For the Corey Feldman pool table scene It's a still from the movie Satan's Bed made in 1965, the woman is an unknown and younger Yoko Ono. It was made by Michael and Roberta Findlay, who were notorious for the particularly rough sexploitation films they produced in the 1960's. As to why it was put in there, I couldn’t tell you. Edit: as I was in a hurry to type this out I made the mistake of saying it was yoko ono, I’ve been corrected in that it’s actually Findlay on the table and yoko comes in later
Ok, so believe it or not, I actually have a personal history with Ron Brown(the puppeteer). He would occasionally do puppet shows at my local rec center in Florida that my grandma would take me to as a kid. I remember my grandma was talking about how he got arrested years ago, and she showed a video of me watching him do his show….. I never knew the whole reason that he was arrested until now, so it’s kinda uncomfortable knowing I was just a couple of feet from that man…..
Is that really a "personal history" with the man? So all those kids in the audience of the TV taping can claim they had a "personal history" with him? Even if they never interacted with him directly outside of being a few feet away from him? Cute story though.
What's really sad is that Christine's wish for more news stories that are meant to help the community never came true, as those stories are basically nonexistent these days.
Luckly it didn't require her suicide for me to stop reading the news. I hate news, and I find all ways to stop reading news as it's only depressing and anxiety.
The calm tone in Christines voice is chilling. Knowing what shes about to do theres no fear or hesitation in her voice, only determination. That’s the voice of a woman who’s certain that she doesn’t want to live any longer. She’s not afraid to lose the life she hates. It’s disturbing on another level. Rest in peace Christine. (Guys it’s ok, i fixed the spelling mistake. Please stop fighting about it)
By the Brady Ostrisk one I was having like chest pains from feeling so uneasy. I'm not sure if this is wise for me to watch or not heh. Like.....I'm in total despair right now haha.
Just to add myself to people saying that... The Yahoo Messenger conversation recreation is so much spot-on + the blend in of visuals for the pictures and other info. The amount of effort to be period-accurate is much appreciated. Great work!
how period accurate is it really? stori happened in 2012 not 2004. Old pedo still using old tech I get but I don't know about "period" accurate. Technically accurate?
The fact that you went all the way to film your own re-enactment of the Craiglist murder as opposed to relying on cheesy stock video clips like most other channels would do is really impressive.
The idea of lost media is just fascinating to me, think bout how much stuff has been lost to time, which can we recover, and which are gone forever. Great video!
tape four is so sad. she sounded like a very well-spoken, intelligent, and down-to-earth woman who just had a lot of misfortunes. the irony in her line before committing and the fact that she predicted when and what condition she’d be in after is *chilling.*
@@ChristopherGray00 Yeah But she’d much more likely be outright dead than alive whatsoever after a suicide attempt like that. That’s why it’s a bit crazy she predicted she wouldn’t die immediately.
Even sadder is to think her whole mental condition came along with mere hormonal issues, since she appears to have been struggling with ovarian cysts...
I dont get the line "the doctors pressured her" though. No they just told the truth - she lost an ovary and was on a very limited timeframe for kids. It makes it seem like the doctors did something wrong when they didnt
For anyone wondering about the Corey Felman scene, the internet has identified it as a scene from a 1960's movie called Satan's Bed. Why this was shown briefly in his music video is unclear, but the source at least is now.
"as it turns out, some of the darkest lost media out there seems to have always existed... among us." You have no idea how incredibly difficult it is to resist the temptation to make the obvious joke.
@@fernandoblengio there was a popular video game called among us back then and there were a bunch of memes surrounding it so that phrase became a joke
There's a couple of youtubers that just baffle me with their production value. You're one of them. The research, the editing, the aesthetic, everything is top notch, dude. Inspiring.
Brooke Slocum’s case is extremely depressing. It wasn’t hugely famous and occurred well into the online age so when you google her name it’s very easy to find her old social media (twitter, pinterest, etc) and they’re all abandoned as if she’d simply forgotten about them in 2013-2014 and gone on with life. She even has a pin labeled “Baby and future stuff” with an engagement ring in it. She was so young and had no clue she would end up being another horror story about internet safety. I honestly hope the footage is never released. I think she deserves that little scrap of dignity in death, that will always be more important than my own/others’ morbid curiosity.
