I heard it has a Widevine Level 1, so all the official streaming services should be providing FHD a.k.a 1080p resolution, but Amazon Prime Video provides this tablet only with 720p resolution. Is this true?
I've never seen a OLED tablet with 120 Hertz and really good performance for that price. This is by far the best value out there. By a country mile. The only thing that has helped me back from wanting it myself permanently. It's just a fingerprint sensor not being there in the US. That's the only real downside I've seen. Otherwise, it gives you nearly flagship performance with 120 Hertz and OLED for barely over 200 bucks. You don't even get OLED in the tab S8
Have one. 6 GB of RAM of course....Love it. Got the pen. It seemed like it took a little while for the software to fully settle in. Just mentioning it in case it doesn't feel weird as fluid for people out of the box. Great value.
@@FrankoWanko I got the 4GB model and the only downside I'm noticing is occasionally the OS will lag a bit, and I'll have some frame drops when emulating PS1 games (which can probably be configured better to not happen). For me, I'm thinking OS lag is only noticeable since the refresh rate of the screen is so high
Just bought one of these, and its terrific. How can Samsung justify the price of its Galaxy Tab S8+ tablets? I own both and the Lenovo is really not that much different from the Samsung. Both have beautiful OLED displays and are great for watching movies.
I upgraded from a Samsung Tab 8 (3/32GB) with S pen to the Lenovo (6/128GB). With keyboard, case and pen it cost $350. Good value. The screen is great, the keyboard feels great too but the case that comes with it is really heavy. There are some serious issues with the software. The tab itself is light but feels slippery as does the pen so I got a regular case for it.
Decided to buy this after checking out your review. It is on sale right now in Canada. Upgrading from iPad 6. Decided to give Android tablet another chance again because Apple’s memory limitations is ridiculous (64GB is way too small) Will be using this to watch videos and read mangas
@@achmadmarendes I prefer it over the iPad for videos. For reading manga/comics, iPad’s aspect ratio is better. It is a good tablet, a better deal than iPad right now
Part of the performance issues are that it’s going to try to display it natively at 2.5k. Being able to downres to 1080p on an Oled and 120hz that’s forgiveable
Posting comments is a real pain in the arse. I've had to use my Tab 8 to post these comments. 1. Every time I want to write a comment it asks me which input device I want to use 2. The post arrow on the right often disappears and sometimes the whole comment goes into the ether. 3. I miss the bar on the bottom which allowed me to open another app, step back or view all apps open at the time. This has to achieved by swiping left or up many times to get back to the home page. 4. I was looking forward to the split screen function but to use it you have to open the apps you want to use then get back to the home page then swipe upwards with some pressure to see all the apps currently running. From there it's simple enough. Android 12 is not reckoned to be optimised for a large screen and this is supposed to be improved with the release of version 12L but I'm not holding my breath.
Yep, there are downsides. That's for sure. A lot of people hate pwm, and want to avoid burn in. I haven't seen burn in, in quite a while, but I get wanted to avoid OLED.
Fantastic work as usual Zach! This is a great alternative to Samsung tablets. Yes it is a step behind, but the value far outweighs that. The fingerprint sensor is nowhere near as important on a tablet as it is for a phone, since a tablet rarely leaves the house.
Hello, I loved the review. I'm going to buy the p11 gen2 shortly. In my country, it's over 430, but I found an offer that leaves it at 360. I was looking for a tablet to work. I'm a student who doesn't get along very well with conventional laptops. and I wanted to know your opinion about how this tablet adapts in general to perform tasks, jobs that involve a little more performance and such
I mean it depends on what you're doing. Compared to other Android tablets this is the step below the highest end flagship tablets. But it's honestly faster than most of the mid-range tablets out there. So it does have pretty good performance. You might want to get the 6 GB of RAM model just in case. But it's s good tablet. Hard to say if it's powerful enough without knowing exactly what you do. Even then I don't specialize in everything so still may be unsure
Too bad you cant ever get the precision pen 3 this requires. I hate that I bought this and the pen has been unavailable from lenovo for last three months. Ridiculous. Should have designed it to work with more pens. Bad customer service in that regard.
