Lebron being blessed with a Kyrie Irving/Paul George hairline would've meant he hit a second genetics lottery. But god had to humble him a bit, like "i'mma make one of the greatest basketball players ever but...
I wanna see how he deals with that George Jefferson at 25 just for the hell of it". 🤭
@The Underground Evolution Of Hip Hop TV hahahahahahahaha
@The Underground Evolution Of Hip Hop TV you're talking about the boxer right?
@The Underground Evolution Of Hip Hop TV in terms of raw athleticism I'd say lebron and wilder are comparable, but lebron far outpaces wilder in intelligence within their respective sport and talent/skill. Although I don't think either is particularly intelligent, wilder has got to be the dumbest athlete I've seen in a while
Paul george and Kyrie Irving are both part native american. In actuality, you'd be hard pressed to see any native american with hair loss. They are the only race with an "anti-balding gene".

17:40. Unfortunately telling this to black guys that care more about their hairline since they keep their hair super low (at least the majority of us) is gonna be tough. The majority of black guys that get a hair transplant, do it to get the hairline back at all costs. We rather have a hairline and use concealer than have a dense middle scalp back.
Appreciate the perspective
Black guys should experiment with length more. I’m black and i keep some length to my hair. It actually disguises the thin areas completely. My Hairline is decent and I don’t have a big head so the fro just kinda shrinks along the natural line and hides the minor recession. Nappy hair has a lot of utility in that respect. Grow it 3 times longer than desired if you have 4c and let it shrink into place. Then shape it.
@Aristides Gonzalez it’s probably not stress if it’s your hairline. I would use minoxidil. My hair started thinning 7 years ago and it’s been stable since I started minoxidil 3 years ago. It sheds like crazy at first though. I actually get a dermatologist grade 7% minoxidil with .01% topical finasteride in it as well. Haven’t found topical finasteride anywhere else though. 45 bucks a month.
If you’re born in the 2000s and up. Low hairline means more than anything. The faded haircuts look way better. Obviously if you’re an ol’ head and only get super cut haircuts than it doesn’t really matter.
@@qaaronrodgers2479 if you have waves you can disguise a receding hairline if it’s not too bad. That’s why I say just use minoxidil and wolf out your waves so they’ll cover more of your forehead. If the crown is thinning rip. 😂😂😂

Hey cousin!
Hi Dr. Gary. You make amazing and well explained content. I think you should definitely make a video on the difference between your clinic and clinics like hair of Istanbul (you don't have to use any names, you could just say foreign/cheaper clinics that use lots of donor hair in one operation). I'm 26, and although I haven't noticed any hair loss yet it's something I do think about and have researched. Your answer showed me why these foreign clinics aren't the answer, but plenty of people roughly my age don't realize that these clinics are exhausting your entire donor supply and will result in a very strange hair pattern later in life. You should talk about why a prospective patient should very strongly consider these clinics and why they aren't a great option for young men who are balding early.
Thanks Lucas! Check out my video on hair transplants in Turkey. I think it has what you’re referring to.
At the end of the day no man wants to lose their hair and they’re gonna do everything they can to save it - so kudos to him for trying - but no matter what he does, even if he would’ve gone bald, he would’ve been scrutinized. So to all the balding man - we love you 💙💙
MJ just shaved his and didn't care what people said and embraced it..thats greatness
@@johnblack4915 MJ shaved his head during an era way before social media, and in an era where balding wasn’t stigmatized nearly as much as it is today. Go watch the old TV shows, movies and sports, and men rocked receding hairlines and bald spots like it was nobody’s business. When MJ was losing his hair, he wasn’t getting flamed for it because it was seen as normal. These days, once LeBron was receding, the internet and people in general were flaming LeBron for his hair. It matters much more today and men are more self-conscious about it due to other men flaming them and women not being attracted to them. So to compare MJ to LeBron in this is not a good comparison. Also, maybe LeBron is holding onto his hair and MJ for rid of his because MJ has the head shape for it and LeBron doesn’t (this is actually a huge factor for many in deciding whether to shave it off or not). Also, maybe MJ didn’t try to hold onto it because back then (in the 80s), they didn’t have the same options we have today. Rogain wasn’t a thing for hair yet, finasteride wasn’t either and hair transplants weren’t nearly as good as they are today. Modern hair transplants weren’t starting to be done until the 90s. The first FUT procedure was in the 90s. MJ shaved his head in 1989 before any of these options. And we don’t know if he tried natural remedies to regrow his hair or stop the balding. People love to compare LeBron to Jordan to throw LeBron under the bus, especially with bs metrics like this. Your statement is probably the most ridiculous MJ LeBron comparison I’ve ever heard.

Which is it? Also if they do find a cure in the future do you think it would work on scarring A since the tissue is so different?
Scarring can destroy the follicles but as long as the underlying condition is under control you can sometimes do a transplant and bring new follicles into the area.

I’m not a doctor but from what I was told after my transplant you should avoid using minoxidil for the first 10 days post transplant. After the first 10 days using minoxidil on the transplanted area CAN help see some quicker regrowth but is not guaranteed to speed anything up.

He tried it and it looked weird
Don't you have to take some medication after hair transplant like forever? Does that medication affect athletic performance in negative way?
Can you please explain if the DHI method is better than the FUE method. Also can hair be donated from the beard for the hairline? Thank you so much your videos are very informative and beneficial
Yes for heard to hairline. I am in the process of making a DHI video, too much misinformation.
@@drgarylinkov thank you so much I’m a Med student and the stress has really done a number on my hairline 😂 I plan to save up some money and have a procedure done. Thank you so much!
21:00 thumbs up for that random DBZ scene
i have alopecia areota as well, i admire your wisdom and confidence.
🙏
Yeah. He’s epic!!
Hair loss from alopecia areata could come back. I have it still after a year. Did it come back for you?
@@thecruize9034 yeah it sucks because it has came back a couple times throughout life but unfortunately I lost it again and it hasn't came back since. For me it has been a huge barrier, like people don't understand how a detail like hair loss can make you feel inadequate, plus other people don't wanna understand like I really went to war throughout my life. If there any tips or advice like as far as products and routines you try incorporate in your daily regimen that you think could help, feel free to share. ✌️☮️
@@ezrawatson7026 Yeaa same. Mine is a little spot on the top of the scalp. I regularly have to check if its covered up, because it looks really bad. I use steroid injections that my dermatalogist prescribed to me. The irritation and itchiness is gone, but no hair still. Im still waiting :(
Idk I always tell myself take good care of it and yourself and accept that this is a part of your life, and if people dont like it then fuck them. I mean what else is there to do. Hair transplant and finasteride? No thnx I'll go for a buzzcut and tell myself Im awesome!
Hope this helps man. And best of luck to us! :)
Transplant journey and openness would really be helpful to our ability to make an educated decision and put our expectations in perspective
Dr. Gary if a person is prone to keloid and is also balding would a hair transplant still be an option or would you recommend them not to go through with it and explore other options
Great question
Doc, youre awesome! You so gotta do tyga and wayne rooney
When Lebron's hair starts showing patchiness despite transplant procedures, could that possibly mean that he chose NOT to go with medical therapy in combination with procedures?
0:15 amen to that brother!! As a role model, one has to be a good one, a transparent one.
Hi doc. Can u update us about your alopecia areta you got? whats your option ?
I’m on allergy shots and it seems to be helping.
