Salicylic Acid has always been so good to me. As an oily girl, SA has really been vital to manage my acne and prevent post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It's honestly my go to for almost instant results. Within days of using it, my acne lesions are less noticeable and my skin texture significantly improves. I can always rely on it.
*56yrs. old, SA cleanser 2x/day* . I've been using the Cerave SA Cleanser for two years. I was getting black and white heads on my cheeks and this product totally solved the issue within a few weeks. Consistent use has dramatically improved my overall texture and I have experienced zero irritation. It's a Holy Grail product for me.
Good morning Dr Dray! I’ve been watching your videos for the last 2 years after dealing with severe PCOS acne for most of my life. Today I’ll be graduating from my MBA program with clear, glowing skin thanks to your help. Appreciate all your hard work!
I'm surprised no one ever mentions the cerave Psoriasis wash! It has 2% salicylic acid, lactic acid, glycolic acid and urea. Its super strong but its the best thing I've ever used for my seborrheic dermatitis and keratosis pilaris!
I tested besan flour as facewash, but it rather lead to skin rash. As a result, later, I switched to littleextraa riceberry face wash, and trust me, my skin has greatly benefitted from this and got better than how it was... pimple and spots reduced, blemishes faded, pore size reduced a lot, and skin has become more glowing and smoother, and I am getting compliments from friends these days.
The riceberrry face wash worked well for my sensitive skin, no acne and bright glowing skin. Already on my 2nd bottle and very happy with the results I got.
The White Mulberry and Black Rice Water in the Rice Berry face cleanser and Vitamin C Face Serum have balanced my skin tone, making it brighter and glowy.
I have acne, but my skin is also quite prone to dehydration, and I really second your suggestion of not using too much! Not only does it make sure it gets completely rinsed off, but it also makes the cleanse itself more gentle. Many SA cleansers are formulated to be a bit stronger in terms of cleansing properties, and if you find that it leaves you feeling a dry, using less can make a big difference! There's less surfactent going on your face, which makes the cleanse more mild. The cleansers with pumps can mislead us to believe that one full pump is necessary/okay, when in reality, less than half a pump would be adequate to clean most people's faces, and a full pump can leave a lot of people feeling dry. I discovered this initially by just trying to save money - I wanted to reduce how much product I was using as much as possible, so I started experimenting with the quantity of cleanser used. With most foaming cleansers, I learned that a pea sized amount can be sufficient to not only adequately cleanse my face but also to minimise the dehydrating effects of cleansing. I apply this rule to all cleansers I've used, regardless of the active ingredients, and I've been consistently shown that I can get away with using less than I initially expected. Cream/non-foaming cleansers are a bit different, though, because they have somewhat less spreadability due to the lack of lather and are usually very mild already. This habit has also reduced the frequency with which I buy cleansers. These days, I opt for ones with a shelf life of 6-12 months because I take a good while to finish even 200ml cleansers.
Yes! Almost any cleanser dried my skin out. 😅 Then I started using smaller quantities of cleanser . And voilà! My skin was cleansed, but never dry again.😊
Walgreen's has a great dupe for Cera Ve; it is also a gel, also has ceramides, vitamin d, and is not at all irritating, although caveat - I am very oily, especially at this time of the year. I generally use it 2x/day now, but 1x/day in winter, alternating w/a hydrating cleanser at night when I use retinol. I've never had a problem with eyelid drying, as you described. They don't give the percentage SA, but I would assume .5% since 2% would be super drying. It's not drying but does a really good job of removing the oil. They're having a sale right now, buy 1, get 1 half off if anyone is interested!
Cerave SA changed my life. I have seen drastically how my skin improved. I had problems with sebum, white heads, and black heads, and my skin texture was terrible, after using it for how many years, of course alongside with my other skin care, my face has improved soooo much.
A great salicylic acid facial cleanser that I've been loving lately is the Eclat Salicylic Acid Cleanser. I ordered it from Amazon for $6, so it's very affordable, and, again, amazing. I find it be incredibly gentle and non drying. My skin actually feels quite smooth and moisturized after using it. It's formulated with aloe vera, tea tree oil, licorice root extract and green tea extract. I find it be a great cleanser for my mature skin.