Question. I need a tablet for watching NFL, UA-cam, some games. But not a heavy gamer at all. I don't need an s pen. I just want something snappy that will stream without lag. I'm not a heavy user but I would use it for social media daily. Would you say this is a good choice over the s6 lite? It's on sale for 219 right now. I am just scared of trying a new brand because I've had good luck with Samsung. Oh, and I need a big screen as I'm a big guy and hate the small screens...
I mean this is a 11 inch screen. That's the big thing. The S6 lite is a little over 10 in. But tablets like the tab S8 Plus or the tab S7FE, they are over 12 in. So this isn't the biggest tablet or the smallest. But this tablet would absolutely be perfect for what you need. It would be great for streaming and it would be very snappy without lag
From what I'm reading they can't even be bothered to upgrade this to Android 13. I'd pay the extra and get a Samsung Tablet that gets monthly security patches and os updates..
No. Built-in kickstand. There's a regular Lenovo book cover case. A a case that you put the tablet in and flip the book cover over the top. The part that flips over the screen can magnetize to the back of the case to hold it up
I don't have it in front of me to test it. I don't really see much of a point when mobile hotspot is usable anyway. But I'm pretty sure USB tethering works if you're sharing internet connection from your tablet to another device. But not the other way around. So I don't think it will work. But that's just a guess
I have a question, can I Connect this tablet to a proyector using HDMI cable, i want this tablet to make presentation in PowerPoint, because the computer is to bigger and the tablet is more portable thankyou
Yes you can. But you will need some type of usb c hub of some kind, one with an hdmi port. Or some type of usb c to HDMI adapter. Either one of those should work
@@yalvar In the meantime I did some research. It seems some P11 come with jacks and others do not. Maybe it's P11 vs P11 Plus vs P11 Pro, I didn't dig deep enough, and possibly versions of each (if that's a thing with P11, it is with M10).
How would this compare with the Duet 5, which you really liked in your 6 month review, if I'm not going to use it for gaming but occasionally might edit some 1080 video? The Tab is a little bit more, price wise, when you throw in a keyboard (and it's hard to get the keyboard from Lenovo right now). Will the bigger-screened Duet 5 be similar or are the speakers that much better for watching Netflix on the Tab? Thoughts? Thanks.
Tricky. Honestly I think this Tab may handle video editing a little better then the Duet. Mainly because Chrome OS is still a little finnicky with some Android apps.. And the Duet may feel equally as fast if not faster but in reality it's actually slightly less powerful. In the end, it's a tough call. The Duet is more versatile. It runs Android apps and a full desktop version of Chrome. If an Android app isn't optimized great (sometimes Android apps aren't as good on a Chromebook) you have the flexibility to create a web shortcut and it will put that shortcut in your app drawer. So you can create web apps or use Android apps. It also works a little bit better for keyboard work and the laptop environment is very useful for productivity. And it gets 8 years of OS updates from the day the tablet released, give or take. On the other hand, the tablet will do a little bit better with Android apps and in a lot of ways it will be simpler. You can just add your favorite apps to the home screen and open things up immediately without having to deal with an app drawer. It will also be a little bit speedier for some lighter stuff and I think something like video editing will work slightly better. In some ways it's slightly less flexible, but it's also simpler, a little easier to use since you only have one option, And it works pretty well.. On a side note, I am planning to sell my personal p11 pro gen 2. I often sell items on Twitter (twitter.com/digestandroid ) and I plan to sell to someone in the US for like $250. It's in mint condition. I just move on from devices after my review. If you're interested you can dm me on Twitter
i just bought this tablet (8gb) in a bundle with the pen and keyboard for my 12 year old son. as he wanted a tablet for while to watch movies and stuff. his happy with it. i cant decide if i should get this one for my self or if i should go with the S8 ultra.
