I absolutely agree.. Sonic Highways is an absolute masterpiece. And I need to add, I think it's also Butch Vig's masterpiece with the Foo Fighters. The last album he recorded with them if I'm not mistaken. With Greg Kurstin their sound has really changed over the last to LPs. Of course that also depended on the band but with Butch you get this really full and saturaded Rock sound that was so typical for Echoes and Silence, Patience and Grace and Wasting Light. I really miss it. And I really had to listen to Concrete & Gold for quite some time to appreciate the album. But now I'm also digging Greg as a producer and what the Foos are doing nowadays. Foo Fighters are my long time love when it comes to music. They never let me down. God, I'm grateful for Dave and the boys..
RIP Taylor Hawkins. Thank you for all of the incredible music. I’ve always looked up to you and the foo fighters growing up. We hate to see you leave so soon.
Yeah might be that, or just the feeling of the sound traveling through your body, jamming with the family and friends, maybe he was just excited, rip to the master
This video inspired me to write a movie script about 4 guys in their 30s and how they used to be in a band and one of them still wants to keep that dream alive coz he's a failure and the good old days of the highschool band is all he's got left.
Voila un exemple de plus qui démontre la concentration extrême, la précision, la connaissances technique que demande la musique, qu'elle soit hard rock, jazz, country ou classique et j'en passe. Respect Messieurs
Taylor ty for the beats and laughter .my young twin boys and me are drummers . Glad we seen you in philly. We were going this summer and still will if they get another drummer there’s no replacement on any drummer . We have his beats forever . Just the band needs time to heal all . I hope they actually bring on Brian may and Roger Taylor or his son for couple songs the first show. To get loose and pay respect . But it’s going to kill dave with him not back there .
Love this. WOnder is many of them knew who Foos were before it. I'm 56 and met 20 somethings recently who hadnt heard of them - tots understandos duudes...
oh i do love this song it’s in my top 5 battling it out with all my life, halo, learn to fly, walk, many others … two things really stand out: the orchestra and nate’s triplet bass line in the chorus. absolutely perfect song.
Taylor has 'extreme stoke'! 🤣They knew they had a great song in the making. The string musicians were so lucky to work with Tony Visconti! This is such a great inside peek into the making of a legendary song.
Gabriel Marty Probably because of the fact that the end of the song wouldn't have the same impact without the backup from the string orcestra? I don't know... Would be an awesome song to play at the end of a big stadium concert. I would love it if they did that in London 14 days from now. FF! :D
Mads Behrend Christensen I doubt that a live situation could destroy this song's effect..in my opinion it's perfect as a stadium anthem:) are you going to the wembley show? Me too!:D June 19th or 20th?:D
I agree, it's an awesome song nontheless - so powerful! I REALLY hope they end the show with this one! Yeah I'm going to see them the 20th at Wmbley, can't wait! :D
Mads Behrend Christensen haha great! I will also be there at the 20th. Straight after spring exams from Switzerland:D that's gonna be a great day for Rock Music!
What I wouldn't give to be a part of this. I'd keep the "fresh pots" a comin' I had to quit violin because of degenerative disc disease in my spine, this makes me wanna cry
I love how every time Taylor hows a snare hit it looks like its a full body experience for him
+Jason Shivers open his mouth lol hahahah
like roger taylor does
His face is like he's feeling the pain
LOL yeaaa :D
I think its connected to his nuts
3:13 - 3:34 one of my favourite Taylor moments. Always makes me laugh. RIP 🙏
He punched the corner of that door so hard
Taylor will never die ✌
It just became mines haha 😂😅
"Taylor Hawkins, extreme stoked"
FUUUCK!!!
Cool Taylor the Best
Fuckin narly!!! FUUUUUUUCK!!!!
I love that part.
Dave is one of the coolest rock musician alive but still not cool enough for his daughter. "Nice story daaaad" was so funny
Every rock star's reality check. 😊
One of the greatest songs of Dave's career.
They really did create a masterpiece. Not just this song but every song on the album is so beautiful imho :)
Can you Tell me the name of the album please?
@@Blackteo79 Sonic Highways
Then you must be one of those coffee drinkers who's like "Folgers is just a really awesome cup of coffee imho."
@@AnodyneHipsterInfluencer you gotta admit, it's a good album. Not necessarily great, but good. Folgers on the other hand.....

