Thanks for showing the budget android tablets some love. Nobody ever wants to cover them but not everyone has tab s9 ultra money and these budget tablets are just fine for most people's needs
I’m grateful too. Tbh I just don’t *need* a flagship tablet. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad we have amazing tablets. But. I’m not going to spend 4x what I need to watch some movies etc.
i own one for about 3 months now and i absolutely love it. It practically replaced my laptop for things such as watching yt, writing, and doing my college assignments. I love the desktop mode, the 120hz screen and the battery life is more than enough. For that kind of price it is just a great all-round device. I especially recommend getting the version with the keyboard and case. Amazing value for a relatively low price.
I purchased one a week ago and an extra 512gb sdcard for movies and tv shows on the road, I wanted a bigger decent screen for movie streaming, and it was what I could afford for the hardware, the screen is nice. And it just got Android 13 yesterday 😌😌😌 Seems to be great value for basic needs on the road.
I've been a subscriber for a quite a while now and it's great to see you haven't change what you review and how you review it. So many UA-camr's reviews now are more like ads for one particular manufacturer and their content is now so different to what it used to be. Keep up the great work
Thanks so much man. You have no idea what it means! It's fun to play with the $1,000 gadgets. But I try to always think about how far tech has come even in the $200 range. 120hz for $200 is pretty insane for a tablet. Happy to see the envelope being pushed and it's good to keep looking at devices like these
It's interesting that you mentioned that this is slower than tab s6lite while the G99 is supposed to be a bit better than sd720. Awesome review like always
Seriously impressed with the Lenovo Tab M11! The MediaTek SOc keeps everything running smoothly, and the vibrant display is perfect for binge-watching!
I bought one In Nov. 2023 (open box, but perfect), without a pen or keyboard, for $140. It may be slower that the P12 versions, but it has a 3.5 mm slot which those don't. In addition, vs the A8, the P11 Gen 2 has much, much better audio.
I got everything under $225 during the summer on a Best Buy promo deal. Works great, does everything I need it to do. Only gripe I could have is I wish Android supported tablets longer than a couple years and maybe came in a ChromeOS format as well.
Yeah, this Lenovo tablet is pretty awesome. I need it for reading scripts when I do voiceovers and I also use it for reading comic books. This tablet is PERFECT. I am not playing games on it. I tried the new Samsung 9+ and the screen gave me a headache. It has a horrible angle issue and looks unevenly washed out. This Lenovo tablet has an IPS LCD that looks SOOOO much better and doesn't give me a headache. HIGHLY recommended.
I might look around for a used tab S7 or at s7 plus on the resale market -- if I shopping a tablet from 2 to 300. But I would have no problem relying on a Lenovo tablet if I had to. I think they have compelling options and they're getting better with updates and communication. If you don't want Android you could get a Lenovo duet 5 which is OLED in Chromebook and will be supported for 8 years. It has an arm snapdragon ship but it's not very strong but you can find it for under $300 when it's on sale. These are all good options for under 300 bucks
Watching on my p11 gen 2 with the precision pen 2 4/64 version that I got for Prime day with a case for $250. Not having buyers remorse (yet). But darn if that Samsung s8 is looking good even though it's going on a year old. I didn't get the s6 lite on prime day, but was really leaning toward it. But it was a little above my budget.I actually put the specs on the p11 gen 2, Samsung s6 lite 2022, and the xiaomi tab 5 together and went ahead and got the p11. Yes those software updates are better on Samsung tablets. I'll probably get up to one, maybe two more from Lenovo, who knows. Great review. Thinking of getting that S8 now when it's between $450 to $499 which is the price currently on Amazon. Don't really know how long that price is going to last though.
Well they are selling at that price to get rid of the stock. It's all about what you can reasonably afford. If you can afford it the Tab S8 is great and worth getting for sure. This is for those who need to keep their budget lower. I'm happy to see how they can push the limits of lower end tablets to make them good!
@AndroidDigest That's me, for sure. Heck, s8 renewed on amazon is $478. Hell, I might as well add the extra $21 and get it new before stock runs out.. Thanks.
Thank you for the review, that helps in the buying decision. Also Tablets are just additional gadgets. If I want high refresh rate, super fast multi-tasking and so on, then I have my PC. But I can understand it, if others want a high-end tablet, maybe because it's their only device and thus it should be great.
