On your left hand side around 16mins in your goblin wolf chariot would not have been able to charge since chariots treat low low linear obsracles as impassable terrain.
I haven’t tired the wolf chariots yet in nomadic whaaagh yet. I would also on interested to see your thoughts on the back orc chariots. Losing warband is definitely a downside. But 4 strength 6 AP 3 attacks from the black orcs goes well with the impact hits on the charge.
Black Orc chariots are strong, especially with all the chariot runners on the list. Their biggest weaknesses IMO: 1) Low wound density for points, so very weak to screams 2) No swiftstride, no warband, makes these slower than the rest of army. Personally like them as a character mount. Really good armor, high wounds, add a defensive item and a great weapon and you have a blender lord who ignores killing blow and monster slayer.
@@avocadoarmadillo7031 do you recon black orc chariots don’t have much more damage output than a regular orc chariot then. Working on my first list so I am trying to decide if they are worth taking.
I think they're solid but a bit overcosted.. same price as a wyvern. They hit hard on the charge, but without swiftstride and warband they are less likely to get that charge. I think personally I just prefer more units overall. It is roughly 3 orc chariots (or 5 goblin chariots) for the price of 2 black orc chariots. More high strength attacks is always nice though..
As I understand it, Split Profile means that any rule applied to the Model actually applies to both models, unless the Rule specifically says that only one model on the split profile is affected. Edit: The direct answer to your question is “Yes, since that’s what the rules say to do.”
@@jaydub1112Sorry, this sounds confrontational, but it's a genuine question; Who are you? The author of the video or the tournament organizer? Your are absolutely right that it is RAW what the rule says, at least for now. I just highly doubt that is the intention with regards to previous editions.
Nope, I’m just a subscriber to the channel ;) no confrontation implied or detected. As I’m not the video author or the TO, it’s a valid question that I admittedly can’t answer. It’s just a bit of funky rule interaction jank that I enjoy. Perhaps it would have been better to keep my nose out of it 😅
Why didn‘t he charge his lance in at the end? 😅 In a tournament I can understand wanting to preserve the points, but in a casual funsies game, why not fight? Were you just short on time at the end?
I'm a huge nomadic waaagh fan as well. You have sold me on avoiding blorc chariots and I'm inspired by the double orc lord choice. Saw that you had vanguard on the big boar unit. Was that to fulfill core points? I just always thought that vanguard was one of the rules that characters can't adopt when the join the unit.
@@allewis4717 So I only found out about that faq after the tournament.. It was a genuine mistake but funny as none of my opponents challenged it and I began all 5 games with an illegal vanguard move!
@d6wounds it's all good man. I don't think it's possible to play a game 100% correct lol also It really should let characters vanguard. I really like your list idea and channel. Keep it going!
These are some of the best battle reports going around. Long enough to get meaty, but still consumable. Really great work.
Cheers man, glad you like it
Frontiers axe is 2 handed but does not have strike last. 2 handed means you cant use shield with it.
Great video as usual, one massive improvement though would be to show the unit you are introducing

Yes, well spotted. We played that wrong.

10:50 Ouch, that was rough.
Are you allowed to use the Big Uns upgrade on the boars aswell in the tournament?

@@jaydub1112 No worries. I'm just curious about if tournaments allow this.
Yes, those are the rules! Contrary to previous editions of course..

We play each other often enough so that there’s no pressure to play a certain way.. we were warming up for an event so perhaps he had that in mind
Can characters get the benefit of vanguard?
Yea sure, not in this list though.
