I love estate sales, too. But, you really have to look to find the deals, that first sure!
Thank you for the kind words. They are genuinely appreciated

Greetings, my fellow brother reseller! Just found your channel; it came thru on their suggestions. And am I glad it did. It was the recent “10 Things…” installment in your series. Then I scrolled all the way to see what all content you have amassed. Watched your very first episode, and my ears moved forward 1” when I heard you mention “central Texas”!! Watched that to the end, then the one about finding the scraps left by all the others who had come before you. ( I have a “name” for that ethos we share, but will save it for another time). Anyway, since this is my first communication w/ you I’ll truncate my part of the convo and cut to the chase. I wanted to hear you say where y’all live in a video) w/o having to ask. I’ve been told I’m too analytical. It’s my nature, how God made me. So, 3rd video, this one, you start by walking into the Penelope P.O. You, sir, are 75 miles from my wife & me! Copperas Cove. Just thought you’d get a kick out of that.

I started my teaching career in Temple. So, I was a lot closer to you then. :-) I really appreciate the kind words.

Yeah, I would have been glad to find one. But that was a retail price. I don't think I could get much more.

Looks like my white van in the drive way. I am excited to join you & post some stuff on eBay. We have 2 pair of military flight pants that match the jacket you had in a previous video. So far I’ve only sold my college books but that was Amazon.

If I can help, let me know. If the tags are still in the flight pants, I can help you date them.

Thanks Scott! Those prices seem rather high, even if you weren’t a reseller.

Yeah. Every estate sale is different. I get into so many private sales now, and those are my favorite

I thought the prices were very high, but oh the hunt must have been a blast. So much stuff. That's why I am starting to get rid of things. No one in either of our families would want a lot of the stuff we have. I think they are waiting for cash, lol. Keep waiting kiddos. There's money in the bear bank, on the dresser. Could be $25! We can put five more in, so they can each get $10.

That military stitchery is called crewel, no cross stitch.

I wasn't sure anyone would like this format. So, your feedback is really appreciated.

Can you add your listing to the things you keep in upcoming videos? Thank you for your content and videos!! I am learning so much 😃

They had a lot of ambitious prices for sure! That’s usually the difference with an estate company ran sale versus a family ran estate sale. I believe in the long run estate sale companies hurt the families ability to make money because if you’re selling the entirety of the house you want quantity sales. Not prices that are so high that you have more than half the house contents left after it’s over.

I completely agree. You don't do the family any favors by pricing things too high and having a ton of stuff to deal with when it's over, either.

Love the sweaters! The baskets are high quality but most of them are not worth reselling unless you get them at a low price. Catching up on all your videos this week.

The baskets looked cool and I was glad to finally find some in person. But, like you said, just not worth quite enough to resell.

Absolutely love the hunt but estate sales are tough if you go on the day they open. I like to wait until Sunday but by then the best stuff is usually gone. Keep grinding the by owner sales during the warmer months! Keep up the great work!!!

Very true. I am not a be-there-at-the-crack-of-dawn kind of guy, either. I let it calm down normally. I'm looking for the stuff other people pass up any way.

When you bring these vintage clothing pieces home, do you wash them? And do you leave them on hangers until they sell? I saw the video of your work space and it seemed that everything went into a plastic bag and into a bin? I sell a lot of vintage clothing also and I’m leaving most of it hung up until it sells but that it’s not most advantageous for my space.

We clean everything that needs it. If I buy something out of a closet that seems clean, we won't wash it. After we photograph it and list it, we do out it in a ziplock and label it. It takes a little bit of time but makes shipping a breeze.
