MICRO 🤏 🤏MESH ❌ ❗️IS ITS 👏OWN 👏GRIT👏 SYSTEM IT STARTS 🏁AT 1500 💯😱😱AND GOES 🗣️✅THROUGH➡️ TO 12000 🤯🙀😱
Pls never stop saying this
@@marcusemery332 Agreed! I'm expecting it every time and the episode wouldn't feel complete without it.
Lol every episode. A simple google search for micro mesh tells you all the things.
Peter that Bracelet is Gorgeous.
I'm in the third category. I knew there was a membrane in the egg. I didn't consider that it would possibly impede the dye.
I'm a 4th category. I thought he was leaving it on intentionally so the shells would stay white on one side and blue on the other for some cool contrast.
I'm in the fifth category, I had no idea eggs existed
@@cobiebeeffunny!
I also knew it was there and assumed that's where the foaming came drom, but I didn't consider it blocking the dye either.
@@cobiebeef
😂😂😂😂
Good 1!!
Cheers
My man has never made hardboiled eggs. Or, alternatively, he’s always made them so flawlessly that they always peeled perfectly.
Maybe he just doesn’t like hard boiled eggs? Scramble is easier to do?
@@glass4600hard boiled may be easier for longevity & transport (like lunch or keeping in the fridge for later) but scrambled is superior! May the white & yolk never be separated again!
Even just breaking an egg you can SEE the membrane.
Bake the shells at 350-400 for an hour or so. Basically disintegrates the membrane and breaks down the natural waxes in the shell, which should also allow the dye to penetrate deeper. Was told about that by a guy who created small carved shell nightlights.
That fantastic! I'll give it a shot. And my back thanks you too.
This effect is very, very cool looking. This was a shell of a project! 🥚 👍😄
@@deannam-host6584 *slow clap*
Ive made eggshell art pieces before, my method of choice was placing them into bleach, bleach will eat the membrane away, but the outer shell will be untouched. Leave it to dry out and no smell, nothing. Placing them into oven may cause brown spots and weird smell if you dont seal it later. By the way, you can use wood glue to glue them, if you glue a glass surface, place a big chunk on and crush it onto the surface, it will create smaller cracked pieces on it, after a little mosaic work, it will create interesting lamp shades and candle holders.
350-400 for an hour !? You'll end up with burned black egg shell 😂
Not sure if you had any leftover shells, or if you saved them, but I think a neat idea would be a spatula handle, with different colored shells, so you can flip your eggs, with shells
The vinegar is slowly dissolving the egg, basically etching it. The dye attaches to the etched surface really well, that's why it only sticks to the surface instead of going through the whole thing.
When I was in middle school we had a science project where we just dropped an egg into a beaker full of vinegar and left it for like a week, after which point it was just the inner squishy bits left over.
If you are careful that squishy bag will bounce after the shell is all dissolved away
If you put that squishy bag in water it will absorb it and blow up, and you can poke a hole in it and it squirts it out like a mini fountain.
I did that in high school chemistry as well, the eggs get quite bouncy
I'm a crazy chicken lady, of course I know about the membrane. Cool side note, I have a breed of chickens called Easter Eggers ( technically a mix of Americana and aurucauna) but they lay blue/green shelled eggs. The cool part of that is these eggs have fully blue shells, unlike brown eggs where the brown is a layer added just to the outside
Are you going to send shells to Peter? I want to see this!
I grew up with those kinds of chickiens. I thought of them immediately when he started doing this. I think they would look really cool in a bracelet like this.
Oh, definitely! Please send some shells to Peter? Pleeeaase??? Really want to see them 🥚🥚🥚
With regards to egg membrane, Use boiled egg shells its far easier to locate and remove the membrane when you peel the egg. That bracelet made me think of the famous Japanese wave painting. I wonder what effect could be created by stacking the shell rather than random placement! Excellent as ever thank you both for sharing x
That's what I was thinking too! As pretty as the faces of the shells are, I think I like the edges with a little bit of blue face in between better! It'd be really cool if someone could do this but do it on a flat plane and select them individually to make some kind of painting, like the Japanese wave thing, but in shells 😄
Peter, I like the egg-speriment. I think it turned out very wearable. As for the gold leaf blank, I think a pen to write checks with would be a fun idea. Thanks for the great video and for taking us along.
I agree with the pen idea.
Make a fountain pen! Might as well go all in.
