I write the expiration date on little stickers and put them on almost everything in my kitchen. It’s very helpful because I can easily see if something needs to be used up.
Oh I just did my pantry (for the 1Millionth time) in my own decluttering series on my channel. I love seeing how different all the spaces we have to tackle - but ultimately we face the same challenges. I love that list idea!!! You're so clever. Well done! Time well spent I would say. x Mel
Looks nice , neat & functional! I have a good recipe for that yellow cake mix!! Yellow Cake mix, 1 egg, 30 oz can of peaches. Put mix in bowl, chop peaches into small pieces ( 1 " or so), pour in peach liquid. Stir well with wooden spoon. Dump into greased cake pan ( I use my very large cast iron skillet). Bake on 350 for about 40 minutes. Check when you think it's done. I usually sprinkle with a little powdered sugar. Looks pretty !! YUM!!! It is about my favorite cake!!!
I hope you’re enjoying all your nice clean and organized areas. I imagine I would would walk by , look at each area and smile all day if I had 11 different areas I had worked on. But I am decluttering my living room and my family is really liking having a nicer area. This is only the second room and it will take me a long time to funish the whole house, but I have a glimmer of hope now that it will eventually get done
Everyday I check to see if you put up a episode to watch, and I just saw this one come up. Stopped what I was watching, and clicked on to you. Love your videos. 😉😌
Ooo just thought...when you’re doing the next round of jar declutters throw in some self care post it’s too. E.g. do your nails, take a bubble bath, read a chapter, etc. Pot luck whether you’re working or relaxing! 😄👍🏼
I have to thank you again as this series has been the most motivational video I have watched in a long time and I’m actually achieving things in my home and I’m so happy.😊❤️🙏 P. S. Scott is so cute! Hi Scott I see you.
I am finding the jar for procrastination decluttering is really helping. I have done my fridge, large counter area, all upper kitchen cabinets, hanging clothes in bedroom cupboard, catch all cupboard doing one suggestion from jar each week. Biggest difference is maintaining the areas done by doing a quick once over in each area. Only takes about 15 minutes to do a quick re shuffle. Love the jar system. Thanks, Sophia.
Don't put the expired goods back in the pantry. Keep them out to remember to use them asap. Otherwise you'll forget about them again. Btw you're doing so well in these series. Keep up the good work!
Sophia be very careful when it comes to cake mixes and similar flour mixes. Apparently when past expiration they can develop spores that we cannot see but can be extremely hazardous to our health. As soon as I had learned this I went through my pantry. I always check the dates before I use any mix and sometimes I have had them for years past expiry too.🥴
I love how you designated the top shelves for seldom used dishes👍 Your pantry looks great! (Does Lechief still get in the pantry?) Listened to the Podcast....it was great! We watch you because we love you & your family. It's like hanging out with you at your house. We love your company. You are NEVER boring, you are a very interesting person. Enjoed this one alot! TFS.😊 😉 👍 💖
Glad your kitchen nook system is still working! Love the new apples/oranges holder - cute! Can't believe the toaster oven pooped out already! Good idea on using the top pantry shelves for storage! Great job on the pantry, looks nice and new! Cracks me up every time there's an empty cookie container 😂 Boys will be boys.. Looove watching the decluttering and reorganizing - Thanks for sharing once again!! :)
I so appreciate your struggle with your pantry. I do to.Im to short and have to climb. They go to far back for this shortie.lol! I think you did a great job with it. Love this series.
Ugh! I need to do this... I don’t have all the things you have, but I match up as closely as possible. So I guess I’ll be doing the pantry next! (Groceries/baking cupboards) also... it took me all day (several hours) throughout the day but I listened to your interview (podcast). It was wonderful Sophia! I learned so much about you. It also makes me want to get back to watching past videos. Speaking of... I don’t remember the appendicitis! 🤷🏼♀️ I missed some episodes while I was in college The last year. I love finding motivation from you. Keep going!
