Hey gents here’s my challenge for you guys. Stop drinking for 6 weeks and in that time do my 6-week Marathon Challenge - it will change your life👇🏼 (and it’s free) bedroskeuilian.com/challenge
Thanks for sharing this! Here I am one month to 1y since I stopped drinking💪 and I’m so proud of myself since I took this decision! I also start doing workout consistent few times a week, every week together with no alcohol at all and now to see this post made me feel so good! Thank you
I have done more than a few 30 day and 90 day alcohol free challenges... But I didn't up the rest of my "game" this is day 3 AF and I joined the Marathon challenge and am starting today!
I will have my 1st year of living FREE from alcohol on 12/20/23! Best decision ever!!! I’m truly grateful! I feel like I have a brand new life! To God be the Glory! 🎉
I thought I had to drink to lessen my anxiety. Only once I quit almost a year ago did I realize the alcohol withdrawals were CAUSING the anxiety!! God delivered me from my addiction!!
My 5 year old daughter told me I was mean when I drank. So I gave it up on April 16th 2020. Wonderful decision and helped my family but most of all brought clarity to my life.
alcohol bring the worst from people.. my father used to drink too and he became so aggressive and picking up fight with people. Said some really cruel things to his kids like when had bad depression and tried to talk to him about it then he just say then go kill yourself. Alcohol destroyed him but also destroyed 2 families through his lifetime. I`m glad you stopped and it improved your life
When my daughter was a baby she would cry when I picked her up after I had just smoked - guess she didn’t like the smell. I stopped smoking. It’s been 13 years. About 2 years ago she said get up off that couch and do something instead of drinking. I stopped then. Never took another drink since. Will never go back.
133 days for me. Been binge heavy drinking my whole life. Feels good so far. Challenge for me is figuring out who I am without it. It was such a big part of my identity
@@toby7785 my buddies that have quit said it took 12-18 months or so to start to feel comfortable in there own skin. Seems crazy but makes sense I guess.
Just hit my 1000 days SOBER from alcohol big B!!! Def proud of myself and feel like more of a man now that I no longer partake in the substance. Life has also greatly improved without the use of the substance! I'm also giving back and helping other men quit. Doing my job to pay it forward. A servant and a savage as you say. Thanks for spreading the message 💪💪
Alcohol is very much glorified in my Latin culture. It’s almost like a write of passage for young men to drink. I fell into the trap and it completely destroyed my life. Leaving alcohol was the best decision I ever made. Fitness has become my outlet and my life has improved 10x. Thanks for the video Bedros 🙏🏻 👊🏻.
Dude I resonate with this 100% Coming from a Hispanic household all I’ve grown up around is drinking and getting shit faced. Even with my friends. It’s like once you say you’re not drinking anymore you’re looked down as an outcast. Fuck it though! We’re part of 1%
Been sober since 7/7/2021 and it has become the secret sauce to my jiujitsu learning. I have exponentially grown my technique and the guys at my gym always ask how I improved so fast and it was just stopping alcohol use. The most underrated life hack no one is talking about.
11:25 💯 this November 30th my husband and I celebrate 13 years without a drop of alcohol. Our relationship flourished though our recovery. God Blessed us that 1st year with a pregnancy. Today we have a 11 and 9 year old daughter and a 7 year old son who never saw a beer in our hand. That keeps me clean and serene full force!!!!
It was my alcohol free birthday two days ago. 7 years ago I hit rock bottom and quit with the help of other alcoholics at AA. I was hopelessly addicted but AA and the grace of God saved me. I have cried over my children, nephews and nieces with the same addiction but all are in recovery and doing well, that's the best CHRISTMAS PRESENT I could ask for. 😊
I’m a late learner. 50 years of “moderate “ drinking! 73 and I work out hard! Heavy weights. School free for 66 days and what a difference! Sleep, energy, blood pressure and strength has improved! Thanks for your channel!
I stopped drinking this November 5. I’m 42 and noticed memory and cognitive changes in a bad way. I couldn’t lose any weight. I’m scared of wet brain because both of my parents were alcoholics and they had it. It’s hard during events to stay away but I’m pushing. This video is helping me keep the mindset. Thank you
Annie Grace’s book “This Naked Mind” helped me realize how much I was punishing myself needlessly. There are so many reasons to quit drinking. Some of the most obvious is that you save money, and that you never have to be worried about having a hangover again, nor will you ever get a DWI. Definitely a silver lining!