I didn't think about a pen! I defaulted to a handle for something but a pen would look gorgeous
Every time I see you spray mold release I wonder if dry shampoo (which is basically spray baby powder) would work the same. Maybe something to try for the next Dye Trying segment.
the micro mesh part is honestly kind of therapeutic. i love the shine it gives items, and when you explain it it's kind of like a little ritual. Ah, yes, the micro mesh tantra. we are now entering zen.
Good video as always Peter!
Fun thing. You can dissolve the shell in vinegar but it won't break down the membrane leaving you with a bouncy egg.
Very cool project! You should do this again but don't dye the egg shells after removing the membrane. I think having a dyed side (maybe black or another strong color) and a plain white inside could be a cool effect.
It's absolutely insane to me that anyone who ate eggs or even broken eggs before didn't know they have a membrane...
As for the result... It's probably my favorite thing you've ever done and I'd love one but smaller and less thick cuz this is one chonky bracelet
It’s a big boy. Haha
More a bangle for the missus
Peter, once again, absolutely stunning. The depth of color offset by sharp white contrast is gorgeous. It had me thinking it would be incredible if you made it as a thin panel/veneer for a box lid or used different colors for a stained glass/marquetry.
A tip. You can peel a good chunk of the membrane right after you crack the egg open. You won't get it all, but should get 50-75% and it's easy enough you can throw the rest out and just eat more eggs.
I love the white interior of the eggshells, it looks super 80s! I bet it would look wonderful with a fluorescent/black light dye as well
Actually the white of the egg is going to really glow under black light. Even the pieces further inside that you didn't really notice before.
This is one of my favorite finished looks in all the projects I've seen you post. I'm really curious what a lot of colors would look like, and also what a finer crushed shell might pose to be.
What would a Dipit episode on foam peanuts look like, could you stabalize them? They would expand greatly in the vacuum chamber, I'd love to see your take on this!
Very cool, I was definitely hoping for a blacklight shot though! Also, my wife said to try baking the eggshells - the membrane should separate easier and it has the added benefit of sterilizing the shells
I love the script you set up with the laser. It’s neat!
The finished bracelet is beautiful. Anybody that likes the color blue would love this.
I giggled at every single “punny” joke. Your sense of humor is one of the reasons why I subscribed.
Ive always found that its easiest yo remove the egg shell membrane when you wash out the eggs while they are still large. Once you start to break them into smaller pieces it gets really difficult to get it all. Best of luck next time! ❤
Great video! Bad sponsor... BetterHelp sells your most vulnerable information to other companies.
that’s okay, we live in a nightmare.
Please everyone try to make peter more aware of this.😊
They're also huge scammers and lie about a lot of their practices!!
A bunch of us said this the last time he had them as a sponsor. I'm not sure he's actually reading what we're saying.
@@VictoriousBardhe may also not be able to do anything about it because of a contract.
Looks like a fun and over-easy project! Glad removing the membrane wasn't too hard-boiled. 😉 So glad I now have company inside the pot. I was getting lonely in there.
The white seams make that absolutely beautiful!
Thank you for the lovely chill videos!
As for the gold leaf... I think it would make for some wonderful looking knife scales.
ESPECIALLY if you can get your hands on a knife blank of non-typical material, like bronze or silver or ceramics... Or maybe something etched, though those I assume are even more expensive than bronze and silver.
Love that ADR of Peter correcting himself about Bracelets all having holes
I've like alot of your projects, but this, to me, is one of the most beautiful resin inclusions you've done. I want to make something with resin and dyed eggshells now. My trouble is I have almost none of the necessary things. I do have eggs!
love how it turned out. It's so so pretty. I wonder if using finer pieces or a variety of different coloured eggshells would give worthwhile results.
All those egg puns... oeuf
Loved this project. Nice work Peter.
Love the final project!
Amazing results. I've watched you for years adn this one came out astounding!
I love the final finish! A beautiful abstract pattern~
When it was getting foamy I was thinking hmm that might be because of the membranes, but I didn’t think it would impede the dying process
I thought it was egg white residue.
I assumed it was just the calcium carbonate in the eggshells slowly reacting with the vinegar
one of my favorite projects of yours. truly beautiful!
This became my favorite project of yours. Great puns and a beautiful final product. Well done.
this looks wonderfully elegant. bravo!
Oh, absolutely love how that turned out.
This looks stunning! So beautiful!! I'd love to have a piece like that
Beautiful outcome! I love it
This was hands down one of the coolest dipits you have done ever.
A lovely piece of work. Well done.
Oh wow that's stunning! The colours plus the shattered look of the eggshells makes it look a lot like old porcelain (with the blue painted patterns)
I 💕 the final results.. the pattern was awesome.
the white lines make it look so pretty. incredible work!
