I think Stevie might have sprinkled a little magic on Kenny Wayne when Kenny met him at age 7, because that sounded absolutely amazing. Kenny Wayne Shepherd is such a badass.
The great Bobby Rush on harp, at 89 still cranking it. KingSolomon Hicks keeping up with legends. Christopher Layton, Stevie Ray's drummer and the incomparable Reese Wynans playing SRVs classic
I almost expected to hear 'Man it's about to drive poor Stevie Ray insane' - this is so much Stevie's song but, wow what a blues gang here. thanks for the upload.
Reese Wynans on keys. Formerly with the predecessor band to the Allman Brothers before Gregg joined, then with Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. Now, with Joe Bonamassa.
He has multiple Dumbles in Fender shells. Clapton does as well. His two amps are probably literally a half a million dollars. John Mayer uses Dumbles that are $250,000 and had one break on stage a couple of years ago during a Dead show and literally his tech rolled ANOTHER one out there. Some dudes have all the luck. LOL!
@@pabloperez4063 Clapton plays old Fender Bandmasters modded by Dumble and he keeps all of them set to literally 7. He has two of them on stage at all times but one is what he's playing through. They are unreal loud and clear. I saw him a couple of years ago and he was using them. He has been using them for a while. If you go watch his Rig Rundown on Premier Guitar I was at the exact show where they done a rundown on him. He's extremely minimal with gear. He uses a Crybaby and a Leslie and that's literally it. His tone absolutely blossomed all over that arena though.
I have always said Kenny Wayne Shepherd is bad AZZ the thing is no matter what he plays .. But Especially When He does Play SRV He Make such Precision surgical Strikes On Every Fookin Note LOL When he Plays Come on part3 he doesnt miss a note This is proof that alot of ppl had underestimated him ... He Kills it
I'm a guitarist. Let's just admit that the vast majority of us not named Billy Gibbons or Jeff Beck are just nerds. However, there is nothing as cool as an old black blues harp player. The swagger is amazing and I wish I had it. LOL!
Kenny is playing his ass off as he should, SRV would approve, i believe. Joe was good too, but i don't know what song he was playing, just jamming, i suppose. It's great to see Chris Layton & Reese together again, paying homage to their late great band leader. That harp was on fire too, couldn't hold him back.
He grew up imitating Stevie Ray Vaughan I must say he has done a good job of it if there had not been a Stevie Ray Vaughan there never would have been a Kenny Wayne Shepherd
11000 people checked out this video anyway, because we are DieHard fans of Kenny Wayne shepherd. Not because we like cheap sound and video, that would be an oxymoron. It must be just UA-cam's way of doing things
Because he's SRV. Many copied him but NOBODY can do it as well as HIM. Many talented players learned from him including KWS but SRV is still the undisputed KING.

Well Hell,....beautiful experience people. Ty
You know Steve is looking down with a big smile on his face.
❤Astounding, Kenny Wayne
KWS brought the fire and the rage! Wow!!

Chris Layton taking out his monitor like “yeah he’s about to give er” will never get old
Wow! This is outstanding! What a bunch of talent there on that stage...

Dagburnit Kenny Wayne, you’re killing it!
How fun is this? Wish SRV was still with us to join in the Jam.
He's watching! (:
Damn !!!
Kenny's got a monster tone. Never mind that he looks like the grandchild of David Hubbins.

I agree! I'd love to have a concert for those who are not great...but can play!

SRV taught Kenny very well. He's awesome. And a good cool dude I might add.
Chris Layton...wow...how many times has he played that one. I like Joe B, but that song is MUCH better when played on a Stratocaster
Would have liked to see Tommy Shannon with them
REESE is is the best

How did Stevie Ray sing it better even while playing guitar?

@@tedmarakas2626 Agreed
Kenny Wayne Shepherd n'est pas très connu en France sauf par les mordus de la vieille école et pourtant c'est un guitariste exceptionnel ...
C'est vrai, il est excellent et pas exubérant
I think Joe is overrated, KWS smoked him,
They’re both great guitarist…
@ericcolville4885 Sorry, nope, he's okay but not like WOW, WAY OVERATED, good guitar collection tho
@@Anthony-qb2gr It would seem your impression of you is way overrated as well.
That melted my face, so good!!
Bonamassa is too much Clapton witch is so boring. KWS is most true to at least the Stevies version, he shines above the other..!
This would be great band if they had a singer this guy can’t sing