I love the Stubborn Texture cleanser by Neutrogena. At 56, my skin is post-menopausal, it's drier and more sensitive, yet I still get acne. (fun).... this really helped improve the acne without causing irritation, it truly was a lifesaver! Thanks for the great video Dr. Dray!
Yes! I love their stubborn texture line as well and I’m 30. It’s the perfect jelly texture where you can get a lather but it’s not harsh. I’ve even mixed some into my shampoo for a clarifying effect and it works perfectly.
Hi Dr Dray. I’m going into the archives of some of your previous videos, and am so grateful (again) for the time you take to educate your followers. I feel much more prepared to purchase products that I think will work for my skin issues. I should share that I have a board certified derm that I see every six months for skin cancer checks. Thank you for your encyclopedic ability to describe and de-mystify various subjects and products. 🙏🏻
I actually use the Neutrogena sal shampoo once in a while because I get a lot of buildup on my scalp, not from products, but just general dead skin. One time I decided to lather my face along with my hair, and I discovered that maybe it’s the 3% salicylic acid, but it really seemed to make my face feel smooth after the shower that time. So I periodically when I do use that shampoo, I will use it on my face as well. It does not dry me out or irritate me.
My dermatologist has me use Cerave SA wash in the morning 2-3 times a week and leave it on for 3 minutes. It works for my blackheads and smooths the way for my actives I use daily. It has helped with my hyperpigmentation as well.
I use the Cerave SA cleansing bar you once suggested not only for my face but also on my underarms as I get them waxed and on my bum for bum acne. Works wonderfully on those areas 😊
I recently got a free sample of the Cerave Blemish Control Cleanser and also the Blemish Control Gel. I am a HUGE fan of both of them! They contain ceramides and niacinamide in addition to SA so I don't find it irritating in the slightest, and I find it to be quite effective! Would absolutely purchase it with my own money - each product is around $20 AUD.
❤Dr Dray, I can’t thank you enough for recommending the renewing salicylic acid Cleanser. I am in my 50s and have used it for over a year and it has a very anti inflammatory effect on my face and neck. I am a farmer in the SE and the sun is super strong here.
I’m not the target demographic for SA cleanser, but Amazon sent the CraVe version in error, and told me to just keep it🤷🏻♀️ I’m one of your wiser OGs, but started using it once every week or so and have noticed my regular skin care regimen seems to work better afterward. Thanks, as always, for sharing your expert advice and help with all of us 🥰
I started using the up&up salicylic acid face wash a while ago and my skin already feels a lot smoother. I use to get two to three pimples a day when I was a teenager and it has lessened up since I turned 20 but I still get acne very often. Since I started using the face wash, I don’t get huge breakouts anymore and they aren’t as common. I’m definitely seeing an improvement in my acne. The only problem is I have dry skin so it can be a bit drying, which is why I pair it with the Eyude House hydro barrier cream. Thank you for the recommendation!
I use Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser. It has Salicylic Acid and my 66 year old skin loves it. There is a bit of fragrance and menthol in it but it's very mild and, as Dr. Dray always says, fragrance is okay in products that you wash off. I love a cream cleanser for my dry skin. It gently exfoliates and is non drying. I use it twice a day along with my retinol with no reaction. I use this cleanser in the AM followed by Gold Bond Pure and then my sunscreen....I love CVS Clear Zinc Lotion 50 Sunscreen. At night, I again use Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser followed by Gold Bond Retinol Overnight and then, after it dries, Differin. Hope this helps anyone with dry, "wiser" skin. Thanks, Dr. Dray for giving me beautiful skin. Love your videos. Watch every day!
Thanks for sharing! I had a question about using it on my almost-60 skin! I also use adapalene at night, but I still have noticeable blackheads on my nose. I've been considering adding an SA cream or solution in the morning, but a cleanser might be better to start with.