I hope the footage is accidentally or purposely destroyed. I can’t even fathom how awful it is that there is footage of such brutality just sitting around. That’s a real person who isn’t here to defend herself or uphold her own privacy. 18years old is just a teen. A kid. You said it, this one was extremely depressing.
There's worse footage you can find on the internet, and it's something you can easily find if you wanted to. It would just be more footage added to all the messed up stuff that's already on the internet.
@@allenmk138 why would you say this? That footage shouldn’t be online either. Insanely disrespectful to victims and pure evil and you’re trying to pass it off as just “stuff online”. Please seek professional mental health assistance. Jesus f*cking Christ.
Christ, you are at the top of your game right now. Blessed to be able to watch it. The amount of research and dexterity to put it together is remarkable.
The fact that Christine wanted to do stories that helped her community, despite her own depression, is so tragic. Her story always stuck with me, and I can only hope that she's in a better place now despite the horrific nature of her passing.
She's just the beginning of a landslide of depression by women who think a career is the pinnacle of their life's work. When they hit the age of not being able to conceive and retire to an empty lonely depressing home and realizing she chose a job over her greatest in life "motherhood" their be on meds and be miserable and a lot may be suicidal. It's a sad foretelling of America future. Ladies, You can blame feminism and liberalism for your situation.
Some of the most depressed people wear the most beautiful smiles all the time. Humans have to push change or the growing evil in our world will win. There’s no coming back if it does. I’m not old but I’m older. I can remember being taught that when you ask someone how they’re doing actually mean that question then actually listen if that person needs to talk. How are you is now a flippant greeting that receives an almost programmed reply. I’m fine or I’m good.. How are you? We are losing the very thing that makes us human… our humanity
i have never felt so compelled to leave a comment on a youtube video until now. i just came across this channel and i’m so excited i did. your content is exactly what i’ve been looking for and i applaud you for all the effort you’ve put into production. the quality is amazing and i enjoy the VHS vibes immensely. just wanted to leave this comment to let you know i appreciate your work, and i’ll definitely be tuning in to binge in the future (aka rn) keep up the great work and thank you for making these amazing videos 🙌🏻⭐️
I never thought I'd hear the Christine audio. I thought that was fully lost. It's well known in the lost media circle as completely missing. Wow. It's really interesting to listen to how calm she sounds.
@Dalton Naylor really? i used to follow alot of horror instagram accounts. i couldve sworn they posted it once and removed it minutes after. i thought that the footage had been found.
SOLVED - Corey Feldman Music Video - The woman on the pool table is named Roberta Findlay. This is a scene from the 1965 Grindhouse film “Satan’s Bed.”
@@justinhamilton8647 I thought that Yoko Ono was it the film, but that wasn’t her in the pool table scene. I could be mistaken though. I truly think it’s Roberta, but who knows. 🤷🏻
@TommyTallNose It could have been put in for numerous reasons, perhaps it was some kind of joke, or maybe an attempt by a disgruntled overworked editor who wanted to see the singers downfall. Or most likely it was put in to make the song seem more edgy and cool.
YES! I recognized the shot from a VHS tape of roughie trailers from Something Weird Video, "The Worst of Twisted Sex" that I purchased something like 30 years ago.
IMDB for that film shows the woman on the table in their preview image but from a different angle. In the credits it lists "Roberta Findlay ... Girl Tied to Pool Table (as Anna Riva) ". There is also has a trivia item "A clip of Roberta Findlay tied down to a pool table somehow found itself spliced into a broadcast of Corey Feldman's presentation of his 1989 song "Something in your Eyes," creating something of a Lost Media mystery as many didn't know of this film's existence. Before the mystery was solved, many claimed the clip either belonged to a snuff film, or it was a footage filmed by a serial killer before murdering a victim. The issue was brought forward again in 2022 on UA-cam when it got wider attention. Sleuths then chanced upon this film which had the infamous clip in it and solved the mystery."
That Craigslist story is absolutely heartbreaking. That poor girl was being tortured and killed by that lunatic with cops watching his house but not enough evidence to act.
