The chills that flowed through me when tens of thousands of Fremen warriors raised their knife into the air when Paul shouted "LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS!" was real
It's terrific and terrifying
the movie changed its original meaning, in the Islamic saying its " long live the martyrs. ".
@@AaronOmar-co8bn FH supposedly got that phrase from Algerian freedom fighters..(From an X thread on this topic): "the original phrase in the book is ya hya chouhada, not shuhada. the language is based on arabic, its not exactly arabic. in the book the word chouhada translates to fighters, not martyrs"
@@koko40800 your wrong, dune source and its original saying "the exact reference" comes from a report {the Hindustan times} on the Algerian freedom fighters who chanted the Muslim saying, " long live the martyrs ". this was the only similar recorded war chant which existed before frank Herbert's specific dune book was made for that part of the lore. after which he copied and made it into his own, inspired by that war chant, just like how he took entire lines from a book on Muslim freedom fighters " the sabres of paradise ". the book of which he took most of the lines from for his book, if not probably the most inspiring book for him on his creation of " dune ".
source: Dune Part Two Trailer #2 by alt shift X
timestamp of the source in the video, 23:35
@@koko40800 other Muslim related sayings etc. during that specific period as well was also " God have mercy on the martyrs " or what I would presume they mean in translated Arabic is " May Allah have mercy on the martyrs " etc. etc
the inspiration behind dune has a whole lot more than expected. there are a lot of details which to consider.
This is one the greatest scenes in movie history. Total epicness
The scene was already a masterpiece. This edit somehow improved it. Great work
The Anakin transformation star wars never properly gave us
You need someone who can direct to do that and no someone who loves sells toys
There's so many incredible scenes in this movie but this might be my favourite. Everything about Paul from his walk to his voice shows a different man. As if the water of life killed Paul Atreides for the Lisan Al-Gaib to be born. Stilgar dropping to his knees as he completely believes in Paul's battlecry. It's equally heroic and horrifying to watch unfold.
Stilgar changed from a father Figuren and a friend to a religious believer
This is probably one of the top five best scenes in cinema all time.
really u think that? then u guys will surely fall for the real antichrist(al messiah) and mahdi.
@@BanglaKomic Except in this case, he actually is the real messiah of Dune.
@@herbertadams8433 ya lol in movie, the messiah tv series was interesting tho. from Netflix
"There is no one in this room who can stand against me" they were about to jump his ass lmaooo
Anger them, scare them, endear them…. He knew exactly what to say.
His skinny ass* lmao
They have no chance. He can literally scream kill each other or kneel and they’ll all obey.
@@bob_WRLD Paul meant none of them had a chance against him in a knife fight...and deep down they knew he spoke truth...Paul read and announced their fear and hesitation
This gotta be one of the best most cinematic edit I've ever seen for Dune so far
Give him the Oscar immediately.
Everyone was speechless in this scene. Absolute masterwork of an edit.
Such a master piece movie and this scene was one of the best cinematic moments ever. Absolute chills watching this on my own in the cinema. I feel like i have been spoiled in recent years with two of the best cinematic moments one of them being Top Gun Maverick when he flies one last test run was very intense and well executed then this
One of the greatest movies of the decade already
21 century*** easily
Always knew Timothy was a really good actor, but this scene only, gave me goosebumps!! Masterful performance!!! 😍 😍
ps: bloody brilliant video, kudos mate!!! 👍 👍
The scene shot from above as Paul moves through the huge crowd of Freman is a visual reference to him being the Kwisatz Haderach. In Dune part 1 Mohiam says "Like sifting sand through a screen we sift people". The scene from above resembles grains of sand with Paul sifting through them but being separate because he is the Kwisatz Haderach that the Bene Gesserit have been working towards all those years.
Nice one
One of the best film scenes ever 🥵
dude, wtf!!! what a sick edit. goose bumps the music, the scenes perfect! you are seriously talented
Everything about that scene was unbelievable, down to the body language
All I felt was a cycle of goosebumps. Over and over again. What an incredible compilation and an ode to a superlative theater experience. Dune 2 was outstanding and so is this edit. Hats off!
Coldest speech in recent movie history.
The bass when you hear it in theaters is so strong during this speech you feel the urge to join the Fremen in just bowing down to Paul.
This is the edit I've been waiting for. All of these Videos have been excellent but this is the one. Paul's ascension
Strong performance from Tim! His portrayal of power gave me chills the first time I saw it in the cinema. Especially impressive because of his slender frame and un-intimidating looks. Also reminds me of his speech in the The King (2019).
It was nearly something from a play from Shakespeare
the movie itself is such a masterpiece. Even the small cinematic details and timing like the shot of Jessica when she says "Slow down" and the camera immediately pans to Paul who is about to go off fully showing the confidence and the belief he had. Fully transformed into Lisan Al-Gaib.
Truely one of the best edits I’ve seen so far. Congrats
Messiah is gonna shock everyone when it comes out, an ending that no would expect as the final film in the trilogy
Trilogy? Children of Dune happens right after that and still has Paul in it
@@Baronstone Exactly, Children of Dune is a tragedy. When Paul understands that he cannot see the golden path but he son will and need to leave in order to allow his son sight to mature. It is a tragedy for a father to leave his son in order for his son to see what Paul could not.