Late response. I've been moving. But yeah it's tough. I'm not too sure. It depends on what you want. Do you want the best or just a cheaper tablet with a good value? Both are completely different. The Ultra will cost hundreds more. Get better updates. It's a little faster with a larger screen. Better resolution. But you pay hundreds more for all that
@@AndroidDigest it will get better updates is a very valid point. Lenovo moved Android 13 from Q1 to Q3 (at this time Android 14 might be available for other devices already). Security Updates for April and May are also still missing on the Lenovo. Seems Lenovo had to little margin on the hardware so they are trying to cut costs on software support.
You can find out here. support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht501098-android-upgrade-matrix . I would just search "p11 pro" and look for the second generation model. Dates will be there and estimated upgrades
Maybe when I went over the design. They are good. Not great. Not the worst for sure. Great around that price. But not on par with the more expensive tablets. So good. Not great
That I don't know, I'm sure you can root it though, but rooting seems pointless to me lately, seems like there's just not enough of a reason to root nowadays, but to each their own.
In my time with it I got one small update, over a few months, but it didn't fix anything. Just a security patch. Pretty typical of Lenovo. They don't do a lot of software updates
@@AndroidDigest thank you for replying. I was going to buy today after reading your comment but seems no luck. The price went up. I will see some alternative. Thank you!
I tested the 4 GB model. Most people aren't going to see any huge issues with it. Apps aren't going to close down unless you have a ton of apps open anyway. But I guess really big power users might want a little extra ram
Hello mate, thanks for the review. Could you please let me know what is the refresh rate of the video output? lets say you've got a super high end monitor and you're connecting the p11 pro gen 2 to it, whats the maximum the tablet can offer via that secondary screen?
It may improve with software. All I know is I had a better face unlock experience on the Tab M9 with a far worse processor. It struggles to read people with beards maybe? Not too sure.
Great review! I’m a college student thinking of buying a tablet and looks like this is a great option, thinking of the 6 GB. II was also looking into the yoga tab 11 as well. Which one do you recommend? Also do you recommend buying protection? That’s something that I would also love for you to share in your videos. Insurance for devises. Is it necessary to purchase .
In His yoga 11 review he seemed to indicate that he likes the pro11 better , but for a lot of people that kickstand is the tiebreaker , I Am in the same boat , I need a good tablet to read the pdf college books I downloaded, but i want to maybe game a little and watch netflix and stuff too
Thanks for watching both videos. I do agree that I do prefer the p11 pro Gen 2 better. Mainly because it does have an OLED display and I think the performance is slightly better. It's also more recent on software even if it's not by much.
Feel free to read the other comments below. I gave info there. As far as insurance, that is really up to the person. Each device comes with a one-year warranty, so if anything happens within that year you are covered by sending the device into lenovo. It does involve a waiting period, but they should take care of you, even if they send you a refurbished model back. I personally think most insurances aren't worth it. If you get a tempered glass screen protector and a case, you will avoid most physical damage. At that point you are just paying for insurance for minor defects, and those things rarely happen especially within the first few years anyway. Even if something did, sometimes you can pay a small amount to get it fixed. And sometimes it's almost cheaper to do it that way versus paying insurance. If you ever buy a device on eBay though, if you buy from a seller with at least 99% which is what I recommend, they do have a square trade warranty and that can actually be worth it. Sometimes it's only like $20 to add it on and they may cover your device for two or three years. And square trade (it's through allstate) is really good. They normally get everything taken care of within a week, sometimes they give you a refund of some kind.. Overall it's a good program. That's a good insurance. But nine times out of 10, people sell you insurance because obviously they are making more money in the long run. I say just get a good case and a screen protector. it won't always work out in your favor but I think most of the time it will
My question would be: Is it that much better than the P11 plus? I'm not to into the OLED display. Regular displays seem fine to me. Is the performance that much better than the p11 plus? Is it worth, what right now is a $120 difference? Thanks.