I prefer the gentle cleanser verses a leave-on salicylic gel or cream. This way you're washing away the salicylic acid leaving just a small amount behind. Just a thought. It works for me. Hope you find the same results.
I have been struggling with seborrheic dermatitis for the last couple of months and nothing had worked, until last Sunday when I started using a moisturizer from Cetaphil that has salicylic acid in it, and my lesions have improved greatly. I can barely see them now.
I wasn’t able to use salicylic acid until very recently. Every product I tried was irritating or too drying. For a while I even thought I was allergic to it. But I tried The Ordinary’s anhydrous solution, and I had no problems with it at all. Then I bought Naturium’s salicylic acid body wash in hopes it would help with KP (it hasn’t). I noticed that it says it’s formulated to be used on the face as well, so I tried it on my face when I started seeing more pimples and congestion, and I can’t believe how well I’m tolerating it! I only use it a few times a week, but I love it for this purpose. I will often apply a little bit to my oily/congested areas for a couple minutes before I get in the shower to give it more of a chance to work.
I’ve been using salicylic acid cleansers from Versed, Herbivore, and Current State. They all have some bonus anti-inflammatory ingredients thrown in and I’ve found them to be less drying and irritating than Cerave’s salicylic acid cleansers. The Versed one, in particular, is really creamy and not drying and also contains blue tansy. The Herbivore one is a gel consistency, but has a ton of anti-inflammatory ingredients thrown in, such as blue tansy, aloe, zinc PCA, and tumeric. The Current State one has a creamy consistency and contains aloe and green tea and a handful of other exfoliating acids on top.
Cetaphil with SA facial cleanser is great and gentle for my older oilier skin. Been using gels with SA for many years for acne spots with great success
That Cerave SA cleanser was brutal on my dry sensitive reactive skin. I have KP bumps on my neck and minor blemishes, so I thought this would help before shaving in the A.M, but it broke me out in an itchy red rash with extremely dry flaky skin. Took me a week to recover. I wasn't using any other treatment products apart from the Cerave hydrating lotion and IS clinical SPF 50.
The Cerave SA cleanser breaks out my chin in cystic acne. Nothing else does. Other Salycilic products are fine so it's something else in this specific formula.
Happy Monday, Dr. Dray and Friends! 🎊 Your advice to let the SA soap linger before rinsing has helped smooth my bumpy cheeks. I’ve been doing it for months now. Thanks for a great tip! ☮️💜
@@keekeejenkins6162 Hi! I wait between 1 and 2 minutes before I rinse. It seems like a long time as you’re sitting there with cleanser on your face!😆 Another great tip is to rub the cleanser between your hands without making a frothy foam. It will resemble a cream - then apply to your face. After waiting, foam it up with water then rinse well. 😄☮️💜
@@barbowens8626 helloo. What do you mean by after waiting? after applying the cleanser to the face? And how are you going to foam it with water? Is it like you're just going to wet your hands and foam it up in face?
Elf skin has come out with their “Blemish Breakthrough” line that I discovered a few months back at Ulta. I especially enjoy their acne calming water cream as a light weight moisturizer with 1% salicylic acid and 4% niacinamide. They also have a trial size kit which I use for travel. So far it’s been great!
Is there a concern for the salicylate poisoning if my son uses Paula’s Choice BHA all over his face, chest, and back to prevent acne once or sometimes twice per day? You said it’s a worry if over a large area.
I've tried all of these - my fave is Peach Slices, which I use once a day with great success. Consistency is key! I've also discovered that after lathering to my face, if I massage the bit of lather leftover on my hands to my upper arms, it completely clears my mild KP and leaves my upper arms smooth as silk. Love love love this product and could never be without - thank you Dr Dray for recommending!
Can you do video on pH dependance of BHA’S & AHA’S effectiveness. How this impacted by other creams, other buffers on face. They are weak acids after all, so I assume they are typically a salt when applied. I could be wrong.
Great timing. I am almost out of CreaVe SA, haven’t noticed much change. (60 y/o with dark spots). Going to try the Neutrogena stubborn texture formula at 1%. TY, as always great professor!