Plus, her "boyfriend" sounds more like a sex trafficker to me. She was 8 months pregnant and 18? So he impregnated her when she was NEWLY 18 at the least, and was "escorting her" to meet up with craigslist Johns? Yeah that's pimping. A 31yr old man impregnated a barely legal girl and then trafficked her. Good riddance to him.
This is the first time watching something that has f*cked up my mood. This is a good thing some of the biggest critiques of true crime are how UA-camrs, podcasters, etc is how horrible things that have happened to people are treated as entertainment. Not only Nexpo made an amazing video, but does an amazing job at delivering the information without making light of what happened to the victims.
Christine's case really hit me in a way. The poor woman. I wonder if there is any sort of memorial to her. Just so sad to think that she finally got to a point where she thought she could help her community and bring meaningful news outside of the dark and gruesome world we live in and she was denied that. Rest well Christine. You weren't for not.
It just makes you realize how garbage news has been for decades. Even back in the 70s, it was more focused on "if it bleeds, it leads" rather than actual substance. Propaganda then, propaganda now. Sad how she was so disheartened by what the industry (and her career) had been reduced to.
It reminds me of the game "We Become What We Behold" News spreads negativity and violence and shuns out the positive, changing those who watch it into subservient slaves to the media they've consumed. They find every little negative thing in everything, somehow transforming something positive to negative. It's awful how this has stayed the same for decades. I hope the wishes of Christine come true and that her situation will never have to happen again.
My wife is a child trauma psychiatrist and you wouldn’t believe how prevalent absolutely evil abuse of children is. It’s literally everywhere. Like an invisible darkness you can’t see, but it’s all around you. I have to limit the stories she tells me because it’s hard not to sink into despair. The world is a dark place.
i've seen stuff on that level, it definitely sticks with you but it is only at the forefront of your mind for a few days, for obvious reasons i wouldn't recommend it, i am just a curious person.
Yeah, it must have been on par with the Toybox killings but at least with that one you could comfort yourself in knowing that it'll be used to put the killer behind bars. In Brooke's case on the other hand the killer decided to take the easy way out and you're just left sifting through the aftermath.
@@ChristopherGray00 I watched the two guys one icepick or whatever it was and the Asian guy in Canada that killed, had sex with, and ate some guy he met. Those stuck with me for sure and I said I’d never look for any of that stuff again.
10 months late, but the lady on the pool table during Corey Feldman’s performance was identified along with the film the scene came from. Woman is Roberta Findlay, during the film ‘Satan’s Bed (1965)’ Unfortunately, during this scene, she was no older than 15-17 years old.
This really makes me nostalgic for the old TV bumpers. The USA network used to have the best ones, especially on Friday and Saturday nights in the 80s for The All New Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Hitchhiker, Saturday Nightmares, and Silk Salkings, etc... AMC used to have some great ones in the early 2000s for Fear Fridays and Monsterfest in October. I think you can still find clips of them here on UA-cam.
The absolutely morbid and existential nature of the words you spoke at 0:59 sent chills down my spine. Truly a peak in the world of horror and mystery content.
Even without the bloody murder and torture, I can't even imagine how it must have been like in Brooke's situation, eight months pregnant and all, caught with a boyfriend who pressures you to sell s*x and then someone willing to take advantage of you while your e-mail responses are anything but enthusiastic.
Not gonna lie, when he said the boyfriend was killed my first thought was "gee, bet you didn't see that coming when you were coming." What a fucking louse.
In this day and age, it's hard to credit a woman contemplating having sex with men, even under the threatening situation she found herself in. As an English author once wrote " The past is like another country; They do things differently there"
For people who don't know Corey Feldman, he has a long list of projects, but many know him as Mouth in The Goonies or Edward in Lost Boys. His story has come forward in more recent years, telling of him and another child actor who were sexually assaulted and raped by many high ranking figures in the entertainment industry. Corey Haim, the other child actor who was sexually assaulted alongside Feldman, went on to struggle with addiction until his eventual death from pneumonia in 2010. Many attribute his struggle with addiction to the abuse he endured as a child. Seeing that creepy clip placed into a music recording of Corey Feldman, in post production, doesn't sit right with me.
