Couple of ideas if you come across these materials again. For the crayons would like to see pink or another color mixed in to mix up the blue more (if you didn't already try) for the cotton balls, mix the colors more so it's more of a tye dye look to it.

this channel is a study in hindsight.
what we learned today; when making anything crayon that has a bit of mass, use a core, threaded rod or something.
when melting many crayon colors, they homogenize, isolate colors when melting and only mix them during the pour.... (can you nuke them in the microwave?)
    cottonballs are messy but cool!
suggestion for future project: use cotton pads instead, might let you mix color layers (or make micarta out of it)

Cotton + Resin is basically micarta. Something similar to chopped carbon fiber. With a similar process to what is used for making chopped CF, I bet you could get really good a really strong result with a mold that allows you to use clamping pressure instead of the pressure pot and is also designed to allow excess resin to flow out when it is clamped.

I've worked with beeswax a few times in the past, and I'm wondering if putting the melted crayon in a vacuum or pressure pot wouldn't help get rid of the voids. I imagine it would also do some amazing things with the swirl patterns.

It's interesting to me that you said that Crayola Crayons melt at 141°F. Makes me wonder about the sidewalks at my Elementary school now. LoL! We would melt them on the sidewalk or asphalt. You know, "Heat of the sun science experiments." Great video. I would agree with the comment about the "making simple projects out of the wrong material", but that's why I love this channel. Thank you.

The scene where you are stirring the mica powder into the resin gave me such a powerful flashback! Holy cow, it was 50 years ago and I was stirring Testors paint in the little jars, getting ready to paint a Revell model plane or car. I could even smell the paint! Maybe some time you could do something with plastic model parts in resin.

i was sad to see the blue go, but mrs. brown definitely made the right call. the purple looks so good, and the way it swirls into the yellow is really good too.

I'll never tire of hearing about the micro mesh grid system. At first it was kind of just like a little inside joke but at this point it's nostalgic.