Yes. It's worth the $120 difference. I'm with you though. I've been there with OLED. I used to prefer the Tab S7 (no OLED) because it was such a small difference to me compared to the OLED Tab S7 Plus. But the things that set the P11 Pro Gen 2 apart: Better software support. It releases on newer software and is supposed to get more software support. 120hz. So the screen refreshes faster making everything feel smoother. A faster processor, so everything feels smoother, AND a better looking display. Add it all and to me it's well worth the $100. Some people would pay $100 just for OLED. Or just for 120hz. Add it all together and I think it's worth it. Now I say this as a value seeker. I'm very happy to recommend cheaper devices. For many people I'll recommend the Tab S8 over the Tab S8 Plus. But in this case there's a lot of value for that $120. If you can swing it I'd recommend it. Don't forget to check the used market too. You never know. I'm getting rid of mine shortly, as I need to cycle through other devices to review, so you may find a good deal there also. Maybe. Depending.
That Oled display was the draw for me. Would be nice to have a finger print sensor for travel though... Harder to obscure your pin as you enter it on a largish screen.
You can use the time stamps and go to performance if you don't feel like watching the whole thing. I always try to show off real usage and explain what I'm seeing in performance
Looks like it's getting Android 13 this quarter. But no Android 12l from what it's looking like. They beta tested it, but never brought it to the tablet
Great review! I purchased the tablet in the Pro version (packet with the pen 3) but I have a problem with language switching while writing. So far, I can't use any non Lenovo keyboard to successfully change languages while eg writing an email on Gmail. I have to go to the system menu to do this. I hope the dedicated Lenovo keyboard will work as expected in this regard. Also, does the keyboard work from a short distance, not attached to the tablet? Thanks.
@@AndroidDigest The only thing that i don't like about the P11 Plus's screen is that the blacks have a grey tint to them. Does this also happen on the P11 Pro Gen 2? thanks so much for the reply!
• microSD card, supports FAT32 up to 512GB, exFAT up to 1TB Sometimes higher storage models may work. Even if they technically don't say they're supported
I have been thinking about buying this(the one that comes with keyboard and pen) or the galaxy s6 lite. Just to study and take notes at Uni, maybe play some games. Which of them do you recommend??, im really confused 😩
Basically this tablet will be better. In most things. It will be faster, it will have a better screen, and a better refresh rate. But the Samsung has a little bit of extra longevity, mainly because it has more software updates. In Lenovo is known to not update their devices very much. So it's a really tough call, depends on what you value. I'd probably lean towards the Lenovo because it's better all around. But everyone is different. And some people may just prefer the software updates, and some people like Samsung dex an extra thing for multitasking. But it depends on who you are. Like I said. I'd probably lean towards the Lenovo but just barely
I'd probably get the Xiaomi if they are close in price. It does have better specs. But it's harder to find in the US so it also depends on where you live
Do you recommend this tablet for just playing codm??? I thinking about get this tablet for just playing codm and watching UA-cam that it. Is this tablet going to be able to get warzone mobile???
From the specs I'm looking at, yes. It should be faster, it looks like the base model of the redmi has 3GB of RAM. The processor is better on the Lenovo. Overall, it's just a better device, just keep in mind that this tablet will have slightly different specs overseas. But even with those different specs I still think it's better
I'm basing my opinion not on experience, because I haven't tried the tablet for myself. But I am looking at the specs at this website m.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_pad-ampp-11911.php Hopefully that helps
Hi, my English is not good, because my native language is Russian, but I know answer for your question. This tablet has two version. The first one is global (you've seen it in this video) and it has mediatec 1300t. This version doesn't have fingerprint. But another version for chinese market has it. Chinese version also has snapdragon 870 (and 90hz vs 120 on the model you've seen in this video). On the one hand you'll get better screen with 120 hz, but on the other hand you won't get better perfomance. In Russia we buy this tablet in AliExpress, you can check it out there if you want version with fingerprint.