I met Corey and spoke to him quite a few times, as he used to shop at a video game store I managed in North Hollywood. Really nice, humble guy. Got into some good video game discussions with him! And he never skipped a beat as people would file by him with, "you're Corey Feldman!" and he would do the meeting and greeting thing... then right back to talking Madden '98 or whatever game we were discussing back then.
It's genuinely horrifying how often those in professions that entail working with children end up being completely disgusting monsters. When I was like 11 or 12 I had a guitar instructor who worked out of a locally owned music shop, had to have been late 40s/early 50s age range, I ended up falling ill for like a month straight and my family had to cancel lessons with him entirely until we were sure I wasn't going to be sick any longer, during this time the guy got arrested for possession and distribution of C-P. Needless to say we did not return to that music shop ever again. EDIT: Yes I know it's not surprising smartasses, never said it wasn't, but it's still fucking horrifying.
I've always thought that the low pay for educational or childcare jobs contributes to horrible people being able to fly under the radar for so long. Red flags and sketchy backgrounds get ignored when there's nobody to replace the weirdo if they show up to work reliably.
When I was in highschool one of the teachers at my elementry school got arrested. he was everyone's favorite... it was terrifying to think i had been that close to a monster. then my anatomy teacher (also in high school) got in trouble for being too friendly with a freshman. Needless to say we are lucky to have not been a victim when we so easily could have been and my heart goes out to all the kids hurt by these horrible monsters.
Sadly a lot of those people are also good manipulators. Its how they get close to people both adults and kids. And its even worse that they're so unassuming, most people dont think "oh my friend of two years, the guy that offers to do a puppet show for my kids isn't a bad person." And its true MOST of the time, like 99% of the time they are just normal people being friends.(i refused to perpetuate fear mongering) these creeps will then use and steal that good and use it to do horrible things.
It's incredibly distressing to see that so many people on Facebook blamed Blooke, the deceased victim, for her murder. Random, discredited and disgusting "news" pages just labeled her as a pregnant hooker who died. Never mentioned she was 18, her boyfriend forced her to do these things for money, and that she was tortured. So awful to think that humanity shifts their blame to the victim. Edit: Thank you for giving this comment the attention it needs, and likes as well. I appreciate those down below who AREN'T victim blaming Brooke.
The wild part of the Noah's Ark story is that Michael Curtiz (pronounced Cur-TEEZ) wasn't some small-time Old Hollywood director. We're talking about the guy who made Captain Blood, Mildred Pierce, Robin Hood, White Christmas. This is the director who made CASABLANCA, for god's sake. He was nominated for six Oscars and won two. The most horrifying part of the story isn't just that extras were accidentally killed; it's that they were killed due to gross negligence at the beginning of one of the most respected careers in Hollywood history. That's how little their lives were worth to Hollywood and the movie-going public. Killing them did pretty much nothing to affect his career, and despite the deaths involved in filming, the film made back twice what it cost.
It's especially dark considering what WAS enough to finish a Hollywood career over the next couple decades - get outed as gay? Your directing days are done, mister. ( and you are going to jail) - have a couple friends that are communists? Your directing days are done, mister. - Indirectly kill some actors through indifference and neglect? Don't worry about it, thats why we have a legal department!
The fact they cut out 35 minutes of the scene means everyone had been struggling against the current for AT LEAST 40 minutes… think about how terrifying that is. How could they know when or if it was going to stop at any point? I feel like after 10, definitely 20, minutes into the shot… majority of individuals realized they were completely helpless. I’ve never been able to fathom this incident. It’s one of those things I can’t ever fully understand WHY and HOW it was allowed to get to that point, regardless of the time period. It’s a torture film in my opinion. Even though it’s just a scene, the length of it qualifies as a tv episode. Whether it was connected to the Noah’s Ark film or not, he should’ve been prosecuted for literally torturing people and recording it for his own gratification. There’s no way any behind the scene employees encouraged this to last 40 minutes, there’s no way they would be okay with shooting such a dangerous stunt for such a long period WITHOUT PROFESSIONALS. I can’t express how much my heart hurts every time I see a snapshot of that scene…
loving the production value man. You really did not have to go THAT HARD for the craiglist segment like holy shit. It's good when you can't tell if any given shot is stock footage or footage you actually shot. Also there was a really great movie about christine cubbuck called christine.
