      It needs porting polish in the cylinder head area and my suggestion is to use a Keihin PE/PWK type carburetor size 24 guys. I feel that on the Honda Beat 108cc carburetor can easily reach 120km/h

    I just installed the glixal 52mm 90cc big bore with a naraku big valve head on my taotao thunder. It buried the speedometer to 45mph in just a few seconds and even held that speed up a hill. Stock carb with a 91 main jet and stock cvt. The power is insane and it hasn't even been tuned yet. If you want more power go for the 90cc. You won't regret it. Good luck guys I'm looking forward to more content.

      I did the 80cc. Definitely a huge improvement. It’s still not going to break any land speed records but I can get to 40 within seconds now. Before it took 1/4 mile and a struggle to get to 43mph. I’m quite satisfied with the upgrade. Only thing I need to do is a valve adjustment. Too much tapping noise.

    Guess ill have to do mine.. ive already put a Racing clutch, New rear drive gear, New ECM with rev limiter disabled and a Coil pack from a 150cc.. And i can get about 45mpg on flat ground, And 55+ with the wind at my back.. And im still 49cc.. Might have to use more synthetic oils if i put the 80cc kit on.. But i think you inspired me to do it and record it..

    I know this video is a bit old already, but a BBK wont always raise your top speed. You might get a few but the increase is negligible. The increase in power is due to the increase in torque so it’ll get you to the powerband or to top speed a lot faster.

Funny thing though-looking back, I never remember the oil light on. The bike had a separate oil container and it automatically mixed the oil and fuel. Obviously, that’s what did it in.

    Been watching for while now.
    Picked up what I thought was a stock Chinese 50cc scooter. Exhaust was messed when I bought it for good price. Was loud and ran good.
    Then it went up to 9000 rpm and did 60klm quite easy. Belt frade up and shut me down. Replaced it with new 729mm kevlar belt and cleaned everything in case up. No scale so roller weights unknown.
    With new belt it had same speed but now it only hit 6500 when full throttle and doing 66klm. Top speed down hill has been 73.
    Have scale and have replaced clutch with performance one that had red springs. Not as fast anymore. Put stock springs from old clutch in and weight rollers. They were 5.6g each.
    Here is my concern.
    What size piston in it. Has a bbk been put on.
    Anyway to tell without removing valves and head to measure piston.
    Carb comes off this weekend to get cleaned and rebuilt.
    Dont want to buy new 80 or 100cc bbk if it has one in already.
    The rollers are not stock weight so that got me thinkn

    • @matthewcollins6316
      @matthewcollins6316 Рік тому

      I put a 72cc big bore kit performance exhaust and belt upgrade and changed main jet can do about 75-80km on a flat road so long as there aint too much head wind. I doubt your bike has a big bore kit as you'd be doing well over 80kms. Im about to put a 100cc big bore kit in soon and upgrade clutch springs and change rollers. Hoping this will get me to to around 90kms/hr or a little more. Prior to installing the bbk I could only get around 60-65km on a 50cc.
      Id recommend just going for the 100 cc kit straight up as youll probably find with the 80cc kit wont be fast enough. A little bit more work on the install but will be worth while.

    So how are those tao scooters? I used to have a tao quad and it was the cheapest pos that only lasted for a week. I want to make a quick little scooter on the cheap and would love a Honda or a Yamaha but everyone for some reason wants scooters these days. Are these worth it or no?

      They are fun for cheap! Easy to work on and from what I can tell they are reliable. Or save up and pay more for the Honda or Yamaha.

    If you didnt change anything in the carburator, it might be running way too rich. Generally when you increase the amount of CC's, you should tighten the carburator jet. Depending on your climate you might want to install a 72-76.

    • @joseph.seaker9082
      @joseph.seaker9082 Рік тому +3

      I think you might be mistaken friend I think that you mean it'd be running too lean it'd be running perfect if it was the stock size bore if you're increasing the size of the bore and keeping the carburetor the same it would be leaning out the mixture rather than enriching it

    • @leerdoor
      @leerdoor Рік тому +3

      @@joseph.seaker9082 Thats what i thought at first too. But mine was running waaaay to rich after the mod. I Googled around and it turned out that a greater CC will also incease the vacuum and that influences the feul ratio sucked in through the jet.

    You already had a stock 65cc engine. Im a moped mechanic here in the Netherlands and the size of the stock gy6 piston here is 39mm. Of course the Laws here are diffrent, as we can only drive 25km/u (15.5 mph) without a helmet and 45km/u (28mph) with a helmet. I dont know How the laws are in your state. But i think you can drive faster there ;)

      @@throttle_therapy they are very strict here, we have what we call a ‘rollerbank’ its a meter the police uses to test the speed. If the bike goes to fast you will get a ‘wachten op keuren’ or a WOK, that means you have to bring the bike to stock and have to do an insurance test. Otherwise, you are forbidden to drive the bike and it will get seized if they catch u
