The harsh reality is that if your job requires an interaction with the public, a typical employer may prefer someone without tattoos than someone with many visible tattoos.
But don’t despair, there are many jobs where it doesn’t really matter if you have your body full of tattoos or not.
For example, many work-from-home jobs such as call centers, data entry, video or photo editing, coding, programming, video game tester, etc.
Additionally, there are also costumer facing jobs where having many visible tattoos is right on brand, such as tattoo parlors, being a heavy metal musician, a craft person such as woodworking, metalworking, truck driving, electrician, plumber, etc.
In short, I think it’s a good idea to think about your career choice before getting a tattoo. If you are thinking of working at a bank or a law office a tattoo splashed all over your face is out of the question, but if you are thinking of becoming a heavy metal musician, or a tattoo artist, having many tattoos is right on brand.

If you carry your personality on your skin in public, people are going to judge you based on what they see, period.

I’m sure before you got the tattoos on your face you thought long and hard about the job situation and how a potential employer may see you based on that. Seeing in fact you did get the tattoos, means there were potential job options and opportunities. My advice would be to stick to those options. The work from home option mentioned in the video would be a great possibility.

It really depends on the industry. I work in tech and many people are blasted with arm and hand tattoos and piercings, myself included.

She should have applied for a job at Hot Topic or Spencer’s.

It's perfectly OK to cover your face and body in tattoos, but I don't think it makes sense to then take offense just because an establishment feels it's "off brand" to hire you. She's being a baiter and a bit of a bully, imo.

It's not a new thing that people with tattoos all over their face are looked at with some skepticism by a majority of people. She knew this before getting them.

You have to know that you are relegating yourself to a segment of society and the workforce. If you are cool with that - tat up but don't bitch about the locked doors.

I feel ya. I'm getting discriminated against just cuz I hate wearing a shirt
I'm in shape so why should I wear a shirt? I have a master's in accounting and still. The discrimination is so obvious.
