Folks, not to brag about it, but notice how small these bluegill were, and yet i didn't have an empty cast. Catching baby bluegill does NOT require skill, but if you keep getting bites and u can't catch them - you should give this some thought. Because there is something on your rig - line or jig or lure - that is not yet FINESSE ENOUGH.
@@wholybatman 5 lb is great for Float fishing... but if we talk about Twitching a trout magnet... you gota drop to 2.3 lb. You are not gona cast a 1 gram BG-1 with that..
@@ifishcatfish I reckon I’ll play with plugs (little walk-the-dog sticks, light shallow divers, maybe 1.8g jigs) until I actually learn the ways of fishing this light. I’ll target bream and flathead this winter in Australia, and I’ll have some fun with the mullet (the saltwater bluegill;). Like… I don’t know how to better explain the level of my noobness when it comes to ultra light. To me, ultralight is a size #16 hook and a bit of bread, tossing into a school of bait 😂 But that’s ok.. we’ll get there. Out of curiosity, can you “cast” the BG-1 across the globe? Or are you operating only in the US?
I need to start keeping a notebook near me when I'm watching your videos! Seriously... Too much good information. I just ordered a Daiwa Iprimi 5'6" from Amazon Japan. The price dropped from $136 all the way down to $85 and I couldn't resist!
This is how i have always fished trout magnets. I never really twitched them. My rods that i have, actions were never crisp enough to be able to get what i felt to be good quick snappy twitches. It was more like swimming with a twitch hop action. Glad for the recommendations on USA twitching rods you gave. Now we just need a video on acceptable USA available lines to use for twitching.
I still can't believe watching you fish hooking all these fish and how soft the releases from that fish's mouth every time Nobody else that I watch on UA-cam has catches and Smooth releases like you and the BG_1
Ahoj! nice video! 1) Could you please advice where would i be able to order this rod? any recommendation for webshop? 2) will you make your gloves in other color? Im from Houston and i would not put any dark / black color on me when it is burning here. any size chart available ? i could not find your your website. Or simple there is not a big of a difference between L and XL due to elastic materials ?(im from Hungary and has large hands but L or Xl is still a question) 3) when will you have your trout magnet bait? :D
All good questions, and, sadly, i don't have any good answers for you, even though i should 1. I don't recommend shops any more to avoid liability. People receive defective tackle and then they come to me for help. NO MORE OF THAT. 2. I will make them in another color for sure, i am receiving color samples next week. But it will be a few months before that happens. I know about the dark color thing but i fish up to 90F here in TN and i can tell you they still feel good. But Houston is far hotter than TN, so i get it, but come september, u should try this color. As for sizes, they are universal. If u bought any other gloves from Amazon, u can use that as guidance. The factory that made these makes gloves for other companies that sell on amazon and they tell me its the same size. 3. I am working on my lure already, but to get the molds done and do all the art and packaging and manufacturing... its not gona happen this year. But i hope early next year, maybe March, in time for spring season..
I took out my old stock trout magnets i bought a bunch of 50 pack bags years ago. I laid a few on a lufkin tape. My measurement came out to be 1 3/16” long. So you guys are saying new stock from them Leland lures are smaller now? By how much. what’s your new measurements?
they are thinner. I didn't measure but i put 10 pieces on the scale, and then put 10 pieces of the new ones on the scale, and the new ones were 22% LIGHTER. That is a fact. They are visibly thinner too but i cant tell u how much thinner
@@ifishcatfish Oh, thinner. I thought it was length. In my opinion, i felt there were fine just how they was! Thats a shame. When you goto design your plastic lures. You should make one with a thin single tail. So when fishing your floats just the movement on the surface will make the tail dance. Like the Fish Stalker slab tail baits. But smaller size for gills. 👍🏼
That new bellezza has really caught my eye, it almost loads up and is visibly sensitive on small fish like a solid tip, but is tubular. I really like that rod. So many new rods, shimanos trout one, the new banshee, the new trout rise, and jacksons new rod+ abus new stream trc field rods (they are amazing for bfs stream, but nobody would like them in U.S because they are super wobbly for flip casting)
@ifishcatfish it's that good huh? It's really reasonably priced also, I've seen it for only 150ish$ would you reccomend this over other rods at this pricepoint? I may pull the trigger
@@12345B i already recommended this rod in prior videos and got at least 5 emails that its sold out everywhere and people ask me where can they get it. If it ever comes back in stock im sure they will jack up the price, but most likely they will get just enough to backfill some orders.
@@12345B i think this was the best model i saw. But i think all of their tubular models are good, so maybe consider getting a shorter one, or different power or something like that
i have at least 10 bags of old ones, but only about 10 pieces of the bison color. But by the time i run out i will have my own trout magnet, that will be easy to install and will match perfectly : )
nice video! i had much better luck after switching from the trout magnet jig head to a jig head that has size 10 or 12 hook. the size 8 on trout magnet jig head is too big for little bluegill.
I don’t know why the leaf blower bothered you. I’m surprised you could even hear it with all the cicadas. Maybe it wasn’t cicadas. Had a cold last week so now my ears are closed so everything sounds really weird. Great video Victor

The big ones bite a steady retrieve as well. I'm catching 9" & 10" bedding coppernose.
Yamaga 67tz - arrived. Vanquish 2000 - arrived. A match made in heaven! I put 5lb twitchmaster on it… I guess Im just not finesse enough 😂

One day. Doing a 3D design of entire lure seems to be a long process with many fails along the way...
great video! i learned something new today. I have been trying .6 gram BG 1 and they are perfect for the larva z!!
can u really cast that? I have never cast these jigs myself. I fish them only under a float, to get slower sink when i fish very shallos..

If its thin enough ot will be fine. Read labels in mm and go for something no more than 0.12mm doameter
