My hair is highly sensitive to clarifying shampoos as they strip my hair of its natural oils with harsh ingredients at the root of the issue.
But I’m going to try Olaplex’s clarifying shampoo now after this video.

Hi Heidi, I’ve got a good recommendation for an AMAZING clarifying shampoo: Redken Cleansing cream. It does not strip your hair AT ALL, it almost feels like you are using an hydrating shampoo, and it smells nice also! I want to give 4c a try tho :)

I actually love this shampoo I have fine colored hair with face frame highlights aka bleach in some areas my hair is so fragile and prone to dryness and breakage and this product has been a game changer for me so much more gentle then my other clarifying shampoo, skipping the clarifying is not an option for me as I use products that contain silicones because my hair benefits from it alot makes it feel stronger and more protected when using heat tools. I recently started using moroccan oil all in one leave in conditioner and so has my 2 daughters and that is a frizz miracle it erases frizz like a eraser to a pencil lol then a put a tiny bit of olaplex # 6 & 7 and omg game changer.

No sabes fui a ser mi corte normal, le pedí un bob corto y me hicieron un pixie, 😂 me siento que tengo corte militar, lo positivo es que ya sé que hacer en mi cabello para que se vea saludable después de una decoloración y ahora buscaré salones que utilicen olaplex para decolorar, ya no iré ciegas, hasta que mi cabello crezca y no dejare que me vuelvan a decolorar con oxigenta a 30 volúmenes, muchas gracias por tus consejos ¡

I would do a double cleanse with the 4C & 4P so the purple shampoo takes evenly

Hey Heidi! Have you tried using a solid/soup shampoo? It cleans so well and you just rub it into your palms and then wash your hair just like a normal shampoo. I find these solid shampoos very similar with clarifying shampoos and it leaves your scalp very clean and it gives so much volume to your hair. Sending hugs and blessings to you and your hubby 🥰💘

Hey Heidi, idk if you go on tiktok much but a lot of people are complaining about olaplexs shampoo damaging their hair. so weird.
Seems clear from user reports over the years that Olaplex does not work for everyone and can actually make hair worse. Not sure why but I am one of those who gets dry straw like hair and breakage when I use it. K18 on the other hand is good.
I am very protein sensitive and although Olaplex is not a protein it does act to bind them more strongly. Took me months of deep hydration treatments to get my hair back to a good state.
@@stargazerbird you aren’t supposed to overuse olaplex products, just use it to repair damage and once in a while to maintain it but use hydrating products.
Olaplex 4 in my opinion is not for every day use. Same goes for most of the products. I can’t say Olaplex has done anything but good things for me. But I don’t overuse them. Hope that helps! By the way, new video just went up!

4c left my hair SO dry. It was so bad I got rid of it
Clarifying shampoos are more drying than everyday ones… and meant only to be used extremely sporadically when you have product build up. And even then, they may dry your hair a bit.
@@heidiguttenberg I only used it once. It was awful. I have the Redken cream clarifying shampoo to try in a few weeks time when it is time to do it again
