Today we test a 50CC SCOOTER PERFORMANCE CLUTCH WORTH IT?
Our 50cc gy6 scooter has gotten just about every upgrade for a stock scooter. This clutch upgrade is one of only a few things left before a Big bore kit... We also share our next big project for the scooter.

Thanks for watching! Who is excited for the next video?
Me bro! Love this series
🤘🤘
this is a rollercoaster journey. anxiety, terror, hilarity, i can't wait to see what's gonna come next lol
👍
@@throttle_therapy hey could you do a video explaining what works and what doesn't and how to get these mods
Don't even own a 50cc but I enjoy watching people tare down scoots as often as possible so that the process stays fresh on my mind for when I inevitably need to start doing more than just maintenance on my 150
Thanks for picking us to watchA
I just installed that exact big bore kit on my moped and it runs way better now
That is a relief to hear🤣
The reason that buzzing thing happened and that the nut came off is because when it was torqued on the belt was in between keeping the outer side of the variator or the big starter gear thing from seating properly, now because the big outer variator gear thing is toques up against the belt and is not seated and centered properly, when you start driving, pressure is put on it which eventually makes it want to move out of position because the belt is rubbing against it to pull our weight, and then it either loosens too much and the starts making fun noises or even better flies off and wreaks havoc on your cvt, to solve this install the belt after the actual variator and also press the big rear clutch spring down so that belt sits inside which gives slack when you install the outer variator thing, hope this helped
Nice good stuff dude I actually upgraded my scooter from a 50cc to a 90 from Rolling Ridge so it's running really good now I'm about to do a gear upgrade on the bike love your stuff though good stuff
Awesome! Sounds like a fun machine Thanks dude🤘
How fast u average on ur RW BBK. I havent been able to get my carb running well enough to get a descent gps reading
I’m new to the channel I’ve been watching for weeks now I’m getting a spark 150cc and I’ve been watching your videos on how to make it faster and to keep it in good condition and watching closely on fixing it as well.. cool videos
the torque driver you replaced most likely has a straight grooves or different angle on the grooves. The different grooves in the TD greatly change the way your bike "shifts".
OK so...
1) I am sad because I've now watched every video on your channel.
2) BBK hell yeah! I definitely want to see the full install vid on that. I've been thinking about doing the same to mine so I'm curious how it'll go for you guys.
We are excited🤘 im curious to see the new top speed because of all the different results people had in the Amazon reviews
Thanks for the content. It helps me because it breaks it down and give confidence
Glad you are enjoying it🤘 thank you
Hey What jet did you guys settle on? I live near ish you, and have alot of the same mods lol , Glixial 80cc BBK, A9 cam, 20mm carb, uni filter, Amazon pipe, Blue CDI, orange coil, NGK carb , High ramp variator 6 gram rollers, Gates powerlink belt
If you plan on keeping the bike a while and riding a lot new clutch is a must big bore aftermarket exhaust and carb are a must I've had a couple scooters and mini chopper my favorite would be my street legal Baja warriors
Great video! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your knowledge.
On the big bore kit run a 24mm carb with a naraku intake spacer if u can it would be cool to see u install a adjustable ac current cdi box with a fabricated exhaust
80cc Big bore kit 5.5 gram rollers and stock clutch 20 mm carb stock jets I weigh 220lbs I get 44mph on flats
Too slow for that kit
The carb is toi small buy a 24mm
I"ll do 55 mph, with a 80cc, 24mm carb with a 102 mainjet, 6,5 gram rollers, and a yellow(1500rpm) set of springs on the clutch and
pressure spring.
My weight is even over 220 lbs
@@MichelOudendag you are riding in -30celcius or you have a major air leak - cracked intake or leaking vacuumlines. make everything airtight, put in 88-92 main jet, 5,5 rollers an enjoy the extra horsepower :D put in rollers that keep you at 7200-8000 rpm range
Get some 7 gram rollers as you will be doing 48. It's not much but it's something.
Many Glixal and Narrako parts are the same parts. That clutch is exactly the same but 1/3 price.
here once again in 2023 to say dude ur videos are helping me so so so much ive been building along(laterobvi) but its going so smooth, im going for wheelies
Mine did that the washer behind the nut i had backwards
Thus clutch bell makes the moped pick up better, it isnt going to give you a higher top speed or better acceleration.
What is the link for the 20 mm carb and clutch set up?
