So glad to see young people advancing the hobby.... Subscribed! I do see rainbow color pattern on my rainbow sharks. When they turn it on the sides of their heads.
Thanks Ali beautiful black and red contrast to this fish 👍🤩
Great vid ali, love those fish...SHARK! And just when you thought it was safe to back in the water lol
Ali you are an absolute gem and you really know your stuff.
I would love to see Ali do a video all about Severums. They have caught my interest & will be keeping some soon.
Nice video
I highly recommend you do not feed your fish 2-4 times a day. Feed your fish 6 times a week for best results. Water quality is the most important thing for keeping fish, and over-feeding really mucks up water fast. Remember, the shark will be snacking on algae all day long in an established tank, so it might be eating 20 times a day, even if you feed it once.
Thanks for the info, I liked the camera angle cuts. It made the video more engaging!
EDIT: I shouldn't have paused while commenting, you mentioned most of my comment right after XD
I have kept these "sharks" for years never had a problem , I disagree with the feeding part I feed mine once a day period , they continuously eat as the graze on everything in the aquarium , in the wild these fish get to around 3feet and are on the menu in Thailand in my aquarium 55gal they have never exceeded 6 inches , best kept by themselves in community tank or in a group of 5 or more with plenty of room to swim , they also prefer a cave or a quiet darker place to retreat to when they are not out grazing , they can be territorial kept in a community tank they see the the tank as theirs and as long as there are no other "sharks" in it they are pretty peaceful with most non aggressive fish
Rainbow sharks absolutely don't get 3 feet.... you thinking of Iridescent sharks? Those guys get 3 feet+
Ca
N I raise shrimp in with the shark ? I’ve got one little rainbow in a 3gl.with five guppies and they get along well . Can I introduce 5 or 6 cherry’s to the mix?
Water is clear, perimeters excellent, he scoots the fish back to the top of the dive to bottom feed . He likes wafers . the fish eat flakes.
I have ghost shrimp and guppies in my aquarium with mine and he doesn't bother them at all
I knew that rainbow sharks weren’t shark
Definitely, everything about rainbow sharks are not true. My rainbow shark is close to 10 years of age or even older.
