The games on here were so high tier that when I got a 3DS with my friends and they were gushing over the graphics, I pulled out my PSP and showed them that I'd been playing games of that calibur for literal years
Sold all my psp gear 10 yrs ago, fast forward to now I have just built a collection of games I had and just picked up an original 1000 yesterday. Also have a switch but for me nothing has come close for me since PSP. Long live the PSP!!!!!!!!
The PSP blew my mind when I was a kid. Playing Metal Gear Solid on the go was a dream come true I'm still upset about how poorly the Vita did, but I'm still holding onto a sliver of hope that they put out a new handheld one day.
When I bought my PSP, I mostly bought it for the portable arcade, RPGs, fighting games, puzzlers, platformers, and racing titles. It was a great experience to had play games like Power Stone Collection, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, Tekken 5 & 6, GTA Liberty City and Vice City Stories, BlazBlue and Guilty Gear games, the Monster Hunter Freedom games, Tales of Eternia, Ys VI, the Metal Slug Anthology, Samurai Shodown Anthology, Capcom Arcade Collections, Midway Arcade Treasures Collection, Sega Genesis Collection, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny, Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X, Lunar Harmony, Star Ocean 1 & 2 remake, Persona 3 Portable, Silent Hill games, Ridge Racer Portable, Gran Turismo Portable, the WipEout games, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and FFIV Complete Edition, Phantasy Star Portable, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, LittleBigPlanet, God of War games, Lumines, and Patapons on the go at the time.
Another thing worth mentioning is the emulation capabilities of the PSP if you load custom firmware. Certainly for the time it was released, what it can emulate is pretty impressive. Off memory, I could run PS1 roms on my PSP, Mega Drive, Sega CD, all of the Gameboys, Beats of Rage, even arcade titles from CPS1 and 2. And it's pretty user friendly to set up also, simply hook it up to a laptop and you can drag and drop files as you like.
Around 13 mins in when you talk about the movies I had flashbacks to being a kid lmao. It’s just like you said that the psp literally did everything including having an internet browser it was wild. So the device that the movie player replaced was a technically portable but larger than a surface pad full setup was a disc movie player that my mom used to set up for us on trips. When we both got PSPs we got UMDs for movies instead so that when we were on road trips we had high quality video with headphones so I didn’t mess up her music. The psp was my favorite console I ever owned, I felt like out of anything I had besides an actual computer it just felt like I never needed a gameboy or DS, I remember I skipped having one entirely until HG//SS dropped and even then it was just HG and phantom hourglass next to a big collection of UMDs in a case like for CDs but miniature.
This portable console was such a powerhouse! I really loved mine and the only reason I put mine away was because the Vita came along. I still have my PSP around, though. I guess I now keep it out of nostalgia. :-)
Sony's greatest and most underrated achievement. Simply a fantastic device. I still play mine. I bought the first release when on the road traveling for a job, paid 350 for it. The iPod was impressive tech in those days, which made this absolutely amazing for the time . Such a bang for the buck.
I disagree. Touch screens sucks. Vita has one (or even two) and I never used them and just find them to be annoying. In fact games that FORCE you to use that new gimmick are really annoying and you wish the game would not use a touch screen. I think most people prefer buttons and hate touch screens unless you are 10 years old and grew up with smart phones where you only touch a screen. I WANT BUTTONS!
I had a psp go and traded it in years ago, always regretted it, finally managed to track down a decently priced one, its so beautiful and that screen size to body ratio is incredible. Also supports Bluetooth headphones as well. The satisfying snap of sliding it shut to sleep, reminded me of the joy of Gameboy advance SP as well. If anyone like anbernic or retroid make an emulation handheld in that form factor i will throw money it it
The PSP is my Favorite Sony Handheld. It is still good to this day and if i'm not more on the Sony side nowadays I can say, that the PSP was for the time really good :) I still have one. The PS2 generation? I would agree that was the best generation, though I think the PS3 generation was a lot of fun seeing all the first "cinematic blockbuster" games. Unfortunately like you said that also caused everything to kind of go downhill from there
psp 1000 here since some years. what i love about the system is also its potential for modding and emulation... i also upgraded mine with an ips display and 32 gb card. one flaw though is the poor battery management/playtime compared to the ds fe.