True but using a 60Hz tablet is downright disgusting if you are used to 120Hz+ on PC and phone. So good thing 120Hz screens came to the lower end tablet spectrum.
I got this 3 months ago but there's 1 thing that stood out, its an entertainment machine, not a productivity one. Very laggy otherwise. Just get the 6gig version and it'll be the best
I got this tablet as a Christmas present, and i couldn't be more happier! By this price i think this is a great tablet for studying and watching videos :))
I would love to see some of their tablets support "Ready For" which is arguably better Dex, given its native 4K support, extra gaming modes, brand new cooling / first party dock... It's available on much of their phones via USBC to hdmi. and on their razr (, but with only the wireless miracast version). I would assume it would be something that would want to make use on at least the pro version of their tablets but I don't know for sure
Is "Ready For" better than Dex? I might find that hard to believe. Lenovo and Motorola seems to be the same company now. A month or two ago I buy my first Moto smartphone, the stylus 2023 5G. Based on my experience, the software isn't that great even with decent hardware spec. I even compared it to a older but similar spec Redmi 10c and I had a better experience with Redmi. I suffered lag with Moto as well as freezes. I was unable to dual task as it would aggressive close programs if I tried to run two things at a time.
Yes and no, mostly no. Most apps may require Android 7.0 and up or 8.0 and up, but you can run a device for years and years and still be behind on updates. Plus google does increase security in some ways through some play store updates.
@@AndroidDigest Thanks for your feedback. My old tablet had 3Gb RAM and found out by chance it did not show Geekbench 6. Wasn't shure it was Android 12 or the hardware. In my case it was the hardware.
Thanks for the great review. A quick question - I want to use the micro SD card slot to edit GoPro videos on the GoPro quick app. Will this be sufficient? And is there a way to connect an external SSD also?
That's a very difficult question to answer. I haven't used the GoPro app so it would be tough to say. And every video editing program is very different. For example, luma fusion is a fairly new app, with a lot of features, but it also requires a little more power. I tried to edit 4K video on that app, with an external SSD, on a Galaxy Tab S9FE Plus. That device is a little more powerful than this tablet. I had mixed results. Remember, it's hard to edit 4K footage even on powerful devices. It probably would have did fine on 1080p. But your device is a little bit less powerful, using a different app, and using an SD card. Assuming you're using a fairly recent card, I'm guessing it would do fine with like 1080p footage. If you doing a quick edit with 4K maybe you could get away with it. You can connect an external SSD but a lot of programs won't recognize it or won't be able to edit from it. LumaFusion is one of the few that will. And you can use some type of USBC hub to connect an SSD. So the real answer is, I'm not sure. It depends on the app and the capabilities of the app, the speed of the SD card, and how good your footage is. As far as quality, also, how long your edits are going to be. If it's just a one or two minute video, you could get away with a lot of things. If you're doing a ton of video editing, I would recommend getting something more powerful though. Hopefully this helps in some way. Maybe someone will come along one day who uses it like that and comments. Otherwise, you may just have to buy device and test it out for yourself. Luckily, a place like Best Buy and some other places even like lenovo's website, they offer refunds without a restocking fee for tablets
That's complicated. Looking at any screen for hours may not be ideal. This is plenty good enough for reading but your eyes could get sore looking at a screen. There are settings to make it easier on the eyes though
I'd say they're both pretty much in the same class. I would actually lean towards the p11 gen 2 because of the 120 HZ refresh rate. I also like the accessories for it better
I made a video a while ago comparing the 1st Gen P11 with the S6 Lite (2020) and one of the main drawbacks of the Lenovo was the limit to only 1080p videos in UA-cam and media consumption in general. Is this improved to 4K or 2K at least? Another drawback was the side bar (Smart Navigation), this was not customizable and was almost useless. Same question, is this improved? Thanks and congrats for a very good video
I don't have the tablet on me to test that. But I do remember it being at least 2k. From my experience. I just can't verify 100%. But I will tell you it doesn't really matter honestly. If your screen is limited in your resolution anyway, your screen is basically a 1080p display, streaming. 4K video is still only going to show up 1080p on a 1080p display. It might be slightly upscaled in a way. But a 1080p tv can only show 1080p. Same for a tablet. So not really too drawn back even if it can't show slightly upscaled video. But I think it can. Just can't remember if it's 2k or 4k
The software experience is fine, it's just that lenovo animations look a little jumpy to me sometimes. Your tween will enjoy it especially if they are fairly new to tech anyway. But I haven't been able to test it recently, but maybe others can weigh in, or maybe you can now that you probably have it
If it's just a little more yes. Like $50 more or less. Yes. $100 more. It's a toss up. I would compare the price to the 4GB M10 though and not the 3GB of RAM model
@AndroidDigest so, the m10 gen 3 4gb ram 64gb storage cost 225.99 this one is 327.70 4gb 128gb storage both after tax and price is on cad. If I do buy the m10 I'm gonna have to upgrade the storage since 64 is iffy, compared to 128 storage of the p11
I need to! So many videos to make though, to be honest I don't think I'll get to it. But stay tuned, just covered the A9_+ and I'll be covering more tablets too
Cap cut on Android is really best for things like tiktok. If you're just editing 1080p footage I would say it should be enough. But there's only one video track, luma fusion has a little more features
I literally just need a tablet to replace my macbook which I used to streaming podcasts and video while gaming, I despise apple now and was looking to replace all my apple gear and this seems like a beauty of a replacement tab. looks better than the pixel tab too and the screen is better for half the price. think I am sold.