Very good organization and decluttering and I have the same idea for ĺong time to write what I have in each shelf of my pantry to make it easy for me and my family to grape what we need without making a mess but I didn't do it till now but you push me to do it soon thank you very much lovely And I want to tell you don't overwhelme yourself when you have migraine or tiered just take a rest until you gain your health and start again , wish you happy day 🌹🌹🌹👍👍👍💞💞💞
Tomorrow I'm tackling my hallway closet.....I try to keep on top of that one .....there are seasonal....suitcases. ....tv box....oh just things to throw out...and re organize....love watching your inspirational videos Sophia.....have a wonderful weekend ahead...hugs..
Did mine after the holidays and I am ashamed at what I ended up throwing out. Also did the refrigerator, same thing. My goal is to do better at shopping and going through what I already have!
You did awesome Sophia! I actually decluttered my curio and now have space to store that pretty Art Deco vase I got from your Etsy shop! Happy happy happy!😁🥳
Well done👍🏻 I have no boxes on my pantry only Mason jars and Loc and Loc plastic containers. I have slowly grown my “ collection” of Mason Jars in different sizes and I also use wide mouth jars as well as the regular jars, if you have the great machine , The Food Saver I use it almost daily. In the wide mouth jar I store my salad greens upright in the crisper and it keeps fresh longer than if kept in the package it came in. Go on Pinterest and ask to see dry food storage in the Mason Jars as no you should get some great ideas😁 also on the inside of the pantry door next to your notes add a list of the food you should use next because it’s expiration date is nearing. I’ve just started using this method and it really does help as well as a list of
Excellent job, Sophia! You have a natural talent for organizing. It reminds me; I have to do the same to MY pantry! I'm listening to the podcast now. :) EDIT: I just finished listening to the podcast and thought it was wonderful! I hope you do another with Stephanie sometime.
Great job ! I drew out the pantry one 2 days ago and what a great feeling it was to have everything in order ( AGAIN ) :D and yes I found a few empty boxes in mine too........hmmmmmmmmmmm wonder who would of left those I asked a couple of certain people living in my house :D
Job WELL done, Sophia! And, Scott, everyone except Sophia [she's so focused on the pantry items on the counter] we all see you trying to be invisible behind your jacket lapels there, sliding out of video frame LOL.
Sophia It’s funny but about a month ago I had the same problem with a pantry half your pantry’s size. I took out everything and put my small appliances, pots, pressure cooker, crock pot and platters and Corning ware in the pantry. My empty cabinets I put my containers like rice, sugar, flour, oils and such in the cabinets underneath. I only left glasses and duly plates there.
Would it help to have a tray ...something underneath so you can pull it out to get to the items in the back? Also, I would put a sticker on the containers that you can write the expiration date. These are a few things I've learned over the years.
Really enjoying your videos. I cleaned out my pantry last week too and it was definitely easier than last time, because things had homes and there wasn't as much expired stuff. Likewise I cleaned my windows today, both outside and inside: last time I did this they'd been neglected for so long it took ages but was much quicker to do today.
This may be a crazy idea but I think your pantry shelves are too deep, I’m sure you said that in the past. Maybe one day take out the pantry cabinets and replace with open shelving that are no so deep. Perhaps do a built in closet, of course I’m dreaming for you! 😬😬 I want to redo the shelving in my pantry, I hate it. Ok I don’t hate it, thankful to have a good pantry but not as deep as yours but too deep still. Definitely not on my priority list, I’m dreaming. 🥴
Lovely Sophia 💜, Great 👍🏻 job 👏. Scott is so funny 😂. Thank you for sharing. We love y’all 💜❤️💕🐶🐶 🐱.
You new theme music makes it feel like we are in a '70's game show. I guess this is a new cleaning game! 😄
It sounds like the old Dating game 😂
@@shellyleach3377 yes it does!
Scott cracks me up 😊 loving this D.O.C series. You also seem less stressed which is so nice to see 💜

