    Today our 50CC GY6 Gets Bigger Jet This is what happened. It made a big difference. We did not gain any top speed but it felt like it was running more smooth and had more power through out the power band. We also installed a better belt from Gates. This is a must if you use your scooter for a daily commuter. It will last way longer than the cheap ones from amazon.

    I really like your videos. I have a 2014 Ice Bear Ave trike 50cc. I have installed alot of the same mods that you have. I will be installing my 10cc bbk next. Unfortunately, as a trike I have only been able to achieve 28 mph so far.

    If you want more rpm you want to put a stiffer torque spring otherwise you'll lose more top end. The perfect balance will give you top end and acceleration but it's not all down to the rollers

      @@kickingitwithcollinoutlawa2717 I literally just started getting into modding my scooter. replaced the carb/air intake and now i'm getting ready to either
      a) replace the rollers
      b) (depending on level of wear) just redo the whole damned cvt. my scooter is 11 years old and most of it is original lol

    Did you measure any of your drive belts? You use advertised 669mm. My 729 gates measured 8 mm short. The cheap Chinese belts are softer. Thus faster and cooler with 3 hp 49 cc motor and lite duty cvts ! 150cc may like gates power link.

    I have a couple of questions what size pilot did you use with the 85 main? Also how do you have the air? Air box, performance air filter with exhaust pipe or air filter right onto carb? I have a thunder and I just put a 80-32 with my performance air filter with exhaust tube and it bogs when I take off a little and if I give it full throttle. Any help would be appreciated

      Did you get the pilot and main jet figured out? Did you up size up the pilot? What combo are you running?
      Thanks in advance. 🛵〰〰〰
      They say bogging on throttling is a symptom of fuel starved. Pilot jet too small?
      Needle valve adjustment with "C clip" to the bottom slot?

      I bout a performance carb for my stock 50cc taotao. Not sure what my stock carb jets were but it wad too lean probably 78 main 30 pilot tops I assume. My new performance carb is 82 main jet 32 pilot jet. It was running too rich until I took the rubber restriction out of the stock airbox. I assume if you run a 32 pilot you would need an unrestricted airbox and or live at sea level and cold westher otherwise 32 is probably too rich for a stock 50cc. I might try a pod filter on myn and see if it helps me. Other than that myns stock but I cut an inch off the stinger on my exhaust tip too

      @@DD_850 there simply is not one answer to correct jetting, environmental conditions have a huge effect on ur carb tuning. I used to run a 100 main jet on a 72cc at sea level but had to drop to 100 living at 900m.

    • @throttle_therapy
      @throttle_therapy  Рік тому

      Could be the fuel pump. Unplug the fuel line going into the carb, then turn the engine over to see if fuel is being pumped through the line.