Bedros thank you. 17 years ago, I was crushed between the back of my Jeep and the vehicle of a drunk driver while unloading some equipment. It still effects my quality of life today but I continue to push myself everyday to improve & be there for my 3 sons and wife. Your decisions don’t just effect you but sometimes the community around you.
Bedros, this video changed my life. After watching it, I finally chose to stop drinking 4 months ago and every part of my life has been transformed: my relationships, my mental and physical health, my finances, and I’ve never felt more content or satisfied in my life. Every day feels like I’m in a dream: living my best life and I am so thankful for you and the truth you are sharing to help make our lives and world better. You are amazing my friend and I’m eternally grateful!
Anything that messes with your sleep messes up gains in the gym...but that's not why I quit drinking. I got sick of waking up feeling like I said stupid shit.
Great vid. Another amazing benefit of sobriety is what I call CONFIDENCE IN INTERACTIONS. I'd show up to work either hungover or having crushed a beer in the morning, (Risking a DUI) having masked my breath with a heavy dose of Listerine and thorough tooth brushing, only to be in HIDE IT mode at work, cutting short routine interactions for fear of being found out, for being hungover at the least. Once SOBER for a month or two if I could hold out that long, I found my confidence and clarity in office interactions was off the charts. No need to hide, clear-headed and mentally sharp. Charming, respectful and PRESENT in my collegiality with workmates. What a HIGH that was. I still struggle with this liquid satan, but the light of sobriety is equally alluring. Thanks for this Mr. K !!!!!
That’s me. I get massive anxiety when hungover the next morning and then my body craves alcohol again in the afternoon early evening. I think it’s all about controlling anxiety for me but it’s a vicious cycle. It’s literally killing me
@@jake373I was where u are less than 2 weeks ago. I’d been on a 3-month, daily drinking binge from 8am until I couldn’t stay awake anymore. For weeks I tried but filed to stop the cruel cycle of nursing anxiety. But break it I did. The first day or two are absolute hell, but it DOES get easier as soon as u start sleeping better. I took magnesium powder with warm water before bedtime. It seemed to help for me. Good luck my friend. You can do this!
I’ve been trying to quit drinking for about 5 years now. The most I’ve gone without drinking has been a month. I just recently tried quitting and had a 3 day streak but failed again last night but after watching this video I think I got a whole other perspective that just might keep me off that bottle. Thank you, Bedros for sharing this! I choose to quit drinking for good today 👊🏽 You’ll be hearing from me with testimony, best believe that!
You will be successful! The most important thing is you haven’t give up. For me what really helped was finding my “why” and then using practical tactics like not having it in my house, drinking club soda instead, which surprisingly satisfied my cravings for beer, not going out with friends who drink so I wouldn’t be tempted, working through what was driving me to drink, and most importantly working out like a beast. I look forward to hearing your testimony!
You've been a huge inspiration to me, Bedros. I turn 24 in a month. I don't drink anymore. I watched porn during 1 week in August this year, but that's it. I stopped smoking weed a few weeks ago. Training striking, Kung fu, and kickboxing every week. Meditating daily. I am starting to budget and manage my finances better. I'm ready to be an asset in the world and no longer a liability.
This hits home. I decided to take a year off from alcohol simply because I hadn’t experienced life as an adult sober for more than 75 days at a time. I started drinking at 15 and I am about to turn 42 in January which is the one year mark of that commitment. Honestly my health and my life have gotten so much better that I don’t want to go back to that habit. I have never been this mentally agile and physically tuned in my life. I would recommend anyone that is thinking about taking a year off ……. DO IT
This was just what I needed today. I'm also just a casual drinker but as I get older (48yo) I feel like God is calling me to just stop drinking. you have a way of being very inspirational while being very informational. Thank you.
Alcohol controlled my life for over a decade. I am almost 8 months alcohol free and I have never felt better. Don’t believe the delusion that alcohol benefits your life. Thank you for the encouraging message.
You are making me a better man. I quit weed and barely drink. I’m on a new path in life and you are a huge part of that. I’m hoping this helps me get my wife back. You’re like a second dad! Thanks for all you do. Also I picked up a couple Few tees and looking forward to wearing them!
I’m 2 months away from 1 year of not drinking alcohol. When you said you were going to quit it inspired me to quit. Thank you Bedros for helping me to quit something that was keeping me from my potential.
