    Brilliant video. I am just emerging from being a sloth. I had depression for 25 years and I worked a lot on myself in the last 2 and a half years. I am at the point where I have desires and wishes, it's very new to me. I have to experiment a lot to find out who I am, what I like. I believe your channel will be a great help in building my life.

      I know exactly how you feel because I am exiting depression too. I hope to completely get rid of it. On most days I am fine. That is a huge thing because I was diagnosed at the age of 16 and am now 32. I can finally see what it feels to be alive. I am grateful for the every moment of this.
      I hope the life returns to you and to continue going with you where you want to be going and not so fast ahead of you that you struggle to catch it up, all while going the wrong direction.
      I do have my dreams and aspirations, but after a long time I am finally able to do something about them. I accomplished so much in the last year and a half. I went from accomplishing nothing I was not forced into (except finishing college) to suddenly being one of those people who are getting a lot done.
      To me, my biggest change is the one very few people know about: I started writing a lot more. Before this, everything I managed to write down was also dark and gloomy. Now it is colorful. I hope the book I am writing now will be good enough for publishing. I also hope you will be able to discover your Muse. Enjoy living!

    Over the last 5 years I’ve saved three internet videos to my phone. A Jocko speech for long morning runs, Dreams by Fleetwood Mac while in cold water, and now your video. Thank you for this content. I’ll be reviewing this until I gain dominion over time management.

    Sobering to realise I’m probably a 1.5 on the scale but this was also really inspiring and clarifying to have it all laid out this way. I feel I innately knew some of what I needed to do to ‘move up the scale, as it were, but you’ve really helped to make it explicit.

    You are incredible and impressive. Your talent for bringing together the bare time management tools to create a fulfilling life is outstanding. I love the way you translate highly complex things like a meaningful life into an actionable, calm, easy to understand and encouraging video. Inspiring! And thanks again for the reminder to create a stable life. That links the idea of having routines to the why!

    Was sick since Thursday last week, kinda stage 1. today felt little bit better for the first time and anxiety stroke right away. I looked at all the tasks I haven’t done and started panicking. But then I sat down, wrote all down, deleted a few which aren’t as important and structured the rest. Now I feel a lot better

    Thank you for this video. Really loved how you explained the various stages and why this is important - to make your life richer and make sure you focus on the things you want out of life - as opposed to toxic productivity.

    • @lampyrisnoctiluca9904
      @lampyrisnoctiluca9904 9 місяців тому

      To me, the most important part of the productivity is prioritisation. If you have good priorities, your life will slowly turn better and better until it is amazing. If you prioritise badly, you will be stressed out a lot, while having accomplished nothing or very little of what you value.

It's really helpful to know where I'm at and what the next steps are to improve. It would be really awesome if you made a video on how to add habits and routines into the the life funnel system when you're at Tier 1 or Tier 2. Thanks!

  • @zaidaliahmed7869
    @zaidaliahmed7869 7 місяців тому

    Great video. I find myself oscillating between 2 and 3 after a long time of being in 1, there's still some remnants of 1 but there's definitely improvement. I'm slowly increasing the average percentage of my habits. But I keep getting overwhelmed by how many things I want to do how many books I want to read.
    I also find that one of my worst i guess "tendency" is that if I want to do something then I want to do it for hours and hours, and I think that's where I struggle the most. If I want to read a book, I want to keep reading for hours, if I want to game I want to game for hours, maybe this is why you end up becoming more apathetic because the limited time just doesn't feel like it's enough.

    Alexis- Thank you for a really great video. So many good tips condensed in short video. I’m stuck at level for stuck for several years without any hole in my overloaded busy life (at work, as a father, as a husband) so I can’t find more time to insert the 2nd quadrant (important no urgent) which is my passion hobby (composing music)
    Do you have more advice on how to move to level 5 on already fully busy life?

    I think that the important thing is not to get yourself lost in the productivity trap where you are working too hard, while accomplishing a lot, but without having a direction. Things that are important to you end up not being done because you have so much other things on your plate. Prioritisation is the most important, but often overlooked part of the productivity.

    I can see how time management is objectively useful. However, do not feel interested in time mangement and even the word creates resistance in me (since I like freedom). So What would be a way to make yourself interested in such a thing?

    • @jazmynyoungblood
      @jazmynyoungblood 9 місяців тому

      I started viewing this as a quest log and life as like an RPG like WoW. Started making everything fit into that since I like games like that and it helped to get past the resistance if that helps!

    • @PowerRedBullTypology
      @PowerRedBullTypology 9 місяців тому

      @@jazmynyoungblood That's an interesting way to look at it! I can for sure imagine that helps if you like RPGs. However, in my case I doubt that would would help because I do not like RPGs because I do not like the idea of such pre established objectives. If I like games (generally they bore me) it's because I like the activity of doing them. For example, I like sometimes to play team fortress 2 (some team FPS). It's about the team winning or losing. However, I even do not care if i win or lose there, as it's the activity itself I like rather than the result. I'm very intrinsically motivated about everything. I'm endlessly patient and interested of there is genuine interest, but if there is no genuine interest it seems very hard to get me into something.

    • @inuhundchien6041
      @inuhundchien6041 9 місяців тому +1

      You don't have to be 'interested' in time management, just be interested in what you want to do so you will just do it. Most of the time people don't do the things they they think they 'should' do is because it's not something they want to do, it's something they think they should do, from being influenced by others. Like, if you really don't want to just don't do it. You don't need to learn a second language, you don't need to keep your house sparkling, you don't need to hustle, you don't need to become a go getter jet setter. Just do the basic so you can live.
