    I’m not very much used to the changing camera angles. It’s quite interrupting and preferred the earlier edits whereas it’s not flashy. No need for extra shots, Dr.Dray. Only you speaking is already excellent.

      I strongly suggest The Ordinary's Salicylic Anhydrous Solution for dry skin with acne.
      But make sure you get -ANHYDROUS- not the regular one, the regular one is very drying.
      Anhydrous on the other hand is quite oily and pretty good for dry skin, but still has the 2% salicylic acid that is amazing at treating acne.

    Being allergic to propylene glycol, I appreciate when a company like cerave comes out with a “redundant” acne cleanser. Paulas choice seems to be addicted to putting PG in their products, and cerave is one brand I can count on that I won’t find any.

      Ironically, when I was first diagnosed with severe eczema at age 26, pg was in the steroid cream I was prescribed, triamcinalone (sp?). That sent me on quite a journey (2 years) to figure out why my itching couldn’t be quelled by steroid creams, and only kept getting worse.

      @@rachelhoward7889 I didnt think Pamys' comment came off rude at all nor "nitpicky". I totally get where youre coming from though but I think theyre just offering feedback. I dont think it was neccesary to "go off" on them for a mature comment. The comment even mentions it was still an enlightening video. Just because someome says they dont like something doesnt mean theyre displaying hatred. In any line of work feedback is neccessary and its necessary for the provider to accept feedback in order to reflect what works for their audience's experience. I love that Dr Dray is experimenting though! Nothing wrong with it! But I think she's more than capable of taking criticism in her line of work.

    The acne gel is the best spot treatment I've ever used! Clears up active pimples overnight and gets even better by the 2nd day. Also works lovely as a once or twice a week chemical exfoliator! I hope it's doing well on the market so it will stick around because it's truly awesome to have all those nice actives, and considering how much you'd pay for Paula's Choice, etc. that have the exact same actives, $17 really isn't that bad, and you really don't need that much to feel it working. A little skincare tip when using foaming cleanser, use a small amount, apply some water to it and work it up into a foam before washing the face with the foam. Many people have a bad habit of over using their skin cleanser and applying the paste directly onto the face and rubbing it until it foam. You will increase your chance of getting outbreaks if your cleansing method is incorrect. Lastly wash off your cleanser throughly so as not to leave residue behind and if possible choose a cleanser that is sls free.

    • @bredee424
      @bredee424 3 роки тому +11

      Hello,
      This is incorrect. Applying the cleanser without foaming it up is completly fine and in many cases it is reccomended. Something to have in mind is if the cleanser is to be foamed or if it is foaming. A gel can often be applied directly to skin.

    There are two ways to treat acne breakout. Using skincare to eliminate bacteria and calm skin is one way which almost everyone are doing with varying degree of success. Another method is to address the problem at its root by treating the hormonal level change which can be done by using medications or simply getting enough rest and managing stress level so as not to trigger out acne outbreak.
    I found out that solely relying on skincare is not a foolproof way to clear skin. Taking some steps to made a bit of changes in lifestyle, diet and mood management work hand in hand together with skincare to bring about clear glowing skin over time.

    I have combo/oily skin, I've been using 2 cerave products for months now, and the best moisturizing experience so far has been the daily moisturizing lotion, I use it for the body and face, I was using Neutrogena Oil control for the face, but my face kept breaking out, after making the switch everything was balanced, no more breakouts and the lotion is almost instantly absorbed, and I live in a tropical country with 70 to 90 degree weather, I loved the PM moisturizing but after trying the lotion I didn't come back, it's less expensive anyways. Just my two cents on cerave, love the products I'm using, I will try next the 30 spf sunscreen next.

    Allergic reaction
    I believe I’m one of those that have an allergic reaction to a particular preservative called Phenoxyethanol. Now there may be others, but this is a preservative that is also in the PM Facial Moisturizing lotion. I did not have this reaction to the AM moisturizer which does not have Phenoxyethanol. I only used it one time. I’m very dissatisfied to say the least.

      Hey, eventuell weißt du das schon, aber in einigen Apotheken kann man CeraVe bei uns kaufen, ansonsten bestellen die einem auch gerne die Produkte. Ich weiß nicht ob man diese beiden Produkte auch schon in anderen Ländern kaufen kann aber die CeraVe Produkte die schon länger auf dem Markt sind auf jeden Fall schon😊

    Thanks, Dr Dray. In my own experience, I find the most effective is benzoyl peroxide 10. The 5 just doesn't have any noticeable effect. Within minutes BP10 starts to work and within a week my skin is clear. It seems to be hard to get hold of in England. I think the highest you can get is 5. It does cost me more to get imported products but worth it! I may try introducing salicylic acid into my regime too!

      By 10 do you mean 10% benzoyl peroxide? Research has shown that 10% and 5% BP isn't notably more effective than 2.5% BP but can cause more irritation, so more than 2.5% BP isn't necessarily recommend. 2.5% is effective. Maybe in a wash off product 5% would be fine, but it's not needed in a leave-on product.
