a few months ago, I made a post on Twitter about a video of a Kraftwerk show from 1981, that had Depeche Mode as an opening act. I knew there was footage of the concert, but I also found out that the 16mm film reel that contained the footage (shot by Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode) was thrown in the garbage after DM reviewed the performances. I am currently on a plane to obtain the film. It turns out that Martin Gore pointed a 8mm movie camera at the projection screen, so it is still going to be withheld from public viewing, but I'll try to save it.

The original movie landing was good video quality, It only look terrible because of the limited of tv broadcast technology at the time,

Two quick amendments to the moon landing part: Michael Collins didn’t walk on the moon, but stayed in the command module as Neil and Buzz landed; and the 16mm film footage was from a film camera in the lunar module mounted to the window - the lost footage was from a black and white 10fps progressive scan TV camera that was deployed from the side of the module and then later mounted on a tripod.

Very interesting video and I like how you cover historical lost media as I haven’t seen much coverage from lost media youtubers about those topics. No offense to anyone in the lost media community searching for the following but I get tired hearing about stuff like lost cartoon episodes as it doesn’t really interest me much anymore. If you ever make a video like this again I would be interested in seeing you check out the Appeal of June 18th speech as it is something I would love to find.