As someone who lives in the EXACT area this happened. From Gezon Park, all the way to the police chase down Burton Street, this was trippy to watch because I could recognize everythinggg
This dude managed to make me scared of what’s to come and then make me burst out laughing after him saying “among us.” Good work, Nexpo. Keep it up. We all know the among us thing was intended
I remember the mystery of the woman on the table was resolved a few days or even less after this video was uploaded - Yoko Ono film Satan's Bed (1965) - which makes it less eerie. Despite the fact nobody knows why it's there, it's often overlooked that the woman herself, Roberta Findlay, was only 17 at the time of the film. So it is still creepy.
My wifi died at exactly 30:32 after he says “a few moments of dead air” and I seriously sat there longer than I should’ve thinking it was an aesthetic choice
Mine did the exact same thing during the Craigslist conversation and I was like, "oh he's doing a serious pause for dramatic effect" 🤣 waited longer then I probably should have before I restarted my TV.
Never in a million years did I think Nexpo would cover something that happened so close to home for me. I didnt know Brooke personally, but I went to school with this girl and Brooke was her best friend. I remember her posting about her death when she died. Crazy shit.
the time he said "among-us" was just so unnexpected, i unironically broke out into laughter in my room. i think i might have woked up the entire street.
Fun fact, among us got banned at the daycare where I work at. Turns out, you know how youtube has the autoplay thing? Well..... one day the kids were watching among us songs on YT when autoplay changed it to the among us twerking video, 10 hour version to be exact, and ALL the kids tried twerking So thats how among us got banned
I often put some rain thunderstorm background sound when listening to him. Its such a calm and yet creepy experience. Sadly some of the topics were really hard to swallow. :/
Vividly remember attending one of his puppet shows at church in the late 2000s. Somehow have never heard about his disgusting behavior and arrest- was probably too young to be told by my parents. It’s absolutely insane that I was in a room with that monster.
@@Matt_19-89 It never was a mystery. That movie is too popular. I found out about the mystery last year on the r/RBI. Someone replied about the movie few hours after the post. And there are a lot of people commented about the movie on this video too.
Christine's story was always so depressing for me, because I've been there. I used to work in journalism, and people don't really understand how unforgiving and helplessly disheartening each day is working in news. I couldn't take any more, and so I quit and I've since transitioned to teaching, but my heart goes out for her because I've felt her exact pain and she'll always have a place in my heart. I hope she rests in peace.
Christine in this embodies the red flags very well. The extreme happiness she showed in the beginning after months of deep depression is where you pull her aside and grill her on what's going on, and the vague desire to do something "different" is the moment you lunge.
I saw a fake video of what she did. That enough made me cry to my boyfriend for hours on end. I feel for her, and I hope the real tape never gets exposed to the public.

God I picked a bad time to eat lunch, the evil ventriloquist is absolutely disgusting, almost lost my lunch, full stop. Though as usual, Nexpo absolutely kills it. Love the new lost media series, it's one of my favorite things to watch on UA-cam. Keep it up Nexpo
"Christian ventriloquist with a creepy puppet who is actually a sexually sadistic pedophile who's into necrophilia and cannibalism" is the sort of thing people would consider overly "on-the-nose" and "try-hard" if it was a horror movie premise.
It's so disgusting, how could someone do something so vile or even think and plan out those ideas? Especially to a CHILD. It only makes me think of all that could be happening right now to many innocent people. These people deserve nothing but the absolutely worst.
I can't say how excited i am about this new series it was gripping and interesting to watch. Truly it'd own kind of horror Also a new channel?! I am SO delighted I love your content
The channel creator has a very artistic flair the way he puts these videos together, they are very atmospheric and put you in a somber and reflective mood. Nice work, I subbed.
Brooke was a nice woman. She just struggled as much as we all did. I miss her every day. She was a family friend. I was young when this all happened and my family didn’t tell me the truth until I was old enough to find out on my own…
I feel so bad for Christine Chubbuck. She was going through many issues that regular individuals go through, unfortunately: Health problems, unrequited romantic feelings, and feeling out of place. This combined with her demanding and stressful job was more for her than she could handle. She saw beyond the numbers and benefits from reporting violent and fear-mongering stories: She had gone through another loss of innocence by realizing the lack of humanity behind nonchalantly reporting "blood and guts" for the world to see. Her entire life and career revolved around loss and fear: Fear of not finding love, not having kids, and living in a helplessly violent and bloodthirsty world. Any glimpse of potential optimism left for her faded slowly as she never saw progress in her protests and demands for reporting on how to make the community a stronger place for all. Unfortunately, she took her life to teach this lesson to millions, but I am afraid her death might have been in vain because we continue to live like this as a society today.