Just drunk purchased the 4gb for 218 or whatever from Walmart. Litteraly got a 6gb redmi pad today. I'm worried if the 4gb ram is gonna bite me. I can't remember the last phone I had that was that low 😬

Im loving the lenovo brand. For years i been with samsung, apple, and fire had. But last year got a lenovo and loves it of all the tablets i gotten. Even got one for bro cause he liked using mine when his old apple one was slowly dying. My only gripe i wish i could find a keyboard cause similar to finite and typecase keyboard case as not fan of the folio style keyboards. I have lenovo laptop that i like using but when im gaming on my switch or on my bed i dont like dragging it to bed and prefer my tablet.
Yeah Lenovo does a great job. My only issue is they don't give a ton of software updates over the years. But they make really really good tablets, and they are at a great price
@@AndroidDigest I dont mind as all i do on it is surf the internet, watch videos & streams, & pretty much it. If i dont feel like being on my laptop at my desk i just grab tablet few hours before i sleep or game n console with it next to me.

My use case is, web surfing in bed, or on the coach, light productivity on the coffee tablet of cafe, taking it in the garage for UA-cam how to videos, Google docs, work, emails, or slack, work that is not tied to my desk at short bursts then going back to websurfing.. I cast content often, looking for phone functionality but bigger and easier to type... Tablet mode in bed and on the coach laptop mode on the coffee table or in bed for short projects, sub $500 budget..
When comparing this to the tab s6 light I would say yes it's a clear winner because OLED screen 120 Hertz plus I don't know the the spec sheet but the companion 1300 I think that's what it has If that's similar to the 865 then I don't know again I'm pretty sure it's better than the Snapdragon 720g It has similar specs so 4 GB of RAM that's the only thing that's really a turn off but at that price at $299 you can't go wrong so yes I would agree I never actually saw this deal so that's pretty cool so this is pretty much tab S7 but with OLED and then if you get it with the the pen and the keyboard I think it's still cheaper than the tab S7 was when it released so not a bad deal
I don't really know if you use Aliexpress in the Unites States, but usually it is cheaper than tablets from local stores (At least in Russia it works, because our local stores sell it with more expensive price)
😂😂 it took a second to load the app. Because the app isn't optimized for landscape mode it jittered for a second. Gotta watch the whole video and not based assessments off one piece of video
Great buy if you get it on sale. Productivity mode is good, but most won't use it. Face unlock worked fine for me. This reviewer has a lot of knocks on this tablet, but it's great.
Rubbish? This is close to SD865...and it's stable (far more than 888 or 8 Gen 1!). This runs Wild Life stress test with a score of 4277pts and a stability of 98.2%...it's nearly the same as Galaxy Tab S7 with its SD865+ (4234pts 99%), no Amoled and still more expensive! SD888 on Galaxy S21 runs with a score of 5316 and horrible 67% stability...in less than 10 minutes, score falls under 4000! Yes, After few minutes, Kompanio runs better! 888 was rubbish : promised performances but not able to sustain! This Kompanio runs games like Genshin Impact with highest settings. And if you want something futureproof for streaming, you even already have hardware AV1 decoder that Qualcomm introduced only last month on 8 Gen 2... In my opinion, P11 Pro Gen 2 is one of the best Tab released in 2022...
