this channel is a study in hindsight.
what we learned today; when making anything crayon that has a bit of mass, use a core, threaded rod or something.
when melting many crayon colors, they homogenize, isolate colors when melting and only mix them during the pour.... (can you nuke them in the microwave?)
    cottonballs are messy but cool!
suggestion for future project: use cotton pads instead, might let you mix color layers (or make micarta out of it)

The purple in the handle looks a bit like a galaxy with the little white specs and swirls!

The scene where you are stirring the mica powder into the resin gave me such a powerful flashback! Holy cow, it was 50 years ago and I was stirring Testors paint in the little jars, getting ready to paint a Revell model plane or car. I could even smell the paint! Maybe some time you could do something with plastic model parts in resin.

When you said "cotton balls and crayons" my first thought was "Oh that'll be flammable for sure"...
Might be a cool idea to get the crayons just barely up to temperature very evenly in the oven so the colours stay gloppier and mix less. Requires more patience but might yield cool results.