Woo hoo, so satisfying that you have replaced the pantry labels! Thank you🌺

Scott haha we see you!
Great job, Sophia! Please move the ammonia out of the food cabinet and into cleaning supplies.
You just inspired me to go through my pantry. Thanks Sophia!
I'm thinking of using your notes in a jar for quilting projects. Sometimes I don't know what quilt I want to start.
That looks so nice! It will make life easier in the kitchen😃
This pantry makeover was so satisfying! And I just came back from the podcast, don't know how but I love you even more!!
I have to thank you again as this series has been the most motivational video I have watched in a long time and I’m actually achieving things in my home and I’m so happy.😊❤️🙏
P. S. Scott is so cute! Hi Scott I see you.
The way you rearranged makes so much sense. Great work!

Dear Sofia, love the D.O.C method currently applying to my house before we move home and your videos have been very motivating love from the UK
Had to pause and comment! Scott!!!!! Upon entering the kitchen his face was like “oh what now?!”.
Don't put the expired goods back in the pantry. Keep them out to remember to use them asap. Otherwise you'll forget about them again. Btw you're doing so well in these series. Keep up the good work!

Hi Sophia, loving this series!
I tried to declutter my pantry this weekend and it was a colossal fail. I need to rethink it.
great job!👍😘🌹
"Oh wow" I love Your pantry organization!
Glad to see you back I hope your feeling much better and just so you know I really enjoy your videos keep up the great work ♥️👍

In reality all of our pantries need cleaned out at least a twice year if not more. I mean we use it every day, several times a day. It’s life! 👍🌸💜
I so appreciate your struggle with your pantry. I do to.Im to short and have to climb. They go to far back for this shortie.lol! I think you did a great job with it. Love this series.
I see you Scott 😆
Ruth Taylor-Hamlin. Scott’s going for a cup of coffee, I bet, the way he is heading!
Great job Sophia! You are great
We love our toaster oven too. I have a big one that you can fit a 9x13 pan in.
Go Sophia! You did a great job !

Sophia well done looks great 🌹🌹
Sofia, invest in some cereal containers. I finally purchased a bunch from Ikea and it was the best decision I ever made. They save soooo much space 😁
Did mine after the holidays and I am ashamed at what I ended up throwing out. Also did the refrigerator, same thing. My goal is to do better at shopping and going through what I already have!
Job well done! What’s gets you motivated and how do you get the energy?

Mona Morgan I love the idea of keeping a note of foods getting close to expiration. It’s genius!😊❤️
Your pantry looks great! It looks like you set up a good system that will work for the family. Another great video.

Great job on cleaning/decluttering/organizing your pantry. Our pantry is about the same size but not labeled. I’m impressed!
Packed items for the food-bank are in the car for drop off. You are doing great! I am cooking out the pantry and freezer now.
Nicely done Sophia😊 It looks fantastic!!
This is a perfect system for disorganized me. Ty for sharing your ideas & your progress.
Pantry looks great.
Definately worth the effort.
Tfs & take care 🌺🇦🇺

Good to see you Sofia and great job with the pantry xx
Count Scottula 😂
Great job. Exactly what was on my list to do today also. We grocery shop on Saturday
Wonderful!
Great job you did it again. You are so motivating for me. Thank you.
Your pantry looks fantastic 👏👏👏
great job Sophia!
Looks good
It looks really good!
would you consider doing a week challenge of eating from the pantry : I mean using up things from the pantry with added meat and veges
Love those Carmel coconut cookies! We like to eat ours out of the freezer, so good 😊
I think you did a great job on your pantry!
That looks really good. The deep shelves are hard to manage.
Job WELL done, Sophia! And, Scott, everyone except Sophia [she's so focused on the pantry items on the counter] we all see you trying to be invisible behind your jacket lapels there, sliding out of video frame LOL.

Like your system do you have a video where you started the job jars thanks ... The Wife...🌹🌹🌹
Might should note if it's self rising or all purpose flour. Also, yeast expires..check those dates!
A powder room would be perfect where the pantry is now. Great idea!
You have like everything! how come you don’t have a label remover :)???
Hi Scott,
Just wondering why you don’t have any peanut butter.
The pantry is no longer a clutter problem and I am able to reach all my products quickly
Your music sounds like laugh-in music....its groovy...lol
💜
💜💜💜
Hi Scott we kinda really do like you any way lol.
This may be a crazy idea but I think your pantry shelves are too deep, I’m sure you said that in the past. I just put stuff on the shelves half way back. ..especially on the higher shelves
There was a container of salt in my kitchen that expired in 2009!
Salt will not go bad! Himalaya salt is thousands of years old and still good - important is to keep it dry. =)
Just a tip: Its really not ideal to pot up from such a small pot, to such a huge pot!
I don't understand what you mean. Sorry
My Great Challenge Hi Sophia, its better to replant your plant (pot up), from a small pot, to a slightly larger pot, instead of a much larger pot.
Well. Thay s the only pot I have on hand. But I appreciate the advice. Thank you.
It depends on the type of plant your repotting!😉
