This video will actually help me out a lot. I have an orthopedic disease called Osgood Schlatter. It grew on my right knee when I entered my teens. Ever since, I cannot put my full body weight on my right foot. But as you said, with practice, it'll get a lot easier. Thanks a bunch !🙂
Yh Osgood's can be really bad. I had the same type of thing but on the inside of my foot on my right ankle. Sometimes I can barely walk. Hope it improves soon🙂🙂🙂
@@TheLordIsMyShepherd75 Osgood Schlatter' s disease doesn't really get cured. The pain just stops after a few years. My pain has decreased tremendously over the past 4 years. Hope that you get well soon too!🙂
Osgoods can be horrible. I had it grow in both knees. Had problems since I was 10 but only diagnosed when I was 15. I'm 21 now and only stopped physiotherapy when I was 19/20. Only just started playing 7-a side now before I go back into 11- a side. Took years off my playing time.

Just finished a game and were destroyed because of my weak side then this came out.
I just started goalkeeping the past month or so and the mental barrier of being afraid of diving on the ground been dragging me down when it comes to lowballs. Just did the first drill for a few hundred times, and now I can do the low collapse dive without being afraid. Thanks a lot brother.

My biggest issue with diving is that I'm hurting myself all the time. I'm not scared of diving at all, but I'm really new to being a goalkeeper and we dont have a special goalkeeper coach at my club who could help me getting better, so I have to rely on youtube. I dont really know how to keep my knee away from my thigh, I dont feel any pain during practice, but afterwards, my inner thighs look like I am a victim of domestic violence. Do I just have to remember to raise my leg when falling on the ground?
My best guess is you aren't keeping your core/abs tight when diving.Hard for me to say though without seeing you actually dive. If you send me a video of you diving on IG I can probably pick out what exactly you're doing wrong.
@@GKGOLUREMI I don't think my abs' tightness is the problem, I think I hit my thighs with my own foot all the time. I also probably don't bend my knees enough before the dive, so my hips are bruised too 😅 but I can try to make a video next Thursday during practice and send it to you, thanks for your advice!
@@hinata27 I had the same issue mate. What I worked on was changing my stance cuz that could be an issue, you can also record yourself and compare it to pro keepers and start a progress there.

I know these drills are helpful but what about the mid air saves like top corners when I go football my left is my weak and when my friend kicks it to the top corner I save it but I sort of dive on my stomach