You're right.. Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's OK. So many disgusting things used to be legal, and everyone went along with it. Racism was legal. Grown ups had inappropriate relationships with kids and it was legal.. etc.. I'll reach my 6th year of sobriety in March, and I'm proud. I quit smoking cigarettes when I quit drinking too. Didn't sit well with me that I was spending my hard earned money on things that were hurting me. Thanks for this video. The more sober people we see, the more normal sobriety feels.
Bedros, I needed this. I'm 27, 7 weeks into the gym and about 3 weeks completely sober off alcohol and no fast food. Never touched drugs apart from one time many many moons ago. I can tell this will be a good episode and I've just started it. Looking forward to it. Thank you for all your guidance so far, you're the "Rich Dad" in my life when it comes to screwing my head on and get my life in order.
Same here bro. He really changed our life. I wonder if he reads comments lol because he really needs to know the positive he’s bringing around the worlds
27, going on 28, here. I'm making kicking alcohol my birthday present to myself this year. I've had a rocky history with the stuff, and it is definitely just a massive cope so that I don't rely on God.
@@ChristAliveForevermoreget it! I'm still sober since this original comment. Have had many opportunities to drink and I keep turning it down. Cannot wait to keep blocking alcohol from my life this way!
Dear Bedros, I was in hospital bed while watching this video for the first time. I was diagnosed with diverticulitis due to excessive drinking but luckily nothing serious and I think I found your video at the right time and realized that I'm a prisoner of my own weakness. This video is amazing and an eye opener. I will make it a mission to quit alcohol and take up your challenge.
I am 7 years sober as of November. Alcohol consumed my life before and I wasted all my potential in my youth. I'm 46 now and my life is better than it ever has been. stay strong everyone!
I was sober for two months, but I made the decision to drink during my friend's birthday last week, and I regretted it the next day. Now that I'm in my 30s, my hangovers seem to last almost a week, and I still don't feel 100%. It's clear to me now that this lifestyle is not for me. I dislike feeling this way, and I remember how much better I feel when I don't drink. Trying this no drinking for a whole year again.
Same boat. Woman in my early 30s and everyone drinks around me. Family friends What I remember if I feel like I’m going to drink is every bad thing I ever regret doing/saying I’ve done while drinking. Feels horrible
Go for it and congratulations you can do it you know you can , if I may offer you some advice , take it one day at a time and say to yourself every morning I’m not going to drink today 🙌
You can do this! You may have to change your friends though and find people to do sober outings/activities. There’s a huge sober movement happening in the EDM community right now with Ecstatic dance, etc. You can still party. Don’t beat yourself up about last week. Consider it your realization day. Took me several attempts. Now I can’t even stand the smell. Best of luck!
Made the decision after watching this to quit drinking alcohol. I was much like you, really only having one drink or two socially in an entire month, but I noticed within myself that I would do it socially to not feel left out, or to blow off steam or decompress. I want to operate in peak performance in every area of my life. Thank you for this video.
I'm 64. I am now alcohol free for 4 months. I was not a daily drinker. I have also made other improvements in my life in the last two years - low carb, resistance training 3xweek, retired! I think the biggest improvement for me was my sleep. Aside from that, I believe that, with age, my levels of aldehyde dehydrogenase has decreased. If I drank three drinks (beer, wine, spirits) I would wake in a sweat and heart pounding. I am so glad to be alcohol free. I have just as much fun (or more), save money, and I always feel good!! I can't see ever going back to self destruction. My hat is off to all who make alcohol free their new, healthy reality. Bedros, good man, if your kids ask if they should do alcohol or weed, you should say NEITHER. Huberman has good episodes on both alcohol and weed. They will both ruin one's life. Be natural, be healthy and ask why you need something to alter your view of reality.
15 months sober. Never been happier, not much else to say. My friends and family still drink but I just feel so different and emotionally stable. I regret not doing it years ago. Great vid, Merry Christmas 👍
I’ve been sober for 90 days and have been feeling “why should I continue sobriety, I feel no different and all it has done is take a little bit of joy from me.” So, I came back to this video. I will keep going.
Bedros, you brought your A-game with this message. I drink very rarely, but last week I was pouring a drink after work, and my 4 year old son came up to me and asked if there was alcohol in there. At that moment, I felt a sense of guilt and knew I was not setting the right example for him. Something very small, but at that moment I decided to give up alcohol for good. This message was great to help me get started on this journey 🙏🏽 thank you for all of the content
Tried drinking, It actually doesn't feel the same as it used to, I like being able to think clearly. Alcohol makes me feel depressed almost instantly, I don't get the euphoric feeling at all anymore, so I stopped 2 years ago and haven't looked back!