6000 miles on a cheap Chinese scooter! It lasted well. Some have not. How can you get more free air to flow into the c.v.t.? An air scoop on the front? Keep out the dirt. Let in cold air
i bought a high performance clutch came with 2000 rpm springs for my scooter...belive it or not the stock clutch performed way better...i wasted 75 dollars on the high performance clutch...
Try some 1500 rpm springs. Only the small ones tho. Use the stock large spring. That's what we did and it made a big difference
@@throttle_therapy ok thanks
Same thing here. Have 80cc big bore. Performance clutch with 2000lb springs was ablsolutely worse than stock
I would try a high performance cylinder head and a cam first that's what I'm going to do with my 50cc bullet monoshock scooter and I guarantee I'll be going over 40 mi an hour before I put the Big bore kit on it
Do most scooters have the same clutches? My son has a 2013 benelli quattronove 50x and it taps out at 55km/hr. It has 554km on it and a 1/2" wide belt. Thinking of replacing with a better clutch to get 60km/hr or more out of the 50cc engine. Suggestions and help before i sell it for being to slow
Lucky you didnt wipe out your crank with that loose vari bolt
after having big bore, it will not be 50cc, so can you ride it without tag and title?
Is if i buy a performance clutch it doesnt come with the spring already installed? I gotta take the spring out of the old clutch and use that?
This upgrade will on get you there faster lol trust me
Just do some modification in cvt
Pulley bro it will increase some top end
Bro how you do this? Is it a free mod that I can do?
my 125cc used to max out at 55mph after I put red clutch springs I hit 70mph made a decent improvement
How did you compress the clutch to put the belt on? With the red springs
@Ryan-lz1po well I got a hammer and hit it into place alot of messing about but enough patience and u can do it
@@Italian_MotoVlogs lol yeah that works too 👍 I also figured out you can open up the clutch fins by taking two socket extensions on top and bottom and squeeze them together and it leverages them open. Then put belt in
Not sure if you guys have had any experience with a 70cc big bore kit at all, if so do you think its worth it?
We are about to!
It’s worth it to me.😊
Like you styl man :P and you know it's quality when the package says it's a gasket, just in case
Bonjour taille de la courroie svp
You guys at some point in the future put speakers on it
Stronger springs are just a curse.
What size main jet in carb?
It's not getting tight because you didn't allow slack in tbt belt. Just FYI
Good to know👍 thanks for the tip
how much is the gy6 mod cost ?
Try to get a variator tuneing kit
hey guys, awesome video!!
I recently installed a 72cc big bore kit on a kymco agility rs, at the moment everthing else is still stock except that the varioring has been taken out.
my top speed is currently around 60 kmh (37 mph).
I'm wondering what the things are that I can do to get an even higher top speed. mainly the jet size, the weight for the variator, which springs I should use for the clutch and what to do for the airfilter.
I really hope someone can help me with this.
1500 rpm clutch springs would be a good idea
Wat is de diameter van je zuiger?
@@StefGaming 47mm boring
My unrestricted Agility with 6gram sliders does 40.
Change the stock airfilter to a tuning one
thanks for all your amazing content.
im starting to like Glixal alot too.
i have the 20mm carb, the racing clutch assembly, and the 729 belt.
ill also very soon order 47mm bbk.
do you have any input on thier crankshaft ? sure it wont by ssp-g or naraku, but i cant afford 250-300 CAD with shipping for that right now.
i have a weird knocking nosie and i cannot find the cause.
could help me out trying to find the issue ? it could save me a crank if its not the issue.
Thank you! We haven't had to do anything with our crankshaft so far. You might find some good info on UA-cam from Scooter Swap Shop or Rolling Wrench. They offer way more in depth information on that kind of thing. Hope that helps. We just don't have the experience to give you a better answer
@@throttle_therapy thanks.
You tested it with the stock variator, or a high performance variator?
With the performance one
Does sport clutch increase bike speed top speed?
did you watch the video?
I love video whith 50cc
What is your max rpm when you are at top speed?
About 7100 at max
Or run 8gram ncy rollers
What kind of tach do you have
It's a Runleader. Got it on amazon👍
I have that, the one with the temp sensor,I run 4,000 rpm at 40mph,what do you run for rpm
You need a 2 stroke 70cc
Yeah we do! Looking at elites and prebugs. Haven't come across the right deal yet. Looking for ones that are as close to stock as possible.
does the GY6 SCOOTER PERFORMANCE CLUTCH make the scooter faster ?
Why not simply buy a 125cc
Yeah super great show check out mine I'm a UA-camr as well and I'm doing the kind of like what you're doing on your bike but I've already gone like like high as far as you can go on a on a 50cc scooter
