Great to see that all the islands and places I used to skindive and fish 50 years age are still as pristine as they were back then.
Despite the boat stuff which is a bit blah for me personally you are still my favourite UA-cam channel by miles. Nobody does rockfishing better and that includes the video skills.
Your videos helped keep me sane during the lockdown/quarantine. You’ve just gotten better at the YT craft. I love the content and the video production quality. The fishing is insane. Looking forward to what you can do with 500,000 subs.

Those Fox fish could be 30 to 40 years old. They don't get to big. They taste like grouper. Average. A good feed of sand whiting any day. Grouper, foxies, Queenie's. And big female dhues we let go.

Bring some starch with ya! Some rice or taters. The timing is a bit of a pain if you intend to cook in one pot, but the rice adds so much and is super light to carry in.

Just spent the weekend hiking around the Valley of Fire in the desert outside of Las Vegas. The rock formations were awesome and reminded me somewhat of where you guys are in WA. Let's trade places. No fish in the VoF but I'm sure you would dig it.

another trick when filleting is instead of cutting through the skin at the tail, flip the fillet over so it's skin side down away from the body of the fish and use the connected skin to put your finger(s) through to hold back when running the knife between the skin (that's skill connected to the body) and the meat, instead of holding on for dear life on the cut off end of skin.

yeah, as soon as you make that final slice separating the tail you've made your job five times more difficult. keep the skin attached to the tail and stick your finger through the "U" when you flip the fillet end over (makes the fish twice as long) to hold back when you run your knife between the skin and the meat.
