- A truly remarkable Pokémon Snap record has been achieved on the River stage, and I simply must inform you of this amazing story. Feketerigo has done it again! A double perfect Porygon picture, worth 5800 points! But how did he do it, what does it mean, and what might come next? Enjoy this video explaining the World Record History of Pokémon Snap, and subscribe for more gaming analysis, speedrun world record history, and explanation of amazing gaming feats achieved on Nintendo 64 in the nostalgic 90's era.

It indeed just keeps happening.
5:35 you can tell he had that down to an art, the previous and current picture look almost identical
You mean "down to a science" perhaps, because art isn't exactly all about repeatability...
@@NightKev
Hey, sometimes science is more "art" than "science."
What exactly a virtual Pokémon is doing inside a wall is beyond me, but I love how happy it and its friend are, sharing an apple by the river, it's truly peaceful and serene. Congratulations, feketerigo, for achieving the perfect Porygon picture!
Taoist Porygon
Conversion!
lol, the wall
@@jessehunter362 Indeed!
Oh wow this triggered some memories, I remember when I was a kid getting this perfectly symmetrical shot of two Magmars who both ran towards the apple at the exact same time and then did the animation directly facing each other. I was too young to really understand the scoring and no one else I knew played the game, but I'll never forget getting that high score.
I would’ve been ok with a 2 hour in depth look at this.
One day there won't be any more speedrun discoveries, and after a few months of no posting goose will make a video saying "my friends, it has finally stopped happening." And then will never post again.
Oh no....I guess they I can just look at some weird places in video games instead.
I love the long videos so I'd gladly watch a multi hour breakdown of just about anything you decided to put out there
Love the short format. Also love the long format.
Loved it! I still like longer videos too, but I think it’s perfectly fine to split up between longer vids with a shorter one!
I love all the Pokemon Snap recently!
Every time he says "it just keeps happening" I get hype.
There's something so simply satisfying watching my old favorite games being performed at a world record level. Back in the day, a dude like that would have all the street cred on the playground. Thanks for covering this 🙌
Actually quite happy about the shorter videos. Honestly not a big fan of those super long videos (not talking about yours, but more in general) that talk about the history of the entire world before coming to the point.
Your Pokemon Snap videos are always my favorites!
Great video Goose. I don't know why I love your videos so much. I was quite disappointed to see that this video was almost a week old before appearing in my feed but at least it knew to put it at the very top when it did appear.
Enjoyed the format and content. I've never even played that game but I really liked this vid! Well done 👍
Not sure what it'd do to the algorithm, but I love the shorter form videos for the bite-sized pieces among the longer videos. Then you could upload compilations of the shorter videos to appease the algorithm. Either way, always love your stuff man!
Thank you Ethan!
Freaking amazing!
Also I think the shorter video pushed the algorithm my way. Glad to have found you.
Porygon is so cool! I miss him in smash 😔
Loved the video! Great work asusual
I've never thought I'd become so invested in Pokemon Snap, life really has its surprises huh, who am I?
Dude played like a TAS to get that picture!
Has there ever been 5800 TAS? If not that makes this even more remarkable.
I like the longer ones, but whatever you do is cool
Another amazing video
Don't mind the short videos. I watch your content with my kids on the TV anyway.
nice work!
Love your videos
Thank you, Goose, for actually using the word 'literally' correctly. Keep fighting the good fight.
I literally appreciate it
I cannot believe that once again, my friends, it has happened.
I love these pokemon snap videos
Sick video!
Loved your Blue Mario video from a while back! Just watched it again while writing for a "N64 iceberg", lol.
@@GamerFolklore appreciate it!! Lmk if you need help with the iceberg video. I got quite some N64 knowledge and have a few unique n64 collectibles at home!
Loved the vid
congratulations on 100k subs.
I think the sub-10 minute videos are fine, so long as they don't get crushed by the algo.
Got a random question for you: do you have a place where you routinely announce when speedlore will be streaming?
Patreon is the only place I always announce it ahead of time.
@@GamerFolklore thanks, subbed on Patreon.
