    Ok. I put SUGAR in the brine YES. But some of you maybe think I drink the brine?
    The sugar just neutralizes the sour taste of the vinegar. It won't GET IN and SUCK into the watermelon 😂
    Why are people so worried about the SUGAR 😅
    I'm sorry but.... 🤷‍♀️ DO YOU DRINK THE BRINE?

    I have made this recipe for years, except I do not use the salt and substitute crushed red pepper flakes for the chile flakes. I let it stew in the fridge for a few days before using. Those little baby watermelons you can buy are just the right amount to make a couple of nice sized jar fulls.

    I haven’t tried this recipe but on my own when I would buy an unsweet melon or watermelon from the market you know one that’s ripe just not sweet I would cut it up & pickle all the flesh of the watermelon & it absorbs so quickly like a sponge I can’t wait to try this recipe among some others I’ve seen on youtube.

      It's not how to cut the watermelon. It's about how to cut the watermelon while filming 😅 sometimes it is hard where or how to position your hands while filming to be able to show it on the camera.

    • @georgekatsinis5224
      @georgekatsinis5224 2 роки тому

      @@christinespov Why are you showing cutting the watermelon if it's not about cutting the watermelon? Aren't completion of the steps in the process the reason for the video? If not, just show us diced rind and say "Do this". Safety should be #1. some of the knife technique is risky and just asking for someone to be cut. Sharp knives make all cutting tasks safer.

    • @christinespov
      @christinespov  2 роки тому

      My point is... It is hard to show cutting a big watermelon in front of the camera while you have a tiny space to position the tripod. Try to put a camera in front of your face then cut a watermelon trying not to block the camera with your hands. Or put a camera on the same working space you are cutting and try not to make a shacky recording. And did you know that I have a problem with my fingers where I can't even open a bottle of water or even squeeze a lemon? Or that my fingers get stiff and I can't make a fist? Sometimes people just judge but don't know what really happens behind the scene.
