I just love all the info you pack into one video. You may not realize it, but the way you reference street names and buildings really orientates us to that particular area. Also, didnt know there were that many places to stay on that street. We stayed at blackfriars loft. Not the big hotel looking one. More the small apartment one. Beautiful but pricey. Thanks for the video!

Hi Tony, the reason they have removed the grass in the gardens, is part of the National Galleries of Scotland’s £22m project which will create a new home for the world’s greatest collection of Scottish art and see former office, storage and display spaces completely transformed so that visitors can, for the first time, enter the gallery directly from the adjacent East Princes Street Gardens. 😊

Your videos have helped me to find new venues to visit with friends and great places to visit. Keep them coming, there are so many people in Scotland who don't know our history, I am one. Your light hearting videos are very informative and entertaining.

When I first heard about Patreon I was against it... thinking people just asking for money. As I've watched more and more vlogs in UA-cam, I've realized that it's not asking for money but rather a way for subscribers to say Thank You for you hard work in providing this video for us to watch. If I were you I'd get a Patreon account and mention it in your videos but not push it and for those of us would would like to send a 5 or 10 pound tip we could. If you decide agains it that's fine.... I'll be visiting Edinburgh 17th May through 27th May so I'd be happy to meet up with you and your significant other to buy you lunch and a pint. So in short... thank you for all your time in producing the videos and it's helped me in deciding what site to see while in Edinburgh. Also any suggestions for local pubs in the Leith area where I'll be staying for a friendly atmosphere where they won't look at an American as the anti christ?

There are a lot of nice bars on leith walk, you will be fine I'm sure. Still undecided about patreon... you may have guessed i am not good at receiving praise or thanks really. But i might just do it and casually mention it once a month or something. You are right, not the kind of thing i would push down people throat.

I've said it before. You would make an excellent private tour guide, for couples or singles visiting Edinburgh. Anyway, I am a big fan and we (four of us) visited Scotland last September and were overwhelmed by the beauty, friendliness and wonderful food (we ate at some great restaurants). Edinburgh was awesome and we wished we had more time (two weeks in total for the entire trip) and with a proper guide, our trip might have been even better. Cheers, and continued success (enjoyment)!

Another cracking good video of Market Street, Tony, and quite informative. My mate and I drove down Market from Princes Street off the Mile to our hotel. The shoppes in the arches must have been under renovation/construction when my mate and I were there in September 2015, dinnae realise those arches were underneath our hotel. LOL As for the Tattoo Office and restaurants/pubs you mentioned, I/we, sadly, dinnae take time to check out, ...Next trip. I am like you, the Edinburgh Council Chambers look to be as out of place architecturally as does the Parliament building. Slàinte.

You are way more entertaining than the other Scottish vloggers I watch regularly, and all of them have patreon (read-me thinks they try too hard sometimes). I still like them, don't get me wrong.