SA is best for oil, pores, blackheads, etc. If you have dark spots like pigment then either AHA or pigment blockers (kojic acid, alpha arbutin, vit c, etc) will work better
I feel like benzoyl peroxide works better than SA on my acne prone skin. Most of my acnes are flammable cystic acne. I have oily skin, and my face isn’t sensitive. I usually wash my face with Panoxyl and leave it on my skin for 5-10 minutes in the morning and use SA cleanser at night. It dried out my acne within a few days.
I use cerave's acne control cleanser with salicylic acid and I only use it three times a week. the other times I use their hydrating facial cleanser. If I use it too many days it makes my skin too dry.
Used the clear salicylic acid cleanser and my skin was so irritated and dry I put at least a handful of moisturizer to combat the dryness and make the irritation go away.
I wanted to tell you Dr. Dray to go to the Dollar Tree because I saw a lot of lemon themed goodies today.. They had glasses, plates, kitchen towels with lemons.
I started using CeraVe SA cleanser when I developed terrible maskne. It has helped to clear up my skin & also helps with bumps from outgrowing chin whiskers. A little bit goes a long way. I follow with Timeless vitamin C serum.
I have been using the cerave SA cleanser for a few months now. I'm 63 and it helps with occasional small breakouts without irritation. It's also skin smoothing. I thankyou for this recommendation months ago. I never had acne, but sometimes get apimple or two now and then. Love your work. Thankyou.
The Cetaphil cleanser was for acne was the one I use last time it worked very well especially since I have dry skin it was one of the acne cleanser is that I found that didn’t try out my skin
What kind of body soap (also for eczema ) do you recommend? My son’s doctor recommended dove soap 16 years ago but I’m starting to think it’s not great for the family skin (and aging). We also use Aveeno everything.
I am 50 yr old lady plz guide which five products of CeraVe should I buy including face wash ' moisturizer' night cream ' any anti-aging etc ( my skin is slightly dry but few wrinkles) for my daily routine. thanks
Hi Dr Dray, thanks for the video! Just a quick question, I’m aware that chemical peels can be effective in reversing the physical signs of skin aging, but are they a beneficial preventative method?
I wash with Salicylic acid 2% cleanser for facial Seborrheic dermatitis, and it works really well! I wash with it maybe twice weekly and I leave it on for about 30 minutes or so! It's funny how they don't have many cleansers or external treatments for Seborrheic Dermatitis AND Rosacea, or ONLY for Seborrheic dermatitis! Tetracyclines have always worked for me in the past, too!
topical azelaic acid, sulfur face wash or mask, topical metronidazol, low-dose oral isotretinoin(accutane), these can work well for people with seborrheic dermatitis AND rosacea
@@brenosantos3755 Hi Breno, Thanks for your feedback! I have tried Azelaic acid and it burns me, but I have also used oral tetracyclines and Accutane at different times, and they DO work! Been looking for a cure since 1987!
OMG! I was just literally thinking of searching for this topic and this appeared on my recommendation without me typing it! what a coincidence. Thanks for this wonderful, informative, and in-depth video regarding sal acid wash, Dr. Dray!
My sister would put the lathered salicylic soap on her face and leave it for 60 seconds, then rinse it off. leave face to dry for an hour, then lather up oil of olay soap and wash face with it. idk if shes using it properly but her face is very clear.
@Keekee Jenkins thank you! I might try the cetaphil one instead then. I always thought salicylic was for acne, didnt realize could also work for antiaging. So hard to keep dry skin at bay in my wiser years!