I’ve been in and out of the gaming collection scene for a while now, I honestly feel the psp feels better than the vita despite the lack of the second joystick. I am aware you can play psp on the vita but it just isn’t the same imo. I have a hacked psp 1000 that I use for psp and some ps1 and I honestly use it more than my switch. I am predominantly a PlayStation user but as a kid I only had gameboys so it would have been a game changer for me to have the psp when I was younger. I ended up selling my vita in the end because I prefer the PSP for psp games and as far as ps vita games I’m not too fussed on them and the majority of the ones I do care about I have the ports on my ps5 as well as better versions on my switch like personal 4 golden for example. The vita being easily replaceable by modern tech but I can’t say the same for psp, it’s still very relevant in my eyes. I’m eventually going to ips mod the screen but for now all I did was get a bigger and better ostent battery and it’s good to go
I remember being disappointed that the composite cables would only display video-out on my Daxter Edition PSP2000, and gameplay out could only be done with component cables (a limitation the later PSP3000 did not have) - none of the TVs in the house at that time even had component ports, if y'all were wondering...
All my friends has a DS at the time, but I didn't care that their console outsold mine lol, all I was interested in was what the psp could do out of the box! Amazing looking games, crystal clear video footage from movies, and it also had great audio capabilities. And if you jailbroke it you then had a world of emulators and psp back ups! It was an amazing handheld console. Crazy to think that many people think it flopped. It sold over 80million units plus! Hardly a flop, but it just didn't sell as well as Sony had hoped. It definitely deserved more credit than what it gets. I agree with the 2nd stick, that would have been handy. I still play mine to this day.
The PSP was a success for Sony's first handheld, I wish they had just done a psp 2 instead of going a bit sideways with the vita. I bought a PSP because the screen and image quality just seemed mind blowing when I saw it in the store. But then I was pleasantly surprised by what a huge library of games it ended up having. I like both the ds and the PSP but if I had to pick one it would probably be the PSP
I freaking love the PSP and I appreciate the time of the PSP and Nintendo DS, cos they were both pretty good systems with a different library of games :D
While the games often hold up really well the PSP itself isn't the best way to play most of those titles. Emulation offers upscaling, HD texture replacement, easy access to cheats and save states. If you use a controller you can even map the camera controls, if a game had them via face or shoulder buttons, to the right analogue stick. If not for the UMD movies I own my PSP would have been retired long ago. If the PPSSPP emulator ever gains that functionality my PSP gets put in a safe place for me to enjoy the memories I made with it.
personally I'm of the opposite opinion. I love how portable the psp is, for me playing it on an emulator on my computer defeats the purpose. some turn-based rpgs maybe I can see being as good of an experience on a smartphone emulator, but any game that requires quick reflexes becomes annoying on the touch buttons of those emulators. also in general I like playing games in the consoles for which they were designed. my biggest problem is that my old psp's analog stick is getting drift problems
@@ramdomgunner97 Phones have controllers too. You can also buy retro gaming handhelds like the Retroid Pocket 3+ that are pretty much perfect for PSP games. You really aren't just limited to touch controls. The RP3+ isn't even that much larger than a PSP, 1000 at least, so you aren't even sacrificing portability. Another element for me is that my PSP isn't getting any younger and I'd rather keep it in working order for as long as possible. I've been able to transfer my saves from my PSP to PPSSPP and carry on from where I left off.
Great console, but the choice of the UMD cd, the loading times were too long and not efficient for the battery, if it was a cartridge + micro sd format, it would be a huge success
Some of the games did have long load times, especially for a handheld. Large memory cards of equivalent 2gb size or so were still pretty expensive in 2004 though I'm not sure how that would have played out. Micro SD was only barely introduced in 2004, they would have probably had to use regular SD cards.
Not to be that guy, but.... the original version of the XMB that the PSP and PS3 use "technically" debuted first on the PSX in 2003, well before the PSP release. Right around the release of the PSP a few Sony Tv's and even the cybershot camera also used the same XMB. The Sony Bravia PX300 (PS2 TV) although it released much later (2010) it also used the same cross media bar.
Sony could honestly do the same again. If they can get access to the strong ARM chip on the market, polish up a form factor branching from what the Vita had, and create something that is both smaller yet still ergonomic and more powerful than what Nintendo offers, the big question though is people seem to prefer larger handhelds now, to the point where it’s no longer portable, so I’m not sure if they would go for the steam deck or portal approach, or if they’d stay true to Play Station Portable and Vita making something that fits in the pocket.
