It's shows like this that tug on the heart strings. Boy do i miss Scott. For me and in my time he's one the best front man of out there . Hope to see him on the other side weather it's North or South ! haa
It's crazy that this is the first year since 2011 that I haven't even been to this particular fest. They moved to the fairgrounds for this year only and had to remodel the place where this concert was.
Some folks commented that he didnt seem very enthusiastic during this performance. After he passed his family revealed he was 3 million dollars in debt. That would wear down any working person trying to get out of that hole.Throw in the drug relapse that created a lethal combo.Rip Scott grateful to have seen him live twice with STP once with VR
He actually looks like he had been clean for a little while before his death. Not only does he sound great here but he actually looks pretty good too. That's not something you were really used to hearing or seeing at any point and a 15 years prior to his death.
It feels so weird that I went to this event every year 2013-2019 and this year, I didn't go. Sad that there are several musicians I saw there who have passed away.
I was at that festival & don’t get me wrong, greatful I got to at least see Scott perform, but he didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. After each song he was just say “this is the next song”. & sadly we would lose him just a couple months later. 😢
In perspective, imagine if you had experienced the absolute highs of the industry and then be reduced to this type of stage and venue. It makes sense that Scott wouldn't want to be there. I think it was beneath him and he knew he deserved better. Sad and pitiful all round. Good man, and could have been better without the mess :(
I hate heroin for this and everybody who produces it and pushes it. Damn stuff has taken some of the greatest talents of our time. And before it did it ruined all his friendships, his band, and his health.
It was hit or miss with him the last five years of his life. Some shows he was brilliant, others he was simply wasted off his ass to perform. Thankfully I got the good nights when I saw him live.
I saw STP and the show was good not knowing scott would be gone a decade later when I heard he passed I just new that it was dope dude had a demon never could shake it
A guy I saw locally last night was playing Vasoline and it got me thinking about Scott. I heard Chris Cornell (actually back in Soundgarden) during his last little time alive too. It's weird with Eddie Vedder being the only main one still here.
Last time I saw him STP was opening up for the the Chili Peppers and he came out in his pink boa and was absolutley ELECTRIC. RHCP were my fave band at the time and Weiland and STP blew them off the stage. I don't think there's a band on Earth that coulda followed Weiland and STP that night. So yea..this stuff is pretty sad to see even tho he still sounds good
I wish I would have got to see him actually in STP when he was alive. Chris Cornell is the only grunge singer I saw in concert with his original members.
Man....and the fact I got to hear Chris Cornell one of his last few times in concert, a couple of years later. It was a couple of weeks before he passed away.
@@petersokol1603 thats just the facts! and thats coming from a junkie ! sit think of the shit ive said to hotel workers people in general etc. i wonder why what few teeth i have left aint been knocked out and im no rock star aint even in a band just spent last decade working out of town until i couldn't hide my addiction any more after losing 110 lbs , sad and flat out pathetic life it is. yet ask me if i could have one thing back in my life, wife , kids , cars , home , boats or face 1st in a plate of coke what would i do? well you can do the math ! junkie yes , but the only one you cant get the truth out of!

This was actually one of my favorite looks Scott ever had. His beard/hair looks so badass

Yeah, that's true man. You never know what was goin through his mind either.

@@kathynash8183 It's still crazy when you think about it, Eddie Vedder is pretty much the one 90s Seattle grunge singer even alive now too.
He could preach it through
Sufría mucho 😢
Joey Castillo!!!!
He still can crack it up, One of the best Frontman all time, Rock On Brother 🙏😇
That girl in the audience is having a good time.

Same for meth or other drugs
Hell, he actually sounds good here
It was hit or miss with him the last five years of his life. Some shows he was brilliant, others he was simply wasted off his ass to perform. Thankfully I got the good nights when I saw him live.
What? Maybe 7 years here you changed your mind...i mean...this performance is a mess
He doesn't tho. So many good performances, this isn't one.
Let's not forget he is one of the greatest singers of all time... him and Layne Staley are my favorites. RIP Scott and Layne
I saw STP and the show was good not knowing scott would be gone a decade later when I heard he passed I just new that it was dope dude had a demon never could shake it
R.I.P.
Blaster is a pretty good album.
It took me a minute to get used to Blaster, but after a certain point, I have fallen in love with the album.
Run when you see the megaphone...It means very bad things have happened. Sad 🤨
Earth Soul RocknRoll...
just makes me wanna slap cell phone out of way
The guitarist is playing the riff wrong 🤦♂️🤣
That's what you get when it's not the original STP
Shat, just listen to the solo!🙉
Just seven month after..... he died
And I think I think to much
Just think..6 months from this performance he would be dead…such a waste ..hopefully he is at peace with never a need for drugs again.

Can always count on Joey C
Uh.....this is some county fair level shit right here.
Dude went from top of the world to this.....junkie.

Fucking cell phone.....
Went to selling out arenas to this wow lol
It's sad that this was only a few months before he passed
I had a seance at my house last night.. Scott told me to tell you that your mama sold out arenas!
@@Ol_Ben Are you a fan of The man I didn't know? I have it somewhere on vHS on Carson Daily.
So sad. 😪
Finished
Doesn't even sound like STP.
It's not STP.
Because it’s not
Sounds like a shitty bar band backing him up.
I wish I would have got to see him actually in STP when he was alive. Chris Cornell is the only grunge singer I saw in concert with his original members.
@@Ol_Ben I got to see STP back in 1997 right after Scott got out of rehab and was clean. It was an excellent concert.
@j.t.cooper2963 Hardy did a cover of Big Empty in Memphis last year too. Grunge still lives on.
What mess! Horrible performance. All out of time. A mess!
STP doesn't even seem the same without Scott now.
Was John Baker the bass player of mad Season in this band before he died
No John Baker Sauders died if a heroin overdose in 1999
bAKER = Walka.... no Wilda....
No, baker was in the walkabouts. Similar name
Kinda sucks
Man....and the fact I got to hear Chris Cornell one of his last few times in concert, a couple of years later. It was a couple of weeks before he passed away.
What a sad way to end it.
To add insult to injury, STP fired him when he was still alive

The rest of STP are crack-smokers.