Just be careful with your expectations. Especially if you have a good MacBook. Remember, this is sort of a budget tablet. The Pixel tablet is actually a lot faster. And I would argue it's a better tablet overall even if the refresh rate isn't as good. This is still a really solid tablet. But if I was wanting to get a lot of work done, and replace something like a nice MacBook, I would probably get something like the S9FE Plus from Samsung, or You could go with last year's S8 Plus, or, one final option obviously if you have a lot more money, is the S9 Plus. All of those devices are big enough to be really good for productivity. They have decent keyboard options on the market. And they are all faster than this tablet. This is a great budget tablet. But if I was replacing my macbook I'd be a little more careful.
I would consider it neutral. That tablet was very unique because it came with an amoled display for $400. And a decent processor. It's probably the same speed as this. But it has a better screen. Obviously time has passed and your battery is probably worn. I also had big wifi issues on every s5e I used. So there's reasons to upgrade. I think the S9 FE, even if it's not an amoled display, it's probably a modest upgrade for you and it comes with an s pen too. The P11 Pro Gen 2 is also a better version of this in some ways and it has an AMOLED display. Just bad software updates. So yeah. I'd go for a Tab S8, an S9 FE, or a Lenovo P11Pro Gen 2. I'd lean towards an S8 or S9 FE. Or an S9 obviously if you've got the money. OnePlus Pad is very good too
Just bought one of these. It's stuck on Android 12L and no sign of updates. Apparently this is a reality with some of these units. Also, the WiFi is terrible. Not very good coverage and it randomly drops off at times.
Yeah I haven't really had Wi-Fi issues, so sorry to hear about that. But Lenovo is known to be slow with updates or not update much at all. You can Google Lenovo update matrix and they should have a link with all the planned updates there
Google docs. I use google drive to organize files, and I make folders to organize things, and I can add a google doc to it, and type it up, it's all free.
Really like your tablet reviews! Question. In this review I noticed that you had a couple of Adobe Apps on it. In your opinion; what is the best low budget tablet with pen for Adobe creative cloud? I'm a graphic designer and looking for a "on the go" tablet with pen. Lenovo looks very great, but maybe Samsung is better? It's about the little things, such as Adobe Express (from the browser), making sketches (initial design phase), basic photo editing (Lightroom), but it would also be nice if I could edit videos in Premiere Rush (Android App). It is important that the tablet supports these apps from the Play Store in Android. I naturally do the heavy Photoshop work from my desktop PC. Any recommendations/experiences? Thanks in advance! 😃
I'd recommend the S9 FE. It comes with the stylus, and Samsung software is a little more reliable in the long run. If you check out my reviews on that, it should help. And if you find it on sale (pretty sure it is now). You can always buy one open box. On the product page there's a way to see open box items and normally you can find it in mint condition for an extra $50 to $100 off. That's if price is a concern. You can check out my review on my channel of the S9 FE or S9 FE Plus. If you decide to buy feel free to use my links. It helps me out
@@AndroidDigest thank you so much, decided to go for the Samsung tab S9 FE. Its cheaper when you subscribe as a Samsung member and comes with a free keyboard folio case 🤩👌🏻 Thanks again for your advice
Got this a few months ago. It is in overall a good budget tablet, except its GPS sensor which is really bad. It keeps losing GPS signal when using google map as in-car navigation. So back to using my old Samsung tab A8 which has been really good as a large screen navigator for driving.