I get what you're saying but the performance is extremely good on this tablet. Again it's neck and neck with a Snapdragon 865. It's probably the fastest tablet you can find for $300 on the Android side
I definitely think it would work if I shave my beard. I know a lot of things like NBA 2K. For example, they have a face scan technology for the video game. Well when I use it, it doesn't work well at all because of my beard. I really think there's something behind that. But shaving it to test. It would be a very big thing for me to do 🤣
I have this one with 8 g + 256 g. Replacement for galaxy tab S5e Disappointment...much thicker than S5e. Display feels worse. Sound quality not even close to S5e. UI feels ancient compared to samsungs UI. Problems with video: For some reason screen flicks every now and then when watching netflix and other streaming services. Could bee wifi related but any of our other 4 tablets do not have this issue. Just ordered new samsung galaxy s7 +
I get the comparison in a way, and I fully get why you wouldn't like it. To be honest in your shoes I'd say the same. But this is also like $250. For an OLED screen. The S5e actually had pretty severe wifi issues, I documented on my channel when it was older. But holding the tablet in the corner caused wifi to drop 20% to 50%. And I had that issue with like 4-5 units. Not a single unit didn't have the issue, even best buy display units. So thin tablets have a cost. In the end though, Samsung has the best OLED around. Super amoled screens are great. Samsung software is also more polished. The P11 Pro Gen 2 is a great value. But it's just that, a value tablet still with some compromise. The Tab S7+ will have the nicer oled, with 120hz, better software and speed. Just keep in mind it's about to stop getting full OS updates. But other than that it's terrific. You will love it, a great choice

It's really really hard for me to say. If you go the windows route, and get the Lenovo duet 5i, which I saw on sale by the way for a really cheap especially if you get it open box. You can get it under $500. It will definitely have the best speed you're going to get for that price. It will be better at productivity and it will even be able to run some windows games. In short it's definitely a better laptop. If you go to tablet mode, just keep in mind that Android apps aren't really much of a thing on Windows. Sure you have a few apps from the Windows store via the Amazon app store, but not much. So to make it easier for yourself you might create a bunch of shortcuts from Google Chrome and put them on your desktop. You could do that for pretty much every streaming service and it will work great. Despite all of that though I would say that a really good Android tablet like the Galaxy tab S8, it will probably be a little bit better at tablet stuff. You will get a 120hz screen. It's a little quicker and easier to get basic entertainment stuff going. So if you want the best tablet overall I would say the Tab S8 or this P11 Pro Gen 2 are your best bets. The best laptop with good tablet functionality will be the Duet 5i. As of right now there's not enough power in the Chrome OS tablets that are out. They could still be a little bit laggy and they still have some issues with Android app optimization. I typically just use web shortcuts for most things to avoid that issue. But even then there's weird things like the keyboard for the touch screen blinking when pressing the spacebar sometimes. The point I'm trying to make is, I would either go with the duet 5i, the tab s8 (or s8 plus) which will run between $450 and $600ish used on eBay/Swappa. Or the Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2. The negatives of the P11 Pro are mainly software related. It feels slightly less smooth than a Galaxy the productivity mode isn't quite as good as Samsung Dex. And I think they are giving like two software updates to it but you aren't going to get super long software support like a Tab S8. But you will get the OLED screen and you will get 120 hertz. And you will still get really good performance and you will save some good money. So yeah. It's really hard for me to tell you what to do. I think you would be really satisfied with most of these options. But all of them have small shortcomings.
The 4GB model is on sale as of today! $229 on Lenovo's website. Link in the description!
I heard it has a Widevine Level 1, so all the official streaming services should be providing FHD a.k.a 1080p resolution, but Amazon Prime Video provides this tablet only with 720p resolution. Is this true?

This is definitely a really good bargain, Lenovo makes really good tablets for the money!
Serious issues like what?
The stylus is great, the battery is pretty good and the Mediatek Kompanio chip is also so interesting. Good device overall.
For sure! Really enjoy this device
Decided to buy this after checking out your review. It is on sale right now in Canada. Upgrading from iPad 6. Decided to give Android tablet another chance again because Apple’s memory limitations is ridiculous (64GB is way too small)
Will be using this to watch videos and read mangas
It's a pretty good tablet! Hope you enjoy it
How is it, compare to ipad?
