I know lost logos aren’t quite as mainstream in lost media, but someone found a lost MGM logo that only appeared at the end of original film copies of “The Pogo Special Birthday Special” from 1969. It’s referred to as the “Cold Cream Jar”, and it was found and uploaded to UA-cam on May 15th.
I’m fortunate to say that a piece of lost media that I have been researching for years has been found a couple of months ago, a video game called Kiss Immortals. Thanks to a couple of folks, the whole game is available to watch online and I am so happy to see it complete after 6 years of researching and 22-23 years of it gone missing. It’s a great year for lost media so far

Because of distribution issues involving the game, the first 9 are available to play as I have a copy of it but as for the rest of it, I can’t play it and some pieces of it are missing. There are videos up here and the pinned comment explains it better than I can but basically the last 18 webisodes were recorded footage only and the choices you make in the game don’t work don’t work? I don’t know exactly all I know is I can only watch it. Despite that I am very grateful that we have the rest of the game at last
I'm not in the lost media community but I'm fascinated by how many things are uncovered that were buried over time. It's impressive how many work together to find answers to these lost media cases.
Now we add 3 more groundbreaking finds to the list! The 1st 2 were of course, Episode 847 of Sesame Street, and Marble Madness ll, there could be more from 2022, but I either don’t think they had as big of an impact or I don’t remember them (maybe reply if you have some more that need to be mentioned!) We add 3 More to that list now, those being the Super Why Pilot for how happy and enthusiastic almost everyone was on it for being found, JBVO, which someone miraculously remembered having all the Episodes for, including a Pilot for the show, WHICH WE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW EXISTED, and the final one is the Humpback Hop, which not only Theo Mondle, the creator of the Song, didn’t have it, but it was found out of complete nowhere! Edit: A HUGE FIND WAS MADE! THE BLUES CLUES PILOT HAS BEEN FOUND! YES, BLUES PRINTS! I really don’t know how it got found, but it was a HUGE Hunt, so I believe it goes with these finds, just for that alone!
The animatic to Genndy Tartakovsky's unreleased Popeye film from Sony Pictures Animation surfacing online is probably _the_ biggest find for lost media in 2022. I mean, it's an entire cancelled animated theatrical feature film (and I think it's the first of its kind to surface online in full, too); You really don't see that happen often, if ever.

It was basically Johnny Bravo’s own Reality Show where he interviews guests from other Cartoons like Scooby Doo, and plays fan requested episodes, from basically anything animation, because he once got requested and played an Episode of Dragon Ball Z!

As Jumpstart/Math Blaster/School of Dragons begins to shut down, it's reassuring seeing how lost media preservation efforts have increased and improved. That people are making more of an effort to search through and collect everything to prevent it from being fully lost media. Great work, all. Great work with progress.

One lost media find I'm super excited about is Um Jammer Lammy Now, an arcade version of the second game in the parappa series. Nobody could find any arcade machine for a long while, and then one just sorta showed up recently. There's a lot of low quality or halfway finished data in the ps1 version of the game that we can now see in high quality with this find.
I woke up one morning, went on youtube to see if there was anything interesting to watch, and saw the Super Why pilot in my recommendations. I almost dropped my phone in shock, I couldn't believe it, I had watched your video about it being a dead end, so I watched it and I was so happy. I actually watched Super Why when I was a kid, yet seeing this pilot, I prefer it more than the final product, I can't wait to see more lost media found.
It's good that people are now familiar with which media is lost. I think that will go a long way to help find more. Lots of people have large unorganized media archives, but they don't know that anyone is looking for something they have. Channels like this do a lot to help these searches. After all, every single search ends when someone who has it saved finds out someone is looking for it.

