Was thinking about buying a new 750 S but you have me thinking about a 720 instead. Don’t have to wait for the lead time and also less money. You gave me the itch to get a 458 to replace the one I let go. My 2020 F8 and its turbocharged engine With muted exhaust note doesn’t scratch the itch anymore. Miss the naturally aspirated v8. Great content. Thanks.
'McLarens are hanger maidens' That's a bit of a sweeping statement. People on the internet love to bash them, I'm wondering if you have had first hand experience? Now, the dealer network?..... That's another thing entirely.
Nice video with helpfull info bought giallo 458 22K kilometers full Carbon int and goldrake seats in Germany for 200k € with 24 months Power Warranty i hope. Now on dutch plates for 9300€ tax in the Netherlands.
Absolutely love it!!! I'll have to be financially stable in every sense before purchasing my first supercar. The best thing to do with your money is to invest rightly because money left saving will end up with no returns
Prioritizing effective personal finance management holds greater significance than the sheer amount saved, irrespective of income source. Consulting a certified financial advisor can offer tailored strategies to optimize financial results by reducing expenses and enhancing income, regardless of whether it's earned through employment or investments.
Absolutely, It's not just about owning a beautiful car but also understanding the market trends. Consulting a car investment specialist or a financial advisor with expertise in alternative investments can help navigate the complexities and ensure you make informed decisions.
No doubt being financially free and able to afford these luxuries cannot be overemphasized, making smart plans and setting up diversified investment portfolios is quite essential.
Most people miss it but the secret to retiring comfortably is finding a way to make returns while your money works for you. My Dad, as i remember started saving for retirement quite late but I know he was making more than 10k returns from his investments monthly and it was completely passive.
Please could you guide me on how to get in touch with your consultant? My funds are being eroded by inflation and seek a more lucrative investment strategy to effectively utilize before I consider retirement.
Unless your going to garage it for value purchase...if you want fun per dollar test...Go for A Zo6 or a CT5 Blackwing...Cost WAY WAY less than a supercar...but for supercar performance, engagement, sound...pinnacle of ICE cars. This is true for the USA, considering repair costs....remember...Fun per dollar! :)
While I agree there's value in the ZO6 for example, the American muscle just doesn't move the soul, and in most respects, isn't limited in production and frankly it's shoddy build quality at best. Ferrari on the other hand, you're getting limited production, which is everything when it comes to preserving value, and their are few Ferraris that don't just make everyone drool, they're pieces of art work. Yes, expensive to maintain/repair but you shouldn't be shopping the space unless you can afford to set fire to that money.

There’s ups and downs, life is too short. You would have lost a likely fantastic two years enjoying the car if you’d waited until now, hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I'm in process of looking at gen 1 V10 R8s and I can tell you even the gen 1 V10 plus are no where near that cheap here in the US. Your figure I think was around 88,90k US.. here the V10 Plus (gen 2) are still 140-180k US. Im looking at Gen 1 non plus in the 80-90k US range. Wish they were so cheap here jeez.
For approx 210K +/- 30K, What is your opinion on either a Ferrari 296 GTB or a Huracan Performante Spyder, also the future prices of these. or Would you have another Supercar in mind. Thanks
Having spent the day driving a performante and having driven a 296 on road and track, without a shadow of a doubt in my mind I am choosing the 296 every day of the week and twice on Sunday. It is a better car in every measurable way. The only thing I would be weary of is the further depreciation the 296 will likely face (although used examples have suffered a considerable chunk already) and also the longevity of the hybrid system and how Ferrari warranty may or may not protect you from hybrid related issues that may arise - depending on how long you are planning to keep the car. A big plus is of course that you will get years of free servicing with any 296 you buy. It’s probably the best supercar you can buy that’s in the smudge over 200k category. But of course, do your own research😃
I love how you’re still actively replying to comments. Couple questions for you. I’m in Canada and a nice 2018 720s, full carbon 1-2-3, Memphis red just came on the market for $255k CAD with 22,000km. Should I continue to wait? Every month I’ve been looking, everything seems to be continuing to drop. Also second question, I’m looking for amazing thrill with least depreciation, would you recommend 720 or 488 or 458 or F8. Every video I see people say out of these cars the 720 is by far the most adrenaline filled experience, but the Ferrari gives you the prestige. Which one are you picking? Also McLaren in Canada will give full warranty for $7000 so reliability im not worried about.