CeraVe smothing cleanser is good for tiny bumbs black head white head and pimples???i have Dry sensitive acni prone skin so I use CeraVe SA smothing cleanser 😢
The cetaphil gentle clear is weird consistency wise. I have to make sure my hands are dry before applying b/c the cleanser just gets mushed in between my fingers as opposed to spreading evenly on my face. I'm not sure if that makes sense 😅
It definitely does that but I just keep scooping up the drops from between my fingers and it will foam up on my face. Kind of annoying but it works so well and is so gentle it’s worth it to me. Their SA body wash doesn’t do that. I always wondered if that would work on the face but too chicken to try
Doc, I swear to God, you read minds!! I literally thought about this topic today, and wished a video for it lol thank you so much!! Have a great week ❤
Being told to avoid SA washes while on accutane (understandably) but accutane is flaring up my seb dermatitis and SA helps this (or certainly did before accutane) but derm nurse told me to just leave it to gentle cleanser and push through or I’ll cause irritation. Am I okay to try the SA cleanser as the SD is just too itchy and flaky at this point!
What do you think of these ceramide products without a clinical research backing ? Because the concentrations and formula needed to work can be costly. Over the counter ceramide products are gimmicky. Any thoughts? Other ingredients do play a role in creating a moisture barrier but not necessarily any ceramides.
Would you recommend one of these cleansers for rosacea? I'm a 51 year old female with some acne on the chin and other issues related to rosacea flare-ups. Thank you!

Cetaphil with SA facial cleanser is great and gentle for my older oilier skin. Been using gels with SA for many years for acne spots with great success
I’m using that in my shower currently I’m enjoying it so far
i thought sa cleanser was for dry skin?
That Cerave SA cleanser was brutal on my dry sensitive reactive skin. I have KP bumps on my neck and minor blemishes, so I thought this would help before shaving in the A.M, but it broke me out in an itchy red rash with extremely dry flaky skin. Took me a week to recover. I wasn't using any other treatment products apart from the Cerave hydrating lotion and IS clinical SPF 50.
The Cerave SA cleanser breaks out my chin in cystic acne. Nothing else does. Other Salycilic products are fine so it's something else in this specific formula.
I love Zapzyt salicylic acid cleanser. I tried it after I saw you using it. Gentle, effective and inexpensive.
Your hair and lipstick look so pretty today! Great video as always, I adore and appreciate you Dr Dray! ❤
Never seen such detailed and full of information on salicylic acid cleansers❤
Happy Monday, Dr. Dray and Friends! 🎊 Your advice to let the SA soap linger before rinsing has helped smooth my bumpy cheeks. I’ve been doing it for months now. Thanks for a great tip! ☮️💜
Happy Monday! Glad the tips have helped
How long do you let it linger?😊
@@keekeejenkins6162 Hi! I wait between 1 and 2 minutes before I rinse. It seems like a long time as you’re sitting there with cleanser on your face!😆 Another great tip is to rub the cleanser between your hands without making a frothy foam. It will resemble a cream - then apply to your face. After waiting, foam it up with water then rinse well. 😄☮️💜
@@barbowens8626 thank you
@@barbowens8626 helloo. What do you mean by after waiting? after applying the cleanser to the face? And how are you going to foam it with water? Is it like you're just going to wet your hands and foam it up in face?
I have Cetaphil body wash with salicylic acid 3%. I use it for my arms and back. I also use the Cetaphil acne face wash. It's nice
I love the Alba Botanica Acne Dote face wash. Used it for years and it's the only thing that works for me. It's gentle and refreshing.
How do you think it compares to the cetaphil gentle clear?
Can you do video on pH dependance of BHA’S & AHA’S effectiveness. How this impacted by other creams, other buffers on face. They are weak acids after all, so I assume they are typically a salt when applied. I could be wrong.
Rosacea-Which SA cleanser is best for people with rosacea?
Thanks so much Dr Dray!
Cetaphil gentle clear has been gentle enough for me but I used to only use it occasionally. I can do every other day now.
How long do you leave it on before washing it off?
I have a question about the cerave SA cleanser. Does yours have a smell to it? Mine kind of has like a chemical odor idk if thats how it should be
What an educational video. In just the first 10 seconds I learned how to correctly pronounce salicyclic
I use the CeraVe sa cleanser to wash my hair my dandruff is gone my scalp acne and within a couple of months my hair started growing
I’ve been using clearasil daily salicylic acid pads. They work great.