The Fosters Home "Who's That?" Promos were also used for Cartoon Network MX to tease the rebrand to CN City on new years day 2005, and that entire set is lost

I used to stay up late at night when I was smaller to watch oobi and that commercial would come on sometime sorta unrelated but I love how seeing George Lopez face go up and down on tv at 3 am was such a shared experience for people… used to scare the shit out of me lol!! I just watched it and fully understand why it was the catalyst for one of the largest educational children's shows ever. Its unfortunate that things like it are getting rarer and rarer in modern media for young kids. I myself am part of the fringe years where I grew up between when those horrible youtube "kids" videos released and true educational content was being shown, and seeing what stuff was being watched by those who were born less than two years after me is just terrible.
@@JoopiterGD It must be a generational thing to hate the era of preschool shows after one's own, because Super Why as it aired was absolute trash. The designs were ugly, the "follow the leader" fake interactivity with the characters staring at the viewers with their dead eyes, waiting to have them answer their own questions, and just being such patronizing pap. I always hated that era of preschool educational shows. There's characters gently talking to the home audience like they're a warm, welcoming bunch of friends, and then there's "well, Dora does it so Mickey and Winnie the Pooh have to do it too." I'm so glad we've moved on from that. That said, I am happy this pilot was found and at least the original art style and animation is a great deal more charming than the bug eyed, Funko Pop PS 2 Cut scene looking nonsense that the show ended up with.

The Super Why pilot being found through someone retracing a lead reminds me of the post about the mystery push pin character and it insisting the character was not from spy kids amongst a list of other properties... only for someone to check spy kids and see a figure of the character in the first 5 minutes...

Wow, this is a great year for lost media. The super why pilot, the humpback hop, JBVO x Dragon Ball and lots of others in the span of 6 months?! This is lost media heaven- all we need is smashfest and the backyardigans pilot and it would be the perfect year
It's so surreal seeing so many holy grails of the Lost Media community being found (especially Super Why's pilot!!) that we would've thought 10 years ago that we won't find. I feel our next big break or found piece will be exciting! Personally for me I would love to see the cancelled and lost Big Finish audio for Absent Friends be found or released soon. Barrowman allegations aside, it's the audio that Ianto actually gets to bond with the Doctor that wasnt trying to reach him during Journey's End. I feel like Big Finish should just release it with a special edition or release so it won't be rotting in the jewel cases their in. There was a lot of cancelled Jack media due to this that wasn't just an audio drama.
I remember all those lost Foster's bumpers clear as day! Especially the Who's That Imaginary Friend bumpers from 2004 and Ed, Edd, and Eduardo ones! I always had a blast watching all of them!

When you started talking about the dora commercial, I felt like I had a vauge memory of it. Just watched it and I DEFINITELY saw it on TV. I remember seeing it on my mom's TV specifically, so it would have had to have been in the morning from 6-7 while I was getting ready for school, az that was the only time we were allowed to use her TV. I know I remembered it, because I don’t remember celebrities well at all, but heard his voice in my head saying "I'm supposed to be on Nick at Night"

There is some lost media I have been searching for. I have been trying to find all the episodes of the Bod Squad. It was a series of interstitials that aired on TVO Kids (viewable in the Canadian province of Ontario and the states, Michigan, New York and possibly more) that would air between shows. They were highly creative but extremely low budget PSAs that promoted healthy eating towards kids. they would often parody pop culture things such as movies, shows, and more. This series aired in several incarnations from around years 1996 to 2007. Several episodes were made but almost none of them can be found online. I don't want this show to be lost. I have been looking for this show since 2016 and I have not had much luck. I did find a few episodes since but it is still nowhere near as much as what was made in all. I would like to find more of this show but I don't know who to contact. Watching these videos has inspired me to try and find these lost media pieces.
Not sure if it was a bumper or show thing but my best guesses are it was from MTV or Adultswim as when I was growing up I remembered seeing weird animations pop up on tv frequently of the inside of a computer or something like that as there was a lot of green microchip walls with a few organic parts like brains eyes and possibly others that weren’t too long. On top of that being a robotic voice at the end of them if I remember correctly. Never been able to find those again
Something else was also partially found recently. There was a video distribution company that did stuff with VHS's and such, and one song they used, called Please Don't Stop was completely unknown and obviously lost. We partially found it this year, I don't know if the full thing was found, but it could've been. I know I didn't word this well, I'm half asleep but wanted to bring it up before I forgot about it.