Hey thanks for engaging...720 for the thrills for sure but 458 for value retention, brand prestige and engagement...you simply cannot beat the 458 for reliability, NA sound, engagement and looks. Its mad how the car market was so high in the first place, The cars are now at reasonable price!!! I have to agree with the top 5, especially with the 720s!! Great video as always 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great content but one Mayor observación, when talk about cars make sure you put different pics at full screen size and leave the pics as you describe and talk about them
Thank you for your feedback. The key was for us to provide evidence of the market values that I was discussing which is why we provided the screen layout in the way we did.
@@RichReviews_ yeah but I want to have the describe vehicle in full screen form standing and different angles like if your audience can see themselves driving it
The sheer amount of stock out there means that there are many many 720s etc. out there to be sold! I worry more about the dealers holding them on their books.
There will be a small bounce in Spring. But zoom out…look at the macro picture. Supply glut, high interest rates and QT combined with seriously overpriced new and used cars. Add to that the collapse in trade prices last year which has only been ~50% reflected in retail, and prices have a long way to fall.
In the States, we are seeing a slight softening, but winter is never a time for sports car selling. The Jan Auctions (BJackson, all) had record sales so this is in contrast to the numerous videos out there. I’ll wager continued softening but not an ALL CAPS CRASH or other click bait….
The Top 5 was not based on reliability. From knowledge, there were 720s that had issues but not known the percentage of cars with issues against the volume built.
Being the last non-hybrid V12 Lamborghini prices will rally and ultimately hold/increase. Which model are you interested in…SV would be my recommendation though SVJ will likely be a better financial choice.
@@RichReviews_ Honestly i’d be happy with anything, I probably wont even be able to get an S but i’d be happy with a facelift standard aventador, just want that raw gearchange and violent sound.
@@RichReviews_ UK, £180k is ideally my max limit and that can only be achieved by saving for a few more years, currently the facelift standard aventadors range from £165-£190k the S is about £210k+
Your prices are cheaper than US. The 720s is still 200 to 220 US. If I can score one and timing is tight I’ll pick one up but they need to come down more 🤣🤣
My current favourite is Giallo Triple Strato with Modena a close second. We had a 458 coloured in Modena on our European tour trip last year...looked awesome...Take a look at our video coverage if you have't already.
Supercars are not purely defined by performance...For example, by your guide the Miura/Dino and Countach would not be considered Supercars now because many hot hatches can outperform them...Yet of course they definitely are!
@@RichReviews_ I never said that’s the only factor. I would just be curious as to what factor disqualifies the z06 as a supercar. It’s a mass produced car but only 10k units are out in the world right now. It has the performance on track and straight line. Has the super car looks and sound with mid engine, flat plane crank v8 comparable to a 458 but louder and also the highest hp NA vehicle in the world.
TBH I have always thought them either overpriced or miss-sold. They have pretty much hypercar performance and in a way should have been marketed as such by Ferrari but within the sector that they were released, they were over-priced and were always going to fall in value.
@RichReviews_ So what is the best performance and quality supercar for 500k or less according to u? I mean I don't want to reseller a car or holding it, I just want to drive it. I also saw a lamborghini svj roadster for 650k 2020 (300km). Just want a fast, quick and quality supercar and I know u will say 911 turbo s😂
Because the M8 and M5 are both front engined four seater coupes. An R8 is mid engined with an exotic V10, two seater, low slung, striking looks etc etc. it’s not all about performance - far from it. I’m sure you’d consider an F40 a supercar, yet the M5 and M8 are still much faster.
I will always argue the 458 was a better car than the 488 except in looks (and that's personal taste). The exhaust note of the 458 sounds ALIVE and the 488 sounds like a college student 5 days away from graduation who has almost completely stopped caring.
Koenigsegg are not the normal run of the mill Supercar with some perceiving them as Hypercars. None the less, they are commonly outside financial market influences being in the sector of cars owned by the very wealthy.