Great show today B. I’ll be 2 years in with no alcohol in March. I originally lost the desire to drink because I loved my gains in the gym more than I loved partying on the weekends. So I would drink here and there but not as often as I would when I was running around being a human animal. Then I saw a video here on UA-cam that explained how fast alcohol gets into the blood and attacks and poisons everything in the body. That video made me completely stop drinking. I started drinking water at social gatherings lol. This video today just further strengthens my commitment to an alcohol free life. Keep the videos coming B! I look forward to them every week! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I have listened to many people in my quest to quit alcohol here.... and Bedros? You broke it down brilliantly for me. I am only 2 weeks in so far with abosolutely no alcohol, and I'll admit I have gotten weak on occasions but persevered through it and I didn't break. After listening to your video today? It inspired me more than anyone here on UA-cam to make my life alcohol free. I will NOT go back thanks to you and this video (it explained to much). I will save this video to reference throughout my 'sober journey'. THANK YOU SIR! I am forever indebted to you.
This guy is awesome! I can't believe ho similar I am to him, introverted, love working out and quit drinking for the same reason on the same day a year apart. I can relate to this on so many levels and it was good to hear and reaffirm not drinking.
I quit drinking 4 year's ago. Moved to another state to get away from the lifestyle. Best decision ever! It totally improved everything. I don't miss it at all. I am now spiritual and value my life a lot more. Drinking in excess is self abuse. God bless! ❤
@@SawBlade1190no matter how well you manage it, it makes you less attractive by drying out your skin, it costs money, it’s scientifically proven to damage the brain and it in no way improves your stress management without it so………🫤
@@SawBlade1190agreed. I work hard drink a couple beers a week play some music hug on my baby cook a steak and go to bed. No big deal lol. Then I put it down for the next week or so.
Thank you for this. I’m 54 and I stopped this past Labor Day weekend and I am amazed by how much better off I am in every conceivable way. Mind ,body and spirit waaayy better. Won’t be going back to it.
So many times i said to myself i could control myself and would not get wasted again. Now that i hurt her for real i feel l need to break and build myself. I just have 3 days, but as you said no more.
I would just like to say well done to everyone who have made the decision to stop drinking alcohol. Its a difficult path but the rewards are worth it . I pray we all stay sober ❤
I’ve been trying everything for almost a decade to quit….u name it, I tried but this has lit the fire under me like nothing else so far. Thanks for this! Wish me well. I’m starting today!🙏🏽🙌🏽
You can do it you know you can and if I may offer you some advice , every morning look in the mirror and say I’m not going to drink today , take one day at a time . My best wishes to you .
I love how every time I like to listen to someone, at some point soon enough down the line following their videos, they come out as aware of the shenanigans with the medical system during the pandemic ...just like me. There is a vibe I get that I like, and critical thinking has something go do with it
This is very timely for me. I usually take 3-4 months off drinking each year and start again around Christmas and new year for the celebrations. In 2 nights time I am going to a celebration and I’m feeling like I don’t want to start drinking again, ever. So thanks for this video. You’ve made me certain now. I will be strong. Never did understand why people are so bothered about what I drink or don’t drink when I’m out…
Thank you, Mr.Bedros, for all you share! pretty much throughout my teens and adult life has been spent drinking alcohol, and eventually drowning myself with the excuse of life pressures and being around likeminded friends. I have always been active in working out and trying to maintain my body. But as I got older in my senior years turned to wine and yes always beer. I could literally go through A Gallon of wine A week and add beer to it on the weekends. Everything you said in this video is straight-up truth! Now may I add my experience? It does affect your muscles and not only your joints, by giving you Gout as well. Your body gets so poisoned that your Liver and Kidneys are affected in the worst way! I suffered with knees locking up and ankles also, mostly lower extremities and my job requires a lot of time on my feet, so you can't imagine the pain and suffering I went through! all for the sake of "Oh thank God it's the weekend" Which were all told it's normal to party and get drunk! ( Kinda like being Gaslighted or Brainwashed). It took the miserable pain of my Kidney and taxed my liver and body to come to the conclusion that if I were to continue this path? I'm going to die. Or die A painful and miserable short life by committing Alcoholic suicide, A painful slow death. From the Diseases you mentioned. When telling friends I quit/stopped drinking, it's so true they give you the"Look". Anyway, I wish to leave anyone who will listen it doesn't add to your life it only takes away from you! Robbs from you, I just turned Sixtie and pray it's not too late but feeling so much better and striving to reach my goal of being sober for A year and from then on! I find it funny how these big companies sell their product with commercials of friends on beaches or campfires even playing sports and drinking their booze! Don't buy into it! It's all about the multi-billion dollar business. Even your local cities/counties want you drunk because do you know how much money they make on DUIs? They use the excuse NO TOLERANCE! Yet hold city functions downtown selling Beer and promoting local bars and Restaurants. Anyway, I could write pages on it all but will leave you with God bless and thank you for everything you share! Much Love Mike!
