couple of days now I've been trying to force 70+% crit rate with the new sets and it's hurting my dps a lot. I completely forgot about Inert Salsotto only needing 50% to work
i recommend that u should use w7 set when using bronya or speed boot to gains stack fast (e0) , if you have e1 above then go for the w6 set also cause it's very good when teaming with lynx ( healer with healing skill that provides taunt to destruction and persavation class ) and jing liu ( consuming teamates hp to deal mote dmg )
@@naw613 people that use Mutual Demise S5 can also get the 70% crit easily, so i wouldnt consider the new set a premium with him (100% premium with the rest of the characters)
i spent way too many relic upgrade mats upgrading an atk% ribbon and atk% boots when I needed Hp%. worst thing is I had an hp% 5 star ribbon on set and an hp% 4 star boots on set but I foddered them but I did that before I properly read his abilities 😮💨 guess I'll have to do more relic farming and pray for some hp% 😩
"His kit is better designed than Hu tao". Honestly you're not wrong, when I first saw the leaks on Blade's kit I immediately lost my mind and started laughing how Genshin did it. THIS is how an HP% character is supposed to function. It's what Hu tao would had become in the game but seems like Genshin devs had different ideas. (Probably so that Hu tao wouldn't become the 1 man army-not-need-anyone else kind of character for money) Although Blade's kit still has imperfections, it does make sense as to why he had to be nerfed or "humbled" in a sense for this game. After all, mihoyo needs to balance and make money. Anyways, thank you for another very helpful guide!
since i got his e2 (30 pulls, 3 blades... pretty broken.) I actually am unironically using max hp 2-piece relic set, literally just cuz i got an HP, CR, CD piece for both. im running when relic stacks are max, 82 CR and 150 CD with 9k max HP and 2k attack. My blade feels so so busted.
I built my Blade at 135 spd and Bronya at 134 spd. During the first MOC turn my Blade can attack 4 times, which guarantees a talent proc and basically guarantees 0 turn first stage clear. Saves me so many rounds lol. If I switch to hp boots it's like a 15% damage increase so yeah speed is a no brainer.
10:23 That's why I hate how people compare him to Hu Tao because that's literally what Hu Tao needs. It's kinda like a misinformation because Luocha didn't work that way. Thank you for addressing it The only thing that is comparable for both of them is the HP double scaling. Which genshin already had many characters who do that.
For lightcones wouldn't "under the blue sky" be better for him than the 3 stars considering it has more stats than a 3 star and it also gives reasonable crit with the atk
Personally, I think Blade enjoys HP more than Atk% since he has like 25% atk and 75%hp scaling. Since he enjoy hp% more, atk become irrelevant when building him. "Under the Blue Sky" Gives 32% Atk in S5 and decent amount of Crit Rate buff, but only activated after killing an enemy, which means the atk% is not that useful and the crit rate buff is not guaranteed. Personally since he doesnt care about Atk% so much, I'd rather use Mutual Demise or Collapsing Sky until i get Secret Vow since you can get free crit rate, and/or get 40% Basic Atk bonus dmg (its huge). Still I'd take any opinions.
@@ResinlessPlayer i dont know what happened to the rest of my comment. My question is does the passive buff activate if you artificially augment your crit rate. Such as the longinous set or blades e2.
As far as I hear from people talking in hsr groups, whether you are in battle and achieved 50% through various effects (light cones, yukong buff etc. ) or have 50% as base crit rate, the buff will activate. Same for ruliant 70% crit.
I love how he said destruction character has slightly more taunt value but in reality tingyun (I call her attacked-yun) has one of the highest if not the only character that has infinite taunt
Lol what’s the story behind y’all calling him “Baldie?” 😅 & thanks for the guide, yours seems to easier to understand than the few others I’ve seen so far ♡ & Would Blade, Bailu, Bronya, Himeko/Sushang be a good team? (also in that lineup order) or should I build a different character for the last slot?
Another thing imo, bailu is more ideal if you have both natasha and her because she buffs max hp with one of her talents. Moreover, blade doesn’t require a whole lotta healing due to his tankiness, so bailu healing everyone else squishier on the team seems more ideal. Also, I like her burst with blade because it basically out heals most damage dealt to him while gaining stacks. Ofc bailu is a 5 star but better then natasha imo.
Hey xlice, I hope you can do a MoC guide on how to clear it with only one healer, i only have natasha as a healer and the struggle is real to keep my characters alive
I would recommend watching the 4* only memory of chaos runs, you can just put that in the search bar! They have all the teams and builds included usually, and you can try to simulate that. Most important things are minimum lvl 77 everyone, lvl80 LCs for dps, 8/8/8 traces, and a good goal is 70/140 crit ratio on dps.
