He’s got it wrong. The scientist infected the neighbor who happened to be a pilot. He is the one who spread it across the world. If you’re going to do these videos, you might as well make sure it’s correct lol
Each version is its own canon. The new films don't fit the continuity of the originals either, and the original films don't fit the novel that they're based on. So there's at least four different "canons".
The original films, the 2001 remake, the TV show, the animated show and the reboot all have their own canons + the book. None of them connect but the book, 1968, 2011 and both TV shows share a set-up.
All I know is this!!!! 50 yrs ago today me and my brothers went to an ape out!!! In which they showed all the apes movies in one day!!! It was the funniest day of my life!!!! Thanks Tom!!!!!!
Yeah, no. They’re 3 separate universes/ series. There’s the original movies Planet of The Apes 1968 - Battle 1973. Tim Burton’s failed remake. And the reboot series. Rise, Dawn, War, and Kingdom of the Planet of The Apes. You’re jumping through mental gymnastics trying to connect them all. Fail. P.S. Not everything under the sun has to be one big connected universe. FFS 🤦🏻♂️
You're right! Thank you. Too many people simply do not know what is going on. They do not know the original films, and that they are an entirely different franchise/universe from the new films.
U have the timeline slightly wrong. Rise begins in 2003 and ends in 2011. That’s y the simian flu website from back then labeled the simian flu as the 2012 virus. Dawn is then 2021 and War in 2023.
The best way to think about the timeline for the planet is the Apes is the original movies are the end of the timeline so Battle for the Planet of the Apes is actually the last film. We discount the Tim Burton film as it's just a reimagination. The films that have Andy Serkis in them are the history Zira and Cornelius know. So the best idea is to start with the Andy Serkis (rise dawn and war) then watch the Planet, Beneath, Escape but keep in mind everything after conquest has been accelerated because of the presents of Zira and Cornelius, the more militaristic ideas and the fact that all cats and dogs have been wiped off the face of the Earth. Simply put their presents rewrote history.
I like to think of it like this. When they traveled back in time during Escape they created a new timeline, one in which Zira and Cornelius are Caesars parents and apes and humans coexist, and the true history which got messed up when they traveled back in time. So now instead of Caesar starting his revolt in the 70s, same with the astronauts heading to space is now moved up to the 2010s
I think this movie is trying to tell us we are going to live our same lives thru different experiences.. just like Cesar being born in different scenarios 😮
The one thing I had a gripe with is how did the apes get a working spaceship and know how to fly it, when the didn't even know about airplanes? Not 2 mention escaping b4 earth blew up?
Guessing Dr. Milo dredged the spaceship out of the water during the events of Part 1and 2 and figured out how to get it functional. All without Dr. Zaius knowing about it, of course.
I like to think this new kingdom that emerges kidnapped Ceaser's clan as well and just adopted his symbol and name. It shows that Ceaser is no more than a ledgend at this point and the apes all have to choose their own path
I didn't think that it was a alternative timeline starting in third one and on I thought everything that happened had already happened like that's what happened originally we just didn't know yet never knew how it all happened those original movies reminded me of terminator like its a circle a loop that'll keep going on and on forever
I’m sorry but am I the only one who WANTS these to be seperate universes? The newer planet of the apes are already sosos much better then the original ones and have amazing writing. Plus I don’t even think they’re connected to begin with
Everyone getting @ss mad at the idea of the new saga being connected to the original😂😂😂 Rise to Beneath is the original timeline. Escape to Battle is the reset/rewritten timeline. The Tim Burton remake is an alternate timeline. The original is 2,000 years in the future....there's still plenty of ways to connect the new series with it.
Tim Burton's Planet of the apes movie didn't count as it was not only on a different planet but the apes that had come from earth were very primitive . It was only after they landed on that unknown world that they became more advanced.
The new films really don't fit the timeline of the originals. There's three different canons: the original films, the Tim Burton film, and the new films.
@@jayb8934for me it does, the timeline are connected. Apes are learning to speak English more fluent as time passes. To the point we see in the original. Connecting the timeline makes sense and the reason why humanity fell and apes society rises.
Uhm 300 years pass between War and Kingdom? …. I’m pretty sure the protagonist calls the name Nova in the trailer for Kingdom. She looks an awful lot like the girl from War. The video is wrong. I’m gonna say it’s about a 10-15 year gap between War and Kingdom
Timeline didn't really help after you went off the rails with the Burton film. It just turned into recounting the movies as they released. Technically: -the original five films exist in their own chronological order -the Burton movie is in its own universe -the new Caesar trilogy (plus the most recent Kingdom movie) still has not confirmed whether it is a prequel series leading up to the original 1968 film series' start or just a full remake series that only nods to the originals for homage.
Well there is some evidence and theories that suggest that the Ceaser Trilogy is Canon. Possibly prequels because when you look at Rise, it literally shows you the virus that rendered humans mute along with some other evidence And this fact that Rise pretty much chronicles the apes evolution with the help of the virus Now the 2001 Tim Burton film is definitely not Canon to anything No one said no to Tim.
Andy's Serkis Planet of the apes have nooooo connection to the originals or the 2001 version. A lot of the current planet of the apes movies 2011-2024 pays homage to the originals which is why there is a lot of easter eggs. Get it right!

Canon or not (I choose to see it as not) the movie straight up sucked, so most people just tend to forget about it.