I have a psp go and a psp 3000 with 128gb, both moded haha, I order an ips display mod for psp 1000, looking for one and yea, I like the psp, back in the day I was a gameboy kid, so ds until late 2006 that I got my first psp
Yes. And heck, It's still one of the easiest platform to emulate along with the great classics. The old smartphone I just upgraded from is now going to be reconfigured into an emulating device with PSP as it's main platform to play.
*platforms *its main platform (possessive pronoun) it's = contraction of "it is" or "it has" All contractions have apostrophes. Possessive pronouns never do.
i ordered myself an Anbernic RG556 , it plays most things at 2x resolution , maybe some super resolution , with a nice big screen and comfortable grips , i ordered the most expensive one with 2 extra sd cards with 35000+ games i missed a lot of games growing up , but played a lot too , that i want to see back in better graphics , but still keeping the original feel it also has a slot for Big Screen playing via Hdmi and bluetooth for Xbox controller ... playing these older games on my 70" Laser projector screen with original scanlines , it almost kind of looks like an old CRT for my eyes , ... but BIG ... , super ... BIG ... , lol
For me is not like that. Only PSP screen gives me that vibe that I still want to play psp games today. I have Vita and few Anbernic devives mut I feel original is the only right one to play on. On Vita already it feel "artifitial" not to mention Anbernic devised with bump up resolution.
You missed something important in the "Switch in 2005" section: while PSP games have black borders around them, emulated PS1 games do not. You can use a PSP to play PS1 games on a TV and then unplug it and play on the go. I don't think there's a single device out that supports this with analog video out which matters a lot if you want to play PS1 games on a CRT. It's a niche use case, but the PSP is literally the best device for this. Video playback on TV is fullscreen as well, but I got less mileage out of the PSP's video capabilities.
@crywolfplays you're welcome:) there's a lot of niche use cases for video out. Another example: the PSP Go supports Bluetooth controllers. You can use it with video out and a controller at home and then take it on the go. 1000, 2000, 3000 and Go all function slightly differently with video out, with some models offering more capabilities on a TV than others.
I love the PSP games also, they're highly portable also do not contain a bunch of ads and try to sell you a bunch of junk and they play through with little loading
It is still crazy android still doesnt have better gaming gallery than psp , like what they have trilogy , hitman , a few total war games , alien isolation that is it other are just free to play trashes even ios resident evil that need you to buy controller to play , or assasins creed , i forget one game to add and that is it
I bought a jailbroken PS3 that can play a lot of different consoles. I have a pretty huge library of games on it. Cost me about 100 bucks maybe 5 ish years ago
Well to be honest. I loved the PSP I had the cables to hook it to a TV. I pre-ordered the PlayStation Vita in fact at that time I got rid of my PlayStation 3 because the Vita was so good I didn't want anything else. With that being said since PlayStation pretty much abandoned the Vita. I kind of just gave up on Sony entirely. I am now a PC gamer. Not to mention what Sony has become I don't like their business practices but whatever. In fact Sony come out and said they're working on a new handheld but the only reason they're doing this is because they think it's going to make them a crap load of money. Cuz all they care about is the money not the player. What's okay we have a steam deck and legion go. X player is expensive but works really well. It was fun Sony but I moved on it's what I'm basically saying.
iPod Video 5th gen and 5.5 also had the same Wolfson Brand Audio DAC as the PSP 1000 but PSP had a better video experience than the iPod Video. All my favorite PSP OST’s are on my iPod for better battery life, but very nice watching my movies on PSP (compared to iPod Video)
You know, there are a lot of camps and things that have written into their rules you cant have touchscreen players... the PSP is an excellent replacement, provided you do some prepwork
I never liked the playstation but GOD I LOVE THE PSP and I will never understand why it was not more popular and why the DS "won". To this day I find no fun games on the DS. The PSP is so underrated that it makes me question humanity in general like you can have such an amazing product yet people do not care and it is sad.
Yeah the PSP was incredible, I think people are so desensitized to modern tech that they either forget or aren't old enough to realize how crazy this was back in the day. And even back then I felt like people "didn't get it".
@@crywolfplays back in the day people clearly did not get it. i hear about the amazing DS library. the PSP has an amazing library. ds is mostly kiddy games and while i am not ashamed to enjoy kiddy games i do not like the games on the ds while the psp has games in all genres for literally everyone. it is amazing.