@@revi__ Why would it? The rivers of blood and mountains of bodies that WW1 and WW2 produced did nothing. We're still pointing warheads at eachother. If you can't learn to laugh at it, you'll go mad.
Apparently John Wayne was one of the extras in the flood scene from the Noah's Ark film. Another situation that also involved John Wayne that is also very dark and eerie is the story behind the film "The Conqueror" - a motion picture that was a biopic of Genghis Khan. The film was shot on land that had been used as a nuclear testing location - this resulted in several cast and crew members being diagnosed with cancer in the block of time that followed the filming of the movie. Really tragic on all levels.
While it hasn't been proven, there was a similar sort of theory about there being a cluster of Parkinsons related to the show 'Leo & Me'. Michael J Fox started his career on the show and three other crew members were also diagnosed young with the disease.
My mother in law was always bugging us about letting our daughter who at the time was 6 to go to church camp. I kept saying no. I actually had to explain to her there are "bad" people in anything. Dwelling around children, waiting for an opportunity. I didn't care if people thought I was over protective.
I had heard about the journalist that shot herself during a news broadcast and wasn't expecting to see it discussed in one of your videos. It was one of those things that sounded too horrible to be true, but here we are, listening to her last words.
You've actually taken in a looot of feedback. You no longer do the dramatic pause every other word. Makes the ones you do have a lot of impact. im impressed by your growth.
The story of the reporter who killed herself sounded so eerie when you heard it from others. But listening to her voice and those sad last words, nothing but fear came over me, understanding what was going to happen
Brook's story is one of the saddest stories. I was first made aware from That Chapter and it always made me feel so sad for her. I have to say that this has been some of your best work. Everything seems so organic. Your projects on this platform are seriously worthy of being seen on prestigious networks.
I disagree. All three actors in this story - the boyfriend, Brooke, and the man who'll end up killing them both and himself - are all insanely stupid to the point where it is really difficult for me to feel any sympathy whatsoever. What was the BFs deal, selling his *pregnant* GF into sex? What was her deal, finding it totally acceptable to meet up with a guy that obviously doesn't use his real name nor face in some dodgy back alley park at night? Why did the killer decide to just stick around his hunting territory whilst fully aware of the fact that the police is on full alert and searching for him? This story is just one massive mess-up and underlines the importance of education. That might sound harsh, and in all fairness, this is my way to cope with this story. Whether I'm right for it, I can't say, but doesn't matter. It's just a horrible loss of life that could so easily have been prevented by...common sense. Don't know how else to put it.
I’ve been watching and subbed for a long time, but not sure I’ve ever said just how much I love your editing style. The strange, lo-fi, local TV broadcast vibes are just excellent. It’s like you’re making this stuff specifically for my tastes. I’m so glad to see how successful this channel has become. You deserve every bit of it man.
I just spent like ten minutes trying to get my phone to cooperate with YT’s controls, because Nexpo just had to add a couple of red, TV-style captions of “Joy Junction” to one frame at 2:48 . Loving it already lol
What absolutely kills me about Christine was that her death was avoidable. Apparently she'd been very open about how she wanted to end it all for a long time prior to this, and no one believed her. No one took her seriously. Is it any wonder she did it in such a public fashion, when no one believed her pain?
Mate, it’s no one else’s fault that she killed her self. She did it to her self. People can’t watch and predict her every movement, thought and idea. If’s and buts are nice after the fact… but reality is, she killed her own-self. People are not superheroes like in movies, we can’t dictate and save everyone especially if they are dedicated to offing them-self.
@@paradoxal4 Depression and suicidal thoughts are a mental illness, not something you can control. You literally need help from the people around you. I hope you're not one of those people who believe that depression is "just in your head" and something that can be easily solved.