Used cars in the UK are so cheap!! On one hand you are so lucky to have great cars at lower prices than elsewhere around the world, but it also begs the question - why would anyone buy new in the UK?!?!
Some want the new car experience from buying with a dealership. I guess depends how much you are willing to pay for that new car experience with the various new car dealership benefits like warranty and service packs but you can usually buy these separately.
@@RichReviews_ Making the UK market even more interesting is that your new cars are also much cheaper to lease than in Australia (I have did a comparison after watching the Harry's Garage video on his new RR Sport and the Aus lease costs are approx 3x higher, when converting GBP to AUD). Logic would say that if a new car depreciates faster, the lease costs should be higher (to cover the higher depreciation). But that is not the case. Very strange indeed. So your new cars are cheaper for 'new car buyers' and also cheaper for 'used car buyers'. Another reason why UK car buyers are very lucky.
Where is everyone finding these deals? I’ve gotten click baited so many times trying to do some research and get the insight for getting into a super car. Specifically and R8. But it’s always vids from Europeans or the UK. Let me tell you…these prices are NOT reflective in the US market. Total bummer.
yeahhhh if you look at U.S.A. prices they are not matching at all to your countries prices. I might just purchase out of country and ship it to USA since its so much cheaper lol
Absolutely unbelievable the Ferrari pizza was supposed to be limited edition and they just made at least three times more than they should have This is typical of Ferrari the prices of Ferraris are collapsing please don't advise people to be buying Ferraris at this time of the cycle .
The 570S isn't a "usable" supercar. They all get sold precisely because they aren't. On Corsas in UK never ending wet weather, having 600bhp going through the rears is an accident waiting to happen. Plus they really require a garage becusee the corrode and let water into the engine and of course they need to be fully charged at all times. They work well out of California and Florida mansions. In sh1tty little England..? Not so much. Oh, and these cars can require £20,000 repair bills to get them right. Tread incredibly carefully with McLarens. Warranty (c. £4k) is a must for gearbox issues, alone. These cars need to be closer to £50k if being sold with some crappy dealer warranty that simply do not cover DCT issues. The DCT is really a growing concern for the used market as repair or replacement is complex, specialist and often requires parts that dealers aren't keen to supply / don't come individually (458 sensors, for eg..). Definitely interesting times ahead..

Supply glut, high interest rates and QT combined with seriously overpriced new and used cars.
Add to that the collapse in trade prices last year which has only been ~50% reflected in retail, and prices have a long way to fall.
I believe in the U.K. It mostly depends on interest rates.
@@RichReviews_ I agree that is the biggest factor. Thanks for the video!
You’re welcome
In the States, we are seeing a slight softening, but winter is never a time for sports car selling. The Jan Auctions (BJackson, all) had record sales so this is in contrast to the numerous videos out there. I’ll wager continued softening but not an ALL CAPS CRASH or other click bait….
A 488 pista in Australia is 900k to 1million. 😮 crazy differences
Wow that is astronomical increase.
loved this thank you for making the video!
Thank you...glad you enjoyed the video.
Great content, Ty!
Thank you…Glad you enjoyed it!
At the upper end of the exotic car market prices don’t tend to fall- the rich are not affected by recession etc
Agree
Only in the UK, not always in other countries.
Yes this was for the UK market not US.
Nothing like this in Germany. Obviously the economic downturn hasn‘t hit hard enough… 😏
Honda NSX NA1/2 should be well before any Audi R8 for future residuals, but agree the McL 720s wins as market stands 👍
The Top 5 is based on the current car market not potential growth. Though we may cover off potential investment cars in the future.
you think the 720s is reliable? i am looking to buy my first supercar
The Top 5 was not based on reliability. From knowledge, there were 720s that had issues but not known the percentage of cars with issues against the volume built.
Can we get an updated please? Awesome video
Great choices thx
Welcome
If I could get a 720s for those prices in the US I’d take one immediately. Supercars are way cheaper in the UK.
? The 570s is at 189.000€ right now… btw. We’re are you taking this prices from?
U.K. market and obviously relative to the period the video was filmed. The market is very dynamic in the U.K.