Thanks so much. I don't have the device with me but I can almost guarantee it has it. It's pretty much a built-in thing on Android. Sometimes they call it different things but I haven't really seen a device that doesn't have it
P11 Gen 2. BUT software support is a little lacking. I still think it's on 12L for example. They are so slow with updates. And they are starting to commit to more updates on newer tablets. So keep all that in mind.
I purchased one last week. Its currently running android 13 and it is receiving android 14 towards the end of 2024. They're great tablets (look for 6GB RAM model if you can afford it!)
I love my lenovo tabler, i used to do ipad but i didnt like how much they often cost when i had to get a new one. i saw videos like this pop up over the years and seeing leneovo products being used at my work. So got it and enjoyed it since i went woth brand.
i believe this is a game changer to give >10"ips screen, 4 speakers, >4 gb ram on a mid range tablet, thus turned me away from Samsung mid-rangers, they give only the pen and anything else you ask for is available for premium range.
Hopefully you enjoy it. Just keep your expectations in check. It's not going to be as good as the phone. It's going to be a little slower. But it will be nice to have a tablet to watch some shows on I'm sure
I have this tablet for 3 months every time it goes to sleep it disconnects form WiFi and i have to restart it to get WiFi to work. sending it in for repair.
Nice review. Good to have 120Hz display but 90hz is good enough for most people. Anyway, how does this compare with Honor Pad X9 please? I'm focusing on performance as I guess that one has got Snapdragon 695.
I heard the Honor Pad X9 has the Snapdragon 685, if that's the case, edge to Lenovo. Otherwise it's probably a draw. I lean towards Lenovo in general vs Honor, but yeah it's a close race between the two tablets. I'd get the better deal.
Why Tablets are never testet with making music? My Lenovo P11 2nd Gen doesn't work with Cubasis 3.6 and Steinberg UR 22 Interface. It doesen't work with Zoom R20 Interface... What can I do? Nothing is written in Internet about this...Who can help? Is it a problem with Android 13? When can I get an update? To make music is my job.... Hope for help...
I can see why you would be disappointed from your perspective. I think the truth is most people don't use Android tablets or even iPads to make music. There are some use cases, some apps that you can use. But especially serious people in the music industry, they probably use Macs or windows devices to get things done. But even those professionals will occasionally use tablets to get some things done. And I'm sure it's pretty frustrating not to know what you can do with that. Most reviewers don't do music for a living though and they wouldn't have as much experience with that. Just like sometimes I get doctors in my comments asking if they could use this for med school. I don't know what they do in med school. Hopefully you could find some people with similar ideas and hobbies with some experience. Maybe on a Reddit board or something. I bet you could share about all this and someone would respond
From what I know pad 6 has video out on USB port, 144 htz compared to 120 on the p11 and no video out. Don't know how many os updates with the xiaomi. I'm still on Android 12l Xiaomi on 13. Productivity mode on my p11 is the poor mans Samsung Dex. Don't know where you are but on US Amazon Xiaomi pad 5 is $377 and p11 gen 2 is $238, but $199 on Lenovo's own website.
@@derrickgoodman8434 Hmm for me it's 300 dollars for the 6 gb 128 gb rob version. I'm just seeing if its worth it to skip but seems not, the xaomi performance should be leagues ahead even with a old but flagship snapdragon 870.
