I held one in a local gun shop. Most ergonomic Glock pistol I have ever held. Thinking about picking it up.
Had the same issue early on with my 43x that I bought at about the same time as you bought yours. I found the coating on the slide seemed to me to cause the slide to drag in both directions. , I live near GLOCK (lucky me) so I took it in. They replaced the extractor, they buffed the slide rails. I admit I did not clean and lube before first shooting it Now it feeds all types of ammo, including aluminum cased, Without any failures. This is a good reminder to clean your new gun first and run 200 rounds through it before you make it your EDC I also ran my carry ammo HST 147 grn with no issues. TheGlock tech said the 43 x runs best on warmer ammo. I agree

The shooter with the beard had his thumbs pointing up when the gun failed to feed. His thumbs were probably rubbing the slide. When he had his thumbs down, as they should be, the gun ran fine.

The mud test is a good worst case scenario test. But, I’d be interested in a high round count reliability test since my carry guns aren’t that likely to see the worst case, but I would like to get an idea of a statistical failure rate under normal conditions and high round count usage. For example, the P365 seems to have a relatively high failure rate at round counts of 1000-2000 rounds, which is unacceptable to me since I could do that in a few moths of average range usage. I shied away from that gun due to the fact that I couldn’t feel confident with a carry gun with which I would fear that I could be approaching the breaking point with each subsequent range session. Can you plug that hole without issues? Like is there an after market part to plug it. It seem like an odd failure point
Shield arms is working on 15 round flush fitting mags for the 43x and 48. If those are reliable, I'll grab a 48. 43x has ran flawless for me.

I’ve also never been a Glock guy. I bought me and my fiancé wedding presents, me a Hellcat and my Fiancé a Tiffany Blue Glock 43x. After shooting her 43x maybe 50 rounds, I loved it vs my Hellcat. I went and bought a 43x the next day that was optics ready and that is now my wedding gun instead of the Hellcat and it’s my new carry. They do make metal 15 round magazines for the 43x, and the Hellcat with the 15 round is almost the identical size. So you’re giving up absolutely nothing. You’re actually gaining accuracy, trigger, and barrel length with the Glock in the same size package as the Hellcat. Absolutely fabulous gun and I now understand “Glock guys.” The Hellcat will be my secondary carry gun.
The 15 round magazine for the 43x is made by Shield Arms for anyone interested.
My fiancé and I are getting married this Friday and having our Glocks engraved with our last name. One of the best/most comfortable pistols I have ever shot.

Bought the Sig 365 from FB which is great. wonder if the Glocks are a step up?
cruizelover glocks are not necessarily a step up. Sig, in my opinion is more boutique. Glock however is proven reliable, kinda like a John Deere tractor. They are a no frills tool that will work.

probably high gripping it and hitting the slide release causing it to fail. that explains why the other guy shoots it with no problems

You state there was a potential issue, yet I did not hear any with the 48. The 43x had some jams, but it was not the focus of the review? Also I missed the point of putting the 43 slide on the 48? Was it just to make the colors match or was there a point to it? I hope that is NOT the 48 you sold ME!!! Thanks!
Bill Geiger Jr. we thought the big hole at the bottom of the slide could lead to debris getting in and jamming the gun. That didn’t happen. The gun functioned perfectly. The point of the 43 slide on the 48 is that a lot of people already have a 43. So by purchasing a 48 you can also have a 43x if you already have a normal 43

Good you didn’t clean the dirt out for that test, I liked Donut Operator’s review on The G58 for the comedy, but Idk why he bothered to make a mess of the glock only to clean It out before firing, If he didn’t want It to blow up In his face, why cok the glock In pasta at all lol.

48 slide on a 43 would be my choice. Better concealability, longer sight radius for greater accuracy.
Yeah, for the hot summer it'd make sense. Then when the fall/winter seasons roll on, throw the 48 frame back on and get your 10+1 / 15+1 back

These mud tests are a bit much. I mean if you pack enough mud in anything that’s mechanical and has tolerances it’s going to fail.

Man to all the UA-cam mud videos out there.If they really want to to a real mud test ir dirt test whatever.Leave the gun buried a month or 2 under dirt somewhere come back and shoot it.To see how really realistic they can shoot with dirt.All these videos I see they put them in dirt or mud for a couple of seconds and then they shoot.That don't really prove anything
