the upmost honest & complete review i've seen so far 👍 i just can't wait for those LDs to end and get my hands on some wood again, it's quite depressing when your pinball setup is a TV laying flat on the kitchen table 🙄
Thanks for the video. Personally, I would wait to see what the potential of this machine will be once third party software will run on it like VPX and Future Pinball. This currently runs Farsight's Pinball Arcade and, although great 10 years ago, it just doesn't cut it nowadays especially comparing it to Zen's Williams pinball software in terms of realistic physics. To be continued...
Great review, man. We are blessed with so many options these days... but I wish they would get it perfect though, like with the vibration sound and the plunger not quite perfect, I wish they would have fixed those things before putting it on sale.
Thanks and I hope for a follow up on this. Would love to see a PC connected to it running more tables. I assume the HDMI input is only going to provide video on the playfield monitor? I would also like to see what tables they offer through the menu system in the future. This has potential to be a great starter VP table, I just hope they refine it a bit more. While I would love a 4K setup, the lack of available hardware and my lack of tools and time to build my own does make this very tempting at this price. Let's just hope they can keep up with demand.
It's not an plug and play solution for the VPX software only it's possible. I need a converter for the second monitor then I can add a pc to this machine. Maybe in the future they release a kit for this so you can always swap between Atgames and your pc. It would bring this machine to the next lvl.. because buying it with a pc is cheaper and easier than building a machine out of scratch for most people.
I think where they've put the hdmi input and the other sockets are in a compromising location. Surely the leads would be in the way? Or am I missing something? So agree with you Doug, I'd really appreciate some follow up vids on this cab. I haven't ordered one but I am so tempted. There are only two or three of TPA tables I like so I'd need to know what other vpins might be compatible. I've heard a whisper that Zaccaria Pinball will be accessable on Legends? If you see this @WickedGamer, thanks for posting it really helps.
@@WickedGamerCollector I preordered this machine so I can add my pc to play all my fx3 tables I have. My plan is to use my 8 inch monitor and mount it between the speakers for the DMD. I can't wait!!
I agree with you time !, time to re-encode the matrix so coolshop haves them on stock. So people can buy and enjoy them some VP in the Matrix we live in ... Whahaha sorry needed to do this... Agent Smith 🤣
Hey matey. Is there anywhere you know of that I can buy a dirt cheap virtual cabinet or DIY flat pack one from that ships international to Australia at a reasonable rate? Been looking for a while and mostly the shipping costs just as much as the product itself if not more. Any advice always welcome. Cheers
the static ball that doesnt rotate or have lighting effects needs to be fixed. looks like its the static ball image from the android versions of those games. they should have used what they put in the switch versions.
Love your channel. What on earth do you do with all that stuff from China - big garage? I would love to hear how you think this compares to a top Sharpin. I know they are very different but if you want to buy something in the EU for under 1000 euros there are not many options. Where would you put your money? Hope to hear your views😀.
Hi Wicked Gamer. Love your videos. Where did you get your Pinball Legends and shipped to Holland? How must did it cost including shipping? Alvast bedankt.
Great commentary... I have only 1 Vpin so far but I'm planning on selling my 3 arcade games to get another Pinball machine this time HD instead of 720p like the marvel vein I have now... Until that happens I'm looking for a way to Mos if possible the Marvel pinball. Do you think there are a few things I can do to improve the Marvel pinball ... Also what would be the pinball machines that you would suggest for me that has the bells and whistles I'm looking for... Clear pix and colors...All of the vibration and real feel of real pinball.. I can stand a few more dollars in price than the Marvel cost I just don't want to be ridiculous in price since this is only for my garage/cave / bar... Thanks looking forward to your suggestions if you have any.
HI Wicked what universal table settings are you using to get the best overall play experience? What mods will you be doing to your Legends Ultimate Pinball? Thanks for the great content!
I put the mini sub motor on Low otherwise it go's crazy. The sensor I hate it and put it on 0.22 to that we don't have a conflict. Most tables will be on 100 volume ... sometimes 80. Sound go's loud only yeah 2x 5 watt speakers... 🤣 Edit - Maybe a pc upgrade if I can get the parts for it.
Hi, I am not clear about the hardware inside. When flippers hit the ball can you feel it? Can you feel the nudge or tilt the game by moving the table. Not by pressing the nudge buttons but by moving the machine? The real pinball ball you don’t press a button to tilt the game but by moving the pinball machine so does Legend pinball machine have that build in? I think Marvel pinball does.
They don't work with a rumble motor only with a special speaker inside for the low (bass). So cabinet shakes like crazy when not hitting anything in the field. Atgames you can nudge with gyro or with buttons and can config everything. Regarding the tech the use see Retro Ralph his modding video. ua-cam.com/video/UMudPqtImU0/v-deo.html&ab_channel=RetroRalph
How does the BYOG (bring your own game?) work? How many games are there to choose from? There was an old pinball machine back in the day that I used to LOVE called "Sea Witch" from (I think) Stern Electronics. Would love to download that one if it exists.
@@sgtbucky5454 Haven't seen that one, but I don't doubt it. I really miss that ambient sound from those old arcades from the dozens of games all being played at once. Such great times. I wasted many an afternoon in one of those places.
I love to have a pinball machine but I can’t afford 1000’s $. I’m not a big gamer at all but love pinball when I was a kid. What can I expect? Is it realistic?
Active Blackglass B2S can do the same thing in VP9/10 and it keeps the right aspect ratio when changing between the Blackglasses with or without Grill and DMD, ATGames need to resize their artwork
It would have helped to have either a separate, dedicated, DMD screen between the speakers, or a larger Backglass screen; but I guess that’s too much to ask from today’s ARM processors without radically degrading performance. But I do agree that they should be able to fill the existing Backglass screen with a combination Backglass art/Grill DMD via stretching. They don’t seem to be offering that option.
I want to play pinball fx3 williams tables with zen physics, so was leaning toward the attack from mars table from 1up, but this table clearly looks like better hardware... will it be possible to mod/hack and add pinball fx3? And utilize second screen/force feedback? Really would like to go with this at games table but those zen williams tables will ultimately be the main factor. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!
@@Teknikfrik ya i saw that, but then u need the pc and pc programs running/optimized, and im pretty sure all the feedback/physical features dont work. And you need some additional hardware as well after disconnecting the factory setup :-(
@@frankdux5785 yes you need alot of stuff to get it running... but at least you can. With a A1up you are stuck with the Tables and thats it. I understand your dilemma. @@Teknikfrik ya... so i guess if it is what it is i may just go with the AFM table... havent seen it in person obviously so hopefully i will be happy enough with it... then need to come out with a standing pinball controller for ps4/consoles for the record!
You can remove the panel and replace it because the 2 speakers or rumble motors are on a piece of plastic. And the plastic is loose or not places correctly. I put feedback on almost 0 because I find it more annoying than helping... The farting gnome in the cabinet i love to call it 🤣🙄
Thanks for the review, WG&C. But I don't think Farsight deserve more support, they let their customers down too many times. Also, the graphics look mediocre compared to VPX and Zen. Pass.