Yeah the xiaomi will be better for people outside the US. The processor is much faster. Everything else is a lot closer but that processor is a big deal
Do you know how to disable the taskbar at the bottom of the screen? It is in the way of my sons Roblox app and he can’t access the buttons at the bottom of the screen when he is using it. I can’t find anywhere on how to disable it. Thanks
That's complicated. If you see a tablet on sale and it doesn't say cellular, if it doesn't say 4G, or 5G in the title, it probably doesn't have cellular connectivity. Tablets like this are very random for if they ever offer cellular connectivity, if they do offer it, they normally charge more for it. But again, it's very random depending on the country. Almost every tablet listing is going to show Wi-Fi, and if Wi-Fi is in the title then no, no cellular connectivity. Even if it doesn't say Wi-Fi, if it doesn't talk about cellular connectivity at all in the title, it normally doesn't have it. I would say in most cases, you probably won't find this tablet with cellular connectivity. It's possible it's out there. I didn't do any research on that. But I wouldn't count on it
If the device doesn't have an IMEI number it doesn't support cellular calls directly. You might have to use an external modem like a cellular phone or a modem supporting cellular calls. You can be using a WiFi connection to be making calls. Just like Skype or Messenger. But you'll have to identify yourself one way or the other. It's been a long time since I used apps/software to connect to a person like that. There even were apps for computers allowing for at least texting. 10 years ago - a lot of things were almost for free. Many independent developers and companies have been bought - because a service means something you could be making money from. If they're "free". You pay with your data - regardless of the platform. If you use Facebook you pay with your data. Using Google is no different. You either pay up front or have your data collected, sold and used. In short if you didn't buy a device with cellular access -you'll be made to pay. For a long time - companies have paid for certain apps being present on a given platform. I've paid for not having so many apps. Almost any app/software I use is a "pro" version either allowing for access to certain features or avoiding paying with my data. Now Samsung is talking about the customers having to pay on a subscription for certain AI-features - it's a part of the package on Google devices - you paid for a device having access. Now Google is talking about wanting royalties. In the future any device or even vehicles could be identical in the hardware. What decides if it's an entry model, medium, large, extra/pro could be down to what you've subscribed for. Your device is ready - paying unlocks the features. If you download a telephone app and use the service code for checking the IMEI - if it comes out empty - your device isn't directly supported...
Anyone some idea how to put a custom downloaded Live Wallpaper on the lock screen? It only shows the option for the internal Live Wallpaper and pictures. Nothing else. Thanks :)
Maybe very light stuff, without a ton of extra stuff on the timeline, 720 or 1080. I wouldn't do 4k for sure. And I wouldn't do long 1080p videos either
If you're talking about the keyboard you got from Lenovo, you may want to contact them directly. Contact their customer service and they may end up exchanging it for you if you are in warranty
The keyboard and the pen look similar to my Fire Max 11. I wonder if Lenovo builds the Fire max 11? Between the 2 I would probably spend more and get the Lenovo just because it comes with Android and will get some updates unlike my Fire tablet which I side loaded the Play Store on.
Most tablets will last the same amount of time, but a lot of tablets that are slower will feel slower as they age, and you can just factory reset them. But all tablets will feel a little slower over time. Get a really good flagship one if you don't want to have to worry, otherwise, this is still a good tablet
I used to live in a small town near the Canada border, north of Buffalo. That place holds a special place in my heart even though I only lived there a couple of years.
Honestly, if you're okay with Samsung I would look towards something like the tab S9 Fe or S9 Fe Plus. That would allow you to get something smaller but something a little bit better than this. The S8 Ultra is a really really good tablet and I don't want you to have a huge huge downgrade there
Just got this for myself now for Christmas. Overall I am happy except for a few annoying things. That stupididly annoying taskbar at the bottom of the screen can not be turned off and it always displays 5 google apps that I never use. Hopefully it does not cause screen burnin over time. The haptic feedback is very weak. Sound is ok, but nothing to get excited about. I use the Nova launcher instead of the default launxher on all my android devices. There are a few features not working correcrly. And although its not a Lenovo thing, there are some annoying features of android 13, like the pull down settings only taking up 1/3 of the screen. As a result, text gets cut off if you are using a larger font. I prefer to use the 3 button navigation, but that stupid taskbar that never turns off forces the 3 buttons into a tiny space on either the left middle or right. If its in the middle, you can not use them because those stupid google icons that are always showing interfere.
From my experience, and I can't remember 100%, but when you have the gestures turned on, you can normally hold your finger on the gesture button and the taskbar will go away. I can't say it will go away with the nova launcher. But that's typical behavior with Android. I don't remember testing it in my time with it and I used it for some weeks. Just didn't mess with it. But try it out if you get time. (if it doesn't work on nova try on the normal launcher)
I am a lot on the road and I love to have something bigger than a phone for the Zoom calls and also to work on Canva for the newsletter. Anyone had have experience with CANVA and this tablet

Great Video! I'm looking for a android tablet and happened to find this is my research. Your Video has been helping quite alot! One question though: Can you maybe say something about the aspect ratio in comparison to an DIN A4 sheet of paper? I'm a musician and want to have all my sheets on the tablet. Maybe that's an idea for a new video? :)
I wish I could, I don't have much time to test that too be honest, and some devices come and go, and that device is long gone, so don't have it here to test, sorry!
