A priceless beauty!!
Couldn’t agree more! Thanks for watching!
I remember that crank down window and the tailgate that my folks cooked on with a Coleman white gas portable camping stove. What memories
Thanks for sharing
what an absolutely beautiful car
100% Agree. Thanks for watching
'55 & '56 Chryslers nailed an elegant timeless quintessential american design. Classy without being over the top. Cheers to the design team wayback!. 🎉
Agreed
Yes! She is a beauty for sure, thank you for the share.
Isn’t she! Thanks for watching!
Desert Sand with Heather Rose accent!
What a beautiful color combination.
Even more beautiful in person. Thanks for watching
Exquisite! What a joy to have this sweet babe as a daily driver ❤! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
We think so too! Thanks for watching!
Outstanding with those wire wheels, they really set the car off.
What a beautiful, incredible car.
We agree!
Oh. I wish I could have this car so much! ♥️
It is a beautiful car! Thanks for watching!
What a rare beauty. Had 5 55 Chryslers and imperial and one 300, but never found a wagon. Has hemi too. They were a lot faster than most people realized. My stock 55 new Yorker in 1962 went ten consecutive miles at 28 seconds a mile. That's almost 130mph. Won 10 bucks from my buddy who was a Ford guy and bet me it wouldn't go 120.
Awesome story. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching
Wow! I owned a 55 De Soto and a 56 New Yorker way back when. Boy does this bring back memories. Needless to-say, they were not in this kind of condition.
This one is a true gem. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching
@@TwoGuysandaRide Yes, stunning.
What a great piece !
Indeed. We we’re drooling
STUNNING!
Yes it is! Thanks for watching!
Opening that door it sounded exactly like my 55 Dodge Custom Royal.
That a really beautiful wagon!
A testament to how beautiful Mopar’s of the 50’s were.
Agreed! Thanks for watching
So pretty!
We couldn’t agree more! Thanks for watching!
If I had known that there were all these beautiful cars around, I would have asked to be born sooner! I want this car! I'm coming for it tonight!
Thanks for watching!
What a beauty!
It certainly is! Thanks for watching!
Now that's my kind of SUV !!!
Awesome isn’t it! Thanks for watching!
Two Guys and a Ride : I'm three years older than your beautiful car. I love station wagons. There were six in my family, four kids and our parents. I grew up in a station wagon. I just love this car. It just about takes my breath away. But I want to suggest you upgrade your brake master cylinder for a dual reservoir, brake master cylinder. That way, if you lose brake fluid in one part of the master cylinder, you'll still have some brake fluid to slow down and stop your beautiful car.
Cool story, thanks for sharing. This is a beautiful Wagon. It stopped us dead in our tracks and we knew we had to film it. We'll pass your suggestion along to the owner. Thanks for watching
beyond fantastic.
Even better in person. Thanks for watching
Beautiful car!
Thank you for sharing.
Indeed. Thanks for watching
Just found this channel and appreciate it, I'm subbed up!!
Welcome to our channel, we’re not only thrilled that you appreciate our channel but that you subscribed as well! Thanks for watching and subscribing!
My 55 Plymouth had the parking brake on the transmission as well & it was a manual.
Chrysler was always a step ahead in engineering back in those days. Thanks for watching
OMG!... Dad bought a '55 Chrysler Windsor 4-door sedan that year... What a tank!... What a solid car!... Unbelievable... They don't make 'em like that any more....
This one was impressive and stout as a tank. Thanks for watching
I miss the bench seats so much
Thanks for watching!
What car. I see this wagon, warm night, 1956, main portico to the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club, summer dinner/dance. Yep.
Thanks for watching!
I'm certain EC Quinn drove his to that club in '56
Awesome ❤it
Us too! Thanks for watching!
Chrome wire wheels must have been an option and an expensive one at that, Maybe Kelsey Hayes?
You are correct. Kelsey Hayes
Awesome. Damn ...
Agreed!
Great car for us wagon lovers! A little more focus on steering wheel and dash instrumentation would be fun. Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback
I first saw the 1955 Chrysler in the 1954 Tintin book The Calculus Affair
Its and awesome car. Thanks for watching
He drives it! Not a trailer queen!
Exactly....the way it should be!
Sky King drove a 1955 Chrysler New Yorker wagon, anyone remember the tv show?
That s cool!
"Out of the blue of the western sky comes Sky King!"
@@billolsen4360brought to you by Nabisco.... Your darn tooten we like Fig Newtons
Not exactly an original car, it has had a lot of work done, but it is nevertheless an unrestored car. It is also fabulous.
It’s fabulous indeed. Thanks for watching
Man. This can't even compare to today's silver and gray compliant government mobiles. The most stunning to today's epitome in boring and mundane.
Agreed! They certainly don’t build them like they used to. Thanks for watching
@@TwoGuysandaRide lol, nor would the manufacturers be allowed to
@@styldsteel1 truth!
You can't mean all those SUVs running around in white, grey, black and off-white that all look the same? Can't tell a Lexus from a Subaru from a BMW?
I've always wondered is that hood ornament on Chrysler from this time the Imperial Eagle? Or is it different?
It's an eagle with Jet Airplane wings. Not sure if it's the Imperial Eagle as 'Ive not seen a similar one on another '55s. The Eagle Hood Ornament that I've seen on Imperials was upright and had its wings upright and flat to the front. Thanks for watching
A shame you didn't show us how the tailgate functions.
Ok
Wondering if this car was used in the recent Spielberg film 'The Fabelmans'.
Not that we know of. Thanks for watching!
I've seen one other '55 wagon on YT. It could be that one. How many of these could still be around? My dad had a new sky blue '55 Windsor 4dr and my grandfather had a 2dr '55 New Yorker hand-me-down. Had my share of times in both - gargantuan tanks of the road. @@TwoGuysandaRide
@@dmiller1000 can’t be many left out there. Thanks for sharing
Who could rightfully argue with a family car this good? Not this American. Take good care of this Dreamboat Annie. Ann Wilson would likely agree with that description.
Thanks for watching
With only 13,000 miles on the odometer, was it necessary to rebuild so many parts?
Anything that’s almost 70 years old is going to require quite a bit of tinkering, to get it back to show room condition, plus sometimes it’s the love of the journey that’s just as important as the finished project. Thanks for watching!
@@TwoGuysandaRide That's right, things in the suspension and the engine box just tend to sag after 70 years
how much ?
We don’t sell cars, we film them
Is Waygan the name of the car, or does the guy just mispronounce wagon?
It’s a Minnesota accent. Thanks for watching
Minnesota or Wisconsin dialect.
@@RedClover1987 Minnesota. Thanks for watching
Sounds normal to me...
Way gun is correct. But Im from Minn e sota and I live in Washing ton