@@Papacarrot while this may be true in some circumstances, there are some people where once they’ve made up their minds to end their own lives, there’s not shit you can do to change it and that’s just the sad fact of the matter. Not everyone can be saved and people can only get better if they WANT the help. I’m speaking from personal experience, my best friend ended his own life in 2014.
@@Papacarrot Exactly mate, it’s not something you can control so what makes you or anyone else think other people could have stopped her, when it is not controllable, as you said… Only a professional (psychiatrist, gp, psychologist) could have helped her, but even then people still end up killing them-self. So if professionals who are trained and experienced in dealing with this can still not put a stop to it, then we can’t expect the average joes of life to SAVE or STOP someone from committing suicide or from being depressed. These are clinical conditions and people should not feel guilt and be blamed for not saving a suicidal person. You made a random assumption saying I think that depression is just inside the head but I am stating the opposite. That these conditions are clinical and very serious and the average joe can not save and stop someone from it. If someone has made up their mind to kill them-self then it’s almost impossible to stop them.
Nexpo I'm usually a silent watcher of youtube videos but DAMN the quality and care that you put into your content, research and filming is actually palpable. It's absurd. As a long time viewer I'm SO proud of how long you've come and SO excited to see what you bring in the future. The whole atmosphere you've created around the channel and the videos is honestly mind boggling. A good gut-wrenching movie does NOTHING to me compared to what your videos does. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye with these edits and thematically on point. Never let it be said you lacked effort in this production, this is quality.
I'm sure we can all agree there are certain bits of lost media that we not only would like to stay lost but be destroyed at some point. I can go for that.
I don't know. It still generate alot of views. But many websites with disturbing stuff, audio and have been shut down but from 1997 to 2005 anyone could have access to theses quite easily. Censorship wasn't a thing back then and it was surface web. When Facebook and UA-cam began to be a thing, they begin to censor and going after others websites with disturbing content. Because in the early 2000's kids began to have more and more access to the web and many parents started panicking. So now some of that stuuf is still available but you have to search specifically for it. I remember all theses events happening because I was 22 in 1997.
There was one I remember in the 80’s from Fox5 in NY. A voice came over the nightly news and the voice said something to the effect of “Fox is my M-Fing channel now” in a sinister voice. The reporters seemed unaware of it. It turned out that it was a local prankster, but my cousin and I were watching and it was one of those “did you hear that?” moments where we thought one was somehow pulling a joke on the other. I’m with you on the sick stuff being lost for good, though.
I've always found Christine's case exceedingly sad and fascinating all at once. I've watched the movie Christine, which was very well done, but to hear the actual Christine's voice... it gives me chills.
Wow. Who'd knew that you can get people's sympathy and even have a movie based on your life 🍿 And all you had to do was be a white woman with a TV reporter job position committing suicide on live television for all to see :D Not like people have been killing themselves since Ota Benga. I bet you don't even know who he is.
@@haggardnobody2183 you mean the young man who was forced to be in the Bronx Zoo human exhibit? Of course I know who he is, I study anything and everything about history I can get my hands on. And what's wrong with finding Chubbock's case sad or fascinating? Of course suicide is sad, it's a permanent solution to something that's temporary. I study cases like hers to figure out what drives them psychologically to make the decisions they do. And don't talk to me like a child, because I'm not. Do you use that downgrading, nasty tone with everyone, or just random strangers on the internet? It's an OPINION, you ever hear of them? If you don't like comments, then scroll on, Claudia.
Oh... right when I saw the first topic, my stomach dropped. I remember listening to a podcast about this case years ago - the podcast played the entirety of these online exchanged via text-to-speech and it has stuck with me since. It's so horrifying how there are so many disgusting people who use child-oriented careers for their own sick and sadistic pleasure - even more so since it seems near impossible to tell who genuinely cares about children and who is just playing the part.
sword and scale! used to adore that podcast but the host turned out to be a pretty shitty dude. it's a shame because the depth of which the cases are researched is astonishing

One of Arnett’s “associates,” Rob Poe, was my babysitter for years. They’re both in prison for some pretty heinous stuff. When we found out about everything those two had gotten up to, we were disgusted. Even into my 20’s, Rob had remained a family friend. At one point he had broken his knee while stepping off his mower and I stayed at his house to take care of him. It wasn’t until years later that I discovered that the computer that sat just a few feet away from the cot I slept on was full of pictures no person should own. I hope all three of those evil fucks die in prison.