Right on. I am approaching a year sober at new year , something I never thought I'd manage at all. Took some wake up calls and a lot of self examination. Glad to have videos like this continually informing and motivating.
Dang brother just pulled you up this morning to see what you had new and this hit me just right where I needed it. Was reading up on the effects of alcohol and took a few online tests yesterday, with my answers, seems I AM ALCOHOL DEPENDENT. Then got home, my test results and a lecture letter were in the mail from my recent doctor visit. I just turned 48 16th this month, drinking whiskey daily and just realized/accept this shit is poison and the cause of ALL of my problems. I really do appreciate your realness and motivation in all your videos, but especially this one. Todays a new day, Thank You
it is the reason behind all my problems ! I have stopped for about three months once i was so clear and felt great, one beer later I have a bunch of regrets ..! That was three years ago and 2024 is the year I am hanging it up for all the reasons you mentioned ! no brainer Thanks for being real, I think that makes it more urgent to STOP!
Brother Bedros, thank you so much for taking the time and caring about us enough to deliver this message. I had a much different experience with alcohol in regards to its extreme negative impacts on my life. I had two months of sobriety last year that showed me the same benefits you outline here (mental clarity, leaning out, better relationships) and fell off the wagon briefly. I am back on the straight and narrow after receiving a DUI and having my license revoked. This was the last in a long line of events that hurt my life, stemming from alcohol. I am 24 years old and have already seen how poor my life would be if I continued down that path. I am joining you in an alcohol free lifestyle and thank you again for creating this video to solidify this decision.
One of my best friends is a raging alcoholic. We used to be roommates when we were younger and would drink, smoke, and do whatever else we could get our hands on. I eventually grew up and out of it for the most part - casual drinking, the occasional toke or sniff (just being honest). He on the other hand has lost control. It breaks my heart. The thing is he is accepting. He knows, he acknowledges, and is content with whatever fate comes with it. It breaks my heart. The icing on the cake is that I’m in my final year of nursing school right now. 12 months away from having my BSN. Having an even deeper understanding of what’s actually happening inside his body makes me want to fucking cry man. I will lose my best friend to this demon, and at this point, nothing can stop it. Today I hit 10 weeks sober. Im not going to justify my drinking habits, but I was certainly in control and casual comparatively. I wish I could give him the same willpower.
You’re absolutely a blessing to this earth Bedros. I’m currently 4.5 years sober. that was the best thing that ever happened to me. Even at my rock bottom. One day at a time 🙌✨❤️
I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know how much your content means to me. Your videos have been a source of inspiration and motivation, and I genuinely appreciate the time and effort you put into creating them. It's evident that you're passionate about what you do, and that passion resonates with your audience. Your unique perspective and engaging style make each video a true pleasure to watch. Your dedication doesn't go unnoticed, and I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude. Thank you for consistently delivering quality content that keeps me acountable. Keep doing what you're doing because you're making a positive impact, and your efforts are truly appreciated.
I have been trying to live sober since March of 2021. I’ve relapsed dozens of times, gone to 3 rehabs and have finally put together 4 months of sobriety. The longest time I’ve gone with a drink in almost 15 years and am absolutely happy for the first time in my life. I wasn’t sure if that would be possible without drinking. I’m glad I didn’t give up
18 years ago I walked away from alcohol after being a daily drinker from my teens and all through my twenties . I don’t miss it , the expense , the guilt , the anxiety , the hangovers etc etc. Everything is better without alcohol, everything
Hearing you speak on how drinking alcohol can speed up the potential, or lack of a better term, of cancer killing cells is absolutely eye opening. You have my attention Bed
Hi I'm a new (female) subscriber. I quit alcohol 4 years ago and the difference in my energy levels is crazy. I have better skin, hair and doing better in the gym 💪🏼 I look way younger than my peers and my focus and memory has improved dramatically. I would recommend quitting. It's better than any miracle drug or supplements 🙌🏼
I was fortunate enough to run across your channel as the title caught my attention.... I'm glad I clicked play. For me, you nailed it with all the downsides to alcohol in your body & the detrimental effect it does to the body & mind long/short term.... there's not a single positive as you did drive home that fact. I personally can attest to everything you have discussed here as I made a personal decision to stop drinking one particular day back in 2016 and I've never looked back....I was 53 at the time & I'm now 60, it was 💯 the right decision as my life now has clarity & focus every waking moment (I have to admit, i kinda like it that way). I absolutely love what your doing here to help others with such care, compassion & most importantly the truth.....sincere thanks & awesome channel!!!
