Carrey was actually in the last Dirty Harry film, The Dead Pool (1988). He played a high concept metal rocker. For a shot time. 😏
When he said he wasn't ready for a relationship, that was a crack on Einhorn, not all women. 😏

Great to have you back, Mary. After all the content you have put in this channel, you truly deserved that break. If you’re going to see more Indian films, I highly recommend this oldie called “ABCD Any Body Can Dance.” This is one will show how very integral dancing is in their way of life, even in the modern world.

When I was a kid my family lived in Homestead, FL which is part of Miami-Dade County so the Dolphins where my football team growing up, they also at the time shared the stadium (then known as Joe Robbie Stadium) with the then Florida Marlins (now Miami Marlins), my dad and brother went to the Superbowl the year it was hosted there and me and my dad went to a Marlins game at that stadium (I have a souvenir baseball from that trip) so i've been to that stadium. Also as a kid the school I was in took us on a field trip to a renaissance fair, the fair was held on the grounds of that building where the party is (the "do not go in their" party) so i've actually stood on those same steps they are walking up from the car (fun fact thats actually the rear of the property). My oldest sister also worked with autistic kids for some big organization and they had organized some kind of group outing or something one time that Dan Marino was involved in (he has an autistic kid if you didn't know) so my sister got to spend a day hanging out with Dan Marino, keeping in mind he was our quarterback growing up. So I have some connection to this film.

The Mask was the real springboard to success for Jim Carrey. It came out in the same year after this one. You can say this one was the first real hit and The Mask the blowout that made him an overnight sensation

Jim Carrey got fairly well known for his work on the show In Living Color. He had a supporting role in the Gina Davis/Jeff Goldblum film Earth Girls Are Easy (1988). He had a staring role back in 1985 with Once Bitten. Check them out. Also, look up Fire Marshall Bill clips from In Living Color: They are awesome

Jim Carrey was on a show called In Living Color, where a lot of very successful comedians and actors got their start. The Wayans Brothers, David Alan Grier, Jamie Foxx, and Jennifer Lopez to name the ones off of the top of my head, but that was where most of the world would have been introduced to Jim's insanity. He played a character called Fire Chief Bill that has endured for lovers of the show.
Ace Ventura Part 2 is worth a watch too! 🐬

Pet Detective was Jim Carreys first movie as a lead actor to do well at the box office. He was in a few other movies that didn’t do very well and a couple of shows. But after Ace Ventura is when his career took off. The fact Jim had 3 movies in 1994 that were hugely successful proves how great of a actor and comedic genius he is

His big break was "the white guy" on the sketch comedy show In Living Color. The year 1994 is what made him a huge star. He was the lead in three hit comedies that all came out that same year: The Mask, Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
