    Excited to see a 100k to 150k video and maybe a 50k to 100k sports car video too, awesome tier list

      That'll be our next tier list video, but with the large total number vehicles, that will probably be in two parts.

    Great great video! The 458 owners have solved the electrical issues by going to the lithium Anti Gravity battery. It’s all over the 458 fb group.

    Just watched the whole thing and couldn’t agree more, at least in terms of the cars I’ve owned. Mind you, I daily them.
    My first exotic was the McLaren GT which almost is the exact spec you showed. I loved that car because of the visibility but the rattles drove me insane. I missed the hell out of the doors and the front fascia was a bit underplayed to my liking.
    I ended up trading it in for a 610-2 which was ultimately one of my favorite cars I’ve ever owned. It was so fun. So exotic. Sounded amazing but holy hell was it squirrelly. Incredibly reliable vehicle but terrifying to drive fast. Didn’t handle nearly as well as the McLaren GT if I’m being honest and driving it hard was genuinely a hazard.
    From my brief experience driving the 750 and 720, the interior on the 750 is way better but it seems a little less robust than the 720. In terms of speed, the 720 is terrifying fast. So much so that I actually was a bit scared for my life sitting in the passenger seat, but at the same time it’s incredibly capable. The breaking was UNREAL and when the turbo hits you feel like at any moment you could lose your life 😂.
    I’m leaning towards a 720 for the next car with a fat ass exhaust but also considering the iconic 458 as it seems to be holding value incredibly well. The only downside is I drive my cars A LOT.

      The McLaren 720S are very underrated and underappreciated in today's market. Will touch base on the 750S soon in a higher price point tier list.

    Excellent breakdown. I predict your channel will get a lot bigger if you keep making content like this

    The C8 Z06 took everything the 458 did and one upped it and you can get a brand new z06 for less than a 10 year old 458. How in the world does the 458 get ranked higher???

    • @motorenn

      Thanks for the comment!
      Primarily because resale values for Z06s historically depreciate a bit and do not end up appreciating with the ZR1 taking the halo "collector's" car slot for Corvette. The new ZR1 would likely make it into S Tier in a future lineup, but I would need to get my hands on one to evaluate.
      This is also my view on it. I'd rather take a 458 out on a drive than the C8 Z06 - there's a bit more romance with taking a red 458 spider on an early morning canyon drive and then stopping at a nice brunch place. But some of my colleagues do have a differing opinion and would justifiably place it higher.

      @motorenn Thanks for the reply!
      I've never been in a 458 but do own a C8 Z06 so I may be biased in my opinion but I have done allot of research before I made my purchase a month ago.
      For me it came down to the Z06 being way newer, having a warranty, sounding just as good, better overall performance and cheaper to get parts for. Yes the Z06 will depreciate more than a ZR1 but don't know if it will depreciate much more than a 458 already has and possibly still will considering how far F430s and 360s have come down. A big variable on the C8 Z06 holding value will be on what happens with the C9. The C8 Z06 may be the last high horsepower NA V8 ever made. If that ends up being the case it will definitely hold value long term. Even the C7 Z06 has held its value pretty well. I traded in a C7 Grand Sport and got only $8k less than what I paid 5 years earlier for it when I bought it new in 2019.
      I would love to experience a 458 though to see if it can change my mind. I doubt it though especially since it still cost more.

    Curious where the Hellcat Redeye numbers came from? Seems like they’re in the 60-80k range all day

    No NSX?

    • @motorenn
      @motorenn  3 дні тому +5

      Appreciate the comment! Just realized we overlooked the Acura NSX Type S. With only a modest improvement over the NSX and current pricing in line with the 992 911 GT3, it feels like the market price is a bit overrated. However, with only 350 some units made, the rarity and Acura's loyal fanbase is likely to keep values up. Would have put it somewhere at the bottom third of B Tier.
      Otherwise, we're seeing both the old (facelift with low mileage) and new NSX generally selling in the $100-$150k range, so will have both in an upcoming tier list.

    Have a 2011 low mileage R8 v10 manual, hopefully the value will slowly increase with the manuals disappearing.

      Meant to have that included as well. We had a couple of these in the 2011-2014 range and they are an experience for sure. Value has held up very well. Solidly A Tier.

    As a current owner of a 992 Turbo S and a C8 Z06 and a prior owner of GT 3s and GT 4s I found this commentary so accurate and helpful. I have flirted with Ferrari, McLaren and Lamborghini ownership but I will stick to my easy to live with street only cars, maybe a new ZR 1 for fun.