I gave up beer in September. I was never a heavy drinker either but at 44 I decided that the juice was not worth the squeeze. It is liberating in a way and my mental clarity is great. Thanks for making a video on this. 🤙🏽
My advice to everyone is don’t keep track of how long you’ve been alcohol free. Why are you keeping track if you quit? If you’re alcohol free then you just don’t drink, no need to keep track.
Hey Bedros, I want to thank you. You inspired me quitting alcohol with this podcast episode exatly one year ago. You are absolutely right even though I am just 25 years of age. I feel much better now, especially compared to the days after drinking it. Now I am going to keep letting my fingers from it. I am sure this will benefit my health in the long term.
It’s my time to stop alcohol. Thanks for this powerful, insightful video. I keep it handy and have been watching it as needed to keep me on the road to sobriety. Whatever alcohol seemingly provides me…by personal development I can do for myself
I started drinking when I was around 19 years old. Now I am 40. And I think it is time to stop drinking for good (lots of bad stuff) Please never take that stuff, it is a hard drug. I am currently recovering from it. The things you mention I recognize. I am confident that I will stand my ground and do what is best for me and the people around me. Thanks!
Thank you Bedros I’m 36 years old and you have open my eyes and mind so much I cannot explain. Keep up the good work. I listen to your podcast in Spotify and now I follow your UA-cam channel. Shout to you I’m also a foreign came to this great country when I was 13 I’m originally from El Salvador . Lets us know when you came to Orlando Florida. 👍🏼💪🏼👏🏼
It’s great to hear from someone who drank very little. Most videos are from people who had a problem, that’s not me. Thanks for inspiring me to give it up totally 🙏🏻
I loved this! I made the decision that laat Saturday was the last day I drink of alcohol. You explain this perfectly and I wish I would’ve gotten here sooner, but I’m happy that I’ve gotten here at all! Thanks for the encouragement and awesome podcast!
Thank you for this message. You'd be surprised how much I needed to hear this. It's time to be honest with myself and quit the excuses and justifications.
Hi Bedros, thank you for this particular special episode on alcohol as I've been drinking heavily since high school and I'm 53 years old now. As I look back on all my experiences drinking alcohol...it has never really served me positively. As I would do it to hang with my family and friends and it's embeded deeply into my culture. I'm Samoan...born and raised in American Samoa and drinking is a way of life there, as there is not much to do on a small island. I remember growing up and my father and mother would host a lot of parties with lots of drinking. I beleive that is where my drinking addiction is rooted from. I had asked my father just before he passed in 2012, he was 84 years old...I asked him, Dad, if you could go back in your life and do it all over again, what would you do? He said, I wish I never drank. That hit hard with me. Now, my mom who's been a smoker (cigarettes) since she was a teenager, she's 75 yrs old now. She quit smoking for about 6 months now due to breathing problems. I beleive her breathing problem is because she's vaccinated. And, I'm not. Anyways...so, with my dad saying he wished he never drank and my mom now quitting smoking (which I can't beleive she would ever have quit)...I feel like I would like to quit drinking to honor them. I also feel God is telling me to quit too. But, I don't know. I do know that this episode made me think Big time and I'm praying to God for help and guidance. Thank you Bedros for all you do and keep the eye and mind opening episodes coming. I appreciate you brother.
I’m 1 week without it. I’ve decided I’m done and no longer want this garbage in my life. Time for a new me. I’m excited and going to focus on my health and hit the gym harder again! Appreciate the video it’s eye opening and very informative. God bless bro!
I drank for 23 years, started in high school and stopped when I was 38. I took baby steps on my road to sobriety. Started off with only drinking on weekends, then gradually ended up drinking twice a month, then every other month to now going on 4 yrs sober. What really helped me was not hanging out with my friends who drank. I don't hang out with anyone nowadays and it's fine with me because I'm sober.
