Depending on the day and on the task, I'll either use the 52-17 method or the 25-5 (Pomodoro) method. Basically, work for 52 minutes straight, then a 17 minute break, and the same goes for the 25-5 method.
I really thank you for the tips you post on. It was good opportunity for me to think about my time management. In the morning, I do really well, since I wake up at 5 and do some rutines. However, I am not good at do that at night. So, I will improve that. (I am writing, from Japan.)
Caring less about what my house looks like saves some time. I just halfway do things that just get messed up the next day anyway. Perfection wastes so much time. I save that for visitors (lol).
Maybe consider a premiere announcement with a shorter window of time, if you're really tied to the idea? I get mildly irritated by premiere announcements, but I know some people enjoy getting the heads up.
This is probably the second or third video I've watched that's mentioned the tip of saying no to things for the sake of better time management or productivity, and while I'm not going to say I disagree, I do feel like there has to be a balance involved of what we say no or yes to. Saying no to peer pressure, toxic habits or negativity is definitely okay. Saying you need distance from a situation or time alone to recharge is okay. I guess in my own experiences, there have been moments in the past where I've chosen isolation instead of reaching out to someone, and that's unhealthy.
Thanks so much for bringing this up Amy! You’re totally right that it’s important to say yes to things as well. I think the important point is that either way we answer, yes or no, we want to make sure the decision is in alignment with our priorities and what we value. And I specifically mention saying no because often people have a hard time saying no and out of fear of letting someone down they’ll say yes to everything that’s asked of them... and that rarely leads to intentional decisions. But you’re totally right. We need to balance saying no and saying yes. Our decisions should reflect our values, not our fears. Thanks for sharing these great thoughts!!
Every time I click on one of your videos, I'm always struck by how beautiful and glowing your skin is! But could you please talk more slowly? I'm interested in your content for sure, but your delivery is machine-gun fire! On the other hand, I do appreciate whenever a video is under 15 minutes...could there be a happy medium? I do love your vitality.
What's your favorite time management tip? ✨
The third one 😂
I have to always make a list and I enjoy crossing out once it’s complete.
I’m definitely with you on that one 💙
The quote “Your brain is for creating ideas, not storing them” came from David Allen. Author of Getting Things Done. :)
