I write the expiration date on little stickers and put them on almost everything in my kitchen. It’s very helpful because I can easily see if something needs to be used up.

Oh I just did my pantry (for the 1Millionth time) in my own decluttering series on my channel. I love seeing how different all the spaces we have to tackle - but ultimately we face the same challenges. I love that list idea!!! You're so clever. Well done! Time well spent I would say. x Mel

Looks nice , neat & functional! I have a good recipe for that yellow cake mix!! Yellow Cake mix, 1 egg, 30 oz can of peaches. Put mix in bowl, chop peaches into small pieces ( 1 " or so), pour in peach liquid. Stir well with wooden spoon. Dump into greased cake pan ( I use my very large cast iron skillet). Bake on 350 for about 40 minutes. Check when you think it's done. I usually sprinkle with a little powdered sugar. Looks pretty !! YUM!!! It is about my favorite cake!!!

I hope you’re enjoying all your nice clean and organized areas. I imagine I would would walk by , look at each area and smile all day if I had 11 different areas I had worked on. But I am decluttering my living room and my family is really liking having a nicer area. This is only the second room and it will take me a long time to funish the whole house, but I have a glimmer of hope now that it will eventually get done

Ooo just thought...when you’re doing the next round of jar declutters throw in some self care post it’s too. E.g. do your nails, take a bubble bath, read a chapter, etc. Pot luck whether you’re working or relaxing! 😄👍🏼

I am finding the jar for procrastination decluttering is really helping. I have done my fridge, large counter area, all upper kitchen cabinets, hanging clothes in bedroom cupboard, catch all cupboard doing one suggestion from jar each week. Biggest difference is maintaining the areas done by doing a quick once over in each area. Only takes about 15 minutes to do a quick re shuffle. Love the jar system. Thanks, Sophia.

Sophia be very careful when it comes to cake mixes and similar flour mixes. Apparently when past expiration they can develop spores that we cannot see but can be extremely hazardous to our health. As soon as I had learned this I went through my pantry. I always check the dates before I use any mix and sometimes I have had them for years past expiry too.🥴

Well done👍🏻 I have no boxes on my pantry only Mason jars and
Loc and Loc plastic containers. I have slowly grown my “ collection” of Mason Jars in different sizes and I also use wide mouth jars as well as the regular jars, if you have the great machine , The Food Saver I use it almost daily. In the wide mouth jar I store my salad greens upright in the crisper and it keeps fresh longer than if kept in the package it came in. Go on Pinterest
and ask to see dry food storage in the Mason Jars as no you should get some great ideas😁 also on the inside of the pantry door next to your notes add a list of the food you should use next because it’s expiration date is nearing. I’ve just started using this method and it really does help as well as a list of

It’s funny but about a month ago I had the same problem with a pantry half your pantry’s size. I took out everything and put my small appliances, pots, pressure cooker, crock pot and platters and Corning ware in the pantry. My empty cabinets I put my containers like rice, sugar, flour, oils and such in the cabinets underneath. I only left glasses and duly plates there.

Would it help to have a tray ...something underneath so you can pull it out to get to the items in the back? Also, I would put a sticker on the containers that you can write the expiration date. These are a few things I've learned over the years.

Really enjoying your videos. I cleaned out my pantry last week too and it was definitely easier than last time, because things had homes and there wasn't as much expired stuff. Likewise I cleaned my windows today, both outside and inside: last time I did this they'd been neglected for so long it took ages but was much quicker to do today.

This may be a crazy idea but I think your pantry shelves are too deep, I’m sure you said that in the past. Maybe one day take out the pantry cabinets and replace with open shelving that are no so deep. Perhaps do a built in closet, of course I’m dreaming for you! 😬😬 I want to redo the shelving in my pantry, I hate it. Ok I don’t hate it, thankful to have a good pantry but not as deep as yours but too deep still. Definitely not on my priority list, I’m dreaming. 🥴