Keep it that way and I’m sure you know this , one day at a time and just look in the mirror every morning and say I’m not going to drink today . Congratulations 🙌
@@stevensofroniou Thank You, and to anyone reading this it's not easy to give up drinking and it's going to take some time but it's possible. I remember going places and leaving because I felt weird because everyone was drinking except for me. Now I can go anywhere without the urge to drink. Giving up drinking is possible, it just takes self discipline.
I was meant to see this video. It "randomly" popped up in my feed. I have greatly reduced my alcohol consumption in the past year along with completely revamping my mental, spiritual and physical health! Now I've been going back and forth with the idea of just stopping alcohol completely. I am super close. Been watching a lot of videos about it too, but this one is really speaking to me!🙌🏽🔥
I literally landed myself in the hospital for drinking too much. Affected my blood pressure, my heart, my kidneys. And after that, I just said f*** it I’m done, if drinking alcohol is gonna impact my life in such a negative way, I don’t need it. Two weeks so far I’m off it, and I feel so much better. Sleep better, no bad dieting habits, I’m not dehydrated…and yeah ima miss out on stuff I might be the negative Nancy or the boring person at a party but I don’t care, my health is not worth the risk anymore
I quit for 6 months this year...AMAZING! Like a dummy, O went back cause truth be told, I got lonely ( sobriety is a lonely process..at first) As this year is closing, I can't wait to go back to not drinking. Only this time, I'm not afraid to be by myself. The new cast members will come. KEEP GOING..U CAN DO IT!!
This video was very good bro! I'm 54 . Stopped 6 months ago. I'm liking the I'm feeling! My body and mind feels clean! I'm going to keep this going for the foreseeable future!
I tore a bicep a little while back. And I have had muscle tendon and ligament issues over the years. I recently found out that long term alcohol use causes muscle tissue deterioration. I was always hurting myself, my body feels better since I have not been drinking.
You are a Godsend…I was a lighter drinker 2 beer every 2 nights…quit now for 6 days til forever…you gave such great detail into alcoholism on your body…
Three months into my journey of sobriety, the decision to quit alcohol has proven to be a transformative choice. The interference it once wielded over my work and relationships became too glaring to ignore. It wasn't until I took the brave step towards sobriety that the clouds began to lift. The decision to quit was, above all, a commitment to reclaiming control over my aspirations and connections. Sobriety has become the cornerstone of my renewed sense of purpose, enabling me to embark on creative endeavors that were once overshadowed by the numbing effects of alcohol.
@BedrosKeuilian I had 22 years drinking. After listening to Bedros I stop drinking I have 5 months alcohol free. Thank you for motivating and inspiring others
Bedros, last drink I had was end of July. What really solidified it for me was listening to Andrew Huberman's in depth show on alcohol. Maybe if someone would have explained it to me like that when I was 15 I never would have started. Thanks for making this episode.
Hey gents here’s my challenge for you guys. Stop drinking for 6 weeks and in that time do my 6-week Marathon Challenge - it will change your life👇🏼 (and it’s free) bedroskeuilian.com/challenge
There is someone pretending to be you that reached out to me asking me to text him. pretending to be you same name with a 2 at the end. Just FYI
Congrats Sir!! I been clean sober 27 years and still doing the do.

Yes! 💯 I stopped medicating with alcohol and my anxiety problems are way better
Praise The Lord !!!
My 5 year old daughter told me I was mean when I drank. So I gave it up on April 16th 2020. Wonderful decision and helped my family but most of all brought clarity to my life.
I woke up in the middle of a blackout. My daughter deserves better
alcohol bring the worst from people.. my father used to drink too and he became so aggressive and picking up fight with people. Said some really cruel things to his kids
like when had bad depression and tried to talk to him about it then he just say then go kill yourself.
Alcohol destroyed him but also destroyed 2 families through his lifetime. I`m glad you stopped and it improved your life
👏👊
When my daughter was a baby she would cry when I picked her up after I had just smoked - guess she didn’t like the smell. I stopped smoking. It’s been 13 years. About 2 years ago she said get up off that couch and do something instead of drinking. I stopped then. Never took another drink since. Will never go back.
That was a mean thing for her to say.
Alcohol is the one drug where people will tell you that you got a drinking problem if you drink to much and ask if something is wrong if you quit
133 days for me. Been binge heavy drinking my whole life. Feels good so far. Challenge for me is figuring out who I am without it. It was such a big part of my identity

Who are you without it? Simple you are you. You broke the cycle. That's the hardest part.

Just hit my 1000 days SOBER from alcohol big B!!!
Def proud of myself and feel like more of a man now that I no longer partake in the substance.