@@achmadmarendes I prefer it over the iPad for videos. For reading manga/comics, iPad’s aspect ratio is better.
It is a good tablet, a better deal than iPad right now

Part of the performance issues are that it’s going to try to display it natively at 2.5k. Being able to downres to 1080p on an Oled and 120hz that’s forgiveable

Posting comments is a real pain in the arse. I've had to use my Tab 8 to post these comments.
1. Every time I want to write a comment it asks me which input device I want to use
I hear you! Sorry you're having these issues.
Does this have an aluminum back or is it the back plastic?
But what about downsides of OLED screens: burn-in, using PWM, and "mura effect"?
Yep, there are downsides. That's for sure. A lot of people hate pwm, and want to avoid burn in. I haven't seen burn in, in quite a while, but I get wanted to avoid OLED.
Fantastic work as usual Zach! This is a great alternative to Samsung tablets. Yes it is a step behind, but the value far outweighs that. The fingerprint sensor is nowhere near as important on a tablet as it is for a phone, since a tablet rarely leaves the house.
Exactly. It's a great tablet. I've loved it for sure
Good review as always.
Thank you!
Even then I don't specialize in everything so still may be unsure
how much did you buy yours? was it 299 CAD? I'm in CA as well, hope you response. TIA.
How does the P11 pro gen2 compare to the Xiaomi Pad6? If you were buying one, which one would it be?
Xiaomi Pad 6 has the edge in most categories. But it's still pretty close
Great video, thanks so much! Please what is the brightness like if you are outside?
Brightness levels are okay, but not GREAT, there are brighter tablets out there for sure. But it's decent for the money.
Too bad you cant ever get the precision pen 3 this requires. I hate that I bought this and the pen has been unavailable from lenovo for last three months. Ridiculous. Should have designed it to work with more pens. Bad customer service in that regard.
Yeah I'm with you. The pen should be easily available. Sad that it isn't
@@AndroidDigest so between this and the s6 lite for my needs which would you buy?
From what I'm reading they can't even be bothered to upgrade this to Android 13. I'd pay the extra and get a Samsung Tablet that gets monthly security patches and os updates..
Yeah their upgrades are not good
@0:55 what is the stand that you are using to support the tablet? Looks like a built-in kickstand similar to Surface? Thanks
No. Built-in kickstand. There's a regular Lenovo book cover case. A a case that you put the tablet in and flip the book cover over the top. The part that flips over the screen can magnetize to the back of the case to hold it up
Where to buy official keyboard? It is sell seperatly and I cannot fin it anywhere
Could you do USB tethering from an android phone?
I don't have it in front of me to test it. I don't really see much of a point when mobile hotspot is usable anyway. But I'm pretty sure USB tethering works if you're sharing internet connection from your tablet to another device. But not the other way around. So I don't think it will work. But that's just a guess
can you also do a review on the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 11.5" 2023 (non-pro) and perhaps do a comparison with the previous P11 tablet Gen 1? 🙏🏼
Yes. I'm planning to review that soon actually
Either one of those should work
Great review, thank you! Can the USB c output the display to a monitor?
Good question. I believe it can but let me check that for you first. Hopefully i remember 🤣
@@AndroidDigest Did you ever find out or figure out it?
Would be awesome, but no 3.5mm audio jack kills the deal for me :(
It's got a headphone jack
@@AndroidDigest Are you sure? Many reviews say it doesn't. And when you show the 4 sides of this tablet in this video, I also don't see any.
@AndroidDigest Going by the specs and many reviews it doesn't it. Where did you take that from?
@@yalvar In the meantime I did some research. It seems some P11 come with jacks and others do not. Maybe it's P11 vs P11 Plus vs P11 Pro, I didn't dig deep enough, and possibly versions of each (if that's a thing with P11, it is with M10).
