Awesome day at the beach, I have caught a bunch of land based kingi's but only on Kahawai live bait (trout for you aussi blokes) That last fish was epic and I don't think i've caught anything land based that damn big...... but I did catch a bigger one out of a ten foot tinny about 20 years ago....... it was massive at 6.1 feet and 101lbs...... the real kicker was that I caught it on a $10 kids rod with 6lb mono and a trout fly haha....... took me 2 bloody hours to get it in the boat. Sounds like a fish story but I swear it's true. Guys that was an epic session and congrats to both of you on your awesome fish, well done.
AT 4:55 your line touched the rock at your feet and its snapped :( what an awesome session though! Hopefully I get to experience bluefin off the rocks one day !