@@AndroidDigestall I’m looking to do is basically a pdf reader (for music charts with editing thinking the stylus will be useful) and Netflix etc when travelling with some Microsoft office use
It should, but there has been a weird glitch with some Lenovo tablets and the widevine stuff that helps you watch netflix in hd. They have rolled out some patches I think, but to some tablets maybe they are slower with that. They SHOULD fix that though, and you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the apps to see if it triggers anything, or a factory reset, BUT you may want to search more on the lenovo forums about this, I know a lot of people were discussing.
@AndroidDigest I have tried for 5 or 6 months to fix this it looks like the widevine is on L1 when you go into the system specs using some app from the store. My buddy has one he has exact same problem will not play the Vudu HDX I fix it this weekend by selling it and bought a S8 Ultra refurbished tablet for 569. Problem solved
Well oled is on the p11 pro gen 2. I just made a video on that too . Hope I didn't say oled in this video. It's IPS LCD. The P11 Pro Gen 2 is oled. (Pro version). Still. Even with LCD, the 120hz is really good for the money

This Lenovo tablet has an IPS LCD that looks SOOOO much better and doesn't give me a headache. HIGHLY recommended.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I just can't do no more OS updates like the Tab S7 provides. I think the S8 is a real sweet spot on the market for really good tablets at a good price
Thanks.
@derrickgoodman8434 Hola, que tal el rendimiento de la batería de la Lenovo P11 2nd gen?
Thank you for the review, that helps in the buying decision. Also Tablets are just additional gadgets. If I want high refresh rate, super fast multi-tasking and so on, then I have my PC. But I can understand it, if others want a high-end tablet, maybe because it's their only device and thus it should be great.
I agree! Does well for the basics
True but using a 60Hz tablet is downright disgusting if you are used to 120Hz+ on PC and phone. So good thing 120Hz screens came to the lower end tablet spectrum.
Does it come with screen rejection
Thank you. You helped me make my decision. Especially with the keyboard.
I hope it helps!
Would you recommend the iPad 9th gen over this?
Thanks man! Will get it tomorrow!
Hope you enjoy it
I got this 3 months ago but there's 1 thing that stood out, its an entertainment machine, not a productivity one. Very laggy otherwise. Just get the 6gig version and it'll be the best
For sure. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
I got this tablet as a Christmas present, and i couldn't be more happier! By this price i think this is a great tablet for studying and watching videos :))

Which would you recommend this or honor pad x9 for a budget tablet thank you
I would love to see some of their tablets support "Ready For" which is arguably better Dex, given its native 4K support, extra gaming modes, brand new cooling / first party dock...
It's available on much of their phones via USBC to hdmi. and on their razr (, but with only the wireless miracast version). I would assume it would be something that would want to make use on at least the pro version of their tablets but I don't know for sure
Stick to audio sir
Is "Ready For" better than Dex? I might find that hard to believe. Lenovo and Motorola seems to be the same company now. A month or two ago I buy my first Moto smartphone, the stylus 2023 5G. Based on my experience, the software isn't that great even with decent hardware spec. I even compared it to a older but similar spec Redmi 10c and I had a better experience with Redmi. I suffered lag with Moto as well as freezes. I was unable to dual task as it would aggressive close programs if I tried to run two things at a time.
Excellent video great points to consider
Thanks so much
Where can i get the keyboard alone, already have the tablet??
Excellent review, thank you!
Thanks for checking it out
Is screen protector for p11 pro gen 2 compatible with p11 gen2? Or too small?
Not sure but do Android versions effect what you can get from the Google Play store?
Ergo, will it limit you somewhat by updates running out?
Yes and no, mostly no. Most apps may require Android 7.0 and up or 8.0 and up, but you can run a device for years and years and still be behind on updates. Plus google does increase security in some ways through some play store updates.
@@AndroidDigest Thanks for your feedback. My old tablet had 3Gb RAM and found out by chance it did not show Geekbench 6. Wasn't shure it was Android 12 or the hardware. In my case it was the hardware.
thank you, great video!! and it is a great little tablet!!.. do know the part number for the keyboard by any chance?
I don't, sorry!
Definitely an amazing tablet for the price, its sad that there's no software support tho.

Do you think this tablet is suitable for students?