@obiwankenobe3962 yes it could be that way. But this video is specifically focused on the Pro Gen 2 version, and that does not come with a 3.5mm jack.
What version of Android you up to and security patch level? Thanks.
Seems Lenovo had to little margin on the hardware so they are trying to cut costs on software support.
how many years of security updates does this get? and how many operating system updates ?
You can find out here. support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht501098-android-upgrade-matrix . I would just search "p11 pro" and look for the second generation model. Dates will be there and estimated upgrades
Did you mention anything about the speakers!?
Maybe when I went over the design. They are good. Not great. Not the worst for sure. Great around that price. But not on par with the more expensive tablets. So good. Not great

Hello mate, thanks for the review. Could you please let me know what is the refresh rate of the video output? lets say you've got a super high end monitor and you're connecting the p11 pro gen 2 to it, whats the maximum the tablet can offer via that secondary screen?

Slight bummer on the face unlock but paterns are pretty good especially if you are leaving it at home most of the time
It may improve with software.
I say just get a good case and a screen protector. it won't always work out in your favor but I think most of the time it will
Hello there ! how about screen quality ? does it have hazing or blurring on screen as Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021 ?
I personally don't see those issues, no
My question would be: Is it that much better than the P11 plus?
Great review. Would you recommend this over an iPad? It has a Kompanio 1300T SoC right? Wonder how good is that.
You can use the time stamps and go to performance if you don't feel like watching the whole thing. I always try to show off real usage and explain what I'm seeing in performance

Dang. That stinks. I know they have had some occasional bugs. Hopefully everything gets figured out.
Hello! Do you think it's worth the upgrade from the P11 Plus? i want to upgrade just for the screen alone.. IPS vs Oled!

The original P11 Pro had the fingerprint scanner incorporated into the on/off switch. Does this not have the same?
Hi, my English is not good, because my native language is Russian, but I know answer for your question. This tablet has two version. The first one is global (you've seen it in this video) and it has mediatec 1300t. This version doesn't have fingerprint. But another version for chinese market has it. Chinese version also has snapdragon 870 (and 90hz vs 120 on the model you've seen in this video). On the one hand you'll get better screen with 120 hz, but on the other hand you won't get better perfomance.
Processor is actually good
I have both P11 and P11 plus and I know it
Sling and Philo are simply unplayable on P11 while both work 100% on P11 plus
Kudos to Lenovo for caring about the costumer
It's a great value
@@AndroidDigest This tablet might replace the Amazon Tablet annual Christmas gift 🤣
About the face unlock... you say you tried everything, BUT! I bet if you shaved your beard it'll work (lol). Test? 🤔
I definitely think it would work if I shave my beard. I know a lot of things like NBA 2K. For example, they have a face scan technology for the video game. Well when I use it, it doesn't work well at all because of my beard. I really think there's something behind that. But shaving it to test. It would be a very big thing for me to do 🤣
Before watching, get some buddies over and play the drinking game, every time he says "NICE",!! You'll be wasted!!
Nice!
that is indeed me. haha
I have this one with 8 g + 256 g. Replacement for galaxy tab S5e
Disappointment...much thicker than S5e.
@AndroidDigest Thanks for you review, you are just the guy I wanted to reach out to about Tablet options as you have tested all the tablets I am looking at. I am looking for a tablet (obviously) I have an HP elite book as my home computer, my job is an Apple shop but we use Gsuite (tech company) I have an Android phone and most of my personal stuff is done in Google drive or using my Android phone. I am considering this tablet, the Lenovo duet 3 ( I bought it but seems glitchy moving between chrome OS and Android, logins don't sync from Chrome OS to Android all the time, Android is less refined than my s21 Fe and be laggy, and I missed out on buying the 8gb version but if the other options are the same I can stick with it. ) also considering the Lenovo Thinkpad Duet 5i Microsoft tablet.