I REMEMBER THE GEORGE LOPEZ/DORA COMMERCIAL. I'm not part of the lost media community but I like listening to these videos while I work. This was the first time where I can be positive that I saw the media in question back in the day. It's wild that it has been recovered, as I forgot it ever existed years ago!
I would deeply appreciate it if someone could find some episodes of my dad's television show. It was called "Music & More" and it was a faith-based music variety show produced out of North-West Alabama in the early 1990s. Dozens of episodes were made, but only my family only managed to keep one episode on VHS. The original tv station no longer exists and all the original tapes have been lost to time and space.
One of the things i would love to find is the Blues Prints, which is frustrating, because it's not exactly lost media, but closely safeguarded by Nick, because they've been showing us snippets of it.

I clearly remember Ed, Edd y Eduardo~ The main ones I remember is Eduardo placed in a scene where Double D expresses regret over eating Jawbreakers when Ed bought them instead of Fudge for his sister Sarah. Then there was one where Eduardo was encountered by the Kanker sisters as they try to hit on him (Tho it's just using the original audio from the episode) as he runs away from them.
Out of these discoveries, I was most excited about the Humpback Hop resurfacing. I thought for sure it was a dead end, but then it showed up from that mystery uploader!
Wow! The 1999 Super Why pilot was found? That is amazing. Now, I am thinking about the Peep and the Big Wide World pilot, as well as the Me & My Friends pilot. Edit: The following is my reaction to the Super Why pilot episode mentioned above (It contains spoilers!): I saw the Super Why pilot episode, and I must say that it is really good. I never saw the pilot as a young child, obviously, but I still felt a sense of nostalgia just watching this. The use of stop-time animation as well as some memorable and cool music really made the pilot seem fun for both kids and adults to watch. Also, I think the fact that the story of the episode (in this case The Three Little Pigs) still followed the same traditional format as other versions of that same story is a bonus. Personally, I felt that the Super Why TV series could have been better by having the main characters not directly influence the outcomes of the featured stories beyond recognition (I never considered that until I sort of aged out of watching it). Also, I noticed how the pilot emphasized a common sense topic rather than a life lesson as typically seen in a Super Why TV episode. In the pilot, in spite of how Willa (the red-haired, yellow-skinned character) made Willy (the purple-skinned character also known as Super Why) sad, Willa was never taught anything about how to treat others. Rather, during the end of the pilot, Willy learned how to fend for himself during a specific situation. Maybe this indirectly teaches audiences to stand up for themselves when others interfere? If one looks at it that way, this pilot can seem to teach a life lesson. However, the pilot emphasizes how certain materials and objects can be stronger against certain forces (in this case air movement) than other materials. Therefore, the show teaches both reading comprehension and either common sense or basic science (though basic science may be a little narrow if different traditional stories were to be involved in each episode). Something else I found interesting is that Willy's animal-resembling sidekick during the 1999 pilot was named Roo-Hoo. Roo-Hoo did not contribute much to the pilot overall. Maybe that was addressed when creating Woofster for the TV series? Overall, I could only wonder what the Super Why TV series would have been like if the show maintained just about everything the 1999 pilot episode had to offer (such as the stop-time animation, the musical style, and the main characters.)
y'know, theres a partially lost vocaloid song i've been wanting to hear for so long called interface (that 10ish second clip sounds so good), but i believe it has hit dead ends and we'll never find it but seeing the the super why pilot AND the humpback hop getting found gives me a slight glimmer of hope, dunno why as the super why pilot has nothing to do with interface... however, i can understand why with the humpback hop anyways the interface remake is so good i recommend listening to it
I remember there used be a lost Max and Moritz animation. Which cam be viewed in the Lost Archives nowadays in full. On UA-cam there's some of it. That made me hella happy as a Max and Moritz fan

Someone found a Noggin bumper last week that no one knew existed, and he says that he remembers more lost things.

