After watching your video, I can't really tell what that sound is. I was thinking maybe something with the water pump, maybe a piece of the impeller broke off and is getting knocked around behind the water pump. I can't tell you with any certainty though. I wish I could help more. If you find out what it is, will you let us know?

Cut a piece of cardboard and put in against the radiator on the engine side. Tape it to the radiator top to protect the radiator damage while working around it. Easy to damage it. Also, don't run the engine very much without coolant. Water pump seal is lubricated by coolant. Nice job explaining a fairly difficult repair.

Hey bud, I had the water pump, timing belt and tensioner changed on my 300 by a mechanic. After the repair, it makes more noise and vibrates more than before. The vibration is most severe when accelerating in 3rd gear (50-70KPH, RPM 1500-2000). I took the car back to the mechanic shop, they said it’s the transmission problem and wanted me to change the entire transmission. Could timing belt replacement cause such noise and vibrations? Hey! I really dig the video since I’m doing water pump/timing belt on my 2010 challenger, also what’s your opinion on p0340 ? Camshaft position sensor. It was replaced but the car still doesn’t start. Could it be my belt snapped or the cogs moved out of tdc?

Whatch the last 2 min of this video about the p0340 ua-cam.com/video/qdYKkjbgbC4/v-deo.htmlsi=YrxP_wtDQPELXWg9 I bought a Magnum that wouldn't start, they had replaced the crank sensor and some other sensors but it was that the timing belt has skip a couple teeth and was just far enough out of time to not start. If you're belt has broken, you would know it, it would make a terrible noise and the engine would be no good. I really don't have a great idea about the p0340 though.