Hey hope you answer this, is this suitable for reading books for long hours as a student?
That's complicated. Looking at any screen for hours may not be ideal. This is plenty good enough for reading but your eyes could get sore looking at a screen. There are settings to make it easier on the eyes though
Does it have video out? I believe it has desktop mode but could you plug it into another monitor also?
No video out unfortunately.
Are there any decent budget android tablets that do allow it that you know of? Around this price range?@@AndroidDigest
Overall which one's better this or the S6 lite (2022) considering everything like note taking, web surfing and light gaming?
@@AndroidDigestcan you test this please? This is pretty important information
1440p Max res. for p11 gen 2
Is it 4Gb ram ? Or the 6Gb ! Could make a difference with more apps open ...
4GB
Has the software improved performance at all since you made the video? Just bought one for $180+tax for my angst-filled, bored tween.
The software experience is fine, it's just that lenovo animations look a little jumpy to me sometimes. Your tween will enjoy it especially if they are fairly new to tech anyway. But I haven't been able to test it recently, but maybe others can weigh in, or maybe you can now that you probably have it
Is this one worth spending a lil extra compared to its smaller cousin the m10 gen 3?
Ive been debating on which one to get this or the m10 gen 3
If it's just a little more yes. Like $50 more or less. Yes. $100 more. It's a toss up. I would compare the price to the 4GB M10 though and not the 3GB of RAM model
@AndroidDigest
so, the m10 gen 3 4gb ram 64gb storage cost 225.99 this one is 327.70 4gb 128gb storage both after tax and price is on cad. If I do buy the m10 I'm gonna have to upgrade the storage since 64 is iffy, compared to 128 storage of the p11
Lenovo is much more cost effective than Apple (used to be a fan). Tablets & laptops. iPads are boring and very expensive…

I need to! So many videos to make though, to be honest I don't think I'll get to it. But stay tuned, just covered the A9_+ and I'll be covering more tablets too
Looking at one, is 4Gb ram and 128 GBs enough for CapCut? And I am planning on using external hard drive etc.
Cap cut on Android is really best for things like tiktok. If you're just editing 1080p footage I would say it should be enough. But there's only one video track, luma fusion has a little more features
Does the palm rejection work well?
Greetings from Spain
I wanna know this too!
Would you consider this an upgrade to the galaxy s5e? I'm considering replacing my s5e with this.
OnePlus Pad is very good too
@@AndroidDigest thanks for the quick reply! Also have you had a chance to look at that new lenovo budget tablet the M11 I think it's called?
Just bought one of these. It's stuck on Android 12L and no sign of updates. Apparently this is a reality with some of these units. Also, the WiFi is terrible. Not very good coverage and it randomly drops off at times.
Yeah I haven't really had Wi-Fi issues, so sorry to hear about that. But Lenovo is known to be slow with updates or not update much at all. You can Google Lenovo update matrix and they should have a link with all the planned updates there
I got this tablet free with the purchase of my moto g stylus 5g 2023

How is it . I want to buy
What would you think about getting Motorola's 2023 Edge + phone along with this tablet for $799?
It's a good option. It's not a groundbreaking best deal ever, but it is a good deal overall.
@@AndroidDigest…Thank you for the feedback.
Got this a few months ago. It is in overall a good budget tablet, except its GPS sensor which is really bad. It keeps losing GPS signal when using google map as in-car navigation. So back to using my old Samsung tab A8 which has been really good as a large screen navigator for driving.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Stinks about the gps though
LOVED this review. Does it have a Night Light / Warm Light Mode please?
Thanks so much. I don't have the device with me but I can almost guarantee it has it. It's pretty much a built-in thing on Android. Sometimes they call it different things but I haven't really seen a device that doesn't have it
Which is the better tablet? The Lenovo Tab P11 2nd Gen or the Lenovo Tab M11? I can get the P11 for $10 more than the M11.
So which did you get and why, and are you pleased with your choice?
I love my lenovo tabler, i used to do ipad but i didnt like how much they often cost when i had to get a new one. i saw videos like this pop up over the years and seeing leneovo products being used at my work. So got it and enjoyed it since i went woth brand.
Glad you're enjoying it
i believe this is a game changer to give >10"ips screen, 4 speakers, >4 gb ram on a mid range tablet, thus turned me away from Samsung mid-rangers, they give only the pen and anything else you ask for is available for premium range.
