Yes!! Incredible 😍😍😍 idk if that’s his house.. but mannnn oh man.. I wonder if it increases the value a SHITton 🤣 I’d be chargin an arm and a leg if I ever moved!!! Lolol I have six of my own trees growing rn.. and they’re in pots because I wanna take them with me if I ever move!!
Beautiful trees. If the reed tree didnt have the sagging branch thing going on it could be possibly the greatest of all time. Possibly. It seems like they often need staking when you too which is more work. Fruit tastes A+ though.
@@gregalderdotcom Very helpful video for growth habit. I planted my Reed in the wrong spot believing I could keep it small. Epicenter says Reed is the best for the bay. Everyone here should have one!
just started eating them can't believe I had not eaten them before nutty like a walnut taste and creamy great but the cost went up this week .30 each god bless
Greg, what amazing trees! WOW 😳. I’ve never seen such glorious photos/video of a full-green Reed avocado. How old +/-, are these trees? Probably 50 years or more, right? Very valuable video for us avocado tree lovers. And all that fruit - that’s just sick! Thanks so much.
I’ve picked fruit off these trees. There was something going on with some of the fruit. It had brown, black lines inside the flesh like fiber that had decayed. Other fruits were perfect. There was an abandoned hass orchard below the house. Somewhere close off the 15 near mission rd. If I remember clearly
Hi Antonio, Whole Foods has had Reeds sometimes in the past. Farmers sometimes have them at farmers markets. Mom and Dad Fruitstand at the intersection of 15 and 76 has Reeds now. Eli's Farmstand in Fallbrook usually has Reeds starting sometime in July (but not today). I will be selling a limited quantity of Reeds through my website once they reach full flavor, which is likely to be in late July or August. Sign up for my Friday email to receive the announcement: gregalder.com/yardposts/ But if you're really interested in a box of Reeds shipped by me, send in a few bucks of support, as supporters get to order first: gregalder.com/yardposts/supporting-the-yard-posts/

I really like your wooden signs that you've made to label your avocado trees. How do you add the large nails to the back of the wood sign?
Great tree!!! Love it!!! Kindly put braces, support for the much loaded branches, so they do not break.
Show me next time.

Hi Neal, Don't know the age. Somewhere close to 50 years is my guess though.
Beautiful. When will you offer Reed avos on your email? I keep checking everyday 🥑🥑🥑
Soon. Probably at the end of July, maybe not until August. Whenever they start tasting awesome.
@@gregalderdotcom Awesome - so looking forward to ordering a box 😁🥑
👍🍺
Hi Greg! Those are two beautiful trees and loaded with fruit. Can't wait for my trees to get like that; Is that near your place?
Yes, they aren't too far from my place: North San Diego County.
Do you ever Thin the numbers of deemed excess fruit?
How old would you say those trees are?
Only a guess, but around 50 to 60 years old.
