Me too dude. Just saw them live in February. While the track list was amazing. They played the grudge off of lateralus but I would've love to see lateralus live

Dude, I’ve been obsessing over Adam’s right hand technique on guitar for several years now and still can get anywhere near the precision he’s mastered. Cool to see others appreciate it as well.
@@jreinhardt9466 seriously what they mean when tone is in the hands, his palm mutes and chords sounds so damn perfect and it’s because of his right hand. I’ve been trying to copy it, seems like he’s hitting hard at an angle over the top of the bridge pickup… maybe
It’s not only his right hand, his left hand is doing most of the mutes. Getting that “full silence” when just touching it with the left hand. Also notice how many pull offs he does when just playing the chords riff that adds a lot. Both his hands are doing his style, mainly my point :)
Right? I learned a chunk of Invincible on the guitar a month ago or so, and I still mess up on my right hand and it's INFURIATING!!!!! Every time I angrily strum my guitar, I wonder how tf Adam does it lmao

I heard schism before any other tool songs and thought it was a decent song. I really discovered Tool when I was high and listened to pneuma for the first time. It was also when I truly realized danny carey’s drumming ability
The first TOOL song I ever really connected with was Eulogy, 6 mos. after my mother died. And I've never looked back. The circle was complete with Wings for Marie, which is still difficult for me to get through.

Tool's guitar parts are actually really not that difficult. You just have to be comfortable tuning down. The truly difficult instrument to cover Tool for is drums.
@@hc3550 Nah if he learns tabs and starts with easier songs, even easier Tool songs, he can be playing them within a few months depending on natural ability and putting in as little as 30 mins to an hour a day. I am not saying it will be EASY by any means, it's not, I am just saying don't tell him it will take years when it won't. You will be surprised how fast you can pick something up if you really want to. Tool's guitar parts are not that hard. Hope you made it to see the Danny-Cam video of Pneuma!