Just got one thrown in buying the Motorola edge plus 512 gb phone as a bundle deal
Hopefully you enjoy it. Just keep your expectations in check. It's not going to be as good as the phone. It's going to be a little slower. But it will be nice to have a tablet to watch some shows on I'm sure
Does the "keyboard cover" level ou the camera bump?
I believe so. I don't have the tablet with me anymore since the review, so I can't guarantee that but I do believe it does
I have this tablet for 3 months every time it goes to sleep it disconnects form WiFi and i have to restart it to get WiFi to work. sending it in for repair.
Mines do the same thing... did they say what they're repairing because that's the only option they're giving me. Is to send in to repair.
Is it possible to navigate with the stylus like it is with an SPen where you can use the stylus for scrolling etc.?
It works with the Lenovo Precision Pen 2 (2023). It should work with scrolling and things like that.
Motorola/Lenovo is making good things for the money. Thank you!

how it compare to xaomi pad 6?
From what I know pad 6 has video out on USB port, 144 htz compared to 120 on the p11 and no video out. Don't know how many os updates with the xiaomi. I'm still on Android 12l Xiaomi on 13. Productivity mode on my p11 is the poor mans Samsung Dex. Don't know where you are but on US Amazon Xiaomi pad 5 is $377 and p11 gen 2 is $238, but $199 on Lenovo's own website.
@@derrickgoodman8434 Hmm for me it's 300 dollars for the 6 gb 128 gb rob version.

Yeah the xiaomi will be better for people outside the US. The processor is much faster. Everything else is a lot closer but that processor is a big deal

Hello . This has any support for Bluetooth mouse
Yes it does. A Bluetooth mouse will work no problem
Can I fit a SIM card and make phone calls from Lenovo 2nd Gen? I have one but want cellular access.

I want to know how long this tablet last.
Most tablets will last the same amount of time, but a lot of tablets that are slower will feel slower as they age, and you can just factory reset them. But all tablets will feel a little slower over time. Get a really good flagship one if you don't want to have to worry, otherwise, this is still a good tablet

I have the S8 Ultra and misjudged the size of the tablet, its nice to use but I need a midsize tablet for just work and looking at this option
Honestly, if you're okay with Samsung I would look towards something like the tab S9 Fe or S9 Fe Plus. That would allow you to get something smaller but something a little bit better than this. The S8 Ultra is a really really good tablet and I don't want you to have a huge huge downgrade there
Does it have palm rejection??
Yes it does
Just got this for myself now for Christmas.
Hey, how's it now? Is it laggy?
Can this be connected to external monitor ?
That's a great question, I would assume so given their emphasis on the ready for mode on their phones.
p11 pro 2nd gen has type-c 3.0 output , here is 2.0 which doesnt support that feature.
Unfortunately it's usb 2.0. some type of mhl cable may manipulate things but can't use a monitor normally through a usb c hub

Canva should work fine on it honestly. I wouldn't see an issue with it. I didn't personally use Canva but it's not super resource intensive.
@@AndroidDigest thanks I probably will use it mostly when I am in the road. Thanks, the video really helped
Okay i just buy the Lenovo P11 (2nd Gen 11.5 128GB Gray Tablet Android 12L from Amazon 209$ the other one is 254$ with the keyboard and pen and I already have a touchpad keyboard and a vextor tablet also the only problem is the battery left dies so fast while playing a game but thanks for the heads up brother 👍🏾👌🏾💯%🏆
Guys does it work with wired usb headphones?
yeah, if they connect through a usb-c adapter.
Thank you 🎉
this or the lenovo tab m11?
This is better. The M11 may be a little bit of a better value depending on if you need the accessories
@@AndroidDigestall I’m looking to do is basically a pdf reader (for music charts with editing thinking the stylus will be useful) and Netflix etc when travelling with some Microsoft office use
Mine will not play hd content netflix or vudu very dissapointed.
Does anyone know if I can use this tablet for go pro editing videos?
It will probably do okay as long as they are lower resolution, depending on the program. But it definitely will struggle with 4k video though.
I was thinking about this, the tab a9+ or the tabS6 lite. But the 120hz and oled ia a gamechanger
Well oled is on the p11 pro gen 2. I just made a video on that too . Hope I didn't say oled in this video. It's IPS LCD. The P11 Pro Gen 2 is oled. (Pro version). Still. Even with LCD, the 120hz is really good for the money