Good news princess are slightly down bad news is interest rates are all time high
Jaguar F-type R
With light upgrades, you have 650-700hp. SO fuking sweet!
Whats your thoughts on aventador prices? Im desperate to get one but theyre still a few years out of reach, id be able to stretch to 190k for one
Where are you located, in US? The single plate clutch gearbox and the width may be a bit of a nightmare if on narrow roads.
@@RichReviews_ UK, £180k is ideally my max limit and that can only be achieved by saving for a few more years, currently the facelift standard aventadors range from £165-£190k the S is about £210k+
Great vid! I do miss Koenigsegg!
Thank you.
McLaren 570 S in the US is starting at 130,000 USD... Is there any way to purchase this from the Uk and have them shipped to the US L O L.
Errr…not financially viable. 😆
I have a 991.2 gt3. But I’d sure like a Ferrari. I’m think 488 pista
Btw I think the GT3RS is just too much for the road
IMO GT3 is a better road car.
Still have to pay over the top for service and parts
Maintaining any car costs and the more special the car the more it costs.
Aren’t 90% of supercars always half off? But require 100% of the maintenance. 😅
Used to be then all went crazy during Covid and now we are down the other side.
458's in the US are still about 180k and up.
Wow
I think the downturn will continue, less money in ppls bank accounts today vs a year ago. I want to see the 720s come down to $160k
Nice one Rich, i finally found myself a Ferrari 430 Scuderia what do you think about them are they a long term good investment?
Did you watch my review on the Scuderia?
A Ferrari 458 Italia is around $240,000 in the USA.
Wow, that's around $60k more than the uk on average
Your prices are cheaper than US. The 720s is still 200 to 220 US. If I can score one and timing is tight I’ll pick one up but they need to come down more 🤣🤣
Giallo Modena the one and only original Ferrari color ✌🏼
My current favourite is Giallo Triple Strato with Modena a close second.
We had a 458 coloured in Modena on our European tour trip last year...looked awesome...Take a look at our video coverage if you have't already.
Me watching this very serious... my account 10 euros
What about the c8 z06? Compares to all this car and not to mention you can buy this car brand new at the same price.
C8 not really classed as a true Supercar.
@@RichReviews_ I beg to differ it will out do a huracan on track and quarter mile.
C8 Z06 still sells for over sticker…. No deals till 2026-2027
What do u think about sf90 spider? I can get new(2024) for 509k
@@RichReviews_ I just saw ur Lotus Emira is that a good car for that price?
Great video 👌, what are your thoughts on the Merc AMG GTR now being sub £80k for some examples?
Once again great value. We may cover GT car values in a future video.
?? Our German car market with supercars goes up right now… my McLaren was going up 50k in the last three years
the prices are more than double this in Australia. So annoying
Incredible
Don’t worry, they’ll start to fall soon. It’s a global car market and other RHD markets like the UK are already in free fall.
@@cp4512nope, you're talking out your arse, cars are cheaper in the UK because of the side of the steering wheel
@@marvou6811 🤣🤣🤣 oh dear.
How can you say the 570s doesn’t have crazy performance?🤣
It's useable on the road though.... if you like prison.
How is the Audi r8 considered a super car but the faster and better looking m8 comp
Or the m5 CS
Because the M8 and M5 are both front engined four seater coupes. An R8 is mid engined with an exotic V10, two seater, low slung, striking looks etc etc. it’s not all about performance - far from it. I’m sure you’d consider an F40 a supercar, yet the M5 and M8 are still much faster.
@@RichReviews_ sooo and Austin Martin DBS not a super car ?
Correct, it’s a GT car.
No, phenomenal classic dream car it may be but not a Supercar.
I will always argue the 458 was a better car than the 488 except in looks (and that's personal taste). The exhaust note of the 458 sounds ALIVE and the 488 sounds like a college student 5 days away from graduation who has almost completely stopped caring.
I'd argue the 458 looks better than the 488 from all angles especially the rear haunches (side and three quarters view) and the front.
720s is a nightmare with maintenance tho
How so?
I've had a 650s, 488, and now a 720s with 0 issues. I've had more issues with my Chevy.