I've had an absolute ass of a time with Luocha's banner and I didn't manage to get him, despite my best efforts. I really wanted him, because I still only have one healer... So, it was only natural that Blade came home on the very first freaking single warp. Out of irritation since I didn't really care for him, I used my starlight to buy passes and did some pulls on the lightcone banner. Got his light cone on the second 10-pull. So now I got a fully invested character I didn't really care about, though I do think he's slowly growing on me. F-me though I should've just used a bit of starlight to guarantee Luocha instead...
What was your pity on luocha banner?? Because by the sounds of it, you didn’t get a 5 star, meaning your pity on blades banner would’ve been essentially right on super high soft pity
@@strawberrymatcha6284 Nah I definitely got blade before soft pity, I think at around 50-55 or so. I did lose a 50/50 on Luocha beforehand so I already invested quite a few pulls into it. If I was near soft pity I'd have definitely used my starlight to guarantee Luo Cha but since I thought he'd be a ways off I didn't bother wasting it at the time. I had kinda resigned myself to not getting him at that point. Then when Blade came home the next pull I kinda had a bit of a rage moment and tossed all my starlight at the light cone banner instead. Not the smartest decision but it worked out since I got his light cone. Now he's probably my second best built character lol.
I'm using the same team: Blade, Luocha, Bronya, Pela. This team is skill point efficient, has two buff strips, two debuff cleanse, AOE def down, damage buffs and healing. Haha. It's so satisfying on auto.
i got confused on this one part of the video. how much base crit rate does blade have level 80 with max talents? these dont include lightcone or relics
Kinda sucks now knowing that his lightcone options are Very limited synergy-wise (since I don't have A Secret Vow), so I guess I'll have to look into the 3-star option
Is the Arlan lightcone still worth running if paired with Luocha? He's healing him so often that I'm wondering if one of the 3 star options might be better in that case?
Do you think its better to pull for his light cone or just save up for characters as an f2p? I have s2 arlan lc and use clara lc for him but I'm tempted to pull for his lc so that I can build him easier.
Kinda out of Blade focus, but do you think his LC worth to pull for Clara? I have all the 4* LC but all are S1, I use Arlan for her rn and she does, okay damage. I know Clara Signature LC is best for her, but i dont know when will I get it lol. So I am considering getting Blade LC for her if it actually works well with her? Thank you
I only started playing the game a week ago so I appreciate all your guides! I happened to win 50/50 for blade (I wasn't aiming for him, just wanted a good 5*) but I sadly don't have any of his supports since my beginner wish 5* was clara🥲 my pity is close on standard so I pray for bronya🙏 Also question for anyone who can answer: I haven't finished all of the main quest yet so I don't think I have access to that relic set. Would eagle of twilight line be viable until I can get to longevous?
The annoying thing about running Blade with an E2+ Luocha is that Luocha will drop a shield on him if you don't gimp Luocha's ATK or go overboard on Blade's HP. While Luocha is still the best healer to pair with him, that anti-synergy sucks.
Is Blade even worth it if I’m not getting his lightcone? It seems so meh to spend on 5 star character when the best lightcone I have for him is a 3 star
Personally, I think Speed is the one of the stats you dont want for Blade. I mean if you get some of it as substats then its great, but trading HP% for speed messes with your survivability. Blade is a Destruction character not a Hunt character. His follow up attacks are there for a reason = He gets hit more, he gains more stacks (more HP = more heal, more damage, more survivability)
If you have Bronya, you still want Blade to be ahead of her since Bronya's advance action is will go to waste since Blade is coming after her anyways. TLDR: Spd boots viable if you're unlucky on spd substats
*me, a F2P, working towards 70/140 crit w/o Blade's LC because I spent my 600 glitter for the Bronya LC went to the 30 pulls I need for Blade* So... Arena.

Been waiting for this
Yey! Even though I'm already in this video because I was practically watching the livestream when you filmed it. I still want to watch your guides and vids over and over because you are my all-time favorite streamer! I hope you recover quickly, Mr. xlice, and I commend you for continuing to upload content even while you're not feeling well. Giga respect!🤩
I like guides that come out a couple of weeks after the content drop instead of "guides" that come out one day after and you could tell they are just BSing.
In case y'all didn't know the new best healer for Blade if you don't have Luocha is Lynx.
Great guide!