In May 31th they found a lost game called "Roly-Poly´s no Sekai Ryokou", an Japanese edutainment game from 1998. Pretty cool!

There's characters gently talking to the home audience like they're a warm, welcoming bunch of friends, and then there's "well, Dora does it so Mickey and Winnie the Pooh have to do it too." I'm so glad we've moved on from that. That said, I am happy this pilot was found and at least the original art style and animation is a great deal more charming than the bug eyed, Funko Pop PS 2 Cut scene looking nonsense that the show ended up with.

The Super Why pilot being found through someone retracing a lead reminds me of the post about the mystery push pin character and it insisting the character was not from spy kids amongst a list of other properties... only for someone to check spy kids and see a figure of the character in the first 5 minutes...

It's so surreal seeing so many holy grails of the Lost Media community being found (especially Super Why's pilot!!) that we would've thought 10 years ago that we won't find. I feel our next big break or found piece will be exciting! Personally for me I would love to see the cancelled and lost Big Finish audio for Absent Friends be found or released soon. Barrowman allegations aside, it's the audio that Ianto actually gets to bond with the Doctor that wasnt trying to reach him during Journey's End. I feel like Big Finish should just release it with a special edition or release so it won't be rotting in the jewel cases their in. There was a lot of cancelled Jack media due to this that wasn't just an audio drama.
I remember all those lost Foster's bumpers clear as day! Especially the Who's That Imaginary Friend bumpers from 2004 and Ed, Edd, and Eduardo ones! I always had a blast watching all of them!

Super Why was my childhood and I'm glad the pilot was found
When you started talking about the dora commercial, I felt like I had a vauge memory of it. Just watched it and I DEFINITELY saw it on TV. I remember seeing it on my mom's TV specifically, so it would have had to have been in the morning from 6-7 while I was getting ready for school, az that was the only time we were allowed to use her TV.
I know I remembered it, because I don’t remember celebrities well at all, but heard his voice in my head saying "I'm supposed to be on Nick at Night"

I rewatched the entire George Lopez series because i remembered loving it when i was 7 or 8 (im 20 now) all becauae of the George Lopez and Dora colab
There is some lost media I have been searching for. I have been trying to find all the episodes of the Bod Squad. It was a series of interstitials that aired on TVO Kids (viewable in the Canadian province of Ontario and the states, Michigan, New York and possibly more) that would air between shows. They were highly creative but extremely low budget PSAs that promoted healthy eating towards kids. they would often parody pop culture things such as movies, shows, and more. This series aired in several incarnations from around years 1996 to 2007. Several episodes were made but almost none of them can be found online. I don't want this show to be lost. I have been looking for this show since 2016 and I have not had much luck. I did find a few episodes since but it is still nowhere near as much as what was made in all. I would like to find more of this show but I don't know who to contact. Watching these videos has inspired me to try and find these lost media pieces.

Not sure if it was a bumper or show thing but my best guesses are it was from MTV or Adultswim as when I was growing up I remembered seeing weird animations pop up on tv frequently of the inside of a computer or something like that as there was a lot of green microchip walls with a few organic parts like brains eyes and possibly others that weren’t too long. On top of that being a robotic voice at the end of them if I remember correctly.

Something else was also partially found recently. There was a video distribution company that did stuff with VHS's and such, and one song they used, called Please Don't Stop was completely unknown and obviously lost. We partially found it this year, I don't know if the full thing was found, but it could've been. I know I didn't word this well, I'm half asleep but wanted to bring it up before I forgot about it.
It's from a band called "Aladdin's Magic Rub" but no one quite knows yet who's behind the band

I REMEMBER THE GEORGE LOPEZ/DORA COMMERCIAL. I'm not part of the lost media community but I like listening to these videos while I work. This was the first time where I can be positive that I saw the media in question back in the day. It's wild that it has been recovered, as I forgot it ever existed years ago!