Sony needs to revisit handhelds. This time focus on support, instead of power. We don't need a portable ps4, we need games. And stop with the proprietary crap. Just use what is already available.
they wont make consoles as cool as the psp again. i might be a ds kid but ill nvr forget hw cool the older kids looked w their psp. esspeically seeing the games they were playing on it. my ds looked so lame compared to theirs 💀
I actually spent a lot more time with my DS than my psp because Nintendo games are my favorite, but the PSP was always just mind blowing to me in terms of tech and had some great games
For a time it was brilliant. But when using it now you sadly realize that most hyped games is just mediocre. Like boring Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII or Resistance: Retribution. And that big screen is very blurry in motion so games with crisp pixelart almost painful to play. At least - on my PSP2000. GOWs is great, btw. And for 50$ tops for used PSP now - it definitely worth it.
Id love this, but I hope Sony eventually makes a series S type handheld that can play downscaled PS5 or cross gen games, I don't think they'd have the resources for another whole system. Maybe that's becoming less relevant as they port to PC, but I'm not a huge fan of current handheld PCs
More like please be 2005 again. I think consoles are a dying category. There's incresingly less games for them that aren't also for pc, they keep getting more expensive, etc. It's not such a bad thing, since now almost any gamer can get by just owning a pc, but we'll never get back back that feeling of being excited for a new console with soon to be hundreds of future classics and gems that can only be experienced on that console.

It replaced my MP3 player, it was also how I'd show people digital photos while I was away from my PC, it was how I watched anime and movies on the go, and even after my phone replaced all those roles, it still had amazing games like DBZ Shin Budokai 2, MegaMan: Maverick Hunter X, Crisis Core: FFVII, Kingdom Hearts: BBS, Duodecim Dissidia, GTA: VCS/LCS/CTW, Tenchu 3, MGS: Portable Ops & Peace Walker, Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles (basically Requiem before Requiem) and that's just a few off the top of my head, there are a tonne that I didn't even mention. The games on here were so high tier that when I got a 3DS with my friends and they were gushing over the graphics, I pulled out my PSP and showed them that I'd been playing games of that calibur for literal years
*adopter, though.
*caliber, though lol
4:25 AND it had a Motorstorm game.
Just finished size matters on the psp last week. The graphics of that game still look great.
I had a PSP 3000. Lots of fun with this system
Sold all my psp gear 10 yrs ago, fast forward to now I have just built a collection of games I had and just picked up an original 1000 yesterday. Also have a switch but for me nothing has come close for me since PSP. Long live the PSP!!!!!!!!
Google Trimui Smart Pro ;-) and welcome yourself to retro emulation
The PSP blew my mind when I was a kid. Playing Metal Gear Solid on the go was a dream come true
I'm still upset about how poorly the Vita did, but I'm still holding onto a sliver of hope that they put out a new handheld one day.
When I bought my PSP, I mostly bought it for the portable arcade, RPGs, fighting games, puzzlers, platformers, and racing titles. It was a great experience to had play games like Power Stone Collection, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, Tekken 5 & 6, GTA Liberty City and Vice City Stories, BlazBlue and Guilty Gear games, the Monster Hunter Freedom games, Tales of Eternia, Ys VI, the Metal Slug Anthology, Samurai Shodown Anthology, Capcom Arcade Collections, Midway Arcade Treasures Collection, Sega Genesis Collection, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny, Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X, Lunar Harmony, Star Ocean 1 & 2 remake, Persona 3 Portable, Silent Hill games, Ridge Racer Portable, Gran Turismo Portable, the WipEout games, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and FFIV Complete Edition, Phantasy Star Portable, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, LittleBigPlanet, God of War games, Lumines, and Patapons on the go at the time.
you have too much time on your hands
Another thing worth mentioning is the emulation capabilities of the PSP if you load custom firmware. Certainly for the time it was released, what it can emulate is pretty impressive. Off memory, I could run PS1 roms on my PSP, Mega Drive, Sega CD, all of the Gameboys, Beats of Rage, even arcade titles from CPS1 and 2. And it's pretty user friendly to set up also, simply hook it up to a laptop and you can drag and drop files as you like.
Seeing the games, and UMD movies running on this thing in 2004 was mindblowing. I never felt this way after the PSP, it was amazing.
Same, for me that was the unforgettable first moment of "real portable full multimedia device and console experience"
Keep Growing ~ DeadZ3K
Thanks for the support!
Loved my PSP. It felt so fancy and futuristic lol.
I still play it from time to time and get impressed by what they managed to accomplish on it.
