- Why would this pristine Hollywood veteran station wagon have a holster under the seat? MoPar expert John Lazenby shares a great story about a great car with Lance Lambert, host of television's "Vintage Vehicle Show". More information about the show can be found at www.vintagevehicletv.com.

Loved these and the DeSoto wagons as well. Sky King drove one in the 1955-56 season but it was white.
So glad this owner drives the car now and then.
Hemingway in Cuba had a 1955 Chrysler New Yorker convertible. It has been found.
Wow, what a beauty! I've stuffed a few grocery bags into these old cars while working for the old A&P grocery!
If you want to see a full grown man cry, just look at my face while I drool over this wagon. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful! I don't believe there are but a handful of these still in existence in the world today.
Spectacular
gorgeous
Beautiful car, the peak of the early to mid fifties.
Beautiful Wagon
My Dad had a car just like this, but without the accoutrements (wire wheels, spotlights, holster), and painted white top, grey body. Wonderful ride!
Love it. (And as I recall, Sky King had a Chrysler wagon on his ranch. LOL)
Excellent segment, beautiful car
Drop Dead GORGEOUS!!
I love this baby first time I ever saw one wow. Rare car
1955 Chrysler: the most beautiful Chrysler ever
Exner!
That is one beautiful car! Thanks for the video.
I'd prefer this over the Surburban 2wd what an art piece by Chrysler.
This car is also one of the widest passenger cars ever made, not as wide as the Imperial which was 83 inches wide.
What a wonderful car that is a perfect window on car design in 1955. The best colour possible and stunning condition. I would love to have one like it but I doubt there is one even close to the condition of yours! It would make an impression over here in England! Look after it for me, if I win the Lottery I might 'phone you up!!
Thank you for sharing it with us!
Am I the only one who would like to see some wood grain on the sides and surf boards strapped to the top. Love this car, absolutely beautiful.
Fabulous! Really uptown.
awesome car !
Wondering if this car was used in the recent 'The Fabelmans' movie.
Sky King shows this car in the 2nd season.
I have a 54 New Yorker wagon. Nowwhere near as beautiful as the 55, but it does a 4 barrel dual exhaust Hemi and a PowerFlite trans, as well as almost full power. Manual antenna and manual tailgate window though.
The split second row seats indicate a pass thru to the forward facing third row seat. The "mattresses" he talked about in the back must be the cushions for the third row. This would be the same set up I have in my '59 Ford.
The only 3rd seat available was a dealer supplied small backward-facing seat for kids.
Looks like "The Chrysler" on Sky King.