@@Swim_Jonse Thank you!
such a cool video. Such a cool channel in fact
When a picture on an n64 game "takes your breath away." Lol
I love these Pokemon snap videos!
This is so much more understandable than Goldeneye or Mario ‘perfect’s to me cause 1. I played this game thoroughly and 2. On-rails means there is far, far less room for creativity and record-breaking possibilities.
And because it’s that understandable, I get the insanity of that perfect luck and skill, but it’s still just like “wow… who bothers with this????”
I dunno why but Pokemon Snap seems less interesting to break than, say, SMB1 on the NES… just cause it somehow feels so much more simple than even SMB when it comes to these game breaks
Just popped my old Snap cartridge into my N64 and my best Porygon score was 3370. I do have both Porygon in the picture, but they're using the green texture and not the best pose. Maybe I could improve it, but I dislike the River course in general...
4800 is very easy!
It just won't stop happening!
Beautiful
Thumbs up. You know, you don't need to write an essay each time you want to do a video. If what you want to cover only makes a 5 minute video, it's perfectly fine!
I like the longer more detail videos
It seems like you're not the only one. I appreciate the honest feedback!
These shorter videos are good for when I'm home. I can watch one, do something, watch another. I do prefer longer videos myself, as longer videos at work prevent me from needing to check my phone too often, but either way, I like these updates about Snap records too. I never got into the game as a kid, despite loving the Pokemon franchise, and I know like most other pokemon stuff, the records are nearly perfect. Hearing someone having broke one is really neat. This game in particular is basically an art form. Ironic considering it's about photography.
Would love to see some New Snap stuff if anything interesting is happening over there.
Pokémon Snap videos are so sick
It just keeps happening!
Nice!
I'm slightly embarrassed to admit Pokemon snap is one of my favorite N64 games but extremely embarrassed to admit I had no idea you could get Porygon to his normal colors, that alone just blew my mind
What are some of the hardest pokemon to set up? I was just poking around and was blown away that 3 Arcanine were possible. Never conceived that as a kid. Best untied records?
Subscribed because made reddit seethe.
Same.
Oh snap!
8min is the ideal length if you ask me.
More Pokemon Snap! More 10 minute videos! :D
my friends... i love the pokemon snap content!
I enjoyed this video on Pokémon Snap
Oh snap
It keeps happening! Woohoo!
It just keeps happening.
Definitely prefer the longer content goose, still great though!
I liked it a lot
Yes!!
I almost got a heart attack when I saw the moment live on stream. It literally became black in front of my eyes and I had to lie down to prevent fainting.
It was an amazing moment and the best thing that happened in my life in 2023 so far.
that's kinda weird bro.
@@SolidBladeSnake dude, i play Pokemon Snap 6, 7 hours each day. My life is fucking dedicated to the game!
Nice
Interesting
what's wrong babe, you've barely touched your new Goose video
It's just... too mind blowing to contain. Too much to consume!
Besides, it's hard to chew your food when your jaw is on the floor!!!

My friends, it just keeps Snap-ening!
Pokémon snap is probably the most boring speed/score run. Can you do histories of speedruns or even "retro looking games" they would fit within the "old style" videogame and with todays ingenuity, I'm sure plenty of games have changing metas and new discoveries all the time. Just a suggestion
🙄
Look into his old account. Disturbing is an understatement.
I was stupid and ignorant back then. I try to be better and more loving these days. That's all I can do.
Yikerinos redditors!
Polygon is genderless. Please don't misgender tgem
The muk photo was incredible...
THIS IS FREAKIN' MIND BLOWING!!!
Is this the first ever double perfect ever snapped???
The ramifications are ASTOUNDING!!!
The whole meta has been inextricably changed forever!
Theoretical maxes have ALL been confirmed!
Jaw-dropping is indeed the proper description, and response. I know it's what I did!
Insane!!!
do brown people still scare you
No. I was a lost, dumbass back then. Today, I just want peace and love for everyone.
It’s good, but I like the long format
Cheers!