Fancy and futuristic is exactly how it felt yeah lol
Around 13 mins in when you talk about the movies I had flashbacks to being a kid lmao. It’s just like you said that the psp literally did everything including having an internet browser it was wild. So the device that the movie player replaced was a technically portable but larger than a surface pad full setup was a disc movie player that my mom used to set up for us on trips. When we both got PSPs we got UMDs for movies instead so that when we were on road trips we had high quality video with headphones so I didn’t mess up her music. The psp was my favorite console I ever owned, I felt like out of anything I had besides an actual computer it just felt like I never needed a gameboy or DS, I remember I skipped having one entirely until HG//SS dropped and even then it was just HG and phantom hourglass next to a big collection of UMDs in a case like for CDs but miniature.
lol Thanks for sharing, the PSP was just crazy back in the day, I feel like I'll never experience that "wow" period with another handheld gadget.
I agree it's one of if not Sony's top achievements in hardware. I couldn't believe all the things it could do
100%
My favorite handheld of all time. Hoping for PSP 2 happens one day.
just got one a couple weeks ago💪🏽 super excited to mod it
Thank you for taking me down memory lane.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it.
Great video, though i'll add that the cross media bar was first used with the PSX in Japan, not the PSP
Thanks for the feedback here, I didn't know about that.
Also for me Underrated are the OG Xbox and the 360. Some of their Games look really fantastic and it is cool what MS did at those Generations :) Also i can agree that the Gamecube is underrated too :) Especially if u look at F-Zero GX.
Thanks for watching, I think the 360 is a great console and Microsoft's best consumer hardware product probably. Fzero is amazing :D

@@crywolfplays Microsoft's best consumer HARDWARE product was a console that had over a 50 percent failure rate for the... HARDWARE?? and that whole ordeal literally cost them over a BILLION dollars lol C'mon now ain't now way...
There were actually 2 full size burnout games on psp
I didn't realize that, thanks for noting
@@crywolfplaysDon't worry, Burnout Dominator is probably the most forgotten Burnout game tbh.
There was also Need for Speed Shift on PSP which runs on the same engine and was made by the same dev team.
Let's be honest, this was the last truly great console generation. It only had hints of what would end up being where we are now and we're not doing too great.
The PS2 generation? I would agree that was the best generation, though I think the PS3 generation was a lot of fun seeing all the first "cinematic blockbuster" games. Unfortunately like you said that also caused everything to kind of go downhill from there
Portable umd player on top no internet required ahead of its time
Best device to play ps1 games on. The ps1 graphics don't look bad on the small screen. I like playing Castlevania symphony of the night on it
Ive got about 100 original PSP games in original cases, love my psp.

@alvallac2171 ❤️
The psp will always be my favorite from PlayStation.
I just downloaded Lord of Arcana and Warriors Orochi 2 to my psp and damn this shit is fun forever
psp 1000 here since some years.
what i love about the system is also its potential for modding and
emulation...
i also upgraded mine with an ips display and 32 gb card.
one flaw though is the poor battery management/playtime
compared to the ds fe.
I like both the ds and the PSP but if I had to pick one it would probably be the PSP
the pzp was the first handheld I saw to use a 16mp camera sensors
*PSP
*sensor. (singular, to match with "a")
Why is the audio off
True, still awesome.I'm play GOW Ghost of Sparta and it's excellent.💯👌🏻✌🏻
I've only played chains of olympus, I'll have to get ghost of sparta.
I freaking love the PSP and I appreciate the time of the PSP and Nintendo DS, cos they were both pretty good systems with a different library of games :D
Yeah they were both good yet so different
*'cause
*with different libraries
*games.
Dark Mirror is your personal favorite? Mine too! Maybe you can join us online sometime!
I didn't know this, thanks for sharing.
It was ahead of its time just like the vita
I have a psp go and a psp 3000 with 128gb, both moded haha, I order an ips display mod for psp 1000, looking for one and yea, I like the psp, back in the day I was a gameboy kid, so ds until late 2006 that I got my first psp
Yes. And heck, It's still one of the easiest platform to emulate along with the great classics. The old smartphone I just upgraded from is now going to be reconfigured into an emulating device with PSP as it's main platform to play.