The smile of Taylor while playing.... :( :( :( We miss you....
This is one of my favorites BTSs, Taylor’s “Extreme Stoke” always cracks me up.
i might have shed a tear with the strings part... i love this SONG so much. Foo Fighter best rock band ever.
... smfh. May the Rock Gods have mercy on your sad, boring, basic little soul.
@@AnodyneHipsterInfluencer Wow, I mean, I agree that the Foo Fighters aren't the best rock band ever but that's fucking mean lol
@@AnodyneHipsterInfluencer nobody asked your opinion on my comment dude....
@@AnodyneHipsterInfluencer grow up mate its music
Got the absolute chills of the orchestra playing.
Those strings just gonna melt your heart.
3 guitar players. Keyboardist starts off with a part that sounds like a 4th guitar player.
"You haven't played with headphones but you have probably played with headphones."
His speech was literally worse than Dave's.
Pat Smear has the coolest collection of guitars.
"Nice story, dad..." She's just like Dave..
Foos masterpiece, so, so good!! Best song I have heard in years!! Not just by Foos, but by any band.
Listen to more music maybe...
@@AnodyneHipsterInfluencer hahahahaha why are u dissing every coment??? Were u having a bad day 😂
Dave's daughter is hilarious!
+Cassandra Campbell Nice story daad!
you'd have to expect some degree of reciprocal smart-assery - she learned it from the second best (me and my kid being in first place.)
@@thingamajacky alright smart ass😏
I'm always afraid that Taylor Hawkins has PTSD or something because of the way he reacts every time he hits the snare hard.
haha i noticed that to its like beaker from the muppets
He might be kicking PTSD’s arse!
Personally I think he’s a sweetheart 💛🪴 He rocks. And so much more. . . .
He plays with Dave did in Nirvana
Persone speciali incontrano persone speciali e fanno accadere momenti indimenticabili 😍😍😍

These guys are genius!!! I just love the harmony of this song..
This was so awesome to watch. The whole process of making a music is fascinating.
By the way the camera was excellent too. Loved the shots. 🙂
Seeing Butch and Dave next to each other always feels like a piece of music history encapsulated in a two-shot.
Just love it - like all Foo, can't stop listening, can't get enough of them!
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
+polojic haha Hawkins is hilarious
FUCKIN' INSANEEE
FUCKIN YA
This is just magestic! What a great piece or pure art!
Love this rough cut. Taylor's drums are so good!
Imagine being Dave Grohl's daughter. That must be awesome!
i always dream of him being my father!! :) And me his son!
Fayez Rafi ok that's a bit weird
I bet it is! he didn't force his daughter to love rock musics. He even brought her and her friends to watch Katy Perry's concert!
wtf dude
Fave band - above the Beatles and that's a statement. There's no but,...
The best band keeps on getting better>>>
Is one of the best songs whenever made. Make us cry, but also feel a inexplicable happiness
Thank you mr costa for all these excellent videos! They all show the genius of these gifted musicians. The best record I've listened to in years.
Taylor, you were the best ever
3:16 OMG hahaha, RIP Hawkins :(, miss you energy
Oh God!!!
That was an exceptional experience!
Thanks for sharing!
those teenagers are so frikking lucky
Dave Grohl is my inspiration to write music.
+Andrew James And my inspiration to learn how to play guitar at 45. Just. Awesome.
This song touched me man

this one will be a classic next to Everlong one day (ok maybe not quite...). At 2.42 Butch just goes "yep, this is fuckin awesome".

RIP Taylor. Extreme stoke! We'll miss you...
Just wow!!!! Love this song so much, it gives me chills
The video man is doing a great job
Great album! Love the Foo Fighters
love, sounds like a cute set! roll on!
Love me some Foo Fighters! Thanks for the upload. I wondered what inspired them to add the orchestra. So cool that they are a youth orchestra.
Best song on the album. LOVE it!
Perfección.
that girl with the rainbow hair in the NASA shirt is my hero.
Best song EVER!
Awesome great music song rock. Audio. Band concert. Great show.
Taylor jumps every time he hits the snare lol

Already beautiful guitars at the start
The best foo's song ever written

I LOVE this song❤️❤️❤️
Too cool !!
How musically rich it is!!! Great!!
..........fuckin amazing song!! I love this so much...
Those kids nailed the hell out of it!

I don't understand why they barely haven't played this on Concerts..

Greatness
one of my favorite FF songs!
just feels like i am carving the powder in the slopes in slow mo! awwwwweeeeSOMEness!
"Nice story dad" BEST PART
you guys are so good it's ricockulous
tears are flying...
I fucking love the process...u guys rock
Taylor is my cat waking up every time he hits that snare😂
2:31 that piece Dave plays adds so much to the chorus
Why do all drummers have to open their mouth on the snare hit?? LOL Taylor does it, and I know lots of others who do it too.
+sullimd because it feels awesome
It's very loud.
When you really whack the snare with each hit, it's like you're releasing your inner chi lol. That's really all it is. An exhilation of energy
It's actually a timing thing. Just as a drummers left, or, right leg, always bouncing on the hi-hat pedal. It helps with timing/feel.
That's what we call a fucking music 🎶. Amazing
Fooooooooooooooooodaaaaaa!!!
What I wouldn't give to be a part of this. I'd keep the "fresh pots" a comin'
I had to quit violin because of degenerative disc disease in my spine, this makes me wanna cry
Damn Dave you know how to lay it down don't ya
I'm not crying, YOU ARE CRYING!
Anyone knows the model of the gibson that chris uses for the final harmonics?
Taylor Hawkins. Wow.
Rip Taylor
3:23 is the greatest
Sibelius mainittu, torille...
Tuon kaljat
It's an ES140
Nice story dad XD

Love this. This is the song for me and my daughter
Visconti is a genius.
That snare sounds bonkers
The second I head this song on the album I fell absolutely in love with it. Now I appreciate it even more. I AM A RIVER!!!! That's my ringtone
"You should've ..."