I would deeply appreciate it if someone could find some episodes of my dad's television show. It was called "Music & More" and it was a faith-based music variety show produced out of North-West Alabama in the early 1990s. Dozens of episodes were made, but only my family only managed to keep one episode on VHS. The original tv station no longer exists and all the original tapes have been lost to time and space.
Even tho i might not help much because of my age, I suggest making a page about this on the LMW.
One of the things i would love to find is the Blues Prints, which is frustrating, because it's not exactly lost media, but closely safeguarded by Nick, because they've been showing us snippets of it.
I’d be surprised if they didn’t have it and that was all they had but they probably have it somewhere I’m surprise some props from the pilot didn’t appear at the blues clues museum exhibit for the anniversary

The main ones I remember is Eduardo placed in a scene where Double D expresses regret over eating Jawbreakers when Ed bought them instead of Fudge for his sister Sarah.
Then there was one where Eduardo was encountered by the Kanker sisters as they try to hit on him (Tho it's just using the original audio from the episode) as he runs away from them.
I want that lost Making Fiends promo to be found so badly 😂
Out of these discoveries, I was most excited about the Humpback Hop resurfacing. I thought for sure it was a dead end, but then it showed up from that mystery uploader!

Wow! The 1999 Super Why pilot was found? That is amazing. Now, I am thinking about the Peep and the Big Wide World pilot, as well as the Me & My Friends pilot.

The following is my reaction to the Super Why pilot episode mentioned above (It contains spoilers!):
I saw the Super Why pilot episode, and I must say that it is really good. I never saw the pilot as a young child, obviously, but I still felt a sense of nostalgia just watching this. The use of stop-time animation as well as some memorable and cool music really made the pilot seem fun for both kids and adults to watch. Also, I think the fact that the story of the episode (in this case The Three Little Pigs) still followed the same traditional format as other versions of that same story is a bonus. Personally, I felt that the Super Why TV series could have been better by having the main characters not directly influence the outcomes of the featured stories beyond recognition (I never considered that until I sort of aged out of watching it).
Also, I noticed how the pilot emphasized a common sense topic rather than a life lesson as typically seen in a Super Why TV episode. In the pilot, in spite of how Willa (the red-haired, yellow-skinned character) made Willy (the purple-skinned character also known as Super Why) sad, Willa was never taught anything about how to treat others. Rather, during the end of the pilot, Willy learned how to fend for himself during a specific situation. Maybe this indirectly teaches audiences to stand up for themselves when others interfere? If one looks at it that way, this pilot can seem to teach a life lesson. However, the pilot emphasizes how certain materials and objects can be stronger against certain forces (in this case air movement) than other materials. Therefore, the show teaches both reading comprehension and either common sense or basic science (though basic science may be a little narrow if different traditional stories were to be involved in each episode).
Something else I found interesting is that Willy's animal-resembling sidekick during the 1999 pilot was named Roo-Hoo. Roo-Hoo did not contribute much to the pilot overall. Maybe that was addressed when creating Woofster for the TV series?
Overall, I could only wonder what the Super Why TV series would have been like if the show maintained just about everything the 1999 pilot episode had to offer (such as the stop-time animation, the musical style, and the main characters.)

y'know, theres a partially lost vocaloid song i've been wanting to hear for so long called interface (that 10ish second clip sounds so good), but i believe it has hit dead ends and we'll never find it but seeing the the super why pilot AND the humpback hop getting found gives me a slight glimmer of hope, dunno why as the super why pilot has nothing to do with interface... however, i can understand why with the humpback hop

When you showed PBS Kids-related B-roll when talking about promos, I thought you were about to talk about the one with the Cowboy Bebop theme and was about to comment, "But that one was already found!" This is why it's wise to watch videos all the way through before commenting.
