This is my first time seeing your page. Sad to see in the comments that he’s no longer on this side of Heaven. This video made me smile the way he speaks to you. I still hit the subscribe button, so I can go back and watch your other videos.💛
They look so pretty, like little jewells! I know in the South USA they make watermelon rind pickles but the candy sounds better! 😄❤
Pickles would be good too.

@@SpoonForkHeart I made it last night. It my new favorite summer time thing. Now I just want the watermelon just for the rind. 😁
Thank you! This looks wonderful. My mother used to pickle the rind. I decided to experiment and I steamed it, and made it into stir fry. I can’t wait to try this!!!
Wonderful! I hope you like it.
Oh my gosh that looks good and I love it's a little chewy. I've never tried candied watermelon rind. I am definitely going to make this. Thank you Siri! 💕
Hope you enjoy
You are a mind reader. I was just wondering what to do with water melon rinds. Thanks a lot. Stella
You’re welcome 😊
I'm going to get a watermelon today so I can start soaking the rind tonight!
You're going to love it.
I saw a different variation of this receipt excdept they used a salt brine, instead of baking soda. Why is baking soda used?
The other video also added the watermelon rind after the sugar-water was reduced, but yours is very interesting in that it turns clear, very cool!
Looking good! Would love to taste it haha… keep sharing please! I’m subscribed to your channel! 😀
Thanks for subbing!
Wow so interesting, looks so good. Thanks for sharing 😃❤❤❤
Thank you too
How long is it good for in the icebox?
Why use baking soda???
Because the watermelon rind will not be soft.