The shells in the blue look like waves on the ocean!!! So pretty ❤
I don't know why, but when I saw the blue eggshell pieces, the first thought in my head was 'alien cornflakes'. Like that would be something an alien or spaceman would have for breakfast in a sci-fi movie.
Edit: The combination of resin ribbons and eggshell dust coming off the piece is a really neat visual effect!
I always look forward to your videos. Thank you!
This is gorgeous! It makes me think of raden/urushi, the Japanese lacquer technique that often uses pieces of eggshell in the art. Lovely stuff!
Really cool pattern! Nice work.
GREAT project Peter. I really like the edge of the shells in the finished product. Yet another win! !! !!!
Great video Peter, keep up the good work. Thank you for posting.
Love it! Turned out Beautiful!
We are going to need more egg projects. That texture looks amazing!
I like how you name your tools and chucks before using them. Thank you!
One of the coolest projects you've made!
That's beautiful. And just in time for Easter!
This turned out beautifully Peter! 💙🥚
That turned out so much cooler than I anticipated!
Love the design
This is so cool! Beautiful result for sure 😃
Really enjoyed those little white streaks on the very edge of the bracelet. Very interesting design and another great project
Long time fan. Love the new lathe decor
That blue turned out to be a great shade in the end!
One of the coolest looking pieces I've seen in a while. Which is meaningful for this channel.
It is a very beautiful bracelet. I would have never thought of egg shells looking so pretty.
That looks phenomenal Peter!
I think its beautiful. A lovely thing for sure. Thanks for sharing another fab video!!
I love it! It actually reminds me a little bit of the Blue Jean Pocket watch and Bracelet
That turned out beautifully! Love the white edging. I knew the membrane wS there but didn't know it would affect the dyeing.
I LOVE this project! It’s exactly the sort of thing that shows off the capabilities of resin in a fascinating and aesthetically pleasing way! Plus, it’s made from garbage, which is always great!
the eggshell looks really really good in that blue, the final product is very nice
I can see a lot of cool applications for this.
That looks mesmerizing Peter, well done Sir.
That turned out especially beautiful!
Wow that's a great project came out beautiful
Nice project, turned out really beautiful
That is stunning. Love it.
Love the project. Love the NCR t-shirt!
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
No yolk! You absolutely cracked that one. I'm sure the fashionistas would be willing to shell out for something as egg-cellent as this.
OK, am done now :)
Seriously, I love the contrast between the internal part of the shell and the dyed outers.
This turned out amazing
Beautiful results. I know about the membrane's of egg but I don't think I would have ever thought about it until it became an issue. Really wonderful results.
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve watched one of your videos, but you’re looking good and sounding happy and more passionate in this video Mr Brown! Appreciate the better help sponsorship also, it feels like a lot of people (including myself) are dealing with the heavy side of life these days
It immediately reminded me of the denim pocket watch with the denim blue dye and white lines from the edges of the egg shells
That turned out so beautiful.
That's looks bloody awesome! Great job 👏👏👏
I love the awesome design.
That turned out to be beautiful and incredibly unique! Thanks for demonstrating this! I also very much appreciate your transparency in sharing your struggles. That took a lot of guts, sponsorship or not. Kudos to you! ❤
The results are so pretty, it turned out so much better than I was expecting. Also I love the shirt
what an eggs-citing video!! I want to see more egg projects, that looked so cool.
Awesome project ❤
This is a very informative video. I knew about the membrane, but had no clue it would stop the underside from taking the dye. The pattern on the finished bracelet is so beautiful. I really enjoyed watching the whole video. Thank you for sharing information about your sponsor. ❤❤❤
I love how this came out. I think this color with some of the gold leaf flakes in it would be beautiful
I love this! I want one!
This turned out so beautiful, the overall effect really makes me think of watercolour, with the gradients and patterns like sweeping brushstrokes. Also I think the golf leaf blank you made would look gorgeous set into a bracelet like that, the blue and gold and similar textures with really compliment eachother I think.
I absolutely love the way you remind me, better safe than wrong
Looks amazing man!
Fabulous result, love it. I use egg shells a lot in my craft work, I soak them in warm soapy water for up to 1 hour, membranes will come off easily, then put them into the dye.
Love how this turned out! Such an egg-cellent effect! 🥚💙
wow that joke works only in englisch xD
That looks so cool, the dyed outer layer and the stark white inner shell are such an amazing, graphic look :)
While I did know eggs have a membrane, I did not consider it affecting the dye job since I've only ever dyed eggs once as a child.