Thanks, for a couple of days now I've been trying to force 70+% crit rate with the new sets and it's hurting my dps a lot. I completely forgot about Inert Salsotto only needing 50% to work
Yeah rutilant arena is more of a premium option for those with his sig (for free crit rate) or crazy good relic luck
i recommend that u should use w7 set when using bronya or speed boot to gains stack fast (e0) , if you have e1 above then go for the w6 set also cause it's very good when teaming with lynx ( healer with healing skill that provides taunt to destruction and persavation class ) and jing liu ( consuming teamates hp to deal mote dmg )
@@naw613 people that use Mutual Demise S5 can also get the 70% crit easily, so i wouldnt consider the new set a premium with him (100% premium with the rest of the characters)
@@Lapis_James oh fair enough 👍 didn’t think about that, just know most people suggest Arlan LC if you dont have his sig.
i spent way too many relic upgrade mats upgrading an atk% ribbon and atk% boots when I needed Hp%. worst thing is I had an hp% 5 star ribbon on set and an hp% 4 star boots on set but I foddered them but I did that before I properly read his abilities 😮💨
guess I'll have to do more relic farming and pray for some hp%
😩
Does the arena 2 piece set take into account longevous' crit rate increase or does he need base 70% crit rate to get the effect?
would like to know too
"His kit is better designed than Hu tao".
Honestly you're not wrong, when I first saw the leaks on Blade's kit I immediately lost my mind and started laughing how Genshin did it. THIS is how an HP% character is supposed to function. It's what Hu tao would had become in the game but seems like Genshin devs had different ideas. (Probably so that Hu tao wouldn't become the 1 man army-not-need-anyone else kind of character for money)
Although Blade's kit still has imperfections, it does make sense as to why he had to be nerfed or "humbled" in a sense for this game. After all, mihoyo needs to balance and make money. Anyways, thank you for another very helpful guide!
Pov Xlice:You did your weeklys before the last upgatde and you just did you weeklys this week soo now you can upload it
since i got his e2 (30 pulls, 3 blades... pretty broken.) I actually am unironically using max hp 2-piece relic set, literally just cuz i got an HP, CR, CD piece for both. im running when relic stacks are max, 82 CR and 150 CD with 9k max HP and 2k attack.
Need 135 for 4turn or 130
10:23 That's why I hate how people compare him to Hu Tao because that's literally what Hu Tao needs. It's kinda like a misinformation because Luocha didn't work that way. Thank you for addressing it
The only thing that is comparable for both of them is the HP double scaling.
Still I'd take any opinions.
bruh it's atk.
Yeah that's what I'm running on him rn
@@aoan6403 also 12% crit rate but let's just ignore that LMAO
@@risangayatul It gives 12% crit rate my guy.
If you have thr 65% before relics does it activate inert solsotto?
Inert requires 50% to activate buff, however, ruliant arena requires 70%
@@ResinlessPlayer i dont know what happened to the rest of my comment. My question is does the passive buff activate if you artificially augment your crit rate. Such as the longinous set or blades e2.
@@ResinlessPlayer ive put this in so many comments sections and threads and no one answers it 😭
As far as I hear from people talking in hsr groups, whether you are in battle and achieved 50% through various effects (light cones, yukong buff etc. ) or have 50% as base crit rate, the buff will activate. Same for ruliant 70% crit.
I just realized its written "CURRENT Crit Rate reaches 50%" so i guess it will work either way.
I love how he said destruction character has slightly more taunt value but in reality tingyun (I call her attacked-yun) has one of the highest if not the only character that has infinite taunt
Lost hope when i lost 50/50 to bailu but then after 4 pulls it came home got a healer and a dps W
So basically, he's immortal right? And he's still working together with the Stellaron Hunter right? So, can we called him "Unlimited Blade Works"?
Haha so funny like alter saber's(saber altoria) death 🥳🥳🥳
If I don't have longevous disciple can I use musketeer does it work with enhanced basic atk?
Great video! would you still recommend speed boots even if he's paired with E2 bronya?
Eveyone thinks he works like Hu Tao but Blade is a better Hu Tao x'D because he doesnt need to be at 1HP to have 2-5k extra damage
Lol what’s the story behind y’all calling him “Baldie?” 😅 & thanks for the guide, yours seems to easier to understand than the few others I’ve seen so far ♡
& Would Blade, Bailu, Bronya, Himeko/Sushang be a good team? (also in that lineup order) or should I build a different character for the last slot?
Another thing imo, bailu is more ideal if you have both natasha and her because she buffs max hp with one of her talents. Moreover, blade doesn’t require a whole lotta healing due to his tankiness, so bailu healing everyone else squishier on the team seems more ideal. Also, I like her burst with blade because it basically out heals most damage dealt to him while gaining stacks. Ofc bailu is a 5 star but better then natasha imo.
And the debuff removal off natasha and luocha, for blade is impotant to him to not get CCed
If your blade moves faster than your Bronya, can't you attack twice per turn? If that's the case won't speed be better than hp%?
Hey xlice, I hope you can do a MoC guide on how to clear it with only one healer, i only have natasha as a healer and the struggle is real to keep my characters alive
I would recommend watching the 4* only memory of chaos runs, you can just put that in the search bar! They have all the teams and builds included usually, and you can try to simulate that.