Dude I resonate with this 100%
Coming from a Hispanic household all I’ve grown up around is drinking and getting shit faced. Even with my friends. It’s like once you say you’re not drinking anymore you’re looked down as an outcast. Fuck it though! We’re part of 1%
Same foh as the Hmong folks it’s a tradition we drink every weekends

Just hit my 1000 days SOBER. Fuck that shit lol.
Love being in control ALL the time.
Thank you

3 days is way too early to get excited. Have you fallen off the wagon?
@@Kevin-o2ydick head comment for a lot of people that are dependent that’s a great start
Congrats hopefully ur at 7 months its rough but gets better with time slowly.
💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Exactly right!
The anxiety that comes after drinking is unbearable. It's an unfortunate cycle. Drink to cope with anxiety, which later exacerbates it. No more.
After 30 days sober your baseline anxiety will reset and you’ll be good to go!
I did sober October, and couldn't believe the natural decrease in anxiety. I gotta get back to this again 💪
So true.
Been sober for 6 months. Starting to feel better and am very excited to hit that 12 months. Thank you for the extra kick in the butt today!
Godspeed brother, take it one day at a time. You can do it.
@@lmcov4 Thank you, brotha!

Absolutely, congratulations 🙌
This hits home. I decided to take a year off from alcohol simply because I hadn’t experienced life as an adult sober for more than 75 days at a time. I started drinking at 15 and I am about to turn 42 in January which is the one year mark of that commitment.
Honestly my health and my life have gotten so much better that I don’t want to go back to that habit.
I have never been this mentally agile and physically tuned in my life.
I would recommend anyone that is thinking about taking a year off ……. DO IT
Hell yeah brother coming up to one year now myself
I’m at 6 months! Went hard from 18-40. I don’t want to go back. I’ve drank enough for 10 lifetimes 🙃
@@Goodoverevil2 I know the feeling.

3 years no alcohol...best decision ever! Sleep better, more energy, more money, less anxious and more
I’m 2 months away from 1 year of not drinking alcohol. When you said you were going to quit it inspired me to quit. Thank you Bedros for helping me to quit something that was keeping me from my potential.
Congratulations 🙌
Such a good video. Needed to hear this. 70 days in and functioning on a higher level 💪
I'm 46 also. Looking forward to the reset. This is my second time circling around the subject of my life with alcohol and what life would be w/o it.
how did it improve?
I was sober for two months, but I made the decision to drink during my friend's birthday last week, and I regretted it the next day. Now that I'm in my 30s, my hangovers seem to last almost a week, and I still don't feel 100%. It's clear to me now that this lifestyle is not for me. I dislike feeling this way, and I remember how much better I feel when I don't drink. Trying this no drinking for a whole year again.
Same boat. Woman in my early 30s and everyone drinks around me. Family friends
What I remember if I feel like I’m going to drink is every bad thing I ever regret doing/saying I’ve done while drinking. Feels horrible
Go for it and congratulations you can do it you know you can , if I may offer you some advice , take it one day at a time and say to yourself every morning I’m not going to drink today 🙌
I'm off it 2 years, relate to the week long hangovers! Tbh, I was still seeing possitive effects 100 days after quitting
Hahahahahah! Love that
Bro! Thank you so much for this video. You don’t even know how much this video has helped me.
I was drinking a 12 pack every night . Im 42 and it would wreck me . Got off the sauce and loving life .
God bless you. Stay hard

5 months sober. Best decision I've ever made, and I can glady say I do not crave it.

5 years & going strong. So happy for everyone that walks away from alcohol. If you mess up, start over.
My advice to everyone is don’t keep track of how long you’ve been alcohol free. Why are you keeping track if you quit? If you’re alcohol free then you just don’t drink, no need to keep track.
Some people feel like setting a date or goal helps them be accountable
It's also a milestone, an accomplishment.
Bedros opened my eyes to the stupid shit I was doing. Quit drinking, and honestly, i feel great after 9 months. Feel clean.
504 days and feeling great🙏🏼🌺💚🤙🏼
I loved this!
It's time to be honest with myself and quit the excuses and justifications.

i dont stopped drinking alcohol.
but i drink maybe 2-3 times per year.
its a game changer

Now you will be able to be a proper husband and father....
True and well said. I feel exactly the same💕
@BedrosKeuilian I had 22 years drinking.
Omg agreed
Great episode… good, honest common sense! I’m 22 months alcohol free after decades of drinking and I’ve never felt better! 💪🏼💕