*platforms
*its main platform (possessive pronoun)
it's = contraction of "it is" or "it has"
All contractions have apostrophes. Possessive pronouns never do.
i ordered myself an Anbernic RG556 , it plays most things at 2x resolution , maybe some super resolution ,
with a nice big screen and comfortable grips ,
i ordered the most expensive one with 2 extra sd cards with 35000+ games
i missed a lot of games growing up , but played a lot too , that i want to see back in better graphics , but still keeping the original feel
it also has a slot for Big Screen playing via Hdmi and bluetooth for Xbox controller ...
playing these older games on my 70" Laser projector screen with original scanlines , it almost kind of looks like an old CRT for my eyes , ... but BIG ... , super ... BIG ...
This is a cool callout. Thanks!
I love the PSP games also, they're highly portable also do not contain a bunch of ads and try to sell you a bunch of junk and they play through with little loading
lol yeah, you just buy the game and its a complete, permanent experience out of the box, what a concept.
No mention of POPS - POrtable PlayStation - PS1 emulator added with firmware 3.00 two years after the PSP release.
It is still crazy android still doesnt have better gaming gallery than psp , like what they have trilogy , hitman , a few total war games , alien isolation that is it other are just free to play trashes even ios resident evil that need you to buy controller to play , or assasins creed , i forget one game to add and that is it
Yeah Android/iOS game libraries are quantity over quality, people nowadays don't understand the quality and gems of old dedicated handheld libraries
I bought a jailbroken PS3 that can play a lot of different consoles. I have a pretty huge library of games on it. Cost me about 100 bucks maybe 5 ish years ago
XMB debuted on PS2 DVR system called "PSX"
What is coming out of the pixel phone USB jack? Looks like a piece of shredded cheese.
HELL YEAH I still rip my PSP go all the time. It's a beaut and gets way more playtime than my switch and vita. Amazing console
Lol yeah I still play mine all the time.
why do i not remember that resistance game....
PSP games already had great graphics but playing them on the PPSSPP emulator makes them look even better
iPod Video 5th gen and 5.5 also had the same Wolfson Brand Audio DAC as the PSP 1000 but PSP had a better video experience than the iPod Video. All my favorite PSP OST’s are on my iPod for better battery life, but very nice watching my movies on PSP (compared to iPod Video)
I still play Dissidia 012 and FF tactics on my ps vita
I'm gaming every day on my ps vita fat 1100. Play PS1 games so fun 🎮.
To be fair Nintendo DS launched with TWO 3-inch screens. So the ultimate screen size is 6 inches, much larger than PSP
wait this is literally Honest's voice
Playing psp on pc is amazing psp in hd is the why to go
Im just here to say I agree.
The browser might not have been a good experience but it was for certain content I def couldn't watch on the family pc lol
You know, there are a lot of camps and things that have written into their rules you cant have touchscreen players... the PSP is an excellent replacement, provided you do some prepwork
...a $700 Home Console.....???!
No Wonder i haven't bought one in a while
Iove playing psp games on Android
8:36 CRT
Sony needs to revisit handhelds. This time focus on support, instead of power. We don't need a portable ps4, we need games.
And stop with the proprietary crap. Just use what is already available.
Спасибо вам, если бы не вы то цены на psp не выросли.
damn crazy people still calling jak 2 controversial
Psp❤
Psvita should have been PSP 2 and kept PS3 or PS4 user interface. Shame that we only got 1 psp series.
I agree I always thought Vita was a weird name when the home consoles were numbered
@crywolfplays yeah and the whole bubble icon interface felt like a leapster. I still have mine with about 30 games. Games were great though
Having a psp with a custom firmware >>>>>
they wont make consoles as cool as the psp again. i might be a ds kid but ill nvr forget hw cool the older kids looked w their psp. esspeically seeing the games they were playing on it. my ds looked so lame compared to theirs 💀
I actually spent a lot more time with my DS than my psp because Nintendo games are my favorite, but the PSP was always just mind blowing to me in terms of tech and had some great games
Also there is new gta for psp.... Sindaco chronicles
Lol I recently been playing the s*** outta mine even though it only lasts like an hour and a half off the wall.
2004 handheld with no Bezels.
Great call out, its part of why it still look so modern.
I have to admit the vita was a better system but it was let down by sonys memory card prices and lack of games
And for 50$ tops for used PSP now - it definitely worth it.
.............. yeh, maybe running on a Steam Deck.
please new psp in 2025
Id love this, but I hope Sony eventually makes a series S type handheld that can play downscaled PS5 or cross gen games, I don't think they'd have the resources for another whole system.