I hope the price will not go down in meanth.
The ferrari California is another choice
Not a supercar.
@@RichReviews_ Ok...
I can't believe a Koenigsegg did not make the list.
Koenigsegg are not the normal run of the mill Supercar with some perceiving them as Hypercars. None the less, they are commonly outside financial market influences being in the sector of cars owned by the very wealthy.
What’s the best starter supercar of all time?
Not sure what you are asking here?
Corvette ZO6
Not a supercar
@@RichReviews_ what’s the best starter supercar in your opinion of all time
@@RichReviews_ If C8 z06 is not a super car, what is your standard judgement to consider a car is super car or not?
It’s said that a McLaren is the best car under 5k miles after that it could be a mechanical nightmare.
The 458 has never and is still not under $150K in the US.
458 still holding strong in the UK...people love the 458 and for good reason.
Aston Martin
yep its like ........was 1.5 million now 1 million. or was 300,000 used now 210,000 usd
Context? What are you relating to?
I would never sell my 720 and my GT3s.
My first GT3( only one i sold) i drove for 9 years and sold it for 3 times of its original value)
Love the GT3…trying to get access to a 720 and 675
@@RichReviews_ A 720 you will never regrette when you know how to drive .
A GT3 you will never regrette when you are a driver😉
@Mister_Grey_ I must get one to review. 👍🏻
@@RichReviews_ yallah❤️
Where is everyone finding these deals? I’ve gotten click baited so many times trying to do some research and get the insight for getting into a super car. Specifically and R8. But it’s always vids from Europeans or the UK. Let me tell you…these prices are NOT reflective in the US market. Total bummer.
Yes the US market is a lot more buoyant than the U.K.
where is he finding these deals???? I can only find prices 40k higher than what I am seeing.
Public domain in the U.K…easy to search out.
Wait until you take these used cars to the maintenance and end up with more than 5gran bills.
For sure you have to be careful what you buy and perform due diligence.
Funny but there is no 5.2. from 2016 with 610 HP…
McLaren if i had the money.
I think you are assuming that all these cars have the same depreciation/appreciation vs time profile.
No not at all.
yeahhhh if you look at U.S.A. prices they are not matching at all to your countries prices. I might just purchase out of country and ship it to USA since its so much cheaper lol
Obvs then devalued due to being an import and likely steering on wrong side. 😆
I can't sell my 458. I think about lowering the price.
Where are you based and what is the colour spec? These cars are very colour spec dependant for resale.
Stick with my C8
Who needs a pension? :) I would love a McLaren 720S, but fear I would kill myself with that performance.
Hey Andrew…
Probably…but what a way to go! 😂
what about the OG Aventador?
Irrespective of the initial costs, maintaining an Aventador would not fit with the affordable nature of the video.
@@RichReviews_ why not are they not reliable. tbh I have heard about a lot more reliability issues with Mclarens than with Lambos
They all went up too much so the decline is simply a correction
Partly true but we have gone from a false bubble to an economy downturn
@@RichReviews_ Agree entirely. Can’t believe how many very low mileage Emiras are for Sal at £10-15 thousand below list
4 more years til I’m done paying my ex an aventadors worth of a car payment in child support. Counting down.
Good luck
#1 should be Maserati MC 20
Why? What's your reasons?
“Being an Audi the running cost will be a lot cheaper then the other super cars brands”. 😂
It’s all relative.
NOT APPLICABLE IN THE USA
Correct, the US car market is buoyant when compared to the current UK market.

I bought a SF90 from some poor bloke who wife was going to leave him if he didn’t get rid of the car. 60% off stickers
Wow you lucked out big time!
Luxury products tend not to dip as much.
Depends which category of luxury product.
Absolutely unbelievable the Ferrari pizza was supposed to be limited edition and they just made at least three times more than they should have This is typical of Ferrari the prices of Ferraris are collapsing please don't advise people to be buying Ferraris at this time of the cycle .
The Pista was never limited in numbers only in production run.
UK prices can't be taken serious unfortunately
Please explain?
can't buy em, can't run em.........nice to look at though
Why?
You have first hand evidence of this?