YES! I recognized the shot from a VHS tape of roughie trailers from Something Weird Video, "The Worst of Twisted Sex" that I purchased something like 30 years ago.

I mean a child predator would get a job that has him working with children, its not that suprising.
Dang that's horrible you never got to learn the guitar!
Even if she weren't forced to engage in sex work and did it fully voluntarily, she still wouldn't deserve to be murdered.
She could have refused he boyfriends request

The families of the victims must be fueled with vengeance to this day
Yea it's VERY clear how unethical Hollywood
It's especially dark considering what WAS enough to finish a Hollywood career over the next couple decades
- get outed as gay? Your directing days are done, mister. ( and you are going to jail)
- have a couple friends that are communists?
You can't blame all of Hollywood for one person's mistake.

Another situation that also involved John Wayne that is also very dark and eerie is the story behind the film "The Conqueror" - a motion picture that was a biopic of Genghis Khan.

Mate, it’s no one else’s fault that she killed her self. She did it to her self. People can’t watch and predict her every movement, thought and idea.

Only a professional (psychiatrist, gp, psychologist) could have helped her, but even then people still end up killing them-self.

I suppose you don’t get to watch often huh?
@@RollinDeepAsFuck I mean it was just a joke, and no, I watched quite a lot of his vids (most of them)
For anyone interested in the Christine Chubbuck story, I highly recommend the 2016 film “Christine” starring Rebecca Hall. It’s really well-made.
just watched it thanks for letting me know about it! i still wanna know about the corey fieldman one
@@melissagattis3600Where did you watch it?

Poor Christine Chubbuck. Her story has haunted me for years. There's a pretty good (fictionalized) movie about her called Christine, starring Rebecca Hall.
The one about the possessed car or am I an idiot? I've never seen it so I'm just genuinely curious.
@@WaterVolt1917 Believe it or not, two movies can have the same title. It's not the one about the possessed car, obviously.
@@louiseporterbridges2040 I appreciate the clarity, but you didn't have to be so passive aggressive about it.

The last few surviving high quality UA-cam content creators out there. Don’t stop Nexpo
High quality indeed
That first sentence is unexpectedly depressing. It really sucks to see this is where we are now with UA-cam. It used to be my favorite site on the Internet.
i dont think he needs your reassurance
@@arthurvice503 do they even need to explain? The answer is right in front of your face.
@@edvardseglitis7128 He does not need it but it's always nice to appreciate people for their hard work
I just found this Nexpo channel last week and I can’t stop watching it! I also just subscribed to it.. I love it 💕
My dude, you are the perfect example of how delays are totally worth the wait since the artwork created with them is top quality, informative, enjoyable and beautifully terrifying.
Many, many thanks for your hard work, this series and the horror videogames one are both looking so good 🔥
Uploads may be far and few between but it’s well worth it when the quality and production is so next level. Lots of hard work and dedication put behind work like this and it shows
I agree with you. Can you just explain to me the diference between creators like Nexpo who post a content every month or two, or those who posts every week? Who makes more money? I'm not that familiar with you tube policy, but I think the more videos you put out, the more money you make. I'm all for quality over quantity btw and I hope people like Nexpo or Nick Crowley earn same as the others cause they deserve it.
100% agree. I don't care if I have to wait a month or more between uploads. Like everything else in life, quality>quantity. Nexpo, take your time, take a vacation, do whatever you have to do to keep making excellent content like this. Anyone complaining about upload frequency is an idiot! Most or all of your fans would agree
@@HowardMoon56 Unfortunately if I had to guess I’d assume uploading more frequently would probably bring in more money but I’m not sure how watch time plays into it considering videos like this are much longer than an average video. One can only hope they’re getting what they deserve financially
Absolute UA-cam masterclass. Haven’t seen any scary topics in such a good format like this in awhile
This guy has great production value, quality content right here.
Forreal!!!! It almost feels criminal-watching for free. Nexpo is one of the few true g o a t’s of UA-cam 👏👏💪🙌