@@Baronstone spoiler lol
@@grast5150 Paul could see it. He couldn't bear the weight of the guild to accomplish it.
@@BaronstoneI reckon Denis might combine parts of Children for part 3
This is the best edited Fantrailer I have seen so far.
Literally 👍👍
Charisma is a powerful and terrifying thing.
I feel like i could watch this forever, that's truly an amazing work
Loved it in theaters gave me chills and I was fired up with the fremen
THANK YOU DENIS VILLENEUVE! (And great video btw!)
little heavy on the slow-mo walk scenes, but w/e... still the best dune adaptation, by far.
This probably the best edit i've ever see! Great job
Long live the fighter!
Easely the best Dune Part Two edit, not too long, only epicness in the screen.
The best edit of dune hands down
I'm no fan of edits, AMVs, cringy tiktoks and all the lot.. but this edit is spectacular. Music, pacing, quality of both audio and video, choice of cuts.. I found myself going back to this video every day. Goosebumps every single time! Well done Moh3n
“What if I could be the One? This could be the moment you’ve been praying for your whole life” 🥶🥶🥶
Incredible work, man, this is the best Dune 2 edit I've seen, and I've seen a lot.
Chills...
How is this masterpiece not the original trailer for Part 2? This is simply amazing. Well done. Bravo!
This is really the best edit of dune. This should be the trailer tbh
THIS IS A GREAT EDIT. made the scene and the speech even more powerful!! well done!
I watched dune part 2 four times. Twice in imax, once in a regular theater, and once streaming. Amazing
Streaming?
Those are rookie numbers
When Lisan Al-Gaib speaks, it resonates in me.
"the hand of God by my witness"
The music that kicked in at "Duke of Arrakis" was chef's kiss
My bruh thinks that we don’t notice that he did the best edit of Dune II. Music and editing on fire🔥🔥🔥
amazing movie, amazing editing captured the energy really well.
This was my favorite scene in the whole movie. Rows by rows, people start kneeling down before him. The power he has and his transformation from Paul to the Kwiztach Haderach was utterly *chilling* in theatres 🥶💙
honestly one of the best edits ive seen goodjob.
Couldnt help but notice how Paul makes the shape of an eye as he walks through the crowd outside of the war council. Almost like its symbolizing the Fremen are making a path for his vision.
I like how the beginning of the video was framed where it was like Paul was seeing his visions simultaneously in the moment of his speech, and seeing Stilgars role in his desired future.
4K makes its even better. hats off dude
"DUKE OF ARRAKIS
THE HAND OF GOD BE MY WITNESS
I'M THE LISAN AL GAIB"
Man I wish there was a whole movie showing Paul at his peak power, just being OP as fuck. We get a taste of it here after he drinks the water of life but it’s towards the end of the movie. Dune messiah results in Paul basically renouncing his godhood. But man I just wish there was a whole movie of him just being light years ahead of everyone else. Also frank Hubert wrote this as a cautionary tale but I find it funny that everyone is making videos glorifying Pauls ascendance to godhood but I don’t blame everyone because it’s so badass.
If Herbert wanted us not to follow him, he shouldn't have made him so intoxicating. 🤣 It's almost like we never got to see peak Anakin or Vader and now everything is filling that in. I hope we don't have to wait 30 years for a peak Paul TV show. I won't make it. 😅
Because in many ways he was a super human; but there is a flaw in prescience, no matter how powerful the ability of the user is… but so few could attain this level, hence regular folks can’t comprehend.
@@emeraldcity789 but that's the whole point - it is so hard NOT to follow someone who truly has it all/to maintain your sense of independence when you are offered the opportunity to serve someone so great who is right there, in front of you.
Denis is going to make a movie for the audience. Even if it means straying from the book material. He said he will not make messiah unless it is better than part two.
@@timothydavidcurp Agreed. I want to fucking follow him...
This is one of the best dune edits I have seen. Great work!
I love this scene the most and was waiting for someone to upload it
This was by far the greatest movie I have ever seen.
great and awesome cut: it incorparates the deep symbolism of Dune: and any other prophecy: as the oracle said: "only if you know you are the one: you are the one"
I only wish I could see this scene for the first time again.
I'm gonna watch the movie for the 6th time tomorrow. All to relive those three minutes.
Let this short speech be among the greatest in cinematic history.
That entire scene gave me goosebumps it was SO POWERFUL! Timothee really did great!
One of the greatest edits I've seen. This is going to my favorite videos.
This movie shows how powerful and scary faith and fanatical devotion can be
Fanatical is bad no matter in what. Faith has nothing to do with it.
@@michabarwikowski9145 isnt being a fanatic same as being overreligious zealot?
That is exactly what Frank Herbert was going for.
@@Greeko_Poloz yep
@@patrik9328 What do you mean by being overeligious zealot? For example people who kill for christianity? Well they are not very religious then, because they are not following the 5th rule. Calling them overreligious is like calling Hitler overcaring for jews.
