Have only just discovered your wonderful videos and am working my way through them. I lived and worked in Edinburgh 20 years ago discovering the heritage of my parents. It was one of the best times in my life. I love Edinburgh, just not the weather so much. Hoping to visit again in the near future. Best wishes to you both. Keep up the great work. Cheers Phillipa, Australia 😎💂🏻♀️🐨
We’ve had afternoon tea at The Dome, it was a lovely experience and a fabulous building inside as well as out. We also tend to eat a lot at Wetherspoons as it’s reasonable, the foods good pub food, the building was a bank and still has a lot of the fixtures and fittings and it’s not far from our hotel. Another great video Tony.
Very interesting video, Tony. We didn’t make it to George Street. I think it’s always worth it to meander in a city to see what are in the nooks and crannies off the popular spots. What is the building with the white façade at 3:27? I like the skeleton. Your city is beautiful and your videos help bring out things that everyone should see besides what’s in the tourism pages. Like another commenter had said, I love your videos but it makes me miss the city so much.
Lovely walk about of George Street. Glad you finally met your first fan face-to-face. Too bad my friend and I could not have had the tyme to go walkies on George Street and Princes Street in 2015, ...tyme constraints, don't you know.
Superb Tony! My visit to Edinburgh was so much more enjoyable because of you and your channel. I even looked out for Andy "the piper", but sadly, no luck this time. Amazing city to visit even without the 6 Nations. Mind you, a cheeky spin around Murrayfield was very welcome (& not to be sneezed at out of season). I'm so looking forward to a return visit soon. Keep them coming please, because you make me look very clever in front of my friends.
Thank you for the great video. I am glad you finally met one of your subscribers. I love the architecture soo much. I understand how you feel. “What were they thinking Monotonous”?
Hi Tony, just subscribed to your channel. Love George St. I stayed at the George Hotel the first time I visited Edinburgh, so it holds a special place in my heart. I have traveled all over the world but Edinburgh is my very favorite city of them all. It is just such a walkable romantic city and one of the few places where you can walk down the Royal Mile and feel like you are going back in time. Thanks for the lovely tours.
Thank you Tony, in this video you show me the way, I" ll be there in March 2019 and we, me and my husband, will stay at a hotel on St. Andrew Square. I hope to meet you somewhere at Edinburgh.
Thank you for sharing George Street. I was actually surprised by how many of the same businesses we share in the US. (Not just Hard Rock and Starbucks, but many others I saw evidence of in some of your shots.)We are in Orlando, one of the major tourist destinations in the world. 40 million people come here annually via the airport alone. The majority of the tourism is out at the attractions, leaving those of us who live in the downtown/city with a whole different and very vibrant vibe. Very young relative to other major cities. I’m looking forward to visiting “New Town” when I visit Edinburgh in November. Thanks again for your videos!
Chris Findley we know the park side of Orlando very well. We have been 4 times. One day we will manage to get to downtown Orlando. We always get drawn to the parks.
Speaking of beautiful buildings, one of my favorites is the Scottish National Portrait Gallery on Queens St. It is one of my absolute favorites. If you are visiting Edinburgh and you like architecture, check it out.
Another great video. Crap I should have suggested you guys have a meet up when my friends and I were there in September. I literally take notes now from your videos for my next trip. Keep it up. Missing the missus tho
Your videos are wonderful! I can't wait to visit and see all the monotonous buildings with my own eyes. Perhaps, I also stay in the Caldonian for $546 a night, or more!! Keep up the grand videos!! 💙🏴🇺🇸💙
That hotel opposite The Dome is called The Principal on George Street. I was there in August. Previously known as the George Hotel...not sure if it was ever called The Caledonian...
Hi Tony, I saw the restaurant we ate at when we were in Edinburgh in June. Unfortunately we didn't get to visit the rest of George Street. Love the videos on the closes. And one more thing hope you and kiersten get all duded sometime so we can see you in that kilt you said you have. Perhaps you can tell us the history behind your tartan. Bye now God bless you both!!
Would ya do a video on pub type places with live local music in the evening? We are visiting in March and cant wait!! Your videos really help me get a feel for Edinburgh! Thanks!!
Would love to walk and chat with you! Will be in Edinburgh from Chicago Feb 9-20th my 5th visit! Bringing my brother along for his 1st trip! Here’s a video idea! How about talking about the golf courses that surround Edinburg and closely surrounding area? That would be grand! Greeting from Loren. One day I’m going to come across on the street!
Hey Broony! Like the videos. I was starving for anything Scotland not to mention one of my top favourite towns. After watching a dozen of the vlogs I still dont know your first name. Would you do a whisky vlog, because Scotch is my favourite tipple![If you haven't yet] Keep up the great work! Slainte!
The Dome was originally was the Clydesdale Bank HQ and not the RBof S. The Caledonian Hotel is at the West End Of Princes Street the one you mentioned is the George Hotel.
I realised the George hotel as soon as I put the video up, I said I got it wrong in one of my next videos. Did not realise I got the bank wrong. Thanks for correcting me.
the penhaligon's is perfume shop which they are holders of two royal warrants. These are recognition of personal service of a high order, and today there are over 850 royal warrant holders entitled to use the title and royal arms.
The building that you pointed out with the statue above the doorway (11:00 minutes on the time line), is the Grand Lodge of Scotland , Freemason's Hall. A video tour of things Freemasonry would be helpful....;-).
Your videos are always superb I always look forward to the next one. I’m travel to Edinburgh in November and I’m looking for recommendations for a great Scottish pub experience music and all. Suggestions would be great
check market street south Waverly station stairs to high st(royal mile) turn left few bars with entertainment follow main rd (south bridge} whisitlibnkies left captains further right carry on to infirmary st for royal oak jam sessions open very late
It is a beautiful, wide street. The buildings are gorgeous. However, almost every shop on it, is way to rich for my blood. The jewelry and watch stores are definitely worth drooling over. 😉
ADDRESS TO EDINBURGH Edina! Scotia's darling seat! Hubs, dogs, and I are all moving back to Edinburgh very soon. We'd totally be up for a pub visit. Or doggy walk. Another great video.

Never been in the Dome, Weatherspoons is a great looking building. And you are right the food is good standard pub food.
I miss Edinburgh already! I will enjoy watching your videos now that I’ve visited Scotland-they will help me reminisce-thanks tony!!

Your right, I was thinking of a different hotel when I was talking. My mistake completely.

No Starbucks for me. I always took my coffee at Tiles on St. Andrews Square. They got Illy coffee, trained by the Illy people! Thanks for the tour!

Something to eat after you get s mortgage. Also. U have met me
Add me to the list for a meet up please, ps i found this video soooo mundane (just kidding). I bought a mug from George St, it reminds me of Edinburgh every time i drink from it, and a Tshirt from Hard Rock. I also bought a Harry Potter mug, hideously expensive and terrible quality.
