Truly a guitar great. Saw him at Warrington in 2023 and Frome in 2019. How about playing the UK Midlands. I suggest The Assembly in Leamington Spa. Great venue.
Hey, I sent a friend of mine, a couple of your songs. Robert Plant, he liked them. Always was a blues guy. I told him that this is the band we've been waiting for. I feel I know my music. You are now officially my favorite band. God Bless you all and keep playing your awesome music... JEWELS 🧎
I saw KWS @ Memphis in May , in 96! He was just getting going… Awesome guitar player from my home state of Louisiana! He lived on the west side of the state I live on the east side ….
I was there that night at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater (2/10/23) when Kenny broke the neck of the guitar. He was playing the guitar as it lay flat on the stage! The guitar tech dashed onstage like a paramedic and looked stricken, LOL. KWSBand was AWESOME. They were ON their game!
Holy sh*t! I wonder if there's video of that. I gotta see that. They filmed the show in Northfield Ohio a couple weeks ago, on-stage filming and cameras perched out in the audience. Is that a thing now? Never seen it before at any concert I've been to.
Damnit!! We saw him the day before at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles and he didnt play this! I was hoping they would play it but they didnt. This is just a very cool, great sounding rendition of SRVs version, the back half is really cool and Ive never heard them do it like this before.
Remember when KWS was a child prodigy?!? I went to a show in the late 90's on the Trouble Is tour... thought we were going to get back stage and hang with the band, but at the last hurdle they only let the girls in!
Went to see KWS Band last night in NE Ohio. I was SO disappointed they didn't do this song. I love Kenny's version of this and soooo wanted to see him let loose on this. Very dead audience.... maybe that's why. We were the only ones standing up for most of the show.
I didn't mean to sound negative with this post. KWS Band was tight tight tight as usual.... awesome vocals, keyboard outta sight, all that. Kenny is always very personable with the audience, and I love how he spotlights and respects his band members' talents. I've seen 'em before and I'll see 'em again! But comparing shows at an outdoor blues festival in MS versus indoor assigned seating venue in a damn casino in OH.... hands down, festivals rock!
Kenny Wayne Sheppard is awesome. He’s at the top of his game. Very cool rendition of Hendrix Voodoo Chile. It may just as well be as good as SRVs version. Well no sense in comparing. The singer is very good.
Guitar Groupie: Have you ever seen this person? ua-cam.com/video/a_DNuT7J1wk/v-deo.html Found them while looking for music to add to playlist. I know nothing of guitars, but am an avid music lover, and this performance just is so beautiful. That instrument is something I've never seen before.
Supposed to practise for a concert with my band, but i keep just watching KWS video's!!! I have a problem!!!
I love Kenny, I have loved him since he came out…..♥️♥️♥️🥰

Fex that really made my day . In my opinion the greatest riff in guitar history....ta Jimmy....Ta Kenny..... genius makes a certain few immortal.
Now, if you could play the House of Blues in Boston, you'll be getting somewhere (only kidding, Dallas) :).

Aw Hell Yea! I am impressed Kenny can Jam! Blown away John Oliver on keyboards.

1 week prior to this @Clearwster show,. Kenny broke this guitar at the neck plate. Glad to see it rocking again.

Guess they changed it up....I've seen them 33 times and they always end with this.
looks like "Snapper" Chris Layton back there on the drums?!

iPhone quality! Very loud and excited crowd.
Here’s another performance of Voodoo Child that I captured a few years ago.