Most important things are minimum lvl 77 everyone, lvl80 LCs for dps, 8/8/8 traces, and a good goal is 70/140 crit ratio on dps.
U still have mc and natasha plus the option to play break teams
So is the silver wolf event light cone still attainable? I started a couple days ago..
no unfortunately the event was in 1.1 and ended before 1.2 :/
can i use march 7th with full damage set with no def with him so he gets attacked but the shield is so weak ?
good thing i have all the characters for blade . gonna build pela though. hahaha
It is New plannnar ornament rutilant arena is suitable for clara?
New to the game, I got blade today and I have the other 4 stars you suggested and the reviver 😂 I guess I got lucky
I m a beginner may i use blade,dan hang(the free one), asta(or the imaginary fox chick), lynx
Does the arena set bonus work when I gain the cr in the fight? I have 67% cr and longevous can give me more
what lc should i use on pela if i dont have the event one?
On auto mode, why is my bronya keeps using her skills on silver wolf instead of blade?
Kinda sucks now knowing that his lightcone options are Very limited synergy-wise (since I don't have A Secret Vow), so I guess I'll have to look into the 3-star option
Is the Arlan lightcone still worth running if paired with Luocha? He's healing him so often that I'm wondering if one of the 3 star options might be better in that case?
Nice Guide ! I Guess if you can reach 122 Speed with HP% Boots its even Stronger !
S1 Secret Vow good? Or should i use 3* instead
I currently hve him at e3 and his ult is hitting for 110k which is pretty good for aoe destruction. I love it
What you think is better pulling for, his E1 or his lightcone
@@what.are.you.on1 lightcone. E1 is really good tho
@@zhonglishusband6988 thanks
My blade is stuck at 75 cr and 160 cd. Rly wanna get him to 180% at least but the ropes and headpieces are not kind to me 😅
Do you think its better to pull for his light cone or just save up for characters as an f2p? I have s2 arlan lc and use clara lc for him but I'm tempted to pull for his lc so that I can build him easier.
Can I use Lynx in the healer slot ?
I would say it is more important to have the stats than complete the relic set if you are this early.
Me right now is smiling with e3 s1 Blade in happiness…
wouldn’t planetary rendezvous on bronya be stronger for blade over her signature?
Will Dan heng IL lightcone work on him?
Does the e2 crit rate buff activate arena set effect in fight? or i should aim for 70% crit rate without e2 buff to activate it?
I was using the Mutual Demise and was decent, but since I lucked out on his light cone, I really noticed the HP that I was missing. Lol.
I've never really recognized that I am being called a youtube frog, but honestly I am happy to be hopping around
Does the disciple 16% crit rate activate the arena buff?
Does the 16% from the longevous set count towards arena?
The annoying thing about running Blade with an E2+ Luocha is that Luocha will drop a shield on him if you don't gimp Luocha's ATK or go overboard on Blade's HP. While Luocha is still the best healer to pair with him, that anti-synergy sucks.
My blade slaps! Hitting like 80k follow up attacks ;) with a 4 star light cone so he’s my main
cant wait for kafka guide when she appears
Is Kafka a good pair with him? If there isn’t a certain answer, I’ll wait for her release and watch your guide video of her when it comes out.
Nope, she is completely different kit, she likes character who easily put dots on enemies.
Hmm. Wouldn't blade pair up with Arlan?
guys plis help me, can we use superimpose(Herta store) on limited 5 star light cones?? thnx...
No.
Only usable on the herta store 5* light cones
Is Blade even worth it if I’m not getting his lightcone? It seems so meh to spend on 5 star character when the best lightcone I have for him is a 3 star
can you show your pela build please
Okayge 👍
Personally, I think Speed is the one of the stats you dont want for Blade. I mean if you get some of it as substats then its great, but trading HP% for speed messes with your survivability. Blade is a Destruction character not a Hunt character. His follow up attacks are there for a reason = He gets hit more, he gains more stacks (more HP = more heal, more damage, more survivability)
If you have Bronya, you still want Blade to be ahead of her since Bronya's advance action is will go to waste since Blade is coming after her anyways.
TLDR: Spd boots viable if you're unlucky on spd substats
basically blade made luocha use his passive almost everytime tho so he wont on low health n can continuosly lose health
111 wishes n still no blade for me…got Himeko instead 🤧
Fire mc is decent with him as well because her shield is not that big it breaks when attacked and will count the hit into his passive
*me, a F2P, working towards 70/140 crit w/o Blade's LC because I spent my 600 glitter for the Bronya LC went to the 30 pulls I need for Blade*
So... Arena.
cool video, i think the way you talk is a little terminally online though, but