Is SA cerave face wash ok to use with rosacea? Does it help lighten the skin face tone? My face is always darker than the rest of my body.
I wanted to tell you Dr. Dray to go to the Dollar Tree because I saw a lot of lemon themed goodies today.. They had glasses, plates, kitchen towels with lemons.
When should you use the salicylic acid cleanser in the morning or night?
I started using CeraVe SA cleanser when I developed terrible maskne. It has helped to clear up my skin & also helps with bumps from outgrowing chin whiskers. A little bit goes a long way.
I follow with Timeless vitamin C serum.
I have been using the cerave SA cleanser for a few months now. I'm 63 and it helps with occasional small breakouts without irritation. It's also skin smoothing. I thankyou for this recommendation months ago. I never had acne, but sometimes get apimple or two now and then. Love your work. Thankyou.
I have a question about the cerave SA cleanser. Does yours have a smell to it? Mine kind of has like a chemical odor idk if thats how it should be
You took the mystery out of washes for me--TYVM! You are a treasure in my book.
So what is better for an itchy and flaky scalp?
Hyaluronic Acid or Salicylic Acid?
Thank you
The Cetaphil cleanser was for acne was the one I use last time it worked very well especially since I have dry skin it was one of the acne cleanser is that I found that didn’t try out my skin
What kind of body soap (also for eczema ) do you recommend? My son’s doctor recommended dove soap 16 years ago but I’m starting to think it’s not great for the family skin (and aging). We also use Aveeno everything.
Thanks for telling how it works with using actives after washing the face with an SA cleanser
I use the Cereve SA cleanser when I wash my face in the shower so that way I make sure it rinses off well. Good video. 👍
Thanks for watching
I am 50 yr old lady plz guide which five products of CeraVe should I buy including face wash ' moisturizer' night cream ' any anti-aging etc ( my skin is slightly dry but few wrinkles) for my daily routine. thanks
So can I use this before applying differin or epiduo? In the past you've mentioned salicylic acid can inactivate the differin.
Phenomenal video! It’s super helpful. Thanks for sharing. 🙌
Leaving it on for a couple of minutes might be a game changer for me because I rinse it off right away.
Hi Dr Dray, thanks for the video! Just a quick question, I’m aware that chemical peels can be effective in reversing the physical signs of skin aging, but are they a beneficial preventative method?
They won’t stop the clock, but when paired with sun protection they can help remove sun damage as it accumulates
Do you think it will be ok if I use both a SA cleanser for my face and an SA bar for skin? What is the likelihood of getting that poisoning?
@@brenosantos3755 Azelaic acid is something that I have used in the past and it irritated my skin pretty badly!
I use SA facial cleanser on my back daily as a wash to control my acne, should I be concerned about toxicity? Love your videos!
OMG! I was just literally thinking of searching for this topic and this appeared on my recommendation without me typing it! what a coincidence. Thanks for this wonderful, informative, and in-depth video regarding sal acid wash, Dr. Dray!
same... she must have telepathy skills ^^
Same too 😂
Hi Dr Dray, I used Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser and it made my acne redder and more prominent. Is that normal purging or breaking out?
Purging, stick with it and your skin should improve
Salicylic acid facewash + niacinamide serum+ vitamin c moisturizer is good combo?
What kind of cleanser is okay to use around your eye to remove makeup?
A video on which skin care products are eco friendly, and use eco friendly packaging would be awesome. Maybe even what is going to be best for men.
My sister would put the lathered salicylic soap on her face and leave it for 60 seconds, then rinse it off. leave face to dry for an hour, then lather up oil of olay soap and wash face with it. idk if shes using it properly but her face is very clear.
What about salicylic acid cleanser with vitamin c serum
So are we supposed to use salicylic face wash to get rid of eye wrinkles?
Dr Dray should salicylic face wash be used with mature, extremely dry, sensitive skin? I am irritated with most acids, vitamin c, etc. Thank you!
Will vary from person to person.
Thank you, I will give the cerave a try, just infrequently. Have learned so much from you!
The cetaphil she mentioned is a gentle cream base, doesn't dry my skin at all, it's just awkward application-wise
@Keekee Jenkins thank you! I might try the cetaphil one instead then. I always thought salicylic was for acne, didnt realize could also work for antiaging. So hard to keep dry skin at bay in my wiser years!
@@321morlan4 same! I'm thinking in the 90s in junior high I used the neutrogena one it dried the heck out of my skin so I stayed away from SA
Hi what do you think about Neutrogena 2percent salicylic pads? I use those.
Use cerave smoothing cleanser which is European version and also Panah labs encapsulated salicylic acid . Both are gentle SA
CeraVe smothing cleanser is good for tiny bumbs black head white head and pimples???i have Dry sensitive acni prone skin so I use CeraVe SA smothing cleanser 😢
What’s the best cleanser for mature comb/oily skin?
The cetaphil gentle clear is weird consistency wise. I have to make sure my hands are dry before applying b/c the cleanser just gets mushed in between my fingers as opposed to spreading evenly on my face. I'm not sure if that makes sense 😅
Makes sense to me!☺️
It definitely does that but I just keep scooping up the drops from between my fingers and it will foam up on my face. Kind of annoying but it works so well and is so gentle it’s worth it to me. Their SA body wash doesn’t do that. I always wondered if that would work on the face but too chicken to try
I’ve tried almost every single SA face wash except Skinfix cream cleanser, omg that CLEARED ME UP and it’s so gentle 😭 cetaphil has a dupe of it too.
Can I use cerave renewing SA cleanser with the ordinary alpha arbutin serum?????
Skin type oily in summers
Normal in winters
Eucerin Pro Acne Solution Cleansing Gel is a good gentle salicylic face wash option too
Thank you! So helpful. Can you please include in your videos whether ingredients and products are safe to use when pregnant and/or breastfeeding?
Best SA product that we can rub in if we have a beard?
Hello, Dr. Dray
Good day!
can i use cerave renewing SA cleanser Daily 2 times? have 3-4 active acne. would you please tell me?
how about cerave vs cetaphile? are they the same thing or different
Should I get the Peach Slices or the Cera Ve Acne Cleanser? I have closed comedones and some blackheads on my nose.
Doc, I swear to God, you read minds!! I literally thought about this topic today, and wished a video for it lol thank you so much!! Have a great week ❤
Thanks for watching
I swear I went to search this exact info and - behold! Dr. Dray IS a mind reader lol
I thought accutane was discontinued
@@Jooo923 in the US yes. I’m not in the US
Have you rated the HARUHARU brand skincare?
CeraVe acne control cleanser is my absolute favorite face wash ever
Ok. What is good for large pours
Can i use this cleanser with tretinoit
I love the Cerave SA. It burned my eyelids, but now just careful to avoid them when I wash my face.
I have a question about the cerave SA cleanser. Does yours have a smell to it? Mine kind of has like a chemical odor idk if thats how it should be
What do you think of these ceramide products without a clinical research backing ? Because the concentrations and formula needed to work can be costly. Over the counter ceramide products are gimmicky. Any thoughts? Other ingredients do play a role in creating a moisture barrier but not necessarily any ceramides.
I use SA face wash from clear & clean acne clearing facewash, the ingriedient is really fine and its only $2 for 100ml
Would you recommend one of these cleansers for rosacea? I'm a 51 year old female with some acne on the chin and other issues related to rosacea flare-ups. Thank you!
So if I have oily skin the best option would be 2% salycilic acid?
If you had to pick benzoyl peroxide face wash versus a salicylic acid dash wash for hormonal acne, which would you choose?
Neither target the hormonal component of acne, so the choice is a matter of the individual and what their skin tolerates
Thank you. I add some to my shampoo for self diagnosed seborrheic dermatitis. Thoughts?
Can I use a salycilic acid toner on my face during the day and tret at night? As I still have whitehead and blackheads
Can you use a sa cleanser then a vitamin C serum?
Is it okay to use salicylic acid face wash while on accutane?
